Unboxing

The packaging for Lem is very discreet. It comes in a white box with pink sides, and the only branding is the word “Nancy” on the front. The Lem itself is meant to be nestled in a little cardboard crater, but it’s very easy for it to fall out and roll around the box. So, it wasn’t great for the presentation when I opened it, and the Lem was just hanging out on top of the instruction booklet.

Aside from the Lem’s desire to be free from its little cardboard crater, the packaging is adorable. In lieu of an instruction booklet, it comes with a set of cards with funky designs on one side, and various guides on the other. It even has QR codes to take you to sexy playlists you can vibe to while you…vibe. It also comes with a bag, which is much appreciated. And like the rest of the packaging, the bag is extremely discreet.

How Do I Use The Lem?

First, charge up your Lem by plugging the charging cable into the charging port.
The light behind the N button (conveniently, it’s the only button) will blink as it’s charging, then glow steadily when it’s ready for playtime.
Turn on the Lem by pressing the N button. The toy pulses a few times to indicate it’s on, but the sensation is pretty strong. So, it might be a good idea to turn it on before pressing it against your body.

My Personal Experience

Design

Overall, the Lem’s design is absolutely adorable. The lemon-theming is cute without being over-the-top, and it just looks so fun and playful—perfect for a beginner. That said, my two issues were design-related. First of all, there was the flap covering the charging port (you can see it in the image below). The flap didn’t stay put against the rest of the body and made for a really fun fidget toy. Not necessarily the kind of versatility I want in a sex toy.

My other, more serious issue is that the rim of Lem is extremely small. Not every body will fit perfectly in it, and it doesn’t come with interchangeable caps.

The Lem is made of medical-grade silicone and certainly feels silky-smooth.

Stimulations

The Lem has twelve different stimulations, eight of which are basic pulsations that increase in intensity, and four of which are patterns. It’s rare to find patterns in a suction toy; even the autopilot mode of the legendary Womanizer Next just randomly increases/decreases the speed of the pulsations. I know that not everyone likes patterns, but having those options really put this toy on the next level, as far as I’m concerned.

The site describes the intensities as ranging from “Gentle” to “Intense”, and there definitely was a big difference between the first and eighth stimulation. However, even the first setting had a bit of power to it, so if you’re super sensitive, that’s something to keep in mind.

Build Quality and Dimensions

Overall, I thought the build quality was excellent, especially for a product so cute. However, I did have an issue with the little flap that’s supposed to cover the charging port. It doesn’t fit right against the toy, so it just dangles and flaps around. I’m sure some people won’t be bothered by that, but for perfectionists (and fidgeters) like me, it’s a strike against it.

Ease of Use

The only thing that makes the Lem difficult to use is how small the opening is.
