Everything from the compact, ergonomic design to the impressive Smart Silence design and multiple suction settings was better than the competition. In addition, Next has Pleasure Air technology, a touch-free sensation type that amplifies solo and couple play.

Why You Should Trust Us

Rachel SommerRachel Sommer, Ph.D., is an experienced sexologist with a praiseworthy rap sheet. At the top of her daily motivators is successfully matching a reader to the sex toy of their dreams – a process that might take a little exploratory confidence, but one she understands too well.

This article took about 35 research hours, with the research’s scope based on in-house testing and customer feedback. With loads of sexologist practice experience, she thinks these are this year’s best clit sucking vibrators.

How We Picked the Products

I assembled a test team of highly-regarded sex experts for this article (Yours truly, Sandra Larson, and Angela Kempf), evaluating dozens of clit suckers, each unique in its own right. Besides preselecting the air-suction sex toys, I defined several test criteria that we could measure on a scale from 0 to 100. These included the following:

  • Design. The design was an important starting point. After ensuring the material and build quality were top-notched, the size and shape had to align with the goal – clitoral suction. We only picked models with standout build tweaks that made precisive stimulation straightforward. We also considered the mouth design, providing wide and narrow-mouthed options for people after broader and targeted sensations, respectively.
  • Versatility. No one hates a device that can do more than advertised so we also included products that double as G-spot stimulators. While it might mean a higher price, the convenience outweighs the extra cost.
  • Settings. I advised the team to prioritize clit sex toys with the most settings. Besides being ideal for a broad spectrum of users, more settings make a device more customizable, ultimately rendering it more exciting to use.
  • Stimulations. Besides prioritizing models with more settings, the team also looked into aspects like suction strength and consistency to ensure we make tailor-made recommendations.
  • Special Features. Clit suckers utilize suction power to stimulate the clitoral hood instead of torque-based vibrations. For this reason, features like AutoPilot and SmartSilence come in handy. My colleagues and I were looking for clit toys with standout features designed to elevate your experience.
  • Ease Of Use. Ease of use was another factor we recommended the testing panel concentrate on. We prioritized models with well-positioned, punchy buttons and plush outer skin that felt great on the hands and made handling easier.
  • Sound Level. Notably, clitoral suction toys are quieter than traditional vibrators. Of course, factors like the sex toy size and motor power determine how loud it is, but we measured the noise to present you with the most accurate information and make your shopping experience straightforward.
  • Charging & Battery Life. Though it wasn’t a deal-breaker, we prioritized models with a magnetic charging cable because they improve the user experience. In addition, we paid attention to models with the optimal battery life to charging time ratio.
  • Price & Value. The cost was another factor we considered when picking our review samples. We included different air-suction sex toys to provide a wide range of options for budget-seekers and high-spenders.
  • Standout Features. Away from the standard waterproof design that lets you wild out in the shower or bath, we included clit suckers with bells and whistles like a dedicated mobile app and remote-control compatibility.

During testing, we rated each test criterion on a percentage scale from 0% (Worst) to 100% (Best). We then calculated the overall score using different weighted metrics depending on the importance of the test criteria. Half the total rating comes from Stimulations (25%) and Design (25%). After that comes Ease Of Use (10%), Price & Value (10%), and Special Features (10%).

Once the team returned with the findings, I enlisted Sandra and Tim Larson’s help to analyze and compare the individual reports. We divided the top picks into like-minded groups before using reviews from sex toy vendor sites and review forums to select the top performers in each category. And after a tedious 26-hour shift, we believe these are this year’s most effective clit suckers!

1. Womanizer Next: Our Overall Test Winner!

Womanizer Next

Why we love Womanizer Next:

Having reviewed dozens of clitoral suckers, Womanizer Next outclassed all its peers. Unlike our previous test winner, the Womanizer Premium 2, the sensations felt more like oral sex and not the often-thuddy suction waves. The gentle air whiffs glide over the clitoral hood for a blend of realistic oral stimulation. “The light suction made Next ideal for people with sensitive skin,” our lead product tester Sandra Larson wrote in her test report. “Unlike the thud-like waves, the light suction taps felt great”, Sandra added.

Besides the realistic oral sex stimulation, the other area the Womanizer Next performed better than other clitoral suckers was the claims to be noiseless. The testers were eager to test whether the model lived up to the claim and we’re happy to report the numbers were phenomenal. The product’s sound level was so low you’d think it wasn’t on. “I had to put my finger on the nozzle to confirm it was running,” says Sandra Larson. “Even at the higher settings, the tiny whirring noise was very low, and the Next is certainly the quietest model I’ve ever used.” You can see me testing the sound level using a decibel meter in the image below.

Me testing the sound level using a decibel meter

Let’s talk about the design next. The Womanizer Next’s design underlined the high degrees of thought and attention to detail. The slight arch and an easy-to-grip handle significantly enhanced the masturbation experience.

