Lovense Lush 3 is a powerful vibrator. On its lowest setting, it was more potent than other vibrating bullet vibes on high. On the highest setting, it’s enough to feel like a small internal earthquake. It’s also comfortable to wear, easy to use, and has the best smartphone app on the market.
If you own Lush 2 and wondering if it’s worth upgrading, my answer is a definite yes! The upgraded model has a redesigned antenna for better connectivity, a more bendable design, better battery life, a magnetic charger, and is quieter than the original.

What Is Lovense Lush 3?
Lovense Lush 3 is a vibrating egg designed for couples, and it’s supposed to be suitable for long-distance play, wearing out in public, hands-free orgasms, and even cam models. There’s very little this toy doesn’t claim to do. Therefore I decided to buy one from the official Lovense store to see if it was worth the hype!
For those unfamiliar with this remote-controlled vibrator, it’s an egg shape that vibrates internally. It has a fixed tail connected to it to adjust the intensity and rhythm of the vibrations. The battery life alone (up to five hours!) is enough to intimidate human G-spot stimulators.
Yet, the potential of this egg vibrator comes with a high price tag: the Lush 3 retails for $199, with frequent sales that allow you to purchase it for $119. So, when it arrived at my door, this sex toy reviewer went in with an open mind and some serious curiosity.

Packaging
I’m going to be honest: if you paid full price for the Lovense Lush 3, you might be expecting a little more from the packaging. The toy came in a simple white box—not super giftable, but it looks modern enough.
It was mailed discreetly, which I can appreciate as someone with nosy neighbors and ambitious porch pirates in my proximity.
It also came with a user manual, setup guide, charging cord, and carrying case.
I am thrilled about the carrying case. I think all the best sex toys come with them. A sex toy without a storage bag is naked, in my opinion. I hate to think of how many are rattling around in nightstands—not very hygienic. After you wash it, where are you supposed to put it, if not in a storage pouch? Other companies need to get on board with providing these!

