The Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler is a sex machine for clits. It has vibration and tapping (which feels a little like thuddy air pulses) and can be used for analog grinding, too. It’s shaped like a mini saddle, and it is both comfortable and flexible.
Is it worth the $125 price tag? Let’s get ready to rumble and find out the answer to this question in my Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler review!
If you love the power sex machines provide but never use the internal stimulation settings, this is made for you. Anyone who wants something truly hands-free will find this easy to use. The versatility is incredible, and it’s well worth the expense for clit-havers who love to grind.
Who Should Try It? This is one of the most excellent hands-free clitoral stimulators I’ve used. It’s perfect for anyone who loves vibrations or intense suction, wants a portable sex machine, and doesn’t like anything realistic or internal.
Who Can Skip It? If you don’t have a vulva and neither does your partner, this isn’t worth the money. And anyone with a vulva who needs penetration to get off will not be into this ride.
You Can Buy It on the official Cowgirl website for $125.

What Is the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler?
The Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler is a sex machine that centers around the all-powerful clitoris. No internal stimulation here, just grinding, vibration, and tapping. In other words, it’s the thing that dreams are made of, specifically wet dreams. It’s splash-proof, so it’s easy to clean. It’s flexible, durable, and doesn’t slip on hard surfaces. It works well for solo play and partnered sex, and the power is abundant.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
As you can see in the image below, the box the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler comes in is gorgeous, which is unheard of in the world of sex machines. These devices typically run so large that they arrive as parts wrapped in plastic, shipped rather unceremoniously in a cardboard box. They often come looking like a project rather than a sexy adventure. This one is smaller, so it can be and is giftable AF. The box appears high-end and is sturdy enough to save for storage.
On top of that, the shipping is discreet, meaning you can expect a plain brown box to arrive at your doorstep. The return label comes from COTR, so your privacy is kept intact unless your nosy neighbors happen to Google that acronym.
Here’s what comes inside:
- The sex machine
- USB recharging cable
- User manual
- Wireless remote control
- Ten total vibration and tapping modes (five for vibration, five for tapping)
Features
The Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler has features that will get you ready to rumble, including:

- Rechargeable wireless remote control
- Anti-slip gripping base

How Do I Use the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler?
Unbox the device and then charge it. The Cowgirl website suggested that the Rodeo Rumbler would take two hours to charge and then last for one hour. With most sex toys, this is not an ideal ratio, but for a sex machine, it’s perfection. When I tested it, it lasted an hour and forty minutes with both stimulations running on the first setting, and then took under ninety minutes to fully charge. Both motors died at the same time.
It comes with a magnetic charging cable, and the LED will flash white during charging. Once this vibrating sex machine has finished charging, the light will remain on and white. The remote control is also rechargeable. When plugged in, it lights up red and turns green when fully charged (it should look like the image below).
Since the Rodeo Rumbler is rated IPX6 waterproof, you can wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap or a sex toy cleaner if you prefer. But don’t submerge this sex machine, since it’s only splashproof. Next, grab water-based lubricant if you’d like a slipperier, smoother ride. Avoid silicone lubricant at all costs, as this will erode the body-safe finish you spent all that money on!
Use the power button to turn it on by holding it for a couple of seconds. Now, you can operate the functions independently. The power button cycles through the five tapping modes, and the other button cycles through the five vibration modes. Wash after use, and store in the box it came in or another storage bag.

My Personal Experience
I have had the unique pleasure of trying all types of sex machines: thrusters, vibrators, grinders, and ejaculators. But I had never experienced something marketed as a tapping sex machine before. I was beyond curious. I tried both stimulations, the tapping and the vibrating. The tapping was reminiscent of the suction toys I’ve used in the past. It has a thudding quality that is staunch and relentless. It was so intense that I could only enjoy it mid-masturbation, but when I tried it at the right moment, it was exquisite.
