My partner was immediately impressed by the power. Top-to-bottom vibrations were potent in a way he hadn’t experienced before. Yet, all that power came with some problems. On lower settings, sometimes only one motor shorted out, but most of the time, both motors would stop. It was more than a little disappointing. My partner had better luck with the higher settings, though it still sometimes stopped. He felt like the power was worth the irritation, however.
I watched the promo video to find out more about what to expect, and it suggests that irregularity is what makes us feel human. I’m not sure I agree, but they put this axiom into practice with humanize mode, which is like any other rhythm but less rhythmic. The AI mode is similar but slightly more predictable. Neither added a super realistic element to my partner’s edging sessions, but they were novel and fun to explore.
Overall, it’s customizable, tech-forward, and durable. We’ll be using this for the foreseeable future. But we do recommend opening yours right away to see if there are problems with the motor.
Who Should Try It? My partner felt like this would work best for people with smaller penises, since the motor shorts out when there’s friction midway. The motor was most reliable at higher speeds, so it will work well for those who like strong vibrations. It’s a great stroker for anyone who wants full customization of each motor and who can climax from vibration or stroking.
Who Can Skip It? If you need reliable vibration and have a moderate to large penis, this won’t work well for you. Also, if you want something discreet, this won’t cut it because of the noise level. How Do I Use the LELO F2S Double Sonic?
Start with the trifecta: unbox, charge, and wash. The website estimated it would take two hours to charge and then last two hours on a full charge. It lasted well over two hours on top settings when I tested it, so you can expect an impressive battery life.
- Grab water-based lubricant and lube up the inner corridor of the Double Sonic as well as your penis.
- Place your penis inside the stroker, and then use the three-button panel or the app to navigate the settings.
- When you’re finished, wash it and place it inside a makeup bag for storage.
My Personal Experience
Having enjoyed LELO’s previous stroker offerings, my partner and I were interested in their latest tech-savvy strokers. LELO marketed the F2S Double Sonic as their most realistic stroker yet, plus tech-forward app modes. My partner loves strokers that offer vibration, so we dove in right away.
Design
Right off the bat, we liked the color, and we liked that they made it a bit longer. The additional inches make it more enthralling for people with longer penises and anyone who likes to have their head stimulated.
There is a smooth ridge in the middle with something noticeably firm underneath. If you’re not prepared and sufficiently lubed, it can feel pinchy. And there are more seams than seem necessary, wordplay intended. Though it felt good, at no point did my partner think it felt realistic.
I love that the design means you can enter the stroker from either side and get the same experience. The extra motor means that your penis will be stimulated at both ends, and you could even share it with a friend if that’s something you’re interested in.
Material
The material feels soft. The texture was too subtle for my partner to notice much of a difference. The ridges are vertical, so they don’t create as much of a fuss during stroking, since you stroke along the texture rather than against it. It’s subtle and didn’t rub him raw even during more vigorous sessions.
Stimulations
One of the big upgrades in this stroker model is the double motor that pleasures both ends of the erection. The vibrations are powerful, and when both work as intended, they feel great. My partner easily climaxed from the combination of stroking and vibrations.
When my partner inserted his erection, the motor occasionally shorted out. And when I say occasionally, I mean with reliable frequency. Whenever my partner’s penis hit the middle while he was erect, the vibrations would short. This was a frustrating finding because it made climaxing difficult. If you like a syncopated rhythm, this might not be a dealbreaker, but if you prefer consistent stimulation, it likely will be. My partner often had to hold it still to keep the vibrations coming, or sacrifice the vibrations by stroking.
Sound Level
This is certainly audible. The bass drone of the vibrations will be noticeable unless you have thick walls. When I tested the sound level, it reached 60 dB but went no higher. Even so, that is pretty darn loud, and I could hear it from the other room with the door closed. This masturbator will be best for someone who doesn’t need much privacy because the decibels make your activities quite evident.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The LELO F2S Double Sonic build quality gets points for solid, easy-to-grip, waterproof materials. However, the motor loses quality points for shorting out so often.
The longer build was much appreciated by my partner, who enjoyed a more thorough vibrating sensation all along his shaft. It was decadent, especially in combination with stroking.
LELO App
The LELO app is a work in progress, and several developments have surfaced since the last time I was able to dig in. First off, it offers AI-interactive modes as well as a setting called “humanize.” You can also build your stamina via the app with endurance training sessions. The training isn’t mind-blowing, but it works well if you are motivated to maintain streaks. Gamified stamina training was fun for my partner, as he loves a daily challenge. It allows you to track progress and duration as you go.
The humanize mode wasn’t stunning in terms of realism. It adds arrhythmic variations to the stimulation but doesn’t feel much like the human experience. The AI modes are what I’ve come to expect from apps, which means somewhat surprising but not groundbreaking.
All in all, the interface is easy to navigate, intuitive, customizable, and fun. It’s not the best app we’ve used, but it does help you get the most out of this stroker.
Ease of Use
One of my partner’s favorite aspects of this stroker is that it can be as easy to use or as customized and high-tech as you want on any given day. You can use the button interface for simplicity, or you can connect it to the app for extra options and AI-driven experiences. The waterproof materials mean you can take it anywhere and wash it easily. Lastly, the app’s layout is straightforward to navigate.
Versatility
This stroker is versatile. The waterproof materials go anywhere you go, and the app compatibility allows for ultra-customizable experiences. However, it lacks versatility for different sizes of penises. Anyone who is extra-large may find this offers an uncomfortably tight squeeze.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing
The most glaring issue is how often the motor shorted out. In short, it happened often. The only other drawbacks are the loudness and the lack of a storage bag.
Review Summary
The biggest difference between this stroker and its predecessors is the deep, potent, all-encompassing vibrations thanks to the motors at each end. At $280, it’s only worth it for those willing to pay top dollar for gamified stamina training, long-distance app control, and the durability of a luxury stroker. Skip it if you have an extraordinarily large penis or need something quiet and discreet.

LELO F2S and F1S
Before the F2S Double Sonic came the original F2S, as well as the F1S. The LELO F2S is a bit shorter but shares the overall design, look, and materials of the Double Sonic. The Double Sonic feels squishier, and my partner preferred its texture. The F1S had only one opening, so it would be uncomfortable for longer penises, and the F2S Double Sonic fixes that oversight. The F1S came in multiple sizes for added versatility; the F2S Double Sonic comes in just one size, which can be quite tight for larger erections. Earlier versions of the LELO F2S Double Sonic are available at more affordable prices; invest in the latest one only if you want the most powerful vibration experience.
Lovense Calor
The Lovense Calor is one of my partner’s most beloved strokers, but he felt the F2S Double Sonic outclassed it. The Calor allows you to squeeze and grip more tightly, which is the only component that he wished the Double Sonic had. The Calor is heated and vibrates, as well. But the ability to feel intense vibrations while stroking, plus the app’s customizability, makes the F2S Double Sonic his choice for getting off most nights. The Calor costs $200, and half that when on sale, so it is a good choice for anyone on a budget.