Instruction Manual
Let’s talk about the user manual for a moment. From start to finish, it was a page-turner, but if I had to pick, my favorite line was, “DO NOT boil in water (the battery may explode or water could leak into the toy).” I guess since it’s a vibrating egg, people are trying to devil it.
Anyway, no, you shouldn’t boil it. Boiling is a great way to sanitize certain sex toys that don’t have motors. But this toy has a motor—a powerful one.
Also, don’t try the Lush 3 out as an anal toy. It doesn’t have a flared base, so you won’t have control over your body sucking the toy inside you, far past where you can retrieve it yourself, landing you in the ER, and giving your ER doc another interesting story to share at parties.
The manual recommends charging the Lovense toy at least once every six months. And lastly, you shouldn’t use this while it’s charging.
Material
The Lush 3 is made of body-safe silicone, which is nice, soft, and almost flesh-like. Remember, when using silicone toys, never use silicone lube. Instead, the manual recommends only water-based lubricant to keep the silicone covering in perfect condition.
It’s best not to use oil-based lubes, which don’t work well with condoms, either—even if they are latex-free.
The manual also claims that it is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be underwater for half an hour at a depth of one meter or roughly three feet. I was curious about what would happen at the end of the thirty minutes. Does the waterproof material give up at that point? After some brief research, it seems that toys with that waterproof certification are only tested for that long, so they may last longer.
To err on the side of caution, it’s worth keeping an eye on the clock if you’re using this in the tub so that you don’t overdo it and end up compromising the integrity of your device.
Dimensions
The manufacturers measured the Lush 3 as 2.94” tall, 1.37” wide, and 3.77” long (when in the c shape—not when extended).
This toy is small enough to throw into its carrying bag, sneak into your purse, and bring it wherever you need it.
Design
The body of this G spot stimulation device is soft, body-safe silicone that comes in one color: hot pink. I hope you like hot pink because if not, you’re out of luck.
The device’s neck is pleasantly flexible so it fits most body shapes, but it helps increase the Bluetooth connectivity more than it transmits the vibrations to your clitoris.
The motor creating the intense vibrations is in the egg rather than the antenna, but it’s not very heavy, considering its power.
Battery Life and Charging
The packaging lists the Lovense Lush 3 as something that will give you “up to five hours” of fun. Up to five hours is a vague way to phrase it, so I decided to put the device to the test.
After charging fully, it lasted three hours and fifty-eight minutes on the lowest setting for me, a bit under its listed potential. I will say that it went out with a bang, though. It wasn’t one of those sex toys where the vibration gradually dies until you wonder if you no longer feel pleasure when you use it anymore because the sensation is so faint. Up until the battery died, the vibrations were remarkably strong.
The manual also says the Lush 3 takes about 85 minutes to charge. I timed it, and mine took seventy minutes.
For a first-time charge, plan on 85 minutes since the first time often takes a bit longer. In the sex toy world, that’s a relatively good ratio of charge time to use time. It also has a standby time of 120 hours, which is a plus.
It has a magnetic USB charging cable which, if you read my Satisfyer Pro 2 review, you already know is my favorite.
The only thing to remember is this one is a bit different than most, as the magnet can lead you astray. It has two little nodes, and the magnets will allow you to hook it up backward, as I did on the first try, and then it will not charge. If you don’t see the red LED light turn on, it’s not charging, as the magnetic USB charging cable only works one way. So, the charging function is a little fiddly, even with the magnetic charging port.
And, a word to the wise: if you don’t like the light, you can turn it off in the app.
Warranty and Support
The manual mentions that Lovense offers a one-year warranty from the date of purchase “against defects due to workmanship or materials.” So, if you boiled your Lush 3, you’re out of luck. Further, their website notes that if you try to take it apart, this will void the warranty.
But, if you notice a defect, notify them within a year, and they should send you a free replacement. Or, if you have a case of changed-your-mind-itis, you can return it unopened within thirty days.
Cammer Integration
Finally, the sex toy industry has an answer to the age-old question, “What are cam models supposed to use for sex toys?” Lovense has created an app that works with any of its toys, and it has many cool features for sex work professionals. Plus, it works with Mac and Windows PCs.
- You can set up tip-based vibrations that alert you to the highest tippers, send them an auto-reply, and give them live control over the vibrations. You simply set a time limit and provide them with the link, and they can interact with the app-control features.
- Further, you can create games like keno or a dice game to make tipping more fun for the viewers. They even have a smart cam that allows you to have a video overlay to your video feed, and you can set the rules for tip ranges so it’s easy to see what they can buy.
- A certain tip level can make all the toys vibrate, for example. This feature has the potential to revolutionize sex toy-based camming. The options for customizing it are endless.
Since I’m not a cammer, I’ll let the professionals weigh in on how effective their setup looks. But an outsider’s perspective is that it seems like an entertaining way to get your audience involved. How To Use Lovense Lush 3?
The first thing you want to do is charge the Lovense Lush 3 and wash it. Then, grab your water-based lubricant and slather some on.
When ready, please insert the egg part with the tail sitting externally. At the top of the neck is a little head, where you can turn the toy on and cycle through your favorite patterns.
To control the Lush 3, you use the buttons on the fixed tail to cycle through the various vibration patterns. Since pictures are worth a thousand words, the setup guide uses images to represent each of the seven functions.
According to the images, the vibration patterns go in this order: low, medium, high, pulse, wave, fireworks, and earthquake.
But before playing around with the rumbly vibrations, you must hold the button at the top (circled) for three seconds and then push once more to get started. When you press the power button and hold it down, it turns off.
The Lush 3 is fairly easy to use. The fixed tail butts up against your skin when you use it, but the button is easy to access. Yet, it’s not exactly great for stealth mode use, which is a bit strange for a toy designed for public play. If you’re in a quiet restaurant, you can definitely hear the vibrations even on the lowest setting. So, it’s probably not the best choice for a fine dining situation, but it’s the perfect choice for a noisy night out—a concert, perhaps.

