Womanizer Starlet Review 2024: A few things you NEED To Know!

Womanizer StarletFinding quality sex toys from a trusted company that doesn’t obliterate your budget can be challenging. That’s why the Womanizer Starlet is a rare find: it’s a suction device for your clitoris that’s body-safe, which you can frequently find on sale for less than $50. But does the lower price mean lower quality? Join me to find out if it’s made for you!

Key Takeaways
4 out of 5 stars

Starlet has a lower intensity than more premium Womanizer models, but it can still deliver intense orgasms as suddenly as any other suction device. It’s excellent for anyone who is sensitive or doesn’t want to break the bank. All in all, it’s a great toy for anyone who doesn’t need more intensity than most.

Who Should Try It? If you’re new to suction toys, Starlet is an excellent choice. If you love the pressure waves, you can always upgrade; but if you don’t, you won’t be disappointed that you spent a lot of money on something you don’t like. It’s also perfect for anyone looking for a travel-friendly design.

Who Can Skip It? People who already know they love clit suction will prefer buying something stronger and with more features, like Womanizer Premium 2. Further, people who want a versatile device will want more than one suction nozzle (like the Marilyn Monroe Edition) or a device that offers dual stimulation (like Womanizer Duo 2). Lastly, anyone who likes rhythms and patterns or luxury toys will want to look for more expensive toys in Womanizer’s offerings.

What Is Womanizer Starlet?

The Womanizer Starlet is a device that uses pressure waves to stimulate your clitoris. Clitoral suction toys like this one are often thought to mimic oral sex, though people debate how accurately the sensation replicates the activity.

Womaniser Starlet Snow

Though the Starlet is a budget-friendly option, it isn’t cheaply made. It has quality where it counts, in materials and design, but it lacks features the other Womanizer models have, like Smart Silence, Autopilot, and Afterglow. Its price makes it a standout, and the craftsmanship isn’t lacking.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

The unboxing of the Starlet is indeed more of an unbagging. One of the cut costs is on the packaging, which is a reasonable way to save some money.

The content of the box

The bag includes the necessary basics: a charging cable, a silicone head, and an instruction manual. It is missing a storage bag and extra-size stimulation heads, which most Womanizer toys come with. It also lacks a sample of lube, which Womanizer toys typically do not come with but other brands sometimes supply.

Features

The Womanizer Starlet has some features worth noting, including:

  • Pleasure Air Technology, which is a way to stimulate your clit with air pulses rather than friction
  • Four intensity levels

Specifications

Womanizer Starlet specifications at a glance:

  • Material: ABS plastic body and body-safe silicone head
  • Size: 3.35″ x 1.97″ x 2.36”
  • Color: White (snow)
  • Mechanism: Clitoral suction
  • Weight: 0.15 lbs

How To Use Womanizer Starlet?

  1. After charging and washing the toy, press and hold the button on its body for two seconds to turn it on. It starts in “soft mode,” according to the user manual.
  2. Spread your labia, grab your favorite water-based lube, and place it so the silicone head creates a comfortable seal around your clitoris.
  3. Then briefly click the button to cycle through the four intensity settings to find your favorite speed.
  4. Finally, don’t forget to try this on other body parts!
  5. When it’s time to turn it off, simply hold the button for two seconds again.

My Personal Experience

Introduction

There are several versions of the Starlet. The version I got is the Snow, and it only comes in white, which is on-brand for the name. It’s the same as the original Starlet. Since I’ve reviewed many Womanizer products, I know the toys from the Womanizer brand range from budget-oriented to luxurious. This small toy sacrifices a bit of high intensity for a lower price point.

I enjoyed the lower intensity levels immensely. I prefer less thuddy suction, and it made all the difference for me to have light speeds to choose from. And I find it far easier to reach orgasm when the settings run on the light side. The power does increase as you choose the higher intensity options, but not as much as other toys, like the Womanizer Premium, do.

The device charging

When I tested the battery life, it turned off every 30 minutes, probably due to a standby feature. Other Womanizer toys I’ve tried turned off after every ten, which is frustrating if you haven’t had an orgasm by then. The 30-minute standby feature was much easier for me to manage.

The manual says that the Starlet will take up to three hours to charge, and it doesn’t estimate how long it will last. The battery life was a little bit short. Once it was fully charged, it lasted one hour and twenty-two minutes on the lowest setting. If you like more intense suction, you can plan on it lasting much less than that. To charge, it took just over two hours. That’s not the best charge-to-use ratio, but if you use the lower settings to reach orgasm, it won’t make much difference.

My minor qualms above aside, this suction vibe was durable for the price and the perfect introduction to the sensation of suction for newbies, thanks to its price point and the gentle suction intensity.

Packaging

The packaging is minimal, as it should be on a budget toy. It comes in a nicely designed bag with the bare minimum to get started: a charging cord, instructions, and one suction head.

The packaging

Design

This device has a simple design, but you can tell it was made with care. This is a Womanizer clit stimulation toy, after all. However, it’s not quite as luxurious looking as some of its siblings.

Material

The material is body-safe, a vital feature to consider when buying a sex toy. However, while the toy is primarily ABS plastic, which won’t feel very luxurious, the silicone suction head will add softness around your clitoris.

Stimulations

The Snow had a little less power than some of the other Womanizer suction toys I’ve reviewed. I enjoyed the lower end of the spectrum because I tend to be pretty sensitive. If you want more intense suction, you’ll probably be better off spending the extra cash to get an upgraded version of this model.

