Motorbunny Buck Review 2024: Enough Bang for Your Buck?

Motorbunny Buck

Until a month ago, I had never in my life tried a vibrating saddle machine and I had several questions before testing my Motorbunny Buck, like: would it be too rough for sensitive clits? Is it suitable for solo use? How hard would it be to assemble? And who spends $1,500 on a sex toy? I was ready to find out!

Key Takeaways
4.4 out of 5 stars

I was pleasantly surprised by how powerful Buck is and how well it works for people in long-distance relationships, solo play, those with certain disabilities, cammers, and orgy hosts. It’s an excellent sex machine for any gender who likes internal or vibrating stimulations.

Who Should Try It? Orgy hosts should buy a Motorbunny so they’re never caught empty-handed (or empty-saddled, rather) when the dinner party devolves into debauchery. People who have trouble with grip strength or other mobility issues would benefit from hands-free thrusting. I also recommend long-distance couples who have tried everything else should invest in this beast.

Who Can Skip It? The price alone puts this device out of reach for many. If you’re short on cash, I recommend checking out Velvet Thruster Mini Teddy, a more affordable sex machine option. Also, if you have sensitive neighbors, it’s not for you. They will hear it, and they will have questions!

You Can Buy It on the official Motorbunny website for $1,549.

What Is The Motorbunny Buck?

Motorbunny is a company that sells two main products: the Motorbunny Original and the Motorbunny Buck. Both are ride-on-top saddle vibrators that fall on the jaw-dropping side of the price spectrum. In my review, I was hoping their features would be jaw-dropping as well.

Motorbunny Buck with all the accessories

From the outset, I knew that the Motorbunny Buck would indeed be begging to be the center of attention at the next orgy. But I wondered if it would replace the tried-and-true toys in my nightstand. For the price, anyone who buys this will probably want to get a lot of use out of it.

First Impressions & Features

The differences between Buck and the original models are the silicone attachments (instead of TPE), a right-angle wedge to put it in a doggy position, and the thrusting feature. Strangely, the company lowered the warranty period from five years to only one year.

Motorbunny Buck features at a glance:

  • Material: Silicone
  • Size: 10″ H x 13.24″ W x 12.49″ L
  • Color: Black
  • Mechanism: G spot thruster and saddle vibrator
  • Weight: 17.8 lbs
  • Durability: Two people or 1000 lbs

Packaging

When the Motorbunny Buck arrived at my door, it was discreetly enclosed in a cardboard box. But that was it. There was no packaging to speak of. After I opened the cardboard box, there was another cardboard box that enclosed the toy inside. So, it’s not very giftable based on presentation. But who gives $1,500 gifts, anyway?

Material

The Motorbunny Buck standard kit attachments are made of silicone, which is non-porous, body-safe, and silky soft. But if you get the Vac-U-Lock bundle, the Doc Johnson dildos are made of UltraSkyn/TPE, a more porous material.

So, if you pick up a Motorbunny Vac-U-Lock bundle, you will want to keep an eye on the attachments and look for any signs of wear and tear or odor.

The device in doggystyle position

Lastly, if you’re using the Vac-U-Lock bundle attachments, store them separately from your other sex toys. Since TPE is porous, it can leach onto other materials, which will degrade them and make them potentially toxic. You’ll also want to store the Doc Johnson dildos separately from each other since TPE toys will eventually melt together.

Dimensions

At 10″ x 13.24″ x 12.49″, this thing is enormous. It’s large and heavy. And it won’t fit in your nightstand; it may barely fit in your closet. Be prepared to make some space for this thing.

Design

The body  is shaped like a tortoise, but fortunately, it rides like a hare. Further, the body is sturdy, which is necessary when riding on top of a saddle vibrator. It’s also somewhat heavy, and the warranty won’t help if you drop it. So, handle it with care.

The remote control

On the front and back of the body are two metal eyelets each. This small detail is of particular note to the kink community, as it makes attaching restraints to the Motorbunny a breeze. Handcuffs, ankle cuffs, nipple clamps, or a collar would pair well with this machine.

Cam Integration

You can set up the Buck for integration with Chaturbate, a popular camming site. By setting up certain tip levels, you can allow members of the audience to control the machine from their phones by sending them a specific link to use. This feature is a fun way for sex workers to involve their audience more interactively and incentivize tipping.

Attachments

The first attachment is a nearly flat surface with a small bump, meant to be used with the buzz feature only. Then, there are two sizes of dildos, a medium and a large, that you can use with both the buzz and the buck options on the control. Two motion toggles are included: a thrust and a G-thrust. The thrust is a small attachment that you screw into the top opening. When you place a dildo on top and turn on “buck,” the dildo pulses straight up and down. The G-thrust has a wider base that you screw into the opening. When you attach a dildo on top, it pulses up and forward, making it easy to find a pleasurable angle.

Lastly, it comes with a right-angle wedge that allows you to put the Buck on its side so that it thrusts forward rather than up, allowing riders to lie on their backs.