My colleagues also thought the Afterglow feature made the product stand out from the competing brands. The intensity gradually reduced as the user reached orgasm, reducing the chance for overstimulation. In addition, we loved the Autopilot mode that brought in the sense of surprise, letting the toy throw in a mix of different sensations so the experience didn’t feel monotonous.

Womanizer Next with the two suction mouths

The Smart Silence mode means Next shuts off when not in contact with the skin. Besides saving the battery, it made Next ideal for people masturbating in secret because it would shut off at a moment’s notice. However, some testers didn’t like it because it felt like starting again whenever you repositioned the toy and it turned off.

Another thing that stood out was the impressive build quality. The body was made from body-safe silicone with a velvety finish, making it ideal for people with sensitive skin. “It felt great on the clitoris and other erogenous zones I tried it on,” Rachel Sommer commented. The designers married the silicone and ABS strip perfectly, leaving minimal seams that would otherwise make cleaning problematic.

The device charging

As stressed before, the sensations felt more like oral sex, and unlike other suction toys we reviewed, there was a great flow of settings from the lowest to the highest. “The suction waves can be overstimulating for people with sensitive skin, and using them in water helps dullen the intensity,” Rachel Sommer reported. “Womanizer Next was different: the lower settings were gentle, and with the incredible variety of 14 patterns, beginners and power-hungry users will enjoy the experience.”

A Good Alternative:

Womanizer Premium 2 (review here) is a decent alternative if you want something more ‘thuddy’ and less gentle on the lower settings. The multiple settings and exciting functions like the smart silence and Autopilot made the product perfect for the curious, experienced masturbator. You can see the two devices side-by-side in the image below. Next on the left and Premium 2 on the right.

Next and Premium 2 side by side

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, Next didn’t have a remote control or dedicated mobile application, which was a bummer for a $199 sex toy. If app control is a deal breaker, we recommend going for the Lovense Tenera.

Some reviewers highlighted the high price, calling it one of the most expensive they tested. If you’re on a budget, we recommend the more affordable option, the Womanizer Pro 40.

Lastly, the comparatively expensive sex toy didn’t have a travel lock mode, a fundamental feature for vacationers and other frequent travelers. “It should be an easy-to-integrate feature, considering the complexity of the clitoral sucker.”

Why Womanizer is the best clit sucker:

  • Stimulations: As mentioned before, Womanizer Next’s sensations outdid its peers. The swift waves mimicked oral sex and were more gentle than the thuddy suction standard with other clit suckers like the Womanizer Premium 2. Notably, the noiseless motor was more powerful than anticipated and the 14 intensity levels provided a wide range of fun motions to explore.
  • Special Features: Unlike most of the other models we tested, the Womanizer Next had multiple bells and whistles that made the experience blissful. The autopilot mode surprises you with a series of suction waves varying in depth and intensity for a more enjoyable experience. In addition, the Afterglow dullens the intensity when you’re about to orgasm to avoid overstimulation. Lastly, the Smart Silence function ensures the toy is only turned on when in contact with the skin, thus increasing the battery life and enhancing discretion.
  • Build Quality: The choice of materials and quality of craftsmanship was top-notch. The silky silicone material felt cozy, and the ABS strip added a contrasting look to the design while enhancing its durability. In addition, the well-thought-out angles improved the user experience and further underlined the impressive attention to detail.

2. Womanizer Pro40: Our Budget Pick!

Womanizer Pro40

Why we love Womanizer Pro40:

Are you on a budget? Then you will be happy that next we have the most affordable of the Womanizer toys! The Pro40 costs a little over $100, which gave us the best balance between price tag and quality on this list.

Like Premium 2 above, the Pro40 has Pleasure Air technology, an innovative design that powers contactless clitoral stimulation. Besides permeating the clitoris past the hood, this form of stimulation is ideal for people with an extra sensitive clitoris.

The toy charging

It does fall a bit short on the settings. “Pro40 has 6 different levels of pleasure. While it’s less than many other models on this list, I believe it’s good enough for the majority of customers”, Rachel Sommer wrote in the test report. “I also want to point out that the 3-button control pad (image above) is fairly easy to use, with the raised buttons making it easy to regulate the intensity without having to visually sight them”, Rachel continued.

Unfortunately, the Pro40 comes with only one single silicone head (image below), and you’ll have to buy another one if the stock option doesn’t fit you. If you are concerned whether it will fit or not, go for Premium 2 instead.

Pro40 with the removable head removed

Another standout feature during our review was the well-made silicone and ABS plastic build. Pro40 has an outstanding balance, with the silicone cup hugging the clitoris warmly.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Striking a balance with the Womanizer Pro40 was challenging. The lowest setting felt slightly awkward, and I had to adjust the position severally. On the other hand, the higher settings are insanely intense, and I had to ditch it soon after the review for a more orgasm-progressive vibrator. Everything happens too quickly for my liking.

Something else that irked me was the single silicone head that doesn’t accommodate people with a differently-sized clitoris. Womanizer sells tips for $12.90 on their website, which is an extra cost.

