One of the most significant distinguishing factors between the Next and the rest of the Womanizer models is that this one claims to be noiseless. Did it live up to the claim? Absolutely, more than any other vibrator I’ve ever owned or heard of.
Overall, if you’re a feature creature, this model will keep you the happiest. It does just about everything except take you on a date. Silent, feature-laden pleasure sessions are now available for purchase. The only reason to skip this sucker is if you don’t use features or if you live alone and the suction noise doesn’t bother you.
Who Is This For? If you love clitoral suction toys but have thin walls, nosy roommates or family members, or don’t like the distraction of loud sounds, this will be a cure-all for your masturbation routine. What Is Womanizer Next?
The Womanizer Next is a sex toy that uses air pulses to stimulate the clitoris, touch-free. Many clitoral devices employ the same mechanism to help you reach that elusive O again and again, but what distinguishes the Next is its many high-end features, like Autopilot, Smart Silence, Afterglow, Climax Control, and its upgraded suction mechanism, which they’ve dubbed 3D Pleasure Air. The idea was to take something great—air-pulse-based climaxes—and put them over the top with handy features to help you have multiple orgasms without becoming overstimulated.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The unboxing experience was excellent. Everything is packed neatly and tightly so that your toy will arrive in pristine condition no matter how rough the shipping is. Plus, it comes with about everything you could want, including:
- The gorgeous toy
- A USB charging cable
- A storage bag
- A small and medium-sized nozzle
- A quick start guide
- Compliance and safety information
The only thing that would have put this over the top is a sample packet of lube. But otherwise, Womanizer covered every base! The quick start guide was easy to read and included visuals, making learning the many features of this toy a breeze.
The compliance and safety information (image below) is the denser, legal-ese packet that most people will skip, but not me! It’s my favorite part. The highlights from this little booklet included advice like “cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children” and “do not use anally!” which is sound advice but hopefully comes as a surprise to no one.
The useful bits include tips like removing jewelry before trying the device—it is a suction toy, after all. You also shouldn’t use the toy over a pacemaker and should keep it away from credit cards with magnetic strips, as the product has a magnet inside.

How To Use Womanizer Next?
After unboxing the Womanizer Next, you’ll want to charge and wash it. When it’s fully charged and sanitized, decide which size stimulation head you prefer. They have included a small and a medium, and between the two, you have a good chance of finding a comfortable fit. Grab some lube and put lube on the nozzle as well as your clit. Gently pull your lips apart until you discover a snug position.
Press the bottom button (next to the magnetic charging pins) and hold it down for two seconds to turn on the toy. The LED lights will light up, indicating the toy is on. You can use the plus and minus buttons to increase the intensity by fourteen notches.
If you briefly press the plus and minus buttons, the intensity will increase incrementally. The intensity will smoothly shift if you hold the buttons down, which Womanizer calls ramping up or down. It’s a minor tweak but a nice touch for people who like the changes to feel like a gentle caress rather than a rigid stair-step.
When you hold the minus button down, it decreases the intensity to level one, which is called the Afterglow effect. That means you can press it as you reach orgasm to avoid overstimulation. Smart Silence will automatically be on when you receive your toy. The instructions recommend not touching the stimulation attachment when you turn on the toy because it can mess with the Smart Silence function. So, turn the toy on and then place it on your skin, and the stimulation should start.
If you want to turn off the Smart Silence feature, which turns the toy off whenever it’s not in contact with your skin, press the plus and minus buttons and hold down for two seconds. It’s a somewhat finicky feature, and it seems that Womanizer is still working out the bugs, so much so that the user manual says that if the Smart Silence isn’t working, you should turn the Womanizer off and charge it for a few seconds to reset it.
Another thing to note is that if you are using Smart Silence, it also initiates the standby mode, where the product will turn off automatically if you haven’t pressed a button in half an hour. If you’re not using Smart Silence, standby mode won’t be activated either and the toy will not automatically turn off until the battery is dead.
To turn on Autopilot, which will give the device control and allow for some surprise and nuance in your experience, hold down the button that’s on the same side as the nozzle for two seconds. The placement of this button could be better because you’ll likely have to remove the toy during use to turn this feature on.
Climax Control is available by pushing the middle button by the seam of the toy. There are three depth levels that can be altered to tailor the experience to your personal preference.