How To Control It With The App?
Using the Lovense remote app (available for Windows PC, Apple, iOS, or Android smartphones) is reasonably straightforward, with a little bit of setup.
First, you make an account on the Lovense website. Then you connect the toy with a quick press of a button. The phone app has many different functionalities, including an alarm, music, remote control feature, my patterns, and sound options.
1. Alarm
I was curious about the alarm on the Lovense app: do some like to masturbate at a specific time each day? Or do they like to have a daily reminder for self-pleasure?
I tried the alarm function out, and it will alert you with a sound or one of your own vibration patterns at the predetermined time. So, if you wore this to bed, you could technically wake yourself up with rumbly vibrations and G-spot stimulation. It’s a cute function for long-distance couples.
And, if anyone ever invents sex-themed restaurants, hosts could use them instead of pagers to let diners know when their tables are ready.
2. Music
The music function allows you to sync songs from your library to it. This feature is fantastic, especially for someone who is auditorily oriented, like me.
You could probably even create playlists of recommended vibration songs to share with your friends, which I plan to do.
3. Sound
The sound function asks for permission to use your microphone, and then the vibration is activated by sounds. It’s very sensitive, too. I have it between medium and low on the sensitivity spectrum, and the sound of my typing activates the vibration intermittently.

4. My Patterns
You can also create patterns, if you are so inclined, and incorporate them into a playlist that you save right on the app. It has options to use two vibrators at the same time, with a pink line representing one and a blue line representing the other.
You can also choose the loop option to repeat the vibration patterns you’ve already created, or you can select float, which prolongs the last intensity you chose, even if you stop holding your finger to that setting.
It’s a handy option so you don’t have to keep focusing on not moving your finger the entire time.
5. Remote
The remote function allows you to manipulate the Lush 3 in real-time with your finger, moving up for more intense vibrations on the G spot and lower for less, giving you complete control over the speed and intensity.
Lastly, you can give your partner long-distance control over the vibrations. You simply go to long-distance and then add your partner.
My Personal Experience
Ease Of Use
I will admit that I’m no size queen. In fact, I’m not involved with the size monarchy at all. Instead, I’m part of the anti-size revolution.
So the Lush 3 was plenty bulbous for me. Other people may want it to be bigger or smaller, depending on their anatomy.
At first, I was worried that the neck wouldn’t fit comfortably on the outside, but that didn’t seem to be a problem, as there’s a lot of give and stretch with this toy.
However, when you get the Lush 3 positioned correctly, the antenna doesn’t have a clear job description. It has a bit of vibration leftover from the G spot vibrations, but it‘s not particularly stimulating. Plus, the flexible antenna lay weirdly on me, off to the side, so it couldn’t provide clit stimulation anyway.
Comfort
One of the best parts about the Lush 3 is that you can wear it for an evening out. Even in a little black dress, it was impossible to tell I was wearing something. It was comfortable sitting and standing. Even sneezing and laughing didn’t cause it to fall out.
However, a bit of jumping did shake the Lush 3 loose, so don’t wear this if you’re doing vigorous exercise.
Does the Lush 3 feel good?
The Lovense Lush 3 does deliver a powerful vibrator. On its lowest setting, it was more potent than some of my vibrating bullet vibes on high. On the highest setting, it’s enough to feel like a small internal earthquake.
The power means that people who haven’t been able to locate their G-spot until now will likely have no trouble finding it after playing with this thing. The power also means that before you insert it, it’s definitely audible!
In addition, the Lush 3 is one of the few toys where I felt the rhythms were indeed necessary. In general, I favor consistency, so I choose a setting like low, medium, or high, and then I stick with it. But the Lush 3 was so powerful that using it without any break felt a bit numbing, so the rhythms were clutch.
Sound Level
Once inside, it was pretty quiet, and the noise level was not bad. A little bit of ambient noise should cover up the rest. Just don’t wear it to a library.
Cleaning & Storing
This vibrating egg is easy to clean. It doesn’t have any seams or edges that would make you want to get out a toothpick or toothbrush to feel like it’s clean.
The manual reflects its ease of use, requesting that you clean Lovense Lush 3 before and after use with warm water and gentle dish soap or a sex toy cleaner.
Customer Support
Unfortunately, the manual doesn’t mention what materials they used to make the storage bag, so I reached out to them to find out how to clean it. I got a quick reply back, saying that they received my ticket, but it might take a while to respond. They also said to be aware that their response might go to my spam folder.
But I’m a sex toy reviewer. Nothing goes to my spam folder. As of this writing, I have not heard back about how to clean the bag.
Update: After almost one month, the Lovense team finally got back to me and said the storage bag is made of satin and should be washed by hand or on the delicate cycle of your washer. Also, use cold water along with a gentle detergent.