Why Womanizer Pro40 is our budget pick:

If you’re looking for a budget clit sucker, we highly recommend this baby. The $75 Pro40 has 6 intensity levels, Pleasure Air tech, and an easy-to-use control pad. Let’s have a closer look at the test report:

  • Price & Value: Away from the lowest price guarantee in this article, Womanizer Pro40 gave us better value for our money than the products we reviewed. It costs $74 – $99 depending on whether it’s on discount, a largely favorable price for the quality.
  • Ease Of Use: The testers loved the large silicone body and easy-to-reach buttons. “It made using the Pro40 easy as the toy feels great on the hands, and the slightly raised buttons are responsive,” our tester Sandra Larson reported.
  • Charging & Battery Life: Womanizer Pro40 had the longest battery life among the clitoral suckers we tested. While it takes about 2 hours to charge and 3 for the initial charge, the 4 hours of playtime is unmatched (Average rating: 95%).

If you want to see what Womanizer Pro40 looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full review of the Pro40 here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone, ABS
  • Length: 6.5″

Pros:

  • The most wallet-friendly model on this list.
  • Impressive 6 intensity levels.
  • The Pleasure Air technology promotes contactless yet powerful sensations.
  • It’s USB-rechargeable.
  • Pro40 is waterproof and aquatic play ready.

Cons:

  • It comes with a single silicone head.

3. Satisfyer Pro 2: Beginner-Friendly!

A wet Satisfyer Pro 2 in the bathroom

Why we love Satisfyer Pro 2:

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is an ideal beginner model for several reasons. It’s an upgrade of the original Satisfyer, with notable improvements like a rechargeable battery, a wider silicone nozzle, a quieter motor, and a whopping 11 air-suction and pulsation levels.

The silicone head directs the air puffs to the clitoris, which we thought gave a slightly different sensation than the Womanizer’s. “It feels like your partner pleases you orally while blowing cool air whiffs over the clitoris”, Rachel Sommer commented.

The controls of the Pro2

But what made us grade it as the “Most Beginner-Friendly” was the easy-to-use control pad with a power button, and plus and minus toggles to regulate the intensity (image above). Everyone agreed that the design was beginner-friendly, with an ergonomic body to simplify handling.

Minor issues we found during testing:

While the Satisfyer Pro 2 is described by many as the next big thing because of the oral sex mimicking abilities, I found the available selection of oral sex settings limited. There are only two – blowing and sucking. Don’t get me wrong; it’s an excellent choice for newbies, but not the most realistic oral sex simulator.

Pro 2 is relatively quiet at low settings. However, you must position it correctly to enjoy similar discretion benefits on high settings. You must get good at picking the perfect position quickly if you want your new Satisfyer Pro 2 affair to remain a secret.

Why Satisfyer Pro 2 is the most beginner-friendly model:

Our testers thought the touch-free air pulse technology coupled with the ergonomic handle design made the Satisfyer Pro ideal for beginners. The multiple pleasure settings allow you to explore your limits regardless of your experience. It also performed well with the following test criteria:

  • Ease Of Use: Satisfyer Pro 2 has a compact body that’s easy to grasp with your hands, even if you have the smallest of palms. In addition, the intuitive user interface includes a small on/off power button and another oval-shaped button to cycle through the eleven settings.
  • Price & Value: Pro 2 was among the most affordable sex toys we reviewed for this article. The pricing ticked the beginner-friendly box, especially with the ergonomic design and intuitive interface. Only Pro40 above gave us a better value.

If you want to see what Pro 2 looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our review of the Satisfyer Pro 2 here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone, ABS
  • Length: 4.5″
  • Width: 1.5″

Pros:

  • A well-made, beginner-friendly model.
  • Impressive 11 pulsation and air-suction levels.
  • Air pulse technology promotes gentler and deeper sensations.
  • The scoop-shaped tip targets the clitoris.
  • Easy-to-use control pad.
  • Ideal first clit suction toy.

Cons:

  • The wide silicone head might be too big for some people.

4. Womanizer Duo 2: For Dual Stimulation!

Womanizer Duo 2

Why we love Womanizer Duo 2:

If you’re someone that loves the good old-fashioned rabbit you should pay attention to our next entry: Womanizer Duo 2, a rabbit-style model featuring a clit sucking head. The testers thought it stood out from the other dual models because of the strong motors, the good variety of settings, and the independent control. More on that below.

Besides the dual motor design, we appreciated the stimulation variance. “The inner arm vibrates to target the G-spot while the outer mouth cups the clitoris dispensing cool air whiffs”, our tester Angela Kempf commented. “With a tapered head and curved shaft, I found it easy to target the G-spot while simultaneously stimulating the clitoris”, she added. In the image below, you can see the design with its two arms.

Womanizer Duo 2 with the two suction heads

The stimulation variance makes it our preferred option for those after a dual orgasm. While the ‘mechanical’ vibrations rumble on the G-spot, the airwaves circle the clitoral hood for a gentle yet practical experience.