My Personal Experience
Out of all the suction toys I’ve ever tried, I was most excited to give the Womanizer Next a spin, and the reason is simple: when I opened it and turned it on, the lowest setting was rather low indeed. Many of the other suction toys have a higher lowest setting, and even feeling that amount of suction made my clit nervous. I typically need to try suction toys in the bath, and the rushing water helps my clit from becoming overstimulated.
Even though suction toys are technically touch-free, the air pulses can be harsh for someone with a sensitive clit. These air pulses can feel like thuds on the higher end of the intensity spectrum, which is not my cup of tea. But the lowest setting on this one felt like incredibly gentle suction and the closest to a mimic of oral sex that I’ve tried. It says on the box that they’ve upgraded their Pleasure Air to Pleasure Air 3D Technology, and though I’m not sure what they did engineering-wise, it worked.
That said, there is a vast range of intensities, though it spans only fourteen settings. So even the power-hungry suction toy enthusiasts will find this toy more than does the job. This version was an incredible upgrade and will now be the most-used clit suction toy in my collection, no question.
Packaging
The packaging is gorgeous. As you can see in the image below, it comes in a sturdy, dark purple box that gives you a preview of what’s inside. The box is pretty enough and packed so lovingly that you won’t want to throw it out, but you definitely can because it comes with a cotton storage pouch that will keep your clit stimulator clean and safe.
The box also has a QR code you can scan, which I thought would bring me to a website that would allow me to learn more about their eco packaging since it said “eco-packaging” right above it. But when I scanned mine, it just brought me to the website with the user manuals for all their toys. The labeling on that part could have been a little more precise.
Design
The Womanizer Next’s design is very similar to many other Womanizer toys with a slight arch with an easy-to-grip handle. But the design of the features is jaw-dropping and the amount of thought that went into how to make masturbation more pleasurable for people with clits is unparalleled.
The Afterglow feature, which reduces the intensity as you reach orgasm, might help people who were never able to before to have multiple orgasms. Autopilot brings a sense of surprise and excitement to masturbation by letting the toy direct the stimulations.
Smart Silence, which has the toy shut off unless it’s touching your skin, is my least favorite of the features. This is a helpful feature for people who are masturbating in secret and need the toy to shut off at a moment’s notice, but I always turn this feature off (which you can do by pressing the plus and minus buttons and holding them down for two seconds). If I need to reposition and the toy turns off, I feel like I’m starting from scratch, or I wonder if the battery has run out. It’s mostly mental, but it throws me off my game. However, I can see why other people might find it useful.
The only feature that’s notably missing is a travel lock. This addition should be easy enough to integrate given the complexity of their other features, and it would be a nice upgrade for the next model.
Material
The body is made from body-safe silicone, and it’s the kind that feels uber luxurious. The nozzle is velvety soft, and the entire body is constructed from silky-smooth silicone except for a shiny strip that I’m guessing is ABS plastic, another body-safe material. The materials are used together so elegantly that I have no notes: 10 out of 10!
Stimulations
As I began testing this toy, I was more than a little curious whether the stimulations would match their other toys, even though Next’s biggest claim is being noiseless. And I can confidently say that this toy has outclassed its peers. The sensations feel much more like oral sex than the often-thuddy air pulses of the rest of the toys I’ve tried. This suction is top-notch clit magic.
Sound Level
One of the boldest claims Womanizer makes about Next is the sound level. On the box, there is an icon of a crossed-out bell, and next to it, it says “noiseless.” Whisper-quiet is one thing, but noiseless is something else altogether. And as soon as I turned it on, I was nothing short of shocked. I couldn’t hear it at all. I had to put my thumb over the nozzle to ensure it was on because, other than the LED light, there was no other way to be sure it was running.
The sound level was so low that it was hard to perform the battery test even with it in my pocket. I couldn’t hear if it was still going, so I had to either keep my thumb over it or hold it up to my ear, where I could pick up a tiny whirring noise. I’m not sure what sort of sorcery Womanizer used to get the sound level so quiet, but I agree with them marketing this clit stimulator as noiseless.
When I tested the decibels on the Womanizer Next, they ranged from 38 to 51. Though the decibel meter did rise to 51, I think it may have been a fluke because it sounds much quieter than that. It’s easily the quietest toy I own. Full stop.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality and dimensions of the Womanizer Next are similar to many of their other models, which is to say it’s an easy-to-use size, and the quality is unmistakably outstanding.

Ease of Use
The more functionality a toy has, the more difficult it typically is to use. Luckily, Womanizer made learning and utilizing the many functions of the Next intuitive, so it’s easy to operate for such a versatile toy.
However, the buttons (image above) each have a couple of functions, so if you don’t have the toy memorized, you may get tripped up on which button activates which function. You’ll want to keep the manual close by the first few times you use it.
Versatility
This clit sucker was made to do one thing: suck clits. If that’s not the type of stimulation you want, you won’t be pleased, and it also means this toy isn’t incredibly versatile.
A few things add to the versatility level of the Next, including the fact that it’s waterproof. It also has a broad range of settings, from very low suction to more intense pulses. This scope of possibilities means more clits will be able to use this without feeling under- or overstimulated.
Warranty and Support
Womanizer offers a five-year warranty on all of their sex toys. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
This toy performed beautifully on all fronts. My only complaint is that, since it’s expensive, it would be nice to have app capability.

However, it doesn’t have Afterglow or the upgraded Pleasure Air 3D technology, which is a significant improvement.

The We-Vibe Melt is an excellent clitoral suction toy, but it has significant differences to consider when comparing it to the Womanizer Next. The We-Vibe Melt has an app that you can use for long-distance relationships or creating new patterns, but the app pales in comparison to the Lovense app. If the app is what you want most from the toy, you’ll be better off getting the Tenera.
The We-Vibe Melt is about as giftable and luxurious as the Next, plus it comes with a sample packet of lube. It only has a two-year warranty, but it’s seamless and easier to clean than the Next. During our We-Vibe Melt review, we also found out that there is only one size nozzle, however, so if that isn’t comfortable for your clit, you’re out of luck. The Melt lasted over three hours, which is a great battery life, yet it still doesn’t hold a candle compared to the Next. The Melt costs $149, a bit cheaper than the Womanizer Next.
Lelo Sona 2 Cruise
The Lelo Sona 2 Cruise is a cute little clit sucker, perfect for those who want pinpoint clitoral suction. The nozzle on this toy is on the small end, so anyone with a larger clit will want to steer clear and might want to try the Lelo Sila instead, which offers broader stimulation. Predictably, Lelo wins for giftability.
