What Is the Womanizer Premium Eco?
Womanizer wanted to do something helpful for the environment. So it took its star sex toy, the Premium, and modeled the Womanizer Premium Eco smart silence clitoral stimulator after it, keeping the shape but leaving much of the plastics behind. Womanizer packaging is always attractive but this box was quite different from the others I’ve received from them. The inner box was cardboard (sturdy, nice-looking cardboard) that had a paper cover on it.
Inside the box, the eco-friendly packaging continued. Everything was beautifully labeled, easy to read, and durable enough to keep for a long time. I was impressed right off the bat!

Using the Womanizer Premium Eco is simple.
- First, wash and charge it.
- Attach whichever suction head seems like it will fit better.

My Personal Experience
Introduction
Searching for an eco-friendly sex toy is no easy task. Other sex toy brands, like Lovehoney, have stepped up and offered a program where you can bring in your old vibrator, and they will get it to the correct facility. Many, however, don’t have earth-friendly models and leave the responsibility for determining how to discard it to the owner.
I was thrilled that Womanizer had developed an earth-conscious option made from biodegradable materials. Another bonus is that this eco model is not the same price as the original Womanizer model; the Womanizer Premium Eco cost is just $139 compared to the original’s $199, making it a more wallet-friendly choice for your orgasm.
Overall, my experience was nearly indistinguishable from Premium 2, which is impressive. The intensity, texture, and battery life all felt similar.
I would love to see some of these ideas implemented in other toys, too, not just those branded as earth-conscious. Womanizer could use eco-friendly packages for all of its toys while still selling some more luxurious, less sustainable silicone and ABS plastic toys. It would also be fabulous if the design team could make all the toys with a replaceable battery to give them a longer lifespan and smaller footprint.
Packaging
The packaging has a distinctly eco-friendly feel, but the quality hasn’t diminished. The box may have a little less of a luxurious touch, yet everything feels well-made and durable. The suction device comes with everything you need, including two sizes of silicone suction heads, a USB charging cable, a user manual, and an organic cotton storage pouch.
The cotton pouch comes with some of the other toys as well. It’s perfectly lovely, and better yet, it’s washable.
However, the manual is shortened, with more translations available via the QR code. I would have preferred the entire user manual to be available online rather than the brand seeming to show a preference for English speakers.
Design
The Eco’s design is very similar in shape and size to the original Premium. However, since this one is made with Biolene, a more sustainable material, it’s a bit harder than the others, and the seams are wide. It doesn’t fit together quite as perfectly, so you’ll need to take more care when you clean it.
The wider seams occur because this toy was made to be taken apart so the battery could be replaced. It’s not a bug; it’s a feature, giving this toy years of use that it would not otherwise have had.
Material
Biolene is a material I hadn’t come across before in my sex toy adventures, so I was excited to see what it was like. The Womanizer website describes Biolene as a bio-based material comprised of renewable raw materials like corn starch.
I first thought it was rigid and felt easy to damage. However, since Womanizer kept the silicone head, your clit doesn’t get the brunt of the material’s hardness. The material receives extra points since it’s recyclable, even though it’s a bit harder than most plastic and silicone toys I’ve tried.
Stimulations
The stimulations are surprisingly intense for a device made to save energy and waste. I was a huge fan of the spectrum of suction levels it provided. Though it doesn’t feel precisely like oral sex, it has the strength necessary to give your clitoris multiple orgasms and last for many years. That’s something most vibrators can’t compete with!
Sound Level
This device was moderately quiet, comparable with other toys of the same function and size. When I tested it, the decibels ranged from 44-66, which is about the same as a normal conversation.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality is slightly less than other Womanizer products I’ve tried, thanks to the broader seams. The dimensions are roughly the same as any other suction device.
Ease Of Use
The Womanizer Eco is incredibly easy to use. There are only two buttons on it, the plus and the minus, which turn it on and off and alter the intensities. The device doesn’t have a remote control or app capability, but it’s still straightforward to use.
I was curious how easy this would be to disassemble since I’m not incredibly handy. The answer is: I could do it, so it’s undoubtedly easy!
Versatility
The Premium Eco is somewhat versatile. It comes with two heads, so not only are you sure you can find the right fit but it may fit multiple partners (with adequate sanitization in between, of course). It’s also small enough for use during penetration as long as the position permits (spooning is an excellent position for sex toy use).
However, beyond that, the Premium Eco isn’t very versatile. If you don’t like suction, you’re out of luck. Further, it’s not waterproof, so you can’t use it in the bath.
Warranty and Support
This device has a 5-year warranty, which is a long time in the sex toy industry. The anticipated long shelf life of this device (and many other Womanizer toys) is another factor that makes this purchase green.
The warranty makes Womanizer one of the more environmentally sound brands you can choose.
Minor issues I found during testing
One thing I didn’t love about this device is it only comes in one color: rose. Though it’s a pretty shade of pastel pink, traditionally gendered colors like pink can make some people feel left out. I hope that they come out with more color options in the future!
Next, there are only two buttons, which means your options are limited. For people who are business masturbators like me, that’s not a problem. I like consistency, and I rarely use the pattern settings on any device except to test them. But if you prefer to mix things up, you may be disappointed.
Pro Tip: Even though there are only two buttons, you can still turn the Smart Silence technology off, so whenever the device isn’t in close contact with your skin, it will shut off. If you don’t like it, press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously for two seconds to turn it off. This process will also reactivate them.
Further, the silicone heads are a luxurious touch, but they are not easily recyclable. Many recycling centers won’t take them, so you may find it difficult to dispose of them without creating waste.
Lastly, the short charging cord was a bit difficult to manage. The magnetic cable is also not strongly magnetized, so I had to find a good position for the device to continue charging. It was a sacrifice I was happy to make since this device was better for the environment.

Womanizer Premium Eco vs. Premium 2
The Premium 2 is the upgraded version of the original model on which the Eco’s design was based. They are roughly the same size, and both will mean multiple orgasms for people whose clitoris loves suction. However, the regular Premium doesn’t have the modular design or any other alterations that make the new device much greener. If you break the original Premium, you cannot easily reassemble it because it doesn’t have the special kind of build made for that.
The Eco model also doesn’t have the Autopilot mode. The Autopilot mode would cycle you through settings automatically without you having to control the device.

The toy turns off after every ten minutes of “inactivity,” making things difficult for people who love lengthy play sessions and don’t change the settings much. That means if you don’t change the settings for ten minutes, the toy will shut off, causing a potentially disappointing situation if you’re near orgasm. I wish the setting triggered after a little longer, perhaps 30 minutes, because some of us take a while, okay?
How Long Does It Take for It to Charge?
The manual didn’t say how long the battery would last, so I was concerned about the battery life when I started. When I tested it, it took just under two hours for it to charge, and it lasted for five hours and fifty-four minutes of use on the lowest setting. So, don’t worry that the green upgrades have negatively affected the battery level because they haven’t!

The Womanizer Premium Eco isn’t incredibly easy to clean, unfortunately. It’s not fully waterproof, and there are prominent seams in it. You can use a damp cloth to clean between uses. You’ll want to wipe it with a damp cloth, apply a sex toy cleaner, and let it air dry. Use a dry toothbrush occasionally to clean in between the crevices.
The suction head is much easier to clean. First, remove the silicone head from the toy. Then, submerge under warm water and wash with an antibacterial soap or a toy cleaner. The last step is to air dry.

That saves battery and electricity and keeps you from forgetting to turn it off.
