The package does not include water-based lube or a storage bag, but you could store it in the box if you want. Otherwise, plan on making a quick trip to the store before use.

How Do I Use the Womanizer STARLET 3?
First things first: purchase a storage bag (a makeup bag would work) to keep it in pristine shape and buy some water-based lube. If you plan to store it in the box instead, remember you will need to wash it before each use.
Then, after unboxing, use the magnetic USB recharging cable to bring the STARLET 3 to a full charge. The website suggested that the toy would last thirty minutes and then take thirty minutes to charge. When I tested the battery, it lasted just over an hour and twenty minutes on the first setting. Then it took an hour and a half to come to a full charge. When it’s charging, the LED light inside the nozzle will flash white (it should look like the image below). When finished, it stays lit.
The STARLET 3 is waterproof, so wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap, and then dry it using a lint-proof cloth. The nozzle is silicone, so grab some water-based lube and apply it around the nozzle and on your clit. Place the nozzle around your clit and turn the sucker on by pressing and holding the plus button. After the toy is on, the plus button will take you up through the six intensities, and the minus button will take you back down. To turn it off, hold the minus button down.
The device turns off automatically every ten minutes, so if it takes you longer than that to climax, you’ll have to turn it on again and find your setting. Once you’ve finished, rewash it and put it in a storage bag or box for safekeeping.

My Personal Experience
Budget clit suckers are some of my favorite devices. I prefer the lighter sensations, and many of the more affordable motors don’t reach the intense stimulation territory, which is when I often feel overstimulated. That makes budget suckers a dream combo. I’ve enjoyed the prior iterations of STARLET and was excited to see if this matched the quality.
When I tested the battery, it shut off after ten minutes. I don’t love automatic shutoff timers on sex toys, especially when there’s no way to disable them. I may be in the minority here, but I was a little shocked by the breathtakingly short estimated battery life. Luckily, when I tested it, the battery lasted longer than expected, but it also took longer than expected to charge.
A battery expectancy of thirty minutes is enough to send me into an anxiety spiral. When anyone puts a timer on my clit, it’s all I can think about. I feel rushed throughout, and instead of fantasizing, I’m ruminating about how long it has been and if I’m on track to make it in time or if it’s going to destroy my orgasm. If you get off quickly and don’t feel like rushing ruins the experience, this won’t be an issue for you. But it definitely made me feel like I had to adhere to a schedule.
I loved the lightness of the stimulations. The lightest setting would have allowed me to edge for a while, but the ten-minute automatic shutoff prevented me from lingering too long. The top setting was potent but not thuddy, so it didn’t feel too aggressive. Overall, I enjoyed hitching my wagon (clit) to this star (STARLET).
Design
One of the first things I noticed about the Womanizer STARLET 3 is that it has needlessly deep grooves around the buttons (You can see the grooves in the image below). They aren’t next to the clitoral nozzle, so they may be safely out of the splash zone. But if not, you will need a toothbrush or toothpick to get the lube out of the crevices. I’m unsure why they did that; perhaps to make the buttons easier to feel during masturbation? I’d rather have a bump than a groove, though, for easy cleaning.
Besides the groove, the design emphasis centers around lightweight plastic. It’s not opulent, but it doesn’t feel breakable, either.
Material
Womanizer knows where to skimp on a sex toy to save you money while still delivering a memorable, pleasurable experience. That’s why the clitoral nozzle (image below) is silicone, so it will feel silky and comfortable when it surrounds your clit.
The rest of the body is phthalate- and BPA-free ABS plastic. It doesn’t feel super luxurious in your hand, but your clit will be happy. Further, the plastic gets slippery if you spill lube on it, so take care to only apply a little on your clit and the nozzle to prevent the whole sucker from becoming impossible to hold onto.
Stimulations
I appreciated how gently the sensations started. The Pleasure Air Technology doesn’t start super thuddy, though the pulses feel slightly mechanical. And even at the top of the range, they aren’t overstimulating, which I loved. However, if you need a more aggressive suction, you’ll probably want to purchase a different product.
Sound Level
When it’s not on your clit, STARLET 3 can get a little noisy. I tested the decibels, and they ranged from 48 to 62. But once you position it over your clit and pull the covers over you, it’s fairly inconspicuous. But compared to the power, this feels like a louder device.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The STARLET 3 is small, which works well for travel. It’s also lightweight to the point of feeling nearly disposable, but that means your hand won’t get tired of holding it. The overall quality is significantly diminished from other Womanizer products I’ve used, but that’s why it’s available at such a reduced price point. It is larger than the STARLET Snow (You can see them side-by-side in the image below), and I enjoyed the increase in size. It’s easier to hold, and there’s a decreased chance that lube will make it all the way to the handle.
Ease of Use
Womanizer STARLET 3 is straightforward from unboxing to first orgasm. It’s IPX7 waterproof, so you can easily clean it and use it in the bathtub as well. The deep-set grooves mean that bacteria can build up over time, so use a toothbrush for deep cleaning every so often. There’s no app compatibility, so the only thing to memorize is the two-button configuration on the toy itself.
Versatility
Versatility isn’t a strong point for the STARLET 3, but that’s not its main draw anyway. The draw is the longevity and the price. It only offers clitoral suction, so if you don’t like that, this isn’t a good selection. But it’s perfect for those who want to try clitoral suction for the first time.

After reading through the website, I thought my main qualm was going to be the battery life because thirty minutes is astonishingly quick. Thankfully, the battery lasted longer than estimated, but I’m still not a fan of the automatic shutoff. After thorough testing, the only negative thing I discovered is that it feels a little cheap. If you want something lightweight, that may be a plus. And since it is so small, it’s easy to get lube on the plastic handle, which may make the clit sucker slip right out of your grasp.
