10 Best Clit Vibrators [Video Demonstration]

We use affiliate links and may receive a small commission on purchases.

All the vibrators we tested

No matter how many types of sex toys I try, clit vibes will always hold a special place in my heart. For many of us, the clit is our primary erogenous zone. Plus, it’s the only part of the body built solely for pleasure. As a result, we should expect, nay, demand, a lot from our clit vibrators.

So, whether you’re ready to upgrade your current collection or just ready to upgrade from using your hand or sitting on the washing machine, there will be an option for you on this list.

Our top pick, the JimmyJane Form 2 Pro, ticks all of my boxes. It has two strong motors and the ability to control both the vibration pattern and the intensity of those vibes. For a biological structure as delicate and sensitive as the clitoris, I find that a vibrator with customizable options is a necessity. Whether you’re a beginner or already have a sizable collection, the JimmyJane From 2 Pro will make you and your clit very happy!

Key Takeaways

Test Winner: JimmyJane Form 2 Pro
JimmyJane Form 2 ProJimmyJane Form 2 Pro is the best clit vibrator on this list. It has everything, as far as I’m concerned. It looks good, feels good, and it’s easy to use while having plenty of options to make it vibe just the way you like.

Budget: The Whisperer
Smile Makers Collection The WhispererAt $39.90, The Whisperer by Smile Makers Collection is one of the cheaper options out there, but I never would have guessed. Based on how it looks and feels, I would not have been surprised if this clit vibrator had cost twice as much.

App Controlled: Lovense Ferri
Lovense FerriLovense Ferri is a good option for public play and long-distance sex. The compact size makes it ideal for extended wear, and unlike most vibrator panties, it comes with a magnetic clip for precise stimulation.

Meet The Tester

Hi, I am Becky V. Sexual wellness for everyone is something I’m passionate about, and I’m dedicated to keeping you informed about the newest and best products to make your sex life even better. With so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to choose the perfect ones, so I’m here to make those decisions at least a little bit easier.

Integrity is important to us here at My Sex Toy Guide. We buy each and every review sample with our own money, and we never accept free products in exchange for a positive review. We also want to be transparent about our business model. While we depend on affiliate commissions, we would never give a favorable review to a product just because it offers a higher payout. Every item on this list is included for one very reason: it’s genuinely among the very best.

How We Picked The Products

We sorted through hundreds of sex toys marketed as “clitoral vibrators” and selected 32 to test for this article. We only considered vibrators made from body-safe materials. Other preliminary criteria included previous test results, personal experience, known brands, new entrants, and notable features.

I then set the test specifications as follows:

  • Design: Because every body is different and everybody has different preferences, clitoral vibrators come in a wide range of designs. We did not favor any particular form factor and instead evaluated how each review sample could deliver targeted stimulation.
  • Versatility: While the primary function of a clitoral vibrator is to stimulate the clitoris, we did give extra points to products that could multitask, such as those with flexible tips that can be used on other erogenous zones.
  • Build Quality: Sex toys are expensive, and no one wants to pay money for poor quality. We evaluated the fit, feel, and finish of these vibrators as well as the materials (especially the materials that touch sensitive skin).
  • Settings: Our readers never complain about too many choices! Vibrators with extensive menus of patterns and intensities earned the highest ratings in this category.
  • Stimulation: All vibrators vibrate, and we appreciate them for that, but some offer unique sensations such as suction waves or elliptical rotations. We awarded points to review samples that went above and beyond.
  • Sound Level: As a group, these are definitely not the quietest toys that we have looked at, and that’s something to keep in mind. Still, we did try to call out the ones that are less noisy. Spoiler alert: it’s the Womanizer, not the Whisperer.
  • Battery Life: Stamina is important! We looked for clitoral vibrators with nice long run times for extended play sessions, and we also appreciated it when they recharged relatively quickly.
  • Special Features: This is where we got to recognize things that we really liked that didn’t fit neatly into any other category. Some of the special features in our top contenders included remote control, dedicated mobile apps (and app control), and a magnet that secures the vibrator in your panties.

All vibrators got at least a 30-day test period so that our testers could fully evaluate them. Testers rated each vibrator on a 0-100 scale for each criterion and submitted detailed written reports explaining their ratings. We then calculated a final score based on weighted metrics, with the most important criteria counting more heavily: Stimulation (25%), Design (25%), Settings (10%), Build Quality (10%), and Versatility (10%).

