Lovense Calor is billed as a Bluetooth remote control pocket pussy, which I think is a bit of a misnomer. While it’s undoubtedly a masturbatory aid for people with penises, there’s no way it would fit in your pocket, and it looks more like a thermos than a pussy. It’s like a heated pocket pussy that got a significant design upgrade! Follow along in my testing to see how it performs!
After testing Lovense Calor for a month, it quickly became my new favorite penis toy. It gave me excellent all-around penis stimulation, and the heating function offered extra spice to the experience. The Lovense Remote app was outstanding and offered a customizable experience and many remote play options, a game changer for long-distance couples. I can’t recommend it enough. Get it today if you want a unique and new penis massage experience!
Who Should Try It? If you like toys with incredible customizability, a top-of-the-line app, and a cozy heating feature, Calor is an excellent product.
Who Can Skip It? Since Calor has many features, it’s also a bit expensive. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles in the smartphone app, you can buy a more basic, cheaper model, such as the Blowmotion or JimmyJane Arvos instead, two devices with warming functions but no smartphone app.
You Can Buy It on Lovehoney for $139.99. Use code MSTG15 for 15% off!

Drink in the Pleasure!
There’s little you can’t do with this automatic male masturbator cup. It has powerful vibrations, a squishy side so you can use as much intensity as you’d like, and it can heat up. Further, it gives you depth control, meaning the depth sensor senses your body, and the further inside you are, the more penis stimulation you get.
I don’t have the necessary genitals to test this toy, but I am the designated megaphone for my partner’s penis, and we were both excited to see if this device lived up to expectations. Welcome to my Lovense Calor review!
First Impressions & Features
Lovense Calor features at a glance:
- Material: Silicone
- Size: 2.6” x 6.26”, insertable length 6.02”
- Color: Black
- Mechanism: Heated vibrating male masturbator
- Weight: 12.25 oz
Packaging
Lovense toys always come with exactly what you need. The Calor arrived in a sturdy box with the toy, a USB charging cable, a storage bag, and a user manual. That ticks all my boxes!
Material
The body is made from body-safe materials and the inner sleeve is silicone. Body-safe materials are usually more expensive, but they’re easier to clean and keep in the long run than toys that use TPE, like the Lovense Max 2.
I reached out to Lovense to find out what other materials it’s made of since it doesn’t say on the website or in the user manual. They gave me an answer the next day to let me know that the remainder of the body is made from ABS plastic and that none of their sex toys contain phthalates or harmful chemicals.
Dimensions
This toy is the size of a large coffee mug. It’s not tiny, but it would be easy enough to bring on a trip for on-the-go pleasure.
Design
Though the body looks like a cup of coffee, it has the features of a new toy with plenty to offer people with penises. The design is discreet, modern, and super easy to use.
Battery Life and Charging
The user manual says the Calor will last 1.5-2 hours on a full charge. To charge, plug the magnetic charging cable into a USB power source and connect it magnetically to the sex toy.
When I tested it, it took 85 minutes to charge and lasted 136 minutes—over the estimated time, which is always a pleasant surprise.
Warranty and Support
The Calor is backed by a one-year warranty.
How To Use Lovense Calor?
Controls
The buttons were not immediately intuitive, so the user manual is worth a quick read.
- The toy has two buttons along one edge near where the charging cord connects, which the user manual refers to as Button A and Button B; however, they aren’t labeled on the Calor.
- On the opposite edge is a soft handle to manually adjust the squeeze sensation inside the toy. The Calor has caps at each end to prevent dust from getting in the tube. Handy!
- When the device is held in the operating position with the charging port and buttons away from your body, there is a down arrow (Button B) and a circled up arrow (Button A).
- Pressing the circled button for three seconds turns the toy on in standby mode. If the toy is connected to the charger at this point, this will also initiate the heating mechanism, which is indicated with an orange light on the down arrow.
- If you want the toy to be warm and toasty for your session, let it sit for a little while, still charging, before you get started.
Lovense Remote App
The Lovense remote app makes this a perfect toy for people who are in a long-distance relationship. It’s one of the best apps on the market, and it’s one of the features that make this toy stand out in the sea of pocket pussies.
- You can connect with your partner’s toy (if they have one), and they can connect with your toy for simultaneous worldwide masturbating.
- In addition, you can relinquish control of your toy and give it to someone to operate remotely, and you can try the settings saved by people who live all over the world.
- You can sync the device to music, use it as an alarm, or use the video chat option on the app to let a friend witness your activities.
- You can even program ten different vibration patterns or operate via the app rather than the buttons if you prefer. The options are nearly endless.
The app control is reliably great—and our Bluetooth connection remained stable the whole time. The Lovense software is second to none, and most of their toys are fully compatible with it.