If you get the Vac-U-Lock bundle rather than the standard kit, it will come with a Vac-U-Lock adapter, two dildo attachments, and powder, giving you even more options to play with. And there are many more attachments for sale.

You can see photos of all the attachments below:

Accessories

Aside from their attachments, Motorbunny also sells accessories, including a “Chic n’ Sheer Kimono” and “Asshopper Booty Shorts.” On the more practical side, they sell the Easy Rider Freedom Sling,  a type of seat that fits over the Buck so that you can stretch out your legs. It also has handlebars to help with balance. This attachment would make the Buck even handier for folks with disabilities or anyone who doesn’t want to sit on their knees for extended periods. The sling works for intercourse without the Motorbunny and would make the cowgirl position much more comfortable for anyone with joint pain.

Warranty and Support

Motorbunny offers a one-year parts and labor warranty. After the warranty ends, they offer $100 for repairs.

However, they also say that if anything goes wrong (preferably within 45 days of receipt), you can send the toy back, and you will get a refund minus a $199 inspection fee.

Cleaning

Motorbunny advises using warm antibacterial soap and water or a sex toy cleaner to clean the attachments.

The Doc Johnson dildos will be more challenging to clean since they are made from TPE. For more information about cleaning porous materials, please check out this sex toy cleaning guide.

How To Use Motorbunny Buck?

When you start putting this thing together, the guide says to allow an hour for assembly and familiarization. So, please don’t wait until an orgasm emergency to begin assembling the Motorbunny Buck. Once it’s assembled, only use water-based lube on the attachments.

The Buck isn’t rechargeable. And you plug it directly into the wall via an AC/DC adaptor. It also has a travel adaptor that would be necessary for anyone using this outside of North America.

As far as power, it has 0.08 horsepower. For a sex toy, that’s plenty. The cord is long, which is crucial since using this near a wall wouldn’t necessarily be feasible.

The sex machine with the app and remote

Once you assemble the toy, the controls are very intuitive. There are two knobs on the Motorbunny Buck controller: buck and buzz.

  • The buck knob will turn up the intensity of the thrusting. Depending on whether you used the G-thrust toggle or the thrust toggle, the attachment will either go straight up and down or forward and back at a diagonal angle.
  • A separate knob controls the buzz, which is nice.

Customizing the experience is crucial with a toy this strong! The one drawback is there aren’t any preset rhythms you can use with the controls. If you want a pattern, you must manipulate the knobs constantly throughout, which is tedious indeed.

How To Control It Using The App?

The app is also relatively easy to use. You set up an account and then select to pair your account with the nearest Motorbunny Buck using the “search” feature that pops up automatically. The app icon reads “MB Link,” so it’s pretty discreet.

Screenshots from the smartphone app

  • The app defaults to the “control” screen, which operates like the actual controls. You can turn up the buzz and buck separately. As with the manual controls, the dials go up to 11 rather than 10, which is appropriate due to how powerful this sex toy is.
  • The next screen allows you to draw. You can select buzz or buck and then use your fingers to manipulate the intensity. If you like the pattern you came up with, you can save it and reuse it at another time. Weirdly, when I used the app, no matter how small I drew the intensity on the buzz, it seemed to go up to the maximum power on the toy. There was no way to keep it at a low level of sensation. It followed the patterns correctly but didn’t seem to gauge how much power to use precisely. You can go into the settings to set the maximum capacity for the session, but even that didn’t lower the intensity.
  • The “routines” option allows you to choose preset rhythms for the buzz and the buck, and you can pair them together to find which you like the best. There are ten presets for buzz and ten for buck, so the combinations are almost endless. Since they have rhythmic presets on the app, it would have been nice to include a button on the controls to access these rhythms. But if you want to try them, you’ll have to download the app.
  • Next, you can set up the Motorbunny for auditory control using the music option. The music option lets you sync playlists, artists, albums, and songs to the Motorbunny for a multi-sensory experience. You can also use the microphone so the Motorbunny intensifies according to sounds within the room, like your partner’s voice.
  • The last option on the app is “online,” which you’ll use if you want to operate the Motorbunny remotely with a long-distance partner.

The settings in the app offer additional ways to use the Motorbunny. You can set up an API key to pair it with different games and apps, or you can even add Siri shortcuts to make the toy easier to use.

There’s also a secondary app that you can pair with this thrusting sex machine called Fappy Bunny. It’s a game you play on your phone where a bunny flies through the air whenever you tap it, and you can’t let the bunny hit the ground or the maze of Mario-like pipes. When you make a mistake, Buck goes to the most intense vibration and stops altogether. The higher you keep the bunny flying, the higher the intensity of the vibrations. It’s not a game of intellect or strategy, but it’s truly fun.

My Personal Experience

Assembly

Before I started my Motorbunny Buck review, I was a little nervous about the setup. I’m not even good at putting simple furniture from IKEA together, and this is by far the most complicated sex toy I’ve ever used. However, the instruction manual was straightforward, and it came together without me having a meltdown.

