While sex and sex toys are very personal preferences and there is no universal truth, glass toys for butt stuff come pretty close. Borosilicate glass may be the ideal material for anal toys because it’s smooth, resistant (so you feel pressure and fullness even without a lot of girth), and thoroughly cleanable.
The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is a lovely example of the above. It’s both substantial and sophisticated, but it’s also fairly beginner-friendly. It’s also versatile, and we’ll write more about that soon.
We tested the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug for a few weeks at home, and liked it just a little more each time. This little anal toy comes through consistently, and there’s a lot to be said for that. The beaded side and the plug side deliver different sensations. It’s small enough that it doesn’t require a lot of prep work, so it’s great for spontaneous sessions. Borosilicate glass adapts well to temperature changes. It will reach body temperature very quickly, and you can warm it or chill it — or just bring it into a steamy hot shower — for a special sensual treat.
Who Should Try It? The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is an excellent introduction to the world of glass anal toys. It’s beginner-friendly in both size and price, and you get to experience two different forms of stimulation. And while we recommend it for newbies, it also has plenty to offer folks who have been around this block before.
Who Can Skip It? Good things come in small packages, but if you’re a size queen, this small package will probably not be to your liking. Also, if you prefer plush or flexible toys, this isn’t it either. It’s also not well suited for folks who like to slip in a butt plug and go about their day with a little secret.
You Can Buy It on the Peep Show Toys website for $30.
What Is the Gläs 4.5” Titus Plug?
The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is a double-ended anal toy made from clear, hand-blown borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is used in laboratories and high-end kitchenware because it is shatterproof, handles temperature changes beautifully, and can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized — all of which make it perfect for a sex toy as well!
One end of the Titus is shaped like a classic tapered butt plug, and the other end has three stacked beads. The ends are joined by a wide ring that serves as a flared base for both ends. This plug is small, but the glass feels substantial.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
There’s nothing wrong with the packaging here. The box itself is midweight and, well, it does what a box is supposed to do. There’s a product photo and enough information on the exterior that you know exactly what you’re getting. The product photo is decent, the printing is professional, and there are no tacky graphics or porn scenes on the box. Again, it is absolutely adequate, but we admit that if we saw it on a store shelf, it probably wouldn’t catch our eye.
Inside the box is the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug along with a satin storage pouch, which was a pleasant surprise at this price point. It is smaller than we expected (even though we read the description — we’re not blaming the manufacturer or retailer). There are so many big and bold toys on the market these days that a toy this size was slightly shocking.

How Do I Use the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug?
The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is small and uncomplicated — no apps, no motors — but still pretty versatile! Both ends mean business, so your first step is deciding how you want to play. The beaded end is graduated, like anal beads, which means that you can treat yourself or your partner to a slow buildup. And the plug side works like your standard anal plug for prostate stimulation or just a very pleasant feeling of fullness.
Whichever end you choose, you will want to start with a generous amount of high-quality lube. Borosilicate glass is compatible with all types of lube, so you can choose standard water-based lube, silicone or hybrid lube, or oil-based lube (or body-safe, food-grade oil). For anal play, we prefer oil- or silicone-based lube since water-based can dry out quickly, but this is very much a matter of personal preference.
My Personal Experience
Design
Photos do not do justice to the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug. The lines and curves are beautifully sculpted, and the perfectly clear glass catches the light so that the beads look like crystal drops. This piece would not be out of place in a chandelier in a ballroom.
The design is thoughtful as well. The two ends, each with its own form of stimulation, are joined by a raised glass ring. That ring is wide enough to serve as a safety stopper for both ends, which makes this anal toy safe for solo use (all anal toys should have a wide or flared base to prevent them from getting “sucked in” and sending you to urgent care or the emergency department).
Material
Gläs Titus is made entirely from hand-blown borosilicate glass. It is smooth, seamless, and crystal-clear. As you should expect from a glass toy, there is no chemical smell or stickiness. Even though it’s petite, it feels heavy in the hand and provides excellent resistance when used internally.
Glass toys clean up very nicely. You can use gentle fragrance-free soap and warm water, or a specialized sex toy cleaner. Anal toys with texture (like this one has) often need extra attention because ridges tend to hold on to lube, skin cells, and other debris. The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug can take a scrubbing, but you can also soak it in soapy water or even boil it if you feel the need.
Stimulations
One side of the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is a standard butt plug with a tapered end. You can use that whenever you want to stimulate your anus and feel full. If you are a person with a vulva, having intercourse with a butt plug in place makes your vagina feel much tighter.
The other side features graduated glass globes. These function much like anal beads; start with the smallest globe and ease the plug in slowly. You will feel pops of sensation as each globe pushes past your entrance. You can then leave it in place or move it in and out slowly to enjoy more “pops.”
Glass toys are excellent for temperature play, and this plug is small enough that it will warm up or chill quickly. You can put it in the refrigerator (not the freezer; frostbite is bad) or a bowl of cold or warm water. If you are heating up the toy, make sure to test it on your inner arm before inserting it in a sensitive area.