Besides these numbers, we read the written reports as well as external reviews and feedback on adult forums. We are confident that, all things considered (and we really do mean all), these are this year’s best clitoral vibrators on the market.

1. JimmyJane Form 2 Pro: Overall Test Winner!

JimmyJane Form 2 Pro

Why I Love The JimmyJane Form 2 Pro:

The Form 2 Pro was one of the first clit vibes I tested from my latest testing batch. Once I tried it, I knew it was going to be the one to beat. This toy has everything, as far as I’m concerned. It looks good, feels good, and it’s easy to use while having plenty of options to make it vibe just the way you like. Shame about the name, though. You’d think a company that could come up with a product this great could do a little better than “Form 2 Pro”.

My favorite thing about Form 2 Pro was how much you could customize your vibe. I am extremely particular when it comes to vibration patterns and intensities (well, my clit is extremely particular, but it all comes down to the same thing), so having the option to adjust both the pattern and the intensity level really elevates a toy as far as I’m concerned. The Form 2 Pro has 5 vibration patterns and 5 speeds to choose from (25 options in all, if my math isn’t failing me). I’ve tried toys where there’s effectively no difference between the lowest and highest intensities, but the Form 2 Pro has a wide range. Another feature I loved was how intuitive the button system was—a button in the center to cycle through the patterns, with a + button above it and a – below it to change the intensity level:

The control buttons

Now, great vibrations are one thing, but a great design is just as important. While not as overtly adorable as some other toys, the Form 2 Pro looks great. I tend to anthropomorphize my sex toys (and possessions in general), and to me, its cheerful pink color combined with its dual prongs makes it look like a cute little rabbit, complete with buttons forming its face. Form 2 Pro is also quite small, yet easy to hold and maneuver. And in a very impressive feat of engineering, despite its dual motors and small size, the vibrations did not travel to my hand! Instead, they stayed right where they belonged.

The Form 2 Pro is designed the way it is for a very purposeful reason—each of the rabbit ears has its own motor in the prong. While having dual motors might not seem like a big deal, especially since the clit is so small, the way the toy caresses the clit with the prongs on either side vibrating feels even better than a typical device you simply grind up against.

The rabbit ears

Upgrade Pick: LELO LILY 3

Petite, elegant, and versatile, the Lelo Lily 3 is another great choice. It’s extremely powerful, despite its small size, and ergonomic enough to be used for partner play as well as solo play. It has 10 stimulation settings and the ability to gradually increase or decrease the intensity of your vibes. If you like the sound of the Form 2 Pro but want something a bit more luxurious, the Lelo Lily 3 might be the option for you.

LELO LILY 3

Minor issues I found during testing:

Reading my initial review, apparently, I had trouble figuring out the travel lock. But I’ve never met a travel lock I didn’t struggle with, so it’s safe to say that was entirely human error.

If you want to see what JimmyJane Form 2 Pro looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full JimmyJane Form 2 Pro review here.

Features:

  • 5 vibration modes
  • 5 speeds
  • Waterproof
  • Intuitive, simple design
  • Comes with a bag

Pros:

  • Small yet powerful
  • Cute, intuitive design
  • Easy to hold and maneuver

Cons:

  • Difficulty turning it on (mostly due to human error)
  • Boring name

2. Smile Makers Collection The Whisperer: Budget Pick!

Smile Makers Collection The Whisperer

Why I Love The Whisperer:

The Whisperer is a clitoral vibrator with a backstory: according to their website, it was specifically “designed for new moms – or anyone who’s experienced a pause in pleasure,” with input from women on Mumsnet. Now, Mumsnet has its problems, but that didn’t prevent me from absolutely loving this toy. Not a new mom? Not to worry, you’ll still be able to have a great time with The Whisperer. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s a little sensitive (or even to a complete beginner).

At $39.90, The Whisperer is one of the cheaper options out there, but I never would have guessed. Based on how it looks and feels, I would not have been surprised if this vibrator had cost twice as much. The only aspect of it that seemed less luxe than other models on this list is that it only has 5 vibration modes.