After I took the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler out of the packaging, I wasn’t exactly sure where to start. Do I put it on the bed, supported by a pillow, and start grinding? Set it on a chair and straddle it? Put it on the ground and ride off into the sunset? The truth was that it flourished in all these settings. I enjoyed the vibrations most when it was up against something hard, like our hardwood floors. On the bed, the mattress absorbed some of the vibrations. But it felt great anyway; I just cranked up that power. On the floor, the lack of height was an issue for my occasionally inflexible hips. You may want to prop it up on something like a stool, unless you’re good at those froggy yoga positions. Whatever you prop it up on will have to be slim enough to fit between your legs.
This mini saddle isn’t big enough for two people to use at once, but it’s the perfect size to slip between your legs during partnered sex. Against the mattress is easier, though, since there won’t be anything to block you from penetration. I found myself most often reaching for the vibration because it’s my favorite, and I noticed that the buttons were behind me. When I used the tapping, the buttons were in front of me. It wasn’t easy to locate the buttons when using the vibration, so I used the remote control instead. I tried once, reaching around me and attempting to turn up the vibes, but by accident, I pressed the tapping button. Then, I tried to turn the tapping off, which turns everything off. I think overall, the machine itself could have used one more button to avoid this minor inconvenience. And it would have been nice if the vibrating button was in front when you’re using the vibrations, and the tapping button was in front when you’re using the tapping. Yet, overall, that was a super minor inconvenience.
The Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler doesn’t strike me as a sex machine because it’s so portable and unobtrusive. And yet I’m reminded that it’s very much a sex machine when using the jaw-droppingly powerful vibration. I guess I’ve been burned before by high-maintenance thrusters. But I can’t imagine a scenario in which I’m engaged in doggy style with my partner that I won’t be tempted to grab the Rodeo Rumbler and throw her beneath me to make the evening more magical. It works well on a mattress, and the noise isn’t distracting. This device is not a scene stealer, where it can’t be ignored due to its size, speed, noise, etc. It’s more like an ultra-powerful vibe that you could use nightly. It’s less hassle than a wand. Am I gushing? I’m gushing. When sex machines are made by women, you can feel the difference.
Am I the newest Cowgirl devotee? You betcha. I love finding a new company to fangirl over.
Design
The design is surprisingly flexible for a sex machine, and it feels more stable, durable, and portable than any other sex machine I’ve tried. It’s sleek, bendable, and has a no-slip surface on the bottom (image above).
One unique design choice is that the charging port is on the bottom of the vibrator. When you’re done using it, you flip it over and use the magnetic charging cable to charge it. As you can see in the image below, it doesn’t sit flat this way, due to the humps on the top, and the magnetic pull is light, so it can easily become unplugged unless positioned securely. The LED light is on the front of the Rumbler, so there’s no easy way to plug it in and see if it’s still charging. It’s not a hassle, just something to keep in mind if it’s not turning on; chances are, it came unplugged in the position in which it was charging.
A super thoughtful design touch is that both the Rodeo Rumbler and the remote control use the same magnetic charging cord, and both are rechargeable! No batteries needed.
Another design choice I loved? The button for the clitoral tapping mimics the shape of the clitoral tapper itself. If you forget which sensation corresponds with which button, you can glance at the machine instead of referencing the manual or using trial and error. It’s minor, but it’s clever.
When you press the on button to turn the sex machine on, the LED light is under your finger on that very button, so it can be a little tricky to know precisely when it is in standby mode, unless you have translucent fingers.
When you use the tapping feature, the buttons are right in front of you. If you’re using the vibrations, the buttons are behind you, so it’s essential to use the remote control.
Material
The materials are luxe, sturdy, and soft. The blend of ABS plastic and silicone makes for a lavish ride (literally). Plus, it’s waterproof IPX6, making it splash-proof but not submersible. Think of it as an umbrella, not a wetsuit.
