The pale pink choice makes the white text on the back of the box a bit hard to read, but fortunately, everything you need to know is in the quick start user guide and safety instructions, which are much easier to read, though the text is tiny.

How To Use Womanizer Liberty?
After washing and charging the Womanizer Liberty:
- Press the plus button for two seconds to turn on the device.

My Personal Experience
What Makes Liberty Travel-Friendly?
Travel and sex toys are two of my favorite things, so I felt like this sex toy review was made for me. I was excited to see what this little toy brought to the table.
Most travel-friendly toys have a travel lock feature, which allows you to lock them so they don’t turn on if buttons get pressed on your journey. It’s perfect for staving off potentially embarrassing moments going through security, but it doesn’t help with hygiene.
The Womanizer Liberty goes a step further. While it doesn’t have a travel lock option, the case covers the buttons so they won’t get accidentally pressed while you’re in transit (image below). The cover also keeps it clean and ready for use, so you won’t have to worry about whether it was pressed against the shoes in your suitcase.
Even though I wouldn’t necessarily use this device for travel-specific masturbation, I think the cover is brilliant, and I wish more toys had it. Typically, when I use toys, I wash them before and after use since you can never be too careful when preventing bacteria from taking residence in a toy. However, since you can sanitize the case, you could wash it only once and use it next time, knowing it had been kept sterile.
In addition to the clamshell case, it has a storage pouch, so you can keep the whole thing clean while on the go. For frequent flyers, these are significant upgrades.
Packaging
It comes in a sturdy, pretty design with everything you need (except lube): the Liberty, the attachable shell, a storage bag, two sizes of suction heads, a charging cord, a #IMasturbate business card, a quick start user guide, and safety instructions (image below).
I found it funny that the Quick Start user guide is 207 pages long. Yes, it’s translated into many different languages and the paper dimensions are tiny, but still.
Womanizer has a gendered brand name—something I feel might exclude people of other genders who use the toy. But when I read the Quick Start manual, on the first page of the text, it says, “Celebrate your femininity and enjoy yourself.” I’m not a fan of the continued gender-binary crusade. Suction toys can be gender-affirming for transmasc and FTM people.
The two sizes of suction heads would also be helpful for people on T because they will be better able to find a size that fits them. With all that in the bank, it would be a shame to ward off potential customers because of thoughtless marketing!
Design
The design is attractive. Though you can tell it’s a travel toy from the plastic, it’s not overly cheap or flimsy. The seams line up nicely, and everything fits together perfectly.
However, I wish the buttons were on the outside of the toy. They’re on the inside so you can’t press the buttons when the toy is in use because they are up against your body.
Material
Liberty is primarily made of ABS plastic, but the head is still silky soft silicone. Since it’s a plastic suction device, it doesn’t feel as luxurious or durable as the other Womanizer products I’ve tried, except for the Premium Eco. In the image below, you can see the sizes of the two suction heads.
Stimulations
I was pleasantly surprised by how strong this device was. If I had been blindfolded, I wouldn’t have been able to tell the Liberty from the other, bulkier Womanizer toys like the Premium 2. Though it may seem like the small size would result in power reduction, that’s not the case.
It has a thuddy quality, almost rumbly, and it’s easy to have an intense orgasm with this device. I’ve never found that suction toys quite mimic oral sex, but the suction is a fun sensation that I think everyone should try at least once.
Sound Level
Many toys advertise that they are whisper quiet, but this one is close. It’s unbelievably quiet, so you don’t have to worry about thin hotel walls! It might be the quietest toy I own. When I measured the noise level at different intensity levels, it came out to 34-61 dB, about the same as a normal conversation.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality is excellent. The clamshell fits together well, and the toy feels well-made, although from not-as-luxurious materials.
Though Womanizer markets the Liberty as a pocket-sized vibe, if we’re being perfectly literal, it’s not. I wear women’s clothes which don’t typically have large pockets, and this wouldn’t fit in anything except my purse and jacket, which have larger pockets. If you want something you can carry around in your pocket, you might want to measure to ensure the dimensions will cut it.
Ease of Use
This device is easy to use. It has only two buttons, a plus and a minus, so you won’t feel like you’re playing Simon just to get to your favorite setting. Press and hold the plus button for two seconds until it turns on, then use the plus button to increase the intensity and the minus button to decrease it. Press and hold the plus button for two seconds to turn it off.
The only thing that would have made this toy easier to use is if the controls were on the outside of the toy so that you don’t have to discontinue the suction every time you want to alter the intensity.
Versatility
Scores for versatility and ease of use are typically at odds with each other, which is true for Liberty. It isn’t the most versatile toy. It is a one-trick pony—clitoral suction—and you won’t have much fun if you don’t love that trick.
Aside from being solely a suction toy, the Liberty doesn’t have patterns or rhythms. Unless you like consistent vibration (which I do), you will be disappointed.
However, the Liberty gets a few points for being waterproof and small enough to use during sex or solo play. The noise level is quiet enough that it is unobtrusive for use with a partner during PIV sex (penis in vagina) and equally as fun for solo use.
Warranty and Support
Womanizer offers a 5-year warranty on the Liberty—you probably won’t find a better warranty than that!
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
It’s important to note that just because the air pulses don’t directly touch your clit, the stimulation can still sometimes feel like it’s too much, especially if your clit is sensitive. I am sensitive and most comfortable using toys like this underwater. They are so good at what they do that they rip orgasms from you quickly! So it’s not the ideal device for someone who likes to masturbate at a slow pace.
One of the changes I don’t think was strictly necessary was the size. However, even though I travel relatively lightly, I’ve never packed my suitcase so tightly that four more inches of sex toy would not fit inside it. So, I think the fact that this is small doesn’t necessarily make it more likely that I would travel with it. I’ve never left a sex toy behind because of the size, though I do tend to use smaller toys. The fact that it is a few inches shorter than the original Premium wouldn’t make a difference to me, but it may be for to those who travel long-term and have to pack their suitcase tight.
Further, the smaller size made it somewhat tougher to hold. You can picture it: your hands are lubed up from putting lube on yourself and the suction vibe, plus the Liberty is plastic, so everything is quite slippery. The shorter handle can mean it’s tough to hold onto, but overall it wasn’t a big problem.

The Womanizer Duo 2 is a luxury rabbit vibe, with clitoral suction for external stimulation and G spot vibration for internal stimulation. The manual doesn’t estimate how long the battery will take to charge. When I tested it, it took about one hour and thirty minutes to fully charge. The manual did say the Womanizer Liberty toy would last up to two hours. When I tried it on the lowest setting, it lasted one hour and twenty-three minutes, less than the manual suggested.
How Do I Know When the Womanizer Liberty Is Fully Charged?