The tip

One thing that makes The Whisperer great for anyone who might be hesitant to use a vibrator is how intuitive and easy it is to use. The lipstick shape provides definite guidance on how to use it, without pinpointing the vibes so much that they might hurt. The comparative gentleness of the vibes is also a plus if you’re unused to vibrators.

Another great thing about the design is how easy it is to use the button system. While I don’t dislike a complex button system, it wouldn’t feel suited to this particular vibe and it’s laid-back, simple… vibe. It only has one button, which allows you to cycle through the different stimulations, which is not a problem when there are only 5 to cycle through:

The control button

Upgrade Pick: Magic Wand Micro

The Magic Wand Micro is exactly what it sounds like: a mini wand that delivers some magically powerful sensations. It has a lot more power than The Whisperer, and at 36-46 decibels, it isn’t super loud. Unlike the lipstick shape of The Whisperer, it has a flexible neck, which might make it a better option for you. The Magic Wand also has three vibration modes that increase in speed, but it has four different patterns to explore.

Magic Wand Micro

Minor issues I found during testing:

My only issue with The Whisperer, and the thing that prevented it from being a contender for the #1 spot was the fact that it only had 5 vibration modes (3 speeds and 2 patterns).

If you want to see what The Whisperer looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full review of The Whisperer here.

Features:

  • 5 vibration modes
  • Waterproof
  • Lipstick design
  • Gentle enough for anyone with sensitivities

Pros:

  • Small, yet high-quality
  • Intuitive design
  • Designed by moms, for moms

Cons:

  • Only 5 vibration modes
  • Only comes in green

3. Lovense Ferri: Best App Control!

Lovense Ferri

Why I Love The Lovense Ferri:

If you’re feeling daring and want to take your pleasure outside, the Lovense Ferri might just be the clit vibrator for you. It’s app-controlled, so you can discreetly control your pleasure hands-free…or give it over to your partner and let them take over. Just be mindful of bringing your kink in public.

Unlike a lot of “wearable” vibes that have no intention of staying put, the Ferri is designed to actually stay inside your underwear, with the help of a little magnet that attaches to the outside of your panties. It even comes with an extra magnet, just in case you lose the first one. It’s also small enough to wear comfortably while walking around.

Closeup of the controls

Despite its small size, Ferri is powerful! Just make sure to wear it with a relatively tight pair of underwear, so that it stays in place against your clit. Unfortunately, the power makes it a little loud at the highest intensities. While that may not be an issue in the privacy of your own home, it’s definitely something to take into consideration during public play.

An app-controlled product is only as good as its app, and the Lovense app is one of the best. I noted that it pairs instantly with the device and provides step-by-step instructions on how to use it. It has vibration presets, of course, but you have the chance to experiment with limitless patterns. You can also try patterns that other people in the community have created. It can even sync with your music to give you a fully immersive experience. So, whether you want to use it on yourself on a solo date, or whether you want to give a long-distance partner a chance to pleasure you, the Lovense Ferri is a great option.

Lovense Ferri and the Lovense Connect App

Minor issues I found during testing:

The only issue with Ferri is its volume.

If you want to see what Lovense Ferri looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full Lovense Ferri review here.

Features:

  • Waterproof
  • USB rechargeable

Pros:

  • The Lovense app is versatile and simple to use for long-distance couples
  • Strong magnet keeps it in place
  • Powerful motor for such a small toy
  • Pinpoint sensations
  • Long battery life
  • Easy to use

Cons:

  • Expensive at $119
  • A little loud when on high power

4. Zumio X2: Best Pin-Point Stimulation!

Zumio X2 with the travel cap

Why I Love The Zumio X2:

The Zumio X2 is small, discreet, and easy to use. It has so much going for it that I initially couldn’t decide what category to put it under (Best travel? Best small size? Most discreet?). One thing I would not call X2, however, is a good beginner toy. On their website and instruction booklet, they offer guidance on how a beginner could use it to discover their erogenous zones, but I found the X2 to be way too intense to recommend to a beginner. Something with the broad, lipstick shape of The Whisperer would be a much better option than the tiny little stimulator on the X2.