Sound Level

The sound level is on the quiet end of the spectrum for clitoral suction toys. Bonus: it’s even less noisy once you position it correctly against your clit. The noise level didn’t bother me, even when I tried the highest setting, but it did surprise me compared with the other settings.

Build Quality and Dimensions

The build quality is similar to other Womanizer suction vibes, so you know it’s well-made.

Womanizer Starlet

The dimensions are small. It’s even slightly smaller than the travel vibrator, the Womanizer Liberty (read the full, honest Womanizer Liberty review here). It’s a good toy to bring along with you. However, a small, plastic vibe is tough to hold onto when lube makes things messy.

Ease of Use

10/10, this device is super easy to use. There’s just one button (circled below) that turns it on and off and cycles you through the settings.

Versatility

This device isn’t the most versatile one I’ve reviewed. However, it’s not meant to be. It’s intended to be easy on your wallet and let you get a taste of clit suction before investing in something with more features.

For instance, it’s not waterproof—only splashproof, so you won’t want to use this in the tub. It only comes with one size suction head (it’s missing the larger head), so it may not work for the size or shape of your clit. In the image below, you can see a closeup of the suction head.

Womaniser Starlet without the suction head

However, if you want to try an extra suction head, you can buy one from the site for around $13. And, it’s small enough to use during partnered sex as well as solo play.

Warranty and Support

This toy comes with a 5-year warranty, which is incredible, especially at this low cost.

Minor issues I found during testing:

This suction vibe has quality where it counts—in the materials used and the design. But some aspects make it evident that this is a budget option. For instance, the tiny size is excellent if you want to keep it in your purse. However, things can get slippery, and there’s not much to hold onto once it’s in use. I found it helped to have a rag nearby to wipe off excess lube and keep it somewhat dry so that you don’t lose control of it during masturbation.

In addition, the charging cord is comically short; when plugged in, it reaches 8.25 inches. Since these toys aren’t meant for use during charging, it probably won’t pose much of an issue. And I liked that it didn’t tangle with my other cords.

Finally, since this device only has four settings, there are giant jumps between settings. It starts with barely-there sensations, then goes to two solid mediums, and then jumps to intense. If you like to build up slowly, that will be tough.

Who Should Try It

If you are new to suction, this is an excellent choice. The Starlet Snow will help you learn whether you like pressure waves. If you love it, you can always upgrade; but if you don’t, you won’t be disappointed that you spent so much money on a toy that won’t work for you.

Further, it’s perfect for anyone looking for a travel-friendly design.

Who Can Skip It

People who already know they love clit suction will prefer buying something with more features and customization options. Further, people who want a versatile device will want more than one suction nozzle (as comes with most Womanizer’s toys). Lastly, anyone who likes rhythms and patterns or luxury toys will want to look for more expensive toys in Womanizer’s offerings.

Starlet Snow vs. Other Womanizer Sex Toys

Womanizer has many versions of the Starlet. Check the chart below to see which one is right for you.

Name Waterproof Intensity Levels Colors Buttons
Starlet Snow No 4 1 1
Starlet 2 Yes 4 3 2
Starlet 3 Yes 6 5 2

Womanizer Starlet 2

The Starlet Snow is the cheapest of Womanizer’s Starlet offerings, with Starlet 2 coming in second and the 3 being the most expensive.

The Womanizer Starlet 2 has the same intensity settings but is slightly bigger than the Snow, making it easier to hold onto. It has two buttons: a plus and a minus button. But it’s still easy to operate.

Neither the Starlet 2 nor the Snow has an extra silicone nozzle or a storage pouch, but the Starlet 2 is waterproof, making it more versatile and easier to clean.

Starlet 2 typically costs $10 more than the Starlet Snow.

Womanizer Starlet 3

The Starlet 3 has the most upgrades of the toys in this series. The Starlet 3 is waterproof, has six intensity levels and four more colors than the Snow (including pink, turquoise, indigo, violet, and gray), and has two buttons.

However, it’s still missing some features that many other Womanizer products come with (that’s why it’s able to stay in the budget category), including a storage pouch and an extra-size suction head.

The Womanizer Starlet 3 typically costs $10 more than the Starlet Snow.

Alternatives to the Womanizer Starlet

Satisfyer Traveler

The Satisfyer Traveler is another small, budget option. This suction device comes with a convenient travel case, keeping it clean while not in use. The Pro Traveler is made from body-safe materials but is waterproof, which is an upgrade. It also has eleven settings. You can purchase one for $60.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How To Clean Womanizer Starlet?

The Womanizer Starlet isn’t waterproof, so cleaning is trickier. To begin, remove the silicone head from the toy. Wash this in warm, soapy water, and then let dry. Wash the rest of the toy with sex toy cleaner (do not submerge it), wipe it, and allow it to dry.

Cleaning Sex Toys In The Sink

When they’re dry, you can reattach the parts, and then it is ready for use.

Is Womanizer Starlet Quiet?

Yes, it is a relatively quiet toy but a bit loud at higher intensities. When I tested it, the decibels ranged from 56 to 71, like a washing machine or dishwasher.

How To Store Womanizer Starlet?

The Womanizer Starlet doesn’t come with a storage bag, so you’ll want to place it in a makeup bag or some other type of pouch to protect it from damage and dust in between uses.

Vibrator storage boxes

How to Charge Womanizer Starlet?

Charging the Starlet was easy. However, it doesn’t have a magnetic charging cable. Plug the charging cord into the front of the toy. The light will flash during charging and remain solid when it’s finished.

Is the Packaging Discreet?

Womanizer has some of the most discreet packaging on the market. A Womanizer product always comes in a plain cardboard box, and the sender is listed as “Wow Tech.”