Build Quality
The build quality here would be outstanding at any price point but almost unbelievable at this one. The finish is glossy and flawless, and there are no bubbles or other imperfections in the glass. The glass itself is even and feels heavy. All the lines and curves flow together beautifully. Glass is breakable, of course, but the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is solid and doesn’t feel fragile at all.
Ease of Use
This toy is truly beginner-friendly (of course, this shouldn’t exclude experienced folks!). There are no complicated user guides, nothing to charge up, no remote controls to find batteries for and pair, no apps to download. You just need lube and a butthole.
It’s also on the small side in both length and girth, which is another reason why we consider the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug beginner-friendly and simple to use. All bodies are different, but we think that most healthy adults should be able to use this plug easily with a little warmup and a lot of lube.
Versatility
Multitasking is a strength of the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug. Right off the bat, you get two distinctly different ends to experiment with. You can add in temperature play for extra sensation. You can also play solo or partnered, and if you or your partner has a vulva, vaginal penetration when the receiving partner has a butt plug in feels extra-tight.
Warranty and Support
Gläs provides a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects and functional failures on toys purchased directly from them. If you bought your toy from an authorized retailer, your protection will be through them. However, given the quality of the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug (and other Gläs toys we’ve seen), we don’t anticipate any issues that would require a warranty claim.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
Gläs Titus is a small toy. Yes, there are product photos. Yes, the website lists the dimensions. It’s not misleading in any way. But we were still a little surprised when we opened the box, and you may be too. Don’t get us wrong — this is still a great toy, size is not everything, and the firmness and pressure help compensate for the lack of mass, but the first impression is a tad underwhelming.
Glass can be slippery, and lube can make glass even slipperier. You need lube with an anal toy, but this can make it hard to hold it securely. You can wrap the handle in a clean, slightly rough washcloth to create a grip.
And as we mentioned, the packaging is also underwhelming. The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is excellent quality and we would be happy to receive it as a gift, but the box itself is generic enough that we wouldn’t feel proud to give it as a gift.

Alternatives to the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug
Glass anal beads and butt plugs come in lots of different shapes, sizes, and moods. If you’re sure that borosilicate glass is what you want but not as sure that the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is the one for you, we suggest:
Pipedreams Icicles No. 31
The Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug is sweet and petite, but if you’re looking for something with more intensity, Pipedreams Icicles No. 31 brings that. It’s also borosilicate glass, of course, in a deep cobalt hue. This toy has a defined curve that can target either the prostate or the G-spot, and it is heavy enough to provide substantial resistance. It’s not really beginner-friendly, so if you’re not a beginner, you may meet your match here.
Chrystalino Planets
In terms of size and shape, Chrystalino Planets is right between the Gläs Titus 4.5” Plug and Pipedreams Icicles No. 31. It features a gentle curve and graduated glass globes; you can start from either the small end or the large one, depending on what kind of stimulation you are looking for, and it can be used either anally or vaginally. This piece has a celestial feel and it’s an excellent choice for anyone wanting to explore glass toys.
I Am Sold! Where Can I Buy It?