However, if you aren’t a beginner and you want something that will target your clit and go at it mercilessly, the Zumio X2 would be a great choice. Its tiny head means that all its vibrations (sorry, “elliptical motions”) stay extremely focused and intense, even at the lower vibration levels:

The tiny tip

The X2 website touts the fact that it uses an elliptical motion instead of a regular vibration, but to me, it felt…exactly like a regular vibration. That’s by no means a bad thing but worth pointing out, in case you really wanted to branch out into a different sensation.

X2 also really shines in terms of its size and portability. If you want to take a clit vibrator with you when you travel, TSA likely won’t even register this as a sex toy—it looks much more like a tiny electric toothbrush, or something else equally unsexy. So, if you want a long, luxurious self-care session, I would skip the X2. But if you want a quick, wild time that will leave you breathless, you couldn’t do much better.

Zumio X2

Upgrade Pick: LELO DOT Travel

With a similarly pinpointed design, the Lelo DOT Travel is another great vibe that’s perfect for travel or if you just need a powerful vibe in just the right spot. It has 8 vibration modes, but unlike the X2, it has the ability to change the intensity of the vibes. So, if you’re like me and are very particular, the Lelo DOT has the edge. It also has a much better name.

LELO DOT Travel

Minor issues I found during testing:

While I did appreciate the pinpoint precision, Zumio X2 is not the most comfortable to use, especially for a beginner. It also had eight intensities, but no patterns to try out. As someone who needs a pattern to really get going, I was a little disappointed in that.

If you want to see what Zumio X2 looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full Zumio X2 review here.

Features:

  • 8 intensities
  • Uses rotation, not vibration
  • Waterproof
  • Travel lock

Pros:

  • Perfect for travel
  • Powerful
  • Offers pinpoint precision

Cons:

  • Stimulations didn’t include any patterns
  • Stimulations might be too intense for some, especially beginners
  • Elliptical motion feels just like regular vibrations.

5. Starsi/Zeep: Best For Beginners!

Cute Little Fuckers Starsi

Why I Love Starsi and Zeep:

Starsi and Zeep are two great clit vibrators from Cute Little Fuckers, both of which are perfect for beginners, since both of them are designed with exploration in mind. Both have different textures throughout and can be used in a myriad of different ways (though they are exclusively meant for external use).

Unlike a lot of toys on this list that work their best while used on the clitoris, these can be used on all your erogenous zones. If you’ve never used a sex toy before and don’t quite know what you like, Starsi and Zeep can help you explore your body in a fun, gentle way. As with all CLF toys, they’re also designed with accessibility in mind. These toys can be used by people of any gender, and Starsi in particular, with its larger size, is meant to help with body dysmorphia.

Close-up of the texture

The Starsi is the bigger of the two and has six little arms, each ending in a point. The point can be used for some pinpoint precision, or if you prefer more all-over vibes, you can grind up against the front or back. The front is textured all over, while the back is smooth with a ridge down the middle. That ridge is such a great design choice, since it makes holding Starsi a lot easier, and if you flip it around, feels great to grind up against.

The Zeep is smaller, but also has a smooth side and a textured side, plus a point for some precision (the lore is that Zeep is a little bug hiding in a leaf, so isn’t the tip of the leaf can be used for precision). You can put Zeep’s antennae on either side of the clitoris, or explore it in any way you choose.

Cute Little Fuckers Zeep

While the two are very similar (here’s a video comparing the two), I personally preferred the Starsi just a little bit. My favorite way of using it was positioning myself between two of the legs (effectively scissoring it, I suppose), something that just can’t be done with Zeep. I also enjoyed experimenting with straddling the two toys, and again, Starsi had a bit of an edge, just because its legs made it much easier to maneuver. But both are so great that I couldn’t resist mentioning them in tandem.

Minor issues I found during testing:

When I first tried these toys, especially Starsi, the unique design had me a little confused at first. Both clit vibrators do come with a guide on how to use them, but as someone who likes instructions, I found myself a little intimidated and it took a few tries to find out just how I like to use them. So, if you do decide to give these toys a try, start with an open mind that’s ready for exploration!

You can read my Starsi review here and my Zeep review here.

Features:

  • Waterproof
  • Designed for all genders
  • 10 speeds and patterns

Pros:

  • Unique design
  • Unlimited ways to use them
  • Especially designed for people who are trans, non-binary, and/or have body dysmorphia
  • Designed with accessibility in mind

Cons:

  • Lack of clear instructions could be intimidating
  • No way of adjusting the speed of different vibration patterns.