Stimulations
The stimulations cover a lot of ground. The tapping is intense, and the vibration starts on the lighter side and grows into a satisfying rumble. There’s a little something for everyone on this spectrum. With a name like Rodeo Rumbler, users will be expecting that deep rumble. And it delivers.
The tapping stimulation felt eerily similar to some of the thuddier suction toys I’ve used. If you’ve tried a clit suction device that uses air pulses and loved it, this sex machine will likely drive you wild. I enjoyed the vibration settings the most, because I am a basic b. The tapping sensation, even on the lowest setting, was somewhat intense for me. But the vibrations were thrilling. Further, you don’t need to use the motor at all. This sex machine is thin and gives you a hump to grind against, if that’s all you need and want.
Sound Level
The website promised that this sex machine wouldn’t rumble over 68 decibels. When I tested it, the decibels ranged from 46 to 60.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality was smaller than I expected for a sex machine, yet much sleeker and sturdier. So many sex machines aren’t very sturdy, topple when used on a mattress, or rock around during use on a hardwood floor. But the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler didn’t fall prey to any of these hazards. It’s slightly flexible, which is key if you’re using it somewhere that isn’t totally flat, like a mattress. It’s also textured on the bottom, so it doesn’t slide around if you are using it on a hard surface.
The dimensions also make it distinctively portable. I wouldn’t hesitate to throw this into a protective storage bag and then into my suitcase. It’s relatively flat and wouldn’t take much space at all (You can see how the dimensions compare to some of my other sex machines in the image above).
Ease of Use
It’s always going to take a little longer to know how to work a sex machine, but the Rodeo Rumbler was remarkably straightforward. The device itself has two buttons, and the remote control has three. Both are easy to figure out; it’s only the position of the buttons that gave me pause. Overall, this is one of the most low-maintenance sex machines I have tested.
Versatility
Goodness gracious, is this thing versatile. It’s the most versatile sex machine I’ve used in this price range. This vibrating, tapping, all-in-one device is not just fun for solo grinding; it’s perfect for partnered sex. You can use it in doggy-style, supported by a pillow, and it works like a dream. And the remote control is handy because you can hand off control to your partner mid-sesh if you want to.
Warranty and Support
Cowgirl covers the Rodeo Rumbler with a one-year warranty that protects against defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty is standard, but remember to keep your proof of purchase and register the product as soon as you receive it.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
I’ve used vibrators that were more expensive and less discreet and versatile than this one for the same price. The price is not a disadvantage; compared with the rest of the sex machine market, it’s a steal. The only thing I would change is the placement of the buttons, since they are in front of you with one sensation and behind you with the other. I would add one more button, too, because when you turn off the tapping sensation, the entire device powers down.
Review Summary
Pros
- The sex machine and remote control are rechargeable
- Dual stimulations are separately controllable
- Hands-free sensations
- Flexible, durable materials and design
- Excellent value for the price
Cons
- Needs one more button for ease of use
- Buttons could be placed a little more intuitively
Alternatives to the Cowgirl Rodeo Rumbler
Cowgirl Cone
The Cowgirl Cone is one of my other fave sex machines, and it is significantly more gender inclusive than the Rodeo Rumbler. The Cone provides P-spot pleasure, vibration, and internal stimulation, whereas the Rumbler offers vibration and tapping only. It’s for clits and clits alone! The Cone is also app-compatible, making it hands-free as well. If you want the extra versatility, it may be worth the over double price ($350).
You can read my full review of the Cowgirl Cone here.
Motorbunny Buck
The only other sex machine I’ve tried that excels at clitoral vibration is the Motorbunny Buck. It vibrates at the most potent level I’ve ever experienced. It is mind-blowing. And it is otherworldly. The Motorbunny Buck saddle vibrator also does a lot of other things, including thrusting, gamification, and doggy-style. It’s the most versatile, but it’s also the most expensive by several orders of magnitude. You can grab one for around $1500.