Who Can Skip It
If you need external and internal stimulation at the same time, the Lush 3 will not scratch that itch. And if you already know that you prefer clitoral stimulation, you should probably skip this.
If you want a toy you could use anally, this is not a good match for you either.
Lovense Lush 3 vs. Lovense Lush 2
The Lush 3 is, unsurprisingly, the third version in the Lush family, and it came with several improvements from the Lovense Lush 2. (read our Lovense Lush 2 review here)
First, the Lush 3 has a redesigned antenna with a printed circuit board for better connectivity. The upgraded antenna is fixed so the toy stays in place and helps maintain the Bluetooth connection, an upgrade over the Lush 2.
The third model also has a magnetic charging cable rather than the regular USB charging cable that its predecessor has.
Another significant difference is that the original Lush 2 is bendable so that you can shape it to your body and remain in that shape. It’s flexible but always returns to its basic c shape.
The long battery life is more impressive with the Lush 3. Which other devices could last almost four hours that don’t plug directly into the wall? In comparison, the Lovense Lush 2 only offers 1.5-2 hours of playtime.
Lastly, the third version is a bit quieter than the second version.

We-Vibe Chorus
Let’s start with the We-Vibe Chorus. It’s another wearable vibrator designed for couples’ use. On the upside, it provides G-spot and clitoral stimulation, and you can wear it during sex.
It comes with a remote that you squeeze to indicate how much intensity you’d like the vibration to have.
However, the Chorus toy doesn’t have a magnetic charging cable, and it would be a bit bulky to wear in public. It doesn’t seem as easy to use for camming. The Chorus retails for $199, a bit pricier than the Lush 3.
Ohmibod Esca 2
Next up is the Ohmibod Esca 2. it’s an excellent option for shoppers on a budget, as it costs $109, a bit smaller of a wallet gouge than the prior two.
The Esca 2 has lights that sync to the vibration, offering a multi-sensory experience. The Esca 2 also provides mild residual clit stimulation, similar to the Lush 3.
The tradeoff is that the Ohmibod vibrator doesn’t have the power that the Lush 3 does, and it doesn’t have a magnetic charger.
Kiiroo Pearl3
Another Lush 3 competitor is the Kiiroo Pearl3 G-Spot Vibrator, which also comes in a set with a penis toy, the Onyx+ Male Masturbator.
The Pearl dildo has app-controlled play, so your partner can control how strong the vibrations are. It is USB rechargeable, but it doesn’t come with magnetic chargers.
You can also sync it with your Virtual Reality devices—a feature the Lovense Lush vibrator doesn’t offer. You can use the vibrations internally or externally, but not both at once.
The Pearl3 costs just $129, cheaper than the rest. But you certainly couldn’t wear it out – not without drawing a lot of attention.