6. Womanizer Vibe: Quietest!

Womanizer Vibe

Why I Love The Womanizer:

Quietness is a sex toy feature that I don’t think about too often…until I’m worried someone is going to overhear me, in which case it becomes the only feature I’m thinking about. Womanizer toys have a lot going for them in general, but one of the most impressive features about them is just how quiet they are. Sound is caused by vibrations, after all, so most vibrators are going to make some kind of sound. But since the Womanizer doesn’t vibrate like typical toys and instead uses special UltraWave technology, it’s a lot quieter than your average vibe.

Quietness isn’t the only cool feature that The Womanizer has: it has an autopilot mode, and it’s designed as a lay-on vibrator. Then there are the UltraWave vibrations themselves. Gentle and rumbly at once, UltraWave is not just a gimmicky name: these are smooth vibes with a difference.

Me testing the sound level using a decibel meter

As with other Womanizer toys, this one is beautifully designed. It has a ridge for pinpoint precision, but you can also use it by straddling the back. While I love their suction toys, positioning them just right can be a bit of a hassle, and the design of this toy makes it a lot easier to get those vibes vibing in the right place.

The lay-on aspect of the toy might be a bit tricky to master. Your best bet is probably putting it on the bed so that you can sink in a little bit and not worry about it clattering around on a hard surface. Of course it can also be used as a regular vibrator.

The control buttons on Womanizer Vibe

Minor issues I found during testing:

Womanizer Vibe doesn’t have a remote or app, just the buttons on the toy itself. For a normal toy, that’s totally fine. For a lay-on vibrator? Well, you can imagine the issue that arises.

If you want to see what the Womanizer Vibe looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full review of Womanizer Vibe here.

Features:

  • UltraWave vibration
  • Ten intensity levels
  • Waterproof, body-safe materials
  • Ergonomic shape
  • Three Autopilot modes

Pros:

  • UltraWave technology
  • Extremely quiet
  • Versatile and durable
  • Incredible battery life

Cons:

  • No remote control or app, making it hard to use as a lay-on vibrator

7. Magic Wand Plus: Most Powerful!

Magic Wand Plus

Why I Love The Magic Wand Plus:

Dubbed “The Queen of Sex Toys” by Angela Kempf in her original review, Magic Wand Plus is a real powerhouse! It has four intensity levels, which don’t sound like a lot, but even the first level is rumbly, with strong, broad vibes, and is powerful enough to satisfy! The fourth level…wow! In fact, it’s so powerful that it needs to be plugged in while you use it. Not an ideal design choice, but definitely goes to show just how intense this toy is.

The basic functionality is another part of its appeal. There’s no complicated button system or endless patterns to cycle through. There are just extremely powerful vibes:

Closeup of the three control buttons

The Magic Wand Plus definitely improved on the original Magic Wand. It’s larger and more powerful, with four settings instead of just two. It also has an upgraded silicone head, as opposed to the original’s vinyl head.

This original Magic Wand is one of the first modern sex toys, and first hit the market in 1968. The design hasn’t changed much during that time, but I think that adds to its appeal. It’s a part of history, and the somewhat dated, frankly un-sexy look of the toy is worlds away from cutesy toys like Starsi and Zeep. It will obviously depend on your personal taste, but its design definitely speaks to its history. The design and packaging being so unsexy also makes masturbation seem like a part of your self-care routine, not a naughty activity that needs to be prettied up with a cutesy design.

The content of the box

Minor issues I found during testing:

With great power comes great…volume, unfortunately. But it would be almost impossible for a toy this powerful to be completely silent. The bigger downside is the fact that it needs to be plugged into the wall while in use. Needless to say, that aspect of the toy is going to be a dealbreaker for a lot of people.

If you want to see what Magic Wand Plus looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full Magic Wand Plus review here.

