Dame Eva Couples Vibrator Review 2024: Orgasms 4-Eva!

Dame Eva iiDame Products wants to make sex more enjoyable for women—especially heterosexual women, for whom the orgasm gap looms large. The orgasm gap refers to the statistic that hetero women are the least likely demographic to orgasm during sex, a devastating and preventable truth. So, they’ve set out to make sex toys that will be particularly enjoyable during partnered sex, and Dame Eva Couples Vibrator helps even out the playing field of sexual pleasure between the genders.

Key Takeaways
4.4 out of 5 stars

I had a positive experience testing Eva. It offers what no other sex toy can: a hands-free experience with a decent amount of clitoral stimulation. For me, it was just the right amount of clitoral stimulation on the highest settings. Highly recommended!

Who Should Try It? Anyone who wants to take penetrative sex to the next level and loves a good clitoris buzz should buy this toy.

Who Can Skip It? If you need internal stimulation, wear Eva while using a dildo. But for $135, you may want to buy a toy that can do both instead. One excellent dual-stimulation toy is the Lelo Soraya Wave.

What Is Dame Eva?

Dame Products Eva is a wearable, hands-free couples vibrator that works during penetrative sex. You insert a wing inside each labia, and then ostensibly, it stays on your body during sex with your partner, heightening the pleasure. To me, this seemed easier said than done. So, when the sex toy arrived at my doorstep, I was excited to begin research for this Dame Eva review.

Hands-free vibrators should probably be a lot more popular than they are. Perhaps people are used to holding their sex toy in exactly the right spot until their hands go numb, but it’s certainly not enjoyable. There are so many fun things you could feel free to do with your hands while masturbating—like high-fiving yourself when you’re done.

Let’s discuss whether this sex toy does what it set out to do.

The packaging

First Impressions & Features

Dame Products Eva features at a glance:

  • Material: Medical-grade silicone
  • Size: 1.3” W (2.4″ W with wings) x 1.7″ H x 1.1″ D
  • Color: Fir or quartz (green or pink)
  • Mechanism: Hands-free, strap-free clitoral device

Packaging

Dame Products sex toys come in a somewhat bland cardboard box, which I dig. The non-flashy, vintage drugstore vibe I get from Dame Products feels like it is normalizing sex toy purchases.

There’s nothing overly gendered about the marketing materials, and it doesn’t feel like a ‘scandalous’ or ‘wicked’ purchase. It feels as normal as if I picked up a box of bandages at Walgreens. There’s no sense of splurging or treating myself; rather, it feels functional, like a household necessity. I like that.

The content of the box

Inside is a sturdy green box, which is cute and perfect for long-term storage. There’s also an orgasm-face emoji sticker, which is Dame Products’ logo. There’s a storage bag with the same emoji, which is not incredibly soft but very durable.

Lastly, there is a one-page manual that walks you through Eva’s features and tips.

Material

Dame Products’ sex toys are made from medical-grade silicone, which I love since it’s very touchable, high quality, and body-safe.

The Eva is also waterproof and great for partnered shower sex or solo play in a bathtub.

Dimensions

The vibrator is tiny, as big as a couple of cherries. At 1.3” wide, it should fit inside most labia.

Body

This little thing is tiny and discreet. You can easily pop this in your purse—even if you carry a coin purse. And it comes in two colors.

The charging base

Battery Life and Charging

Eva’s battery setup is different than most other vibrators. Rather than plugging it in directly, she comes with a charging case.

The two-part charging case plugs into the wall with an old-school USB charger mechanism (not a magnetic one), and all you have to do is set Eva inside.

Note: It’s hard to tell if Eva is charging. There’s an extraordinarily dim blinking light on it that I had to turn off the lights and cup my hands around to see. So, it won’t keep you up at night, but it will be difficult to tell once the battery finishes charging (it stops blinking and stays constantly lit).

The LED light also blinks red for a low battery, which would be helpful if it was slightly brighter.

The charging case

Dame doesn’t mess around with battery life. The pleasantly brief user manual said the toy would last five hours on low. When I tested it, it lasted five hours and ten minutes after a full charge, and it took two hours to charge.

I love a company that doesn’t exaggerate the battery life.

Warranty and Support

All Dame toys come with a three-year warranty, which is a quality length of time for a sex toy warranty.

They also offer returns for 60 days, so you can get store credit if the product doesn’t work out.

Cleaning

Eva is easy to clean with soap and water or a water-based sex toy cleaner.

How To Use Dame Eva?

Before using it during sex with a partner, the instruction manual says you should try it first during solo play. I agree.

It’s fidgety when you first try to fit it correctly. Trying it alone will take the pressure off because you’ll have it figured out by the time you get into PIV intercourse (penis in vagina) or partnered play.

First, place the Eva next to your clitoris. Then, you pull your labia around the little wings until it settles into a comfortable fit.

There are several variations to try, including pulling your inner labia around it, flipping it upside down to see if it fits better, and adjusting it higher or lower.

You’ll want to ensure a snug fit, especially if you plan to use it with a partner.

The box and the device

Using the lubricant is somewhat tricky, too, because Eva will slip right out if you use too much (or, in my case, any). So, I don’t recommend putting lube on the body if you can do so comfortably.

Eva’s controls are intuitive. There’s just one little button that does everything you need.

  1. The first time you press it, it turns on to the lowest setting.
  2. The second time is medium, and the last is high.
  3. If you want to turn it off, press and hold for a couple of seconds.
  4. There aren’t any patterns to play with, but I appreciate the straightforward nature of the toy.
  5. Eva also has a travel mode so it won’t turn on accidentally, which is perfect because this little vibe is very travel-sized.