Something else that stood out was the extensive range of pleasure settings. The 14 intensity levels and 10 suction modes make it easy to customize the intensity to match your experience and mood. While the six buttons took some mastering (circled in the image below), my colleagues found it easy to regulate the air-suction and vibrations once they knew what each button did.

Closeup of the control buttons on Womanizer Duo 2

Duo 2 garnered more points for its versatility. You can switch between clitoral vibrations and air-suction waves by using the inner arm externally in between uses. The possibility was positive, especially for people who prefer vibrations on their clit or a mix of rumbles and section waves.

The test team also lauded the waterproofness. “Besides opening up new possibilities, the waterproof device is perfect for people with a sensitive clitoris. The water dampens the sensations, making them ‘more palatable,” our tester Rachel Sommer said.

Womanizer Duo 2 with the silicone head detached

The new Pleasure Air and Smart Silence technologies make it even more exciting. The former promotes contactless stimulation, while the latter ensures Duo 2 only comes to life when it’s in direct contact with the skin, thus saving battery life and enhancing discreetness.

And let’s not forget the Afterglow feature that differentiates it from the original Womanizer Duo. The intelligent feature lets you scale down the air-suction waves to the third level when you’re about to finish, so the clit doesn’t get sore. You only need to press a button once to transition to the Afterglow. Great design, Womanizer!

The device charging

Lastly, the Womanizer Duo has two silicone heads. The differently-sized tips make it easy for multiple users to make the most of the air-suction waves, considering the clit size and shape vary from one person to another. Our testers found the smaller head perfect for pinpoint sensations and the other ideal for broader clit stimulation.

Pro Tip: If you want a rabbit model but don’t have the budget for Duo2, the InsideOut is a decent alternative (image below). While it might not be the most discreet model (in comparison to Duo 2), it costs $97 – $129, a massive bargain for such a well-made clit sucking toy.

Womanizer InsideOut

Minor issues we found during testing:

The control interface takes some getting used to. Understanding what each of the six buttons does takes time, especially when using the toy in positions that give you a limited view of the control pad. A remote control or dedicated smartphone app would’ve been better.

In addition, the sex toy involves lots of hand movements, and people with mobility issues will find it challenging to use for extended sessions.

Why Womanizer Duo 2 is the highest-rated rabbit clit sucker:

If you’re looking for a versatile clitoral and vaginal stimulator, we recommend Duo 2. Everything from the multiple intensity levels and vibration modes to the tapered tip, curved shaft, and individual function controls stood out from the competition. It even has SmartSilence tech, meaning Duo 2 only fires up when in contact with the skin. Below are some more highlights from the test reports:

  • Stimulations: Womanizer Duo 2’s dual stimulation stood out (Average score: 94%). The reviewers applauded the versatility of stimulating the G-spot and clitoris simultaneously. With multiple vibration and air-suction settings for the internal and external arm and independent motor control, Duo 2 should be in your shopping cart today!
  • Special Features: It has impressive features like the Smart Silence technology that ensures it only fires up when in contact with the skin. Besides extending the battery life, Smart Silence makes Womanizer Duo 2 discreet. Afterglow was another impressive technology that automatically scales the air-suction waves down when you’re about to orgasm to avoid overstimulation.

If you want to see what Womanizer Duo 2 looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

  • The ergonomic design improves the user experience.
  • Differently-sized silicone heads.

Cons:

  • The Smart Silence technology can be glitchy.

5. Lovehoney Rose Toy: Rose-Shaped Model

Lovehoney Rose toy

Why we love the Lovehoney Rose Toy:

Do you prefer your clitoral sex toy to look rosy? Here’s the most recommended rose clitoral sucker! For starters, it’s made from soft and flexible silicone material – the ideal sex toy material so far. The rose petal design gives it an alluring look while making it easy to handle, even for those without experience.

Let’s start with a closer look at the motor. “It features 10 different settings, giving you a wide range of possibilities to explore. The control pad only has two buttons (image below), further simplifying your handling experience”, Rachel Sommer wrote in her test report.

Closeup of the two control buttons

Our testers especially appreciated the small cup at the top. It locks onto the clitoris hood, so the air-suction pressure doesn’t get lost when pressing it against the skin. Other manufacturers take notes!

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, Lovehoney Rose Toy is quite subtle and experienced clitoral stimulation fans might have to look elsewhere. The suction pressure works perfectly for people looking for sensual and deep-lying sensations, but those after more intense sensations will find it not powerful enough.

In addition, the rose sex toy is not ideal for couples. The air pleasure technology is ideally suited for solo play because of the attentiveness needed to hit the right spots. Unlike a regular vibrator moving it around won’t cut it.