Features:

  • Four-speed levels, with the highest reaching 6,300 RPM and incredible power
  • Body-safe silicone head
  • Flexible neck
  • One-year warranty

Pros:

  • Unparalleled power
  • Upgraded, nonporous head made from silicone
  • Four intensity levels
  • Easy to use
  • Excellent for partner play
  • Compatible with many attachments

Cons:

  • Plugs into the wall with a 6′ cord, reducing where you can use it
  • Old-fashioned design won’t appeal to everyone
  • Loud

8. Lovehoney Flash: Most Discreet!

Lovehoney Flash 7 Function Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator

Why I Love The Lovehoney Flash:

The opposite of flashy, the Lovehoney Flash is tiny and quiet. Its design is also very discreet, with its black color and slightly angled head, but it doesn’t look as blatantly unsexy as something like the Zumio X2 or the Magic Wand.

One thing I really appreciated about Flash was that despite its small size, the vibrations didn’t travel up to my hand in an unpleasant way. The vibes stayed right where they needed to be. The vibrations on this clit vibrator aren’t super strong, but with its 7 vibration modes (3 basic vibes and 4 patterns), it’s easy to find the right one for you, especially since with an external toy, you can have more control over how powerful the vibes get.

The built-in magnetic charger

While sex toys with one button can counterintuitively be difficult to use, especially if there are a lot of modes to cycle through, Flash was very simple. The button itself was responsive and satisfying to press, which is a rarity in toys under $50 (and not even super common in toys over $50).

For some toys, being small inhibits what they can do. However, I found that The Flash was just the right size. It’s small enough to be a travel toy or to use in tandem with another toy (or during partnered sex), yet it’s good enough to be an everyday toy and powerful enough to be the main event in your self-pleasure routine.

The tip

Upgrade Pick: We-Vibe Tango X

The We-Vibe Tango X is shaped like a lipstick, and even comes in a bright red color. Not only is it small and discreet, but unlike the Lovehoney Flash, it has seven vibration patterns and the ability to control the intensity. Whether you prefer the simplicity of the Flash or the customizable options of the Tango, they are both great options.

we vibe tango x

Minor issues I found during testing:

The only issue I had with Lovehoney Flash was some slight discoloration or peeling of the silicone. It didn’t impact the functionality at all, but it was the only thing that made this clitoral vibrator seem cheap.

If you want to see what the Lovehoney Flash 7 Function Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my Lovehoney Flash 7 Function Clitoral Vibrator review here.

Features:

  • 7 vibration modes
  • Built-in USB
  • Waterproof

Pros:

  • Small and discreet
  • Easy to use
  • No hand vibrations
  • Vibes are just the right intensity

Cons:

  • Slight discoloration on the silicone
  • No customizable options (can’t control pattern and intensity separately)

9. Oh My Gem Ardor: Best Warming Feature!

Oh My Gem Ardor Warming Vibrator by Blush

Why I Love The Ardor:

Using sex toys can sometimes feel a little clinical, with the cool silicone and even cooler lube. However, the Ardor solves that problem with its warming feature. It heats up to 107°, and as a result, feels more lifelike and comfortable than a lot of other models.

Another great thing about the Ardor is how versatile it is. While this is a Top 10 clit vibes list, the Ardor can also be used internally and performs equally well. I really appreciated the mindful design of this clit vibrator. Whereas a lot of internal vibrators are versatile in that technically you can put them on your clitoris and see what happens, it has an angled tip that both makes insertion easy and provides a good, flat surface to grind up against:

The tip

The Gem only has one button, the big gem on the bottom. While I don’t usually love that type of button placement, the size and responsiveness of the button make it easy to press. The heating function also turns on automatically, so you don’t have to worry about that.

For such a small product, the vibrations are powerful and the patterns are a lot of fun to explore. It has 5  basic vibrations that increase in intensity and 5 patterns.

The gem at the base

Minor issues I found during testing:

My only issue with Oh My Gem Ardor is that if you turn it on but don’t start cycling through the vibrations right away, it turns off automatically. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be an issue (why turn it on if you’re not going to get started right away?), but it doesn’t give the Gem time to fully warm up before you start vibing. This is more of an issue if you’re using it internally, but I still would have liked the option to let it heat up all the way before using it.

If you want to see what the Oh My Gem Ardor looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full Oh My Gem Ardor review here.