My Personal Experience

Comfort

When I first met Eva, I was nervous about her fitting. It seemed like if I got her into a comfortable spot, she wouldn’t be that snug. And if I got her to fit snugly, I wouldn’t be very comfortable.

When I tried it, I found it to be completely comfortable to wear on my body, though the wingspan was as large as I could imagine would be comfortable. I put only three drops of lube on the first time.

Ease Of Use

Does Eva stay in place? Well, I found it worked quite well in certain positions (missionary) but not so much in other positions. When I tried doggy style and cowgirl, Eva popped out after a moment unless I stayed pretty still. And having to stay perfectly still during sex is the antithesis of pleasure.

To ensure this review was thorough, I tried it without lube, and it worked much better. It stayed put in nearly any position, at least for a little while.

Surprisingly, it even worked during shower sex. And, of course, you can hold it with a single finger and this toy will stay perfectly in place. But if you need a truly hands-free toy that works in multiple positions, this may not be what you need.

Stimulations

Since the toy isn’t a powerhouse (though it is pretty powerful for its size), I much preferred to hold it against myself or have it pressed up against me, which was easy in the missionary sex position. The additional stimulation adds to the buzzy pleasure of the toy.

However, when I used it hands-free, I found the sensations to be a bit light.

Settings

The funny thing about both Dame Eva and Dame Fin is that on the first two vibration settings, my hopes were high that these could be rumbly vibrators despite their size. But by the time you get to the third and highest setting, it peters out into a buzz.

For people who prefer buzzy models, this won’t pose a problem. Anyone who needs stronger vibrations may not get the pleasure (or orgasms!) they need from this sex toy.

Review Summary

Features4 out of 5 stars
Cleanup4.8 out of 5 stars
Price4.2 out of 5 stars
Overall Rating4.4 out of 5 stars

In the end, I think Eva offers what almost no other sex toy can: a hands-free toy with a decent amount of clitoral stimulation. But you will probably have to skip the lube, making it inaccessible to post-menopausal folks.

Overall, I had a positive experience with this toy. I’d love for it to come in two sizes to fit more body types, maybe with an option to buy a smaller toy. For me, though, it was just the right amount of clitoral stimulation on the highest settings.

Pros

  • Waterproof
  • Great battery life
  • Perfect for anyone who wants a clitoral vibe for solo and partner use
  • An excellent travel companion for mobile pleasure
  • You’ll enjoy free shipping
  • You can wear this little guy out and about

Cons

  • At $135, it’s a bit pricey
  • The shape may not work for all bodies
  • You may have to hold it with a finger if you use lubricant
  • The vibration is firmly on the buzzy side

Who Should Try It?

Anyone who wants to take their partnered sex up a notch and loves a good clitoris buzz should start shopping for an Eva.

Who Can Skip This Sex Toy?

If you need internal stimulation, wear it while using a dildo. But for $135, you may want to buy a toy that can do both.

People who prize G-spot orgasms over clitoris orgasms should skip this.

Anyone who likes different patterns and rhythms will also want to skip it.

How Eva Stacks Up Against Other Dame Toys

Eva II is notably the second iteration of Evas. Eva I—which is no longer available unless you buy it from third-party sellers or other companies—was slightly bigger. The arms of Eva II are longer to help provide more stability when you try different positions.

Dame sells other products geared toward couples’ play. Dame Fin, for one, is a finger vibrator meant to enhance the sensation of your partner’s fingers. The Fin isn’t waterproof, though, merely water-resistant. So, couples who want to play in the bath should opt for Eva.

Fin Finger vibrator from Dame Products

Anyone who doesn’t want to hold the vibrator will want to opt for the hands-free Eva as well. Fin is a bit cheaper, though, at $85. When I held them both in my hands, their vibration settings felt similar, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend one based on strength alone.

Dame Pom lying on a bathroom sink

If you’re looking for a product solely for use during solo play, Dame products also sell Dame Pom, which is much more straightforward, and at $95, you’ll save some money.

Are There Any Good Alternatives?

In this chapter, you can see a comparison table and shorter reviews of alternative products we tested. As you can see, each row has the test criteria our team used during the testing. To make our testing process even more transparent, we also included the raw test data so you can see how the products performed with each test criteria.

Another wearable option is the Lovense Lush 3. While it’s fun for public use and great for long-distance couples due to the app, the Lovense Lush 3 wouldn’t be comfortable to wear during penetration.

So, Eva will benefit hetero couples wanting to orgasm simultaneously.

Next is the We-Vibe Chorus, another hands-free pleasure vibe. The Chorus couples vibrator is a sex toy you can comfortably wear during penetrative sex, and it stimulates both the G spot and the clitoris. It also has an app, giving it a leg up for long-distance couples. Plus, it comes with a remote to control the strength of the vibrations with your grip.

We-Vibe Chorus

However, it’s $199, quite a bit more expensive than the Eva.

The We-Vibe Unite, another hands-free clitoral and G spot vibrator, is the budget option. It doesn’t come with a control, but it retails for just $99, so you can save some cash.

Last up is the Lelo Tiani 2, a hands-free vibrator you can wear during intercourse. This waterproof vibe costs $149 and comes in a variety of colors.

Lelo Tiani 2

The Tiani 2 has a mechanism that increases the intensity of vibrations with faster movement, making it a natural pair for coupled sex. You can also tilt the remote to adjust the vibrations. This luxury option is perfect for couples who want to play around with different settings, but it may not suit people who don’t like additional internal stimulation during penetrative sex.