Why Lovehoney Rose Toy is our preferred rose clitoral sucker:

  • Stimulations: The Lovehoney Rose toy provides an outstanding balance between visual appeal and clit suction. The alluring toy features a silicone cup on top to trap the suction against the clitoris which we thought was implemented better than the other rose models we tested (Average rating: 94%).
  • Design: The toy was designed with functionality in mind. Everything from the discreet rose toy to the compact size and travel lock feature stood out among the reviewed models. It’s also the most beautiful product on this list. The Lovehoney designers should get a lot of credit for creating such an adorable toy.
  • Ease Of Use: The 2-button control interface made navigating through Lovehoney Rose Toy’s multiple suction settings easy. Combining the small size and intuitive interface significantly improved the user experience.

If you want to see what the Lovehoney Rose Toy looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can find our review of the rose clitoral sucker here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone
  • Length: 3″
  • Circumference: 7″

Pros:

  • Good-looking rose clit sucking toy.
  • Remarkable 10 suction settings.
  • It’s made from medical-grade material.
  • Intuitive 2-button control pad.
  • Relatively affordable – $49.99.

Cons:

  • The nooks and crannies are hard to clean.

6. Lelo Sona 2 Cruise: For Rumbly Vibrations!

Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

Do you want your vibrations to be more rumbly than buzzy? Then Lelo Sona 2 Cruise will be your knight in shining armor. Not only that but unlike most clitoral toys, it has a compact and travel-friendly design that we think most people will love. It’s also made from ultra-soft silicone making it body-safe. During our testing, we found that the soft silicone absorbed the sonic waves well and transmitted them back to the clitoris for gentler but deeper sensations. Just wow!

Unlike a regular clit vibrator, Lelo Sona 2 Cruise uses sonic sound waves, leading to gentler clitoral stimulation. With a whopping 12 pleasure settings to choose from, you can go as hard as your clitoris can take. As I demonstrate in the bowl of water below, Sona 2 Cruise is also waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or bathtub.

Using the sex toy in a bowl of water

Another highlight of the review was the cruise control technology that ensures the Sona 2 Cruise doesn’t die when pressed against the skin. Instead, it increases the intensity, cultivating an environment of consistent and controlled rumbles.

Minor issues we found during testing:

My main concern was the significantly tiny mouth that makes LELO Sona 2 Cruise unideal for people with bigger clitorises and those who enjoy broader stimulation.

The buttons were also a bit finicky. Often when I turned on the air-suction sex toy, it was in a different setting. And even when I turned it off at a specific level, it would start in a different setting.

Why LELO Sona 2 Cruise is the most effective for rumbly vibrations:

If you’re looking for a rumbly clit suction toy, you can’t go wrong with Lelo Sona 2 Cruise. It has a compact, ergonomic design, impressive cruise control technology, and gentle sonic waves for the clitoris nerve endings.

  • Stimulations: It has one of the most diverse selections of suction pleasure settings (93% average score). The 12 pleasure modes make it ideal for multiple users, as customizing the pleasure to your liking is much easier.
  • Available Features: Cruise control technology was a standout feature when we tested the LELO Sona 2 Cruise. The intelligent feature responds to pressure by increasing the intensity whenever you apply power – not dampening the intensity like most air-suction sex toys.

If you want to see what LELO Sona 2 Cruise looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

Detailed Sona 2 Cruise review here.

  • Gorgeous and compact design.
  • Impressive sensonic tech.

7. LELO Sila Cruise: For Broader Stimulations!

LELO SILA Cruise

Why we love LELO Sila Cruise:

Let’s move on to another product from LELO called Sila Cruise. What makes this product unique is the wider mouth which some women prefer over a smaller one. Compared with Sona 2 Cruise, we found it much easier to target wider zones on the clitoris for widespread sensations. The silicone nozzle covers a larger area of the clit, significantly limiting your hand movements and enhancing efficiency. The wider mouth also makes it suitable for stimulations of larger skin areas, like nipples or even the perineum. You can see me comparing the mouth on Sila Cruise and Sona 2 Cruise below.

Sila Cruise is an upgrade from the original Sila. Unlike its predecessor, LELO Sila 2 Cruise has cruise control technology which is a must-have IMHO. The function saves up to 20% battery life and ensures it unleashes its wrath when pressed against the clit. We’ve used numerous clitoral sex toys, and they often lose power during the climax. Not so with little Sila Cruise!

Me comparing the mouth sizes

Something else that caught our eye was the unique design with slanting edges. “The incline on both sides of the mouth improved the suction pressure by bridging the gap to discourage suction loss”, Sandra Larson clarified.

LELO Sila Cruise’s motor packed a punch and delivered an excellent range of pleasure settings to explore. The available eight modes let you customize the experience. You call the shots whether you fancy gentle murmurs or intense suction waves.

LELO SILA Cruise

The suction toy’s all-silicone body was a great touch from the designers. Besides making the clit sensations gentler, even for people with a sensitive clitoris, handling was much more manageable. Unlike ABS plastic and other stiff materials, silicone’s grip felt incredible.