Features:

  • 10 vibration modes
  • Deep, rumbly vibes
  • Warming function (107°)
  • Waterproof
  • Tapered design

Pros:

  • Works internally and externally
  • Powerful, rumbly vibes
  • Warming function
  • Better charging/run time than most warming toys

Cons:

  • Vibes can be a little too powerful
  • No instruction sheet
  • Turns off automatically
  • Only 45 minutes of play time isn’t a lot, even with a short charge time

10. Blush Gaia Eco Love: Best Eco-Friendly!

Blush Gaia Eco Love Clitoral Vibrator

Why I Love The Gaia Eco Love:

Another Blush vibe for the list: the Eco Love isn’t just eco-nomical at $38.00, it’s also eco-friendly. The internal vibrating component of the Eco Love is made of BioFeel, which feels just like hard plastic. However, what makes the Eco Love special is that the outside sleeve is made of BioTouch. According to their website, it is a sustainable and naturally harvested rubber, and it’s enveloped in Ultrasilk. I wasn’t able to find any information on Ultrasilk, but all you really need to know is that it feels just like soft, smooth, flexible silicone, while being better for the planet.

The Eco Love also has 10 vibration modes, 5 of which are basic vibes and 5 of which are patterns. I don’t know what it is, but something about Blush patterns is so much fun to try out.

The texture

The design of Eco Love wasn’t perfect but did have some touches that I appreciated. Aesthetically, I liked the heart shape of the fin (though it wasn’t necessarily the easiest to hold), and physically, I liked the ridges on the tip of the toy.

The shape of the Eco Love also makes it easy to use on other erogenous zones. So, if you want to do some all-over exploring, this could be a great choice for you.

The finger fin

Minor issues I found during testing:

My main issue with Eco Love was the handle. While it did feel nice to hold, the vibrations were still so intense they traveled to my hand, which would be much less of a problem if the site didn’t specifically say that the fin “Dampens Vibrations To Your Hand” (their capital letters, not mine). Also because of the position of the fin, you can’t press the button while holding the fin properly.

If you want to see what the Gaia Eco Love looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full Blush Gaia Eco Love review here.

Features:

Other Good Alternatives

Je Joue Mimi SoftLike the idea of a clit vibe but aren’t quite comfortable with the idea of pinpoint precision? Like the idea of the Starsi but find the design just a little much? Well, then the Mantric or Je Joue Mimi Soft might be better options for you. Both have a rounded, pebble shape that can be used to stimulate your clitoris (or anywhere else) without needing a ton of pressure or accuracy. At twice the price, the Je Joue has the option to increase or decrease the intensity, while the Mantric only has 7 stimulations.

A wet Dame PomThe Dame Pom is tiny but mighty! Plus, it’s extremely versatile, as the front can be used for pinpoint pleasure, while the back can be used for broader stimulations. It’s also easy to use and looks adorable, but not overly cutesy.

Aria Flutter Tongue VibratorAnother winner from Blush! The Aria Flutter Tongue topped my list of best tongue toys, and is worth mentioning on this list, too. While the tongue design makes it a bit more difficult to use than a regular vibrator, since you have to position it just right, once you have it right where you want it…it’s incredible!

Womanizer EnhanceWomanizer toys are absolutely amazing, and their Enhance more than lives up to its name! If you’re curious about their PleasureAir technology but are still a little skeptical, this clit sucker also includes traditional vibrations. So, whichever you end up preferring, this toy has you covered, since you can use both types of stimulation in tandem or separately.

And Six To Avoid

Blush Gaia Eco Bullet VibratorWhenever I praise a toy for being small but not too small, the thing I’m comparing it to is the Blush Gaia Eco Bullet. Too tiny to hold comfortably, I barely even registered how it felt against my clit, since my main thought was, “How am I supposed to hold this?” I accidentally typed “pain” instead of “main” in that last sentence, but I think it was a subconscious Freudian slip, because pain was what I was experiencing from this toy, mostly from the hand cramps and the vibrations that pummeled my poor fingers.

Blush Riana Clitoral StimulatorI really wanted to love this clit vibrator, since a lot of other Blush toys made it onto this list. But they can’t all be winners. I understand the need for nontraditional clitoral stimulation that isn’t just vibrations, but the Blush Riana swung back and forth so widely and violently that my clit got left behind!