My Personal Experience
Ease Of Use
When my partner first tried the Calor, he was excited to see how it would perform. Before getting comfortable with the button operations, he connected it to the Lovense app (among the best in the industry) to control it more easily.
The toy has two buttons along one edge near where the charging cord connects. On the opposite edge is a soft handle that my partner soon realized was meant to manually adjust the tightness inside the toy.
The toy has end caps at each end to prevent dust from getting in the tube. I love an easy-to-clean stroker! Before getting started, remove these caps and get the Calor nice and clean with soap and water.
Once the toy is as warm as you want it (pro-tip: test it with your finger first, as it gets surprisingly hot), disconnect the USB charging cord and put plenty of water-based lube on both yourself and the inside of the toy. By default, it starts in pressure-activated mode. So, as soon as he inserted himself, the toy started going.
Settings
Pressing the down button for 3 seconds switches the toy out of pressure-activated mode, so the vibrations continue uninterrupted. From there, the up and down arrows will cycle through the three levels of constant vibration and four built-in patterns.
Unlike most of the toys I’ve used in the past, you can backtrack when picking a pattern. Often, if you move past a setting you like, you must click one button repeatedly until you’ve cycled back to the one you want. You can hit the up and down button to move in either direction along the spectrum of options. It was a nice feature that I wish some other toys would add.
As long as the Calor is not in the pressure-activated mode, it seems to be able to be used without an erection, making it an option for someone with ED.
The depth-controlled function is also a fun option. The depth control means that the deeper you insert, the more intense the vibrations.
Stimulations
Overall, he found that the toy provided excellent all-around stimulation for his penis. As with most toys, he would have loved for the texture of the internal portion to be softer. However, the price point will prove difficult for people looking for an affordable device. Other than that, it was an incredible all-around experience!
In addition, the squeeze grip on the back that allows you to add more sensations was a nice feature and is a way to make the toy work for a broader spectrum of genital sizes, which is a tricky thing to do in the sex toy market. Just be aware that sometimes the toy gets a bit louder if you use this feature.

Lovense Calor vs. Max 2 vs. Gush
The Calor, Max 2, and Gush are all strokers made by Lovense, and each is a sex toy with a wide range of features and access to the Lovense app to add pleasure to your solo play.
The Lovense Gush is a gorgeous device that’s adjustable to fit people with all sizes of penises. It’s a powerful device much simpler than the Calor or the Max 2. The Gush has vibrations and a band for a tight fit, but it lacks the heating sensation that the Calor offers and the internal sensors that increase stimulation the deeper you penetrate the device. The Gush costs $119, so it’s somewhat cheaper than its cousin.
Next up is the Lovense Max! The Max 2 is another non-realistic male masturbation aid. It’s discreet and powered by two air pump motors that add vibration to the mix. The Max 2 offers 360-degree contractions plus internal ribbing to give you incredible sensation. One major drawback to the Max 2 is the Max 2’s internal sleeve is made from TPE, a porous substance that is difficult to sterilize and will attract dust and hair. You can buy a Max for $99, making it a reasonably affordable choice with many features.
Arcwave Voy
The Arcwave Voy is much less high-tech than the Calor—the Voy doesn’t even come with a battery or charger. But the low-tech stroker is an excellent buy for anyone looking for an easy-to-clean toy that fits most sizes and will amp up their masturbation sessions. You can grab an Arcwave Voy for $99.
Jimmyjane Arvos
The Jimmyjane Arvos is a lot like the Calor sex toy since they are both heated, vibrating penis strokers that offer a wide range of features. Both are slightly on the loud side, but the Arvos will be tougher to clean since the ends aren’t removable. Also, the Arvos is splashproof rather than waterproof, but it only costs $150.
Blowmotion
Blowmotion is probably the closest competitor to Calor. It’s a new masturbator that uses a heating element to simulate a warm mouth wrapped around your manhood. Please note that Blowmotion is a head masturbator, focusing solely on the penis tip.
In addition, it has three speeds and six patterns to give you a variety of sensations on your most sensitive sweet spot. You can read our complete Blowmotion warming masturbator review here.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What Is Lovense Calor?
The Lovense Calor is a male masturbator that’s like your hand but way better. You can squeeze it for intense stroking, but it adds vibration, heating sensations, and depth control.
Who Makes the Lovense Calor?
A company called Lovense makes the Calor. You can find our extensive review of all Lovense toys here.
Is Lovense Calor Waterproof?
Yes, the Calor is completely waterproof, so plan to bring this toy on your splashiest dates.
How Do I Charge Lovense Calor?
The sex toy comes with a magnetic charger. To charge it, you’ll need to align the charger with the port on the toy.
Is Lovense Calor Quiet?
The Calor is reasonably quiet but far from whisper quiet. You’ll want some privacy to comfortably and discreetly use this sex toy.
How To Clean Lovense Calor?
Before getting started, remove the caps on either end of the toy and clean it with mild soap and warm water or a sex toy cleaner. This toy has a lot of ridges and grooves, so it will be slightly more challenging to clean than some sex toys. But compared to other male masturbators, it’s not too bad since the caps come off and give you easy access to each end of the toy.
