Satisfyer Sassy SealThe Sassy Seal is a clitoral vibe with dual motors and dual functions. Is this a seal you’ll want to frolic with in the ocean waves, or is using it about as much fun as watching The Seventh Seal?

Read my review of the Satisfyer Sassy Seal to find out.

Key Takeaways
4 out of 5 stars

Much more fun and exciting than a chess game with death personified (okay, maybe not a high bar, but I had to fit in one more Seventh Seal joke), the Satisfyer Sassy Seal is a great clitoral vibe that uses both air pulses and vibrations to get you going. While I liked Satisfyer’s Cutie Ghost toy, I found the slight design changes on the Sassy Seal made it even more, well, satisfying. The more protruding lip made the overall experience a lot better as far as I was concerned, and the combination of air pulses and vibes (not to mention the ability to control the strength/patterns of both) left me quite breathless.

Who Should Try It? If you’re new to the world of clitoral stimulation, the Sassy Seal might be a great way to start. With its air pulses and vibrations that can be used independently, you can use it to really discover what you like. The sensations go from super subtle to quite overwhelming, and it has a 15-year warranty, so it’s a vibrator that will last you well past your beginner stage.

Who Can Skip It? If you know you prefer either air pulse toys or vibrators, it might be a better idea to invest in a dedicated toy. While the Sassy Seal is great when it comes to the dual sensations, if there’s one you strongly prefer, it might not be worth it.

You Can Buy It on the official Satisfyer website for $64.

What Is The Satisfyer Sassy Seal?

The Sassy Seal is a clitoral vibe with dual motors that control its separate functions: air pulses and vibrations. The two types of stimulation can be used separately or in tandem, creating an overwhelmingly intense sensation, all wrapped up in an adorable design.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

While the packaging is fine (if a little uninspired) I really didn’t like the fact that the instruction manual and the charging cable were both wrapped in plastic.

The content of the box

I’ll be the first to admit I can be a bit nitpicky about the wording used on product packaging, and the phrasing of the Sassy Seal box did not escape my notice. On the top right of the box it says “Air Pulse”, then on the bottom left, it says “+vibration +silicone”. And on the very bottom, it says, “Cute and playful design. Double air pulse vibrator”. Huh? I get what they’re going for, but the toy doesn’t have two air pulses, whatever that means. Surely there was a better way of conveying that this is a product that offers both air pulses and vibrations and is made of silicone. How about “Silicone toy with air pulses and vibrations”? Simple. Their phrasing isn’t bad enough for me to call it out for being misleading, it’s just a bit confusing.

How Do I Use The Satisfyer Sassy Seal?

  1. First, charge up your seal with the included charging cable. A flashing light will indicate that the toy is charging, and will glow steadily when the toy is ready for some aquatic antics.
  2. With sex toys that rely on air suction or pulsations, it’s always helpful to put some water-based lube around the perimeter of the “lip” so that it surrounds your clitoris and stays sealed (pun intended). The sensation definitely won’t be the same if air is allowed to escape.
  3. To use the air pulses, long press the power (middle) button on the seal’s body. To increase the intensity, continue pressing the power button, and to decrease the intensity, press the bottom button with the double lines. Long hold the power button when you’re done with the air pulses.
  4. To use the vibration modes, either separately or along with the pulsations, long press the top button that looks like a sideways S. Continue pressing that button to cycle through the vibration modes. Long hold the top button again to turn off the vibrations.

My Personal Experience

Design

Overall, I preferred the design of Sassy Seal to the Cutie Ghost. I know they look nearly identical, but one of my complaints about the Cutie Ghost was that the lip was too flat against the rest of the body. Well, the Sassy Seal has just the kind of lip I like. It is much more raised, and I was easily able to get it where it needed to go and for it to stay there. It stayed pressed against me much better, making both types of sensation more intense.

Satisfyer Sassy Seal

While the shape makes it impossible for vibrations not to travel to your hand while holding it, I found it bothered me less than it did with the Cutie Ghost.

I also appreciate the fact that it is indeed a Sassy Seal, not a Sassy Sea Lion. In case you didn’t know: seals are the ones with the tiny flippers and sea lions are the ones who can use their flippers as little legs.

The suction mouth

Material

The Sassy Seal is made of appropriately slippery, smooth silicone that feels great against the hand (and even better against other places).

Stimulations

The Sassy Seal has 11 intensities for the pulsations and 12 modes for the vibrations (5 regular vibrations that increase in speed, and 7 patterns). I really appreciated how much the intensities of the pulsations varied, starting super soft and becoming very powerful. Even more than that, I appreciated just how customizable this toy is, with so many different pulsation/vibration combinations to try. While it would be nice to be able to control the strength of the vibration patterns, that might have made the button system too complicated, so I can see why they didn’t make that an option.

The charging port

Sound Level

This toy was extremely quiet, especially when just using the air pressure waves.

Build Quality and Dimensions

At 3.9″x 2.12″ x 2.6″, Sassy Seal fit perfectly in my hand. Not too big, not too small—this size toy is my favorite. While I’m sure the quality is the same, the Sassy Seal didn’t have the slight silicone imperfections of the Cutie Ghost, and therefore seemed that much better made. I’ve tried my share of cute toys that seem like they were intended as one-time (if that) use gag gifts, but The Sassy Seal feels like a high quality product. And with their 15-year guarantee, Satisfyer obviously thinks so, too.

The device charging

Ease of Use

The button system is not exactly intuitive, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to use while keeping the toy right where it needs to be (a very important feature in a toy that uses air pulses).

Another thing I liked about the design that made it easier to use is how much the lip stuck out from the rest of the toy. When a toy just has a hole in the middle of it, I find it hard to get it right where it needs to be. But when it has a protruding lip, it’s much easier placing and holding it in the right spot. Though obviously that’s one of those design choices that people are going to have differing opinions on.

The control buttons

Versatility

Sassy Seal is very versatile since you can just use the air pulsations, just use the vibrations, or use both at the same time and have the ability to control the intensity and/or patterns.

This Sassy Seal is also appropriately waterproof.

Warranty and Support

The Sassy Seal has an impressive 15-year warranty.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

While I did appreciate the vibrations on Sassy Seal, I found that they traveled to my hand more than my clit. With a toy of this size and shape, that’s unavoidable, but since the vibrations aren’t designed to touch your clit directly, and therefore aren’t super strong, the discrepancy was even more noticeable.

Alternatives to the Sassy Seal

The Strawberry Emojibator

If you like the idea of a dual-function toy that looks cute and will show your clit all kinds of love, then the Strawberry Emojibator might be for you. Like the Sassy Seal, it has a suction component and a vibration component, but they can’t be used at the same time. The downside is that the experience is less intense, the upside is that the vibration function is more pleasurable.

Kitty Magic Wand

If traditional vibes just don’t do it for your clit, and if you want to show some love to other erogenous zones, give the Kitty Magic Wand a try. The tapping paw on one end provides clitoral stimulation that is different from your average vibe, but requires less finicky placement than a suction toy. On the other end is a vibrating dildo.

I am Sold! Where Can I Buy It?

You can get your own dual vibrator from Satisfyer for $44.77.
