How Do I Use the Womanizer Naomi Watanabe?
Unbox the Watanabe and put the box in the recycling with your other paper products. Next, charge it. The website estimated it would take an hour to charge and then last two hours after a full charge. When I tested the battery, it lasted an hour and eleven minutes on the first setting and then took over an hour and a half to recharge. That’s not an amazing battery life, especially for a toy that’s not over-the-top powerful, like this one.
Once it’s fully charged, wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap. Grab some water-based lubricant and place it around the nozzle and your clitoris. Place the nozzle around your clitoris and hold the plus button down to turn it on. Subsequent brief presses of the plus button will bring you up through eight intensity levels. The minus button will cycle you down through the intensity levels and turn the toy off if held down.
When you’re finished, wash it and store it with the travel case placed on top. No need for a storage bag!

My Personal Experience
If you live in Japan, you are likely quite familiar with Watanabe’s work, though she is developing a more global following. She has transformed how bodies are talked about in a country that fetishizes thinness, and now she is here to do the same with pleasure. When you hear the name Naomi Watanabe, her iconic pigtails, sense of humor, or style may come to mind. But after trying the Liberty 2 special edition, pleasure is what will come to mind when I think of her. I will think of her subtle brashness and bravery and let this sex toy sit out for all to see. She’s ambitious. She’s genuine. She’s accessible. Just like your orgasm with this delightful little device.
I had tried and loved the Womanizer Liberty 2 in the past, so I had high hopes of this aesthetic remake. The stimulations were gentle and not overstimulating. The noise level was unobtrusive. And the size was small enough that I could use this little sucker during penetration with my partner. So, the Womanizer Naomi Watanabe checked all my boxes! And it was not meaningfully different from the Liberty 2 except for the design. Even the dimensions were the same.
And yes, the battery life was a little disappointing, but it did not prove to be a deal-breaker for me. Clit suckers are, by design, fast orgasm producers. In my experience, the orgasms come fast and frequently, one right after another. If anything doesn’t need a lengthy battery life, it’s one of these. I was able to have several orgasms on one charge, thanks to my preference for light stimulation. If you need strong stimulations and want to edge, the Watanabe may not work for you. But I loved it.
Packaging
Womanizer has redesigned their packaging to be more eco-friendly. And yet, somehow, it’s still as cute as ever. Cute and eco-friendly are my two favorite descriptors for packaging, so I was thrilled to unwrap this package.
It’s almost a shame this comes with a travel case because the box is so cute that I will be saving mine, which is saying a lot, since I have a whole closet full of toys and limited space. The back lists the benefits of self-pleasure, which I won’t go into here because I’m already sold on masturbation as a hobby. #IMasturbate.
Design
The design is ultra kawaii, which is to say, adorable. The website describes the color as metal pink, but to me it looks more like a dusty rose, a greyish pink. It’s lovely, but it’s not metallic, and I think the description is a little misleading. Inside is a deeper red, and the combination is cute AF.
There are deep grooves in the buttons, but nothing that a toothbrush can’t handle during a deep cleaning. And the nozzle is smooth silicone, wide enough to comfortably accommodate many different sizes of clitorises.
Material
The material is a modern combination of ABS plastic and silicone. It feels like it might be easy to scratch, but so far mine remains in tip-top shape. The plastic is on the case and the handle of the clit sucker, and the silicone is around the nozzle, which needs to be silky to be comfortable. Everything felt great during masturbation, and it was a surprisingly luxurious experience.
Stimulations
The stimulation starts pleasantly low, so that it feels like a vibrational air pulse. As you ramp up the eight intensity levels, the Pleasure Air Technology feels more like mechanical suction. There is a generous array of stimulations that will work well for a wide range of clit-havers.
The only thing I didn’t love about the stimulations is how quickly they drain the battery. If you use the strongest setting, you had better be able to orgasm in a hurry!
Sound Level
The sound level is unobtrusive. When I tested the battery and had it enclosed in the travel case in my pocket, I had to hold it in my hands to feel if it was on. When I tested the decibel levels, they ranged from 46 to 58. Once in place, they will be even quieter, especially at lower intensity levels.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality is sturdy yet lightweight, and the dimensions are ideal for travel (You can see how the form factor compares to some of my other clit suckers in the image below). The short handle can make it more difficult to hang onto if you get lube all over, so try to only use lube on the nozzle and your clit.
Ease of Use
The two-button interface, waterproof materials, and built-in magnetic travel case make this a foolproof product. I was able to use it without reading the instruction manual, and most sex toy veterans will be able to do the same. Long-term maintenance is low, and cleaning is a cinch. Every precaution was taken to ensure that this was a straightforward device.
Versatility
This isn’t the most versatile thing you can buy for $100; not even close. But what it does, it does to perfection. The features that add to its versatility are the waterproof materials, which allow you to take it anywhere, and the small size, which makes it convenient to use during solo play or partnered sex.

The Liberty 2 is much the same as the Womanizer Naomi Watanabe, yet its mono-color theming is slightly more elegant. Everything else was nearly the same. They both come with a carrying case and a USB charging cable and offer eight intensity levels. They both heat up ever so slightly after about half an hour of use, and neither battery’s life was as good as I had hoped for. Deciding which clit sucker is best for you comes down entirely to aesthetics, except that the Watanabe costs $10 less than the Liberty 2 at the time of writing.

Womanizer Peach
The Womanizer Peach is one of the best clit suckers in the game. It has it all: an affordable price tag, a delightful design, and quality to back it all up.