Lastly, the team appreciated the slow build-up with LELO Sila Cruise. “I’ve used dozens of clit suction toys, and most tend to jump from low to high within a few settings. However, Sila Cruise has a trackable pattern, and you can feel it moving from the first mode to the last. I found the trackability perfect for people like me who enjoy slow and sensual stimulation from time to time”, Rachel Sommer commented.

The device charging

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, Sila Cruise might not be whisper-quiet, depending on your environment. And especially past the fifth suction mode, it becomes indiscreet.

LELO Sila Cruise is also expensive, and those on a budget might have to look elsewhere, for example, Womanizer Pro40.

Why LELO Sila Cruise is the most effective for broader stimulations:

If you’re looking for a rumbly clit suction toy with a wider mouth for broader stimulations, Sila Cruise should be on your radar. It has multiple vibration patterns, a reasonably easy-to-use control pad, and gentle sonic waves that most people will find exciting.

  • Design: LELO Sila Cruise has a compact snail shell design that’s easy to handle (94% average score). The test panel commended the wider silicone mouth and slanting edges that made it more efficient in delivering the suction waves over the clit.
  • Stimulations: The wide-mouth design also makes Sila Cruise versatile because different users can explore external stimulation, regardless of the clitoris size and shape. It also had the most rumbly vibrations of the models we tested, ensuring they travel deeper down in the tissues.
  • Special Features: The cruise control function was a standout feature during the review. Sila Cruise responds to being pressed against the clitoris with rejuvenated power to ensure you finish on a high note.

8. Lelo Enigma Wave: Our Luxury Pick!

LELO ENIGMA Wave

Why we love LELO Enigma Wave:

LELO Enigma Wave’s outstanding design language and immaculate shape make it our premium model in this roundup review! The clit sucker provides passionate air pulses in a laid-back yet effective pattern that makes it easy to reach orgasm.

Whether you want to reward yourself with a luxurious clit suction and G-spot stroking sex toy or gift a loved one with a masterpiece that provides the ultimate masturbation experience, LELO Enigma Wave will do! Just look at how adorable the packaging looks in the below image:

The packaging

The 2nd generation clit suction toy has significant upgrades from the original Enigma. Notably, it comes with WaveMotion technology that mimics fingering and a much better battery life. So, even though they look almost similar, the upgrade offers better value for money.

Something that stood out during the review was the accuracy with which Enigma Cruise churned out blended internal and external stimulation. As you can see in the image below, the well-thought-out design has an aesthetic shape that stands out from the competitors.

LELO ENIGMA Wave charging

Contrary to popular belief, clitoral suction waves are intense and use a ‘silent killer’ approach to get you over the edge. Of course, most people love the traditional vibrations, but the blissful yet potent sensations of suction technology are something everyone should experience in their lifetime.

Most on the team agreed they liked the suction better. “While they’re not the most ideal for edging, I enjoy the reliable and shockingly intense pleasure. LELO even added a setting that automatically shuts down Enigma Cruise after 20 minutes to prevent overstimulation”, Sandra Larson added. In the image below, I compared the first and second versions side-by-side.

Lelo Enigma and Lelo Enigma Wave

Note: Some toys shut down after ten minutes, which can be frustratingly short. However, Enigma Wave’s 20-minute window and the intense suction waves mean you have plenty of time to achieve clitoral orgasms. The testers also liked the stroking shaft inside, mimicking fingering, making the experience even more intense.

The vibrations were slightly on the buzzy side, which can be problematic for people who prefer rumbly ones. However, that didn’t bother me. I thought the WaveMotion was strong, and the suction had an excellent strength range. The well-measured waves start slow and gradually shift into intense sensonic air pulses.

The content of the box

Note: Unfortunately, you can’t control the motors independently. So, if you prefer one sensation more intense than the other, you won’t be able to get exactly what you want.

Something else that stood out was build quality. Blending ABS plastic and silicone makes for a pretty outlook. Everything feels solidly built, and you won’t have to worry about washing or bringing it in the tub. In addition, the dimensions are well-thought, emphasizing providing a dual-stimulation toy for people who enjoy a feeling of fullness.

Closeup of the control buttons

Lastly, the versatile Enigma Wave is easy to use. The three-button control pad (circled in the above image) lets you cycle through the vibrations, suction, and WaveMotion rhythms. While dedicated control for each motor could’ve improved the experience, the user interface is easily comprehended, especially because one button does everything.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, you can’t control the motors independently, meaning it’s impossible to tweak the vibration, suction, and WaveMotion rhythm intensity for the ultimate customization. You must enjoy all the sensations simultaneously, which can be a bummer for some people.

Having one button do all the work can be labor-intensive. Every time you go past a favorite setting, it means starting from scratch, and it can be a minute or two until you get back. And even if you can remember the buttons to push and how to do it quickly, the delay messes with the flow.