Me wearing the FIORE rose ringLess of a serious sex toy and more of a gag gift, the Fiore Rose Ring is…let’s be charitable and call it contradictory. It’s meant to be disguised as a discreet piece of jewelry, but it looks like a silicone-encased piece of tech. It’s bulky to wear, awkward to use, and definitely one to avoid. I loved the packaging, though.

VeDO Amore Pleasure VibeThe VeDO Amore has a very cute design, however, it doesn’t seem to be designed with human anatomy in mind. The fin on the back is awkward to hold between your fingers, it’s impossible to press the button while holding the handle, the flat part of it doesn’t offer any kind of pinpoint pleasure, and, unlike the other pebble-shaped toys on this list, it doesn’t have any delicious-feeling textures or ways of exploring the different shapes. Also, the silicone is sticky instead of smooth. That’s a dealbreaker right there!

VeDO Boom Warming Mini VibratorThe VeDO Boom is an example of a fine vibrator that just…didn’t do it for me. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it, it just has a lot of little flaws that add up. The button placement was awkward, and pressing them was difficult, making it less than ideal as a staple of your collection. And while it’s small enough to travel with, the volume made it pretty indiscreet (it is called Boom after all).

The control buttonsThe Biird Evii was a perfectly good product that I gave a respectable 4/5 stars. So, what’s a nice clit vibrator like that doing in the avoid section? Well, it comes down to the marketing. The description on SheVibe says, “Marshmallow, but in a toy… Evii feels ultra squishy and soft,” and it simply…doesn’t. While its dual motors make it powerful, they certainly don’t make it squishy. While I can understand products being marketed as “travel toys” or “perfect for beginners”, since those don’t have strict definitions, I draw the line at being told a toy is squishy when it is not, in fact, squishy.

What Is a Clit Vibrator?

A clitoral vibrator is… a vibrator that targets the clitoris. They provide external stimulation, usually rumbles, vibrations, and/or suction, that travels from the pudendal nerve to the brain, which (hopefully!) triggers an orgasm.

Two clit vibes we tested

While there are plenty of variations, clit vibrators are generally small enough to maneuver easily and have rounded tips for comfort. Many people with vulvas enjoy clit vibrators for solo play, and because of their petite profiles, they can often be incorporated into partnered sex.

But Why Should I Use One?

80% of women are not able to reach orgasm from penetration alone, but a significantly higher percentage can orgasm from penetrative sex plus clitoral stimulation. Because people have bodies and sometimes bellies, it can be difficult in some positions to wedge a hand where it needs to be to stimulate the clitoris (and even if you are both quite slender, sometimes wrists don’t bend the way that they need to). Clitoral vibrators are a great addition to partnered sex.

And it probably goes without saying that clitoral vibrators are excellent for solo play as well. Scientists have recently mapped the entire clitoral structure, and it’s more extensive and more powerful than we had thought. There are tens of thousands of nerve endings in the clitoris, and stimulating them can lead to intense pleasure and powerful orgasms.

How To Use A Clit Vibrator?

Outside of issues around safety or consent (generally not a concern when it comes to masturbation!), there is no wrong way to use your clit vibrator or any other sex toy for women. You should do what feels best to you. But our testers have spent many hours with their clit vibrators and therefore have some wisdom to share here.

  1. Even if you’re not using your toy internally, lube is still a good idea. It helps protect the sensitive skin around your clitoris and mound, and it also helps conduct the vibration. Apply good-quality lube to your body and your vibrator before you start your play session.
  2. Even before you switch your clit vibrator on, gently rub it around your clit. This helps your body get used to the sensation, and it’s easier for you to find good angles and ergonomics when the toy is not vibrating. Then turn it on low and slow, let your body acclimate, and then start experimenting with speeds and patterns until you find your sweet spot.
  3. If you want to use your clit vibrator during partnered sex, the same general guidance applies except that you’ll probably want to communicate with your partner; sometimes they can feel the vibrations when they are inside you, and this is often welcome but worth a check-in to be sure.
  4. Be sure to clean your toy before and especially after use. If it is waterproof (and most are), you can wash it with mild fragrance-free soap and plenty of warm water, pat it dry with a soft towel, and let it air-dry out of direct sunlight before storing it away. If it is not waterproof, you can use a specialized sex toy cleaner or follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Happy vibing!