Stimulations

Further, I tend to find toys marketed as “extremely powerful” or “turned up to 11” intimidating and occasionally painful. I was a bit concerned that, while many others may love the intense, rumbly vibration, the Motorbunny Buck would be too much for me.

But when I tried it out, it allayed my fears. Though the Buck is teeming with power, it also has a good lower range of buzz and buck intensities that will help accommodate a wider variety of clits and G spots. Even on lower intensity vibration settings, the Buck is potent and works quickly. And the vibrations are somehow both rumbly and buzzy at the same time. This is the kind of toy that will make you numb with extended use. Bonus: I had no pain or stiffness in my knees when I tried it.

The thrust and G-thrust settings are particularly powerful. I tried them only on the lowest setting and found plenty of stimulation. And I can’t imagine this toy leaving users of any kind wishing for more power.

Sound Level

I’ve mentioned how loud other sex toys were in prior reviews, but nothing compares to the noise of this toy. The buck setting is much quieter than the buzz, but both are loud. It’s like having an entire construction site coupled with a rocket launch riding on a freight train between your legs.

It’s not just your neighbors that will hear you—it’s your neighbor’s neighbors. Anyone who lives in your house will know exactly what you’re up to, even on the lowest settings. The only way it could be less discreet would be if it included a function that texted all the contacts on your phone to let them know you’re masturbating.

Ease Of Use

The first time I used it, the Buck didn’t turn on immediately. It has a “self-protect mode” that will turn off the sex toy if you put all your weight on it at the lowest setting. The trick is to hover above it until you get it started and then sit down.

I also used the right-angle wedge, which allows the user to lie on their back or get on all fours. This attachment would be great for folks with disabilities who have trouble with grip or balance. It felt sturdy and never tipped.

Interactive Content

To my surprise, my absolute favorite feature was the game. I’m not much of a gamer but adding gamification to a sex toy was genius. It’s a good reminder that sex is supposed to be fun, surprising, and whimsical—not efficient and task-oriented. I was also startled to realize that you can set the maximum buzz with the game to a lower setting than 11. Though this didn’t work for me with the primary Motorbunny app, it worked fine with FappyBunny. I could keep the vibrations mercifully low so I could play the game for longer.

I was pleasantly surprised by how adaptable this toy is and how well it could work for people in long-distance relationships, those with certain disabilities, partners with ED, cammers, and orgy hosts. It’s a great sex toy for people of any gender who like internal or vibrating stimulation.

However, I don’t think it will replace the typical cast of characters in my nightstand, but that’s only because of the amount of setup it takes to get it ready for use. But I think I’ll get a lot of use out of the Motorbunny Buck—even if my next orgy is not yet on the calendar.

Pros:

  • Extremely versatile
  • Great long-distance sex toy
  • Appeals to people of any gender
  • Fun for orgies
  • The gamification feature is entertaining
  • Three silicone attachments
  • It can sync to music
  • You can add Siri shortcuts for convenience
  • Sturdy
  • Helpful for people with specific disabilities
  • Easy camming integration

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Large and hard to hide
  • Significant learning curve before use
  • Super loud
  • Not travel friendly

Who Should Try It

Orgy hosts of all kinds should get a Motorbunny so they’re never caught empty-handed (or empty-saddled, rather) when a dinner party inevitably devolves into total debauchery. People who have trouble with grip or other disabilities would benefit from the hands-free thrusting machine you can position in several ways. Folks in long-distance relationships who have a taste for the dramatic sort of sex toys will also want to invest in this beast.

Who Can Skip It

If you don’t have the money for this toy, you can indeed find cheaper options that will work as decent substitutes. Also, if you have irritable neighbors, this toy is not for you. They will hear it, and they will have questions.

Alternatives to the Motorbunny Buck

The Sybian

The Sybian might have the most name recognition in the world of saddle vibrators. It shares a lot of functionality with Motorbunny, but one of the critical differences is the price: the Sybian costs $1,245 while the Buck costs $1,549. The Motorbunny products have an option to pay in installments, which is helpful for those on a budget. The Sybian does not have the same flexibility.

The Sybian’s attachments come in two different flesh tones: beige or chocolate—and they also come in purple. I do appreciate it when companies have more skin tones represented than just the pale kind. The Sybian doesn’t come with metal eyelets, so anyone into BDSM will want to choose the Motorbunny.

The Sybian comes with a 5-year warranty compared to the Buck’s one-year, and you can buy a lifetime warranty from Sybian for an extra $200.

The Cowgirl Premium Sex Machine

The Cowgirl is another Buck competitor. It only costs $1,200, a few hundred less than the Buck but it doesn’t come with a game, but it does have an app for remote control. The Cowgirl only comes with two attachments: a vibration-only attachment for grinding on and an insertable attachment. So, if you want more options, you’ll have to buy other attachments.

However, the Motorbunny comes with more options for customization, so anyone looking for a wide range of experiences will likely want to spend the extra cash.