Why LELO Enigma Wave is our luxury & premium pick:

  • Design: The design made LELO Enigma Wave a smoke show in this article. It aced every competitor we put forward, and it’s not hard to see why people love the dual-stimulation sex toy. Everything from the aesthetics to the functionality and flexibility makes it the perfect choice for luxury seekers. In addition, the designer added gift-ready packaging to the deal, making the sex toy reliably stunning.
  • Stimulations: Enigma Wave’s sensations were comparatively impressive. It blends G-spot stimulation and clit suction immaculately, so there’s never a bottleneck to your self-pleasuring sessions. The WaveMotion was strong, and the suction had an excellent strength range. In addition, the well-measured waves start slow and gradually shift into intense sensonic air pulses, making for an exciting adventure.
  • Build Quality: LELO Enigma Wave’s build quality was also rated highly by the test crew. The designer blended the ABS plastic and silicone materials seamlessly without leaving ugly-looking seams (something most brands have failed to do). It felt solidly built, and the dimensions were well-thought-out for people who enjoy a feeling of fullness.

9. Lovense Tenera: App-Controlled!

Lovense Tenera

Why we love Lovense Tenera:

Lovense Tenera is our recommendation for people in long-distance relationships, thanks to the wonderful Lovense remote app. Among the sex toy applications we reviewed, the Lovense smartphone app stood out on all metrics. The We-vibe Melt was a close competitor, but Tenera’s responsive and dynamic graphical user interface (GUI) eventually decided the tie.

The Lovense Remote app is overall user-friendly (screenshots below), with all the essential sections in the right places. It adds to the possibilities by providing unlimited customization. And with extra bells and whistles like music sync that lets you sync the waves to your playlist, it handily beats the competition.

Screenshots from the Lovense Remote app

We also loved the sex toy’s vacuum-type suction technology. It mimics being kissed and sucked on the clitoris. In addition, it’s gentler than the traditional vibrations, making it perfect for people with a sensitive clit.

Something else that stood out was the smooth and seamless all-silicone body. Besides being easy to handle, the seam-free body eliminates the potential for bacteria to attach to the walls and significantly simplifies your cleaning and maintenance experience.

Closeup of the control buttons and magnetic charging port.

Lastly, we liked how cozy it felt on the palm. The all-silicone body made it grippy and enjoyable to grasp. In addition, the buttons (image above) were responsive (for when you don’t feel like using the app) and easy to locate.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, Lovense Tenera’s suction feature was a little finicky to adjust. While I eventually landed on the right setting after fiddling with the buttons, I’d have appreciated a seamless experience.

Tenera could also get a bit loud, especially on high settings, which is an issue of concern if you’re after discreet play. Another concern is that it’s not yet available in all regions, so if you can’t buy it, go for We-Vibe Melt instead.

Why Lovense Tenera is the best app-controlled clit sucker:

  • Special Features: Lovense Tenera’s compatibility with the Lovense remote app was the standout feature. Notably, the smartphone application is the most responsive among all other sex toy apps. In addition, it offers extra bells and whistles like unlimited customization and music sync, significantly elevating the quality of sensations.
  • Ease Of Use: Using it was straightforward. It felt great on the palms, and the responsive and easy-to-press buttons made it even more manageable (92% average score).

  • Seamless design simplifies cleaning.

Cons:

  • It can be loud in high settings.
  • 0% internal stimulation.

10. Womanizer Starlet Snow: Most Compact Model!

Womanizer Starlet

Why we love Womanizer Starlet:

The Womanizer Starlet is the perfect clit sucker for anyone looking for a straightforward yet enjoyable experience. Among the models we tested, it had the smallest form factor yet was reasonably easy to use.

“The petite yet potent clit stimulator is another excellent offering from the diverse Womanizer catalog. It looks so tiny I was skeptical it’d deliver anything tangible. Luckily, the renowned brand added a powerful motor with four accelerating intensity levels”, Rachel Sommer wrote in the report.

Womanizer Starlet

We appreciated the lower-intensity suction wave because of the consistently thuddy suction. As stressed before, I enjoy gentle, sensual clitoral stimulation, and this petite lover boy offered it in the purest form.

Womanizer Starlet’s notably gentle waves were perfect for my colleagues with extra-sensitive clitoris. I’d probably go for a more powerful model, but I’d imagine anyone with a sensitive clit, or a beginner will appreciate the welcoming orientation.

Womaniser Starlet without the suction head

As expected, the petite motor was on the quiet end of the spectrum. It was even quieter when I positioned it correctly against the clitoral hood. And even at the highest settings, you don’t have to worry about the noise.

The easy-to-use device has a single button to turn it on and cycle through the available settings (image below). In addition, it’s relatively affordable, $35 – $79, making for the perfect recommendation for beginners looking to get a taste of clit suction without breaking the bank.

Womaniser Starlet Snow

Minor issues we found during testing:

With only four settings, there are massive pleasure jumps. It starts with a slow wave before jumping into two mediums and a high. If you enjoy slow build-up like me, you might have to look elsewhere, like LELO Sila Cruise.

