But does it feel like the real deal? Let’s put the suction to the test in this KAI PRO review.
The first words out of my partner’s mouth after he tested this masturbator were, “Wow! That was a lot better than I expected.” He’s not a negative Nelly by any stretch, but he’s been burned by penis vibes before.
To be honest, when we started cleaning it, our expectations were low. The masturbator was not as easy to clean or assemble as we hoped. Small cords run inside, connecting small bullet vibrators to the sleeve. It looks and feels breakable and needlessly intricate. We exchanged “this is going to be a pain” glances, but we judged too soon.
This masturbator is now one of his favorites. It worked like an orgasmic charm. The combination of stimulation led him to climax easily. It’s in his top three all-time masturbators, and the others range between three and ten times its price. In other words, it’s a steal.
The manual suggests not heating for more than four minutes at a time or your penis might come out medium rare. But when my partner tested it, he found that it warmed up the sleeve from cold to body temperature, but not much warmer. The suction moves it on its own, and it rests gently between the thighs, so it can be used completely hands-free. You can use it as a stroker, too, if you need that specific motion to climax. He was floored by how much he loved it.
Who Should Try It? This is one of the best-priced versatile masturbators my partner has tried. If you want something somewhat techy and exceptionally versatile, this is a great choice.
Who Can Skip It? If you want an investment masturbator with seamless design and durability, you’ll be better off spending more on something like the Autoblow VacuGlide 2.
You Can Buy It on the official Honey Play Box website for $109.99.
What Is the Honey Play Box KAI PRO?
The Honey Play Box KAI PRO is a penis masturbator with customizable vibration, heat, and suction. It’s app-compatible for long-distance play and has an LED display. You can use it hands-free with ease and customize the stimulation in the app.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The unboxing experience is pleasant. It comes in a sleek box, and inside you’ll find the masturbator, charging cord, and user manual. The exterior case doubles as storage, and it also includes an extra-large bag so you can keep your lube handy.
Rest assured, the packaging is discreet. Expect a plain cardboard box with a generic return address. I’m not listing it here so it’s less searchable.
Features
The Honey Play Box KAI PRO has prolific features, including:
- Heating, vibrating, and suction
- LED display
- 9 vibration modes and 4 suction levels
- 11,000 RPM vibrations
Specifications
Let’s talk about specs, baby:
- Material: Silicone, ABS plastic, and TPE
- Size: 6.4” long sleeve; case is 10.2 x 3.7”
- Color: Black
- Mechanism: Penis suction, vibration, and warming
- Weight: 1.9 lbs
How Do I Use the Honey Play Box KAI PRO?
- Unbox, charge, and wash it. The battery life won’t knock your socks off, but that’s because it’s shockingly powerful. After a 150-minute charge, expect up to 150 minutes of use on lower settings. Plug it into the top to charge it; plug it into the bottom to heat.
- Lube up your erection and the inside of the sleeve with water-based lube. Use the button interface or the app to explore the stimulations. The power button cycles through the vibrations, and the button to the right adjusts the suction.
- When you’re finished, wash and air dry before reassembling. Wipe the exterior clean with a damp paper towel.
My Personal Experience
Design
The design is unique. It’s long enough to fit most erections comfortably. But the two wires connecting the sleeve to the bullet vibes are delicate, and assembly takes getting used to (you can see the two wires below).
The design hits an intermediate note of realism. The warmth and soft TPE lend realistic notes to the masturbation experience, but the aesthetic looks techy rather than vaginal or anal.
Material
The materials aren’t the most durable or body-safe long-term, but that’s why this masturbator is such a steal. It’s made from silicone, ABS plastic, and TPE, so you’ll need to replace the sleeve component at the first indication of wear. Only the sleeve is waterproof, so wash accordingly.
Stimulations
The Honey Play Box KAI PRO brings a smorgasbord of stimulation to your fingertips, or, more accurately, your erection tip. There are two vibrators, suction, and heat for you to tinker with to your heart’s content. My partner was blown away by the amount of stimulation provided by the two small bullets.
The heater claims to heat up to 107 degrees in three minutes, which is enough above body temp to feel warm but not uncomfortable. The heating was the least impressive of the stimulations, but my partner liked warming it up before starting, then relying solely on the vibration and suction.
The website boasted “air-powered suction,” which made me realize that I’m not enough of a sexual scientist to be aware of another basis for suction. Maybe there’s a masturbator out there that uses diesel to power the suction, but I haven’t tried it yet.
The vibrators sit at about 10 and 2 o’clock, and so my partner preferred to flip it and have it at the bottom, so that it stimulated his frenulum. KAI PRO works as a stroker, which is my partner’s usual routine, but with the suction, he found stroking superfluous. The stimulations are the biggest selling point of this product.
Sound Level
When we tested the noisiness, decibels never rose above 63. The website said the max would be 58 dB, so they slightly underestimated the sound level. It’s certainly noisy.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality feels a little unsteady. As I mentioned, when we first disassembled the KAI PRO, it felt breakable and complex. There are a lot of easy-to-jumble, easy-to-break components. But if you are careful and gentle in general, it won’t pose an issue.
The KAI PRO is lengthier than many penis devices we have. My partner is on board with that because who doesn’t love tip-to-base stimulation? The website included a recommended penis diameter of 1-2” under its specs, which is key because girthy folks may find it too tight.
HoneyPlayBox App
This was my second go-round with the HoneyPlayBox app, and I found it basic yet adequate. The app promises an AI companion, a newish and now-ubiquitous addition to many sex toys. I have feelings about the inescapability of AI right now, but I found their companion to be what you would expect. You can build a partner to your specs and chat with it, but not much else.
My partner doesn’t typically like using an app unless it increases functionality, so he typically relies on the buttons. If you aren’t using AI, long-distance connection, or music syncing, you may want to do the same.
Ease of Use
Is it easy to use? Reasonably. But is it fun to use? Yes. The LED display makes real-time navigation a breeze because you can quickly identify the numerical setting you’re utilizing and the current battery level. The main drawbacks to ease of use are that the assembly is fragile, it’s not fully waterproof, and you should set a timer to avoid overheating the stroker.
Versatility
KAI PRO gets high points for versatility. It offers two-way app control for long-distance connection, and you can use it hands-free. It would work for people with mild ED, if they could insert their penis inside. After insertion, the KAI PRO does the rest.
Warranty and Support
The Honey Play Box KAI PRO is covered by a one-year warranty and a seven-day satisfaction guarantee. Rip this open and ensure everything works the moment it arrives at your doorstep.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
For $220 (though right now it’s on sale for half that), this masturbator can do a lot. But it’s not quiet, and it lacks simplicity.
Review Summary
Who doesn’t love a pleasant surprise? This masturbator punches above its price class in terms of versatility, power, and ease of ejaculation. It was hands-free and the closest thing my partner has experienced to a blow job next to the real deal. Unless you can afford the Autoblow VacuGlide 2, it’s time to give the Honey Play Box KAI PRO a shot.
Pros
- Great value
- Versatile and app-compatible
- Well-suited to long-distance play
- Comes with a storage bag
- Hands-free
- Semi-realistic blowjob stimulations
Cons
- The design and build quality are not seamless
- Loud
Alternatives to the Honey Play Box KAI PRO
PDX Elite Moto Bator 2
Similar in price, stimulation, and look, the PDX Elite makes a good comparison to the KAI PRO. But the KAI PRO beats it on nearly every basis. The KAI PRO is hands-free where the PDX is not, the suction is more intuitive, and it’s app-compatible.