Its small size and ABS material build made it slightly awkward to hold, especially during coupled sex. It got slippery, and I needed a clean towel on my hand to dry my hands in between use.

Why Womanizer Starlet is our preferred small clit sucker:

  • Design: Womanizer Starlet’s petite size means even the smallest hands will hold it comfortably. Notably, its small size also makes it ideal for couples because it fits between bodies easily.
  • Ease Of Use: The single button makes cycling through the four suction waves straightforward.

If you want to see what Womanizer Starlet looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

  • A petite yet powerful suction toy.
  • The compact size renders it a perfect travel buddy.
  • Easy-to-use interface.
  • It’s relatively affordable.
  • An ideal choice for people new to suction toys.

Cons:

  • Not a great battery life to charging time ratio.
  • The settings are far apart.

Other Good Alternatives

We-Vibe MeltWe-Vibe Melt‘s simple yet functional design stands out. The seamless body and flexible head make it easy to target specific points on the clitoris. It’s the perfect alternative to Lovense Tenera. Both share similar design tweaks, but We-Vibe Melt’s powerful motor stands out. It’s also readily available, while Tenera is unavailable in all regions. On the other hand, Lovense Tenera has the best mobile application in the sex toy world – responsive and versatile. You can read our We-Vibe Melt review here.

Womanizer Marilyn Monroe Special EditionWomanizer Marilyn Monroe Edition had the highest-rated design of the models we reviewed. Whether you’re a fan of the American icon or not, you’ll enjoy the sheer elegance and efficiency of the Womanizer bad body. It even has the Afterglow function that lets you enjoy your climax without risking a sore clit. You can read our Womanizer Marilyn Monroe Edition review here.

Womanizer LibertyWomanizer Liberty is our preferred option for travel. The petite clit sucker has outstanding practicality and size balance. Notably, the small motor has a potent reputation, and very few people will walk away wanting more sensations for the size. The included cover shields the button when traveling to avoid accidental buzzing. It also keeps Liberty clean during transit. You can read our Womanizer Liberty review here.

Womanizer Premium EcoWomanizer Premium Eco is the most environmentally-friendly clit sucking toy we found (sadly, there are not many). It’s made from Biolene, a more sustainable material. In addition, this sucker promises a lot of bang for your buck and will last forever when maintained correctly. You can read our Womanizer Premium Eco review here.

Tracy's Dog OG Pro 2Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 is perfect if you want textures on the internal arm. The versatile rabbit vibrator’s inner arm features subtle lines to amplify internal stimulation. I enjoyed the extra fine-tuning, which was more elaborate during the slow settings. And with a flexible neck, tapered head, and clitoris-kissing mouth, I enjoyed every bit of the experience. You can read our Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 review here.

What Is a Clit Sucker?

A clit sucker is a unique sex toy for vulva owners designed to use air and suction pressure to tease and stimulate the clitoris [2]. The suction head cups the clitoral hood, enhancing the sensations’ transfer. Some models also feature touch-free clitoral stimulation technology with air whiffs teasing the clit without making contact.

Lelo Sila and Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

But Why Should I Buy One?

Among the numerous reasons to buy a clitoral sex toy is to enjoy the pleasures of receiving oral sex. And especially for single folks, a clit suction toy allows you to explore top-tier oral sex without worrying about getting a willing partner. For married couples, it’s handy when your partner isn’t around or in the mood for a sloppy toppy.

Some people use clit suction toys to complement vaginal sex. By positioning it over the clitoris during penetrative sex, the toy adds rumbles to the action, allowing for multiple orgasms [1]. And with statistics showing that 8 in 10 people don’t orgasm from penetration alone, why not add one designed to add the extra buzz?

Enigma with the storage bag

In addition, a clit sucker elevates your masturbation experience. Besides adding the much-needed buzz, the little toy’s clit-focused design lets you make the most of the experience. It opens your world to new possibilities, allowing you to explore and try different experiences, like squirting.

Lastly, clitoral suckers are ideal for regular travelers. Away from the compact and travel-friendly design, they have a characteristic buzzy sound that’s quieter than a vibrator.

Note: Its small size and punchy motor allow you to use it on other areas of the body like the thighs, nipples, your partner’s balls, and other erogenous zones.

How To Use a Clit Sucker?

Using a clit sucker can be challenging at first, mainly because you have to try different angles and positions until you find the one you’re most comfortable with. In addition, no two people have identical clits, so you must know how to stimulate yours as you should.

  1. I recommend placing the silicone nozzle directly above your clitoral hood while trying to separate the lips for a more pinpoint impact. You can also try pressing it against the clitoris if the contactless approach is not working.
  2. In addition, try different suction settings and speeds for a more enjoyable experience. And if yours has a remote control, hand it to your partner and let them take you on a ride.
  3. Lastly, try to cover as much area as possible without ruling the labia out—show it some love. Remember, we’re all different, and what works for me might not work for you.
