Opening a Lelo box is always a sexy experience. The box looks and feels luxurious, and they come with everything you need: the vibrator, the remote-control disc, the USB charging cable, the storage bag, batteries, and an instruction manual.
Material
The Lelo Tiani 2 is made from body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. Both materials make for an attractive vibrator.
Dimensions
The Tiani 2 is only 3.3” long. So, this is a toy you can put in its storage bag, throw into your purse, and use for on-the-go fun.

The body is small, as it should be. It needs to be relatively unobtrusive for partnered play to be comfortable.
How To Charge Lelo Tiani 2?
The manual says to charge the battery for two hours before starting. When I charged it, it took one hour and fifty-three minutes. The manual says it lasts up to two hours, and when I used it on the lowest setting, it lasted one hour and forty minutes.
Though the Tiani is rechargeable, the remote is not. You’ll need to use the two AAA batteries it comes with, and when those run out, you’ll need to replace them. It would have been a nice touch if both the disc and the toy were rechargeable.

The Tiani 2 comes with a one-year warranty against defects and a ten-year quality guarantee.
How To Clean Lelo Tiani 2?
The sex toy is waterproof, so clean it with warm water and soap, and let it dry. Alternatively, you could use a sex toy cleaner. There are slight seams between the silicone and the ABS plastic, but trickier yet is that the toy unscrews, making it tedious to clean. Every once in a while, you’ll want to get in there with a toothbrush to be extra thorough.
How To Use Lelo Tiani 2?
- First, you’ll want to wash and charge your Lelo Tiani 2.
- Then, you’ll need to select which internal component you’d like to use.
- The original is the one that is rounded. The newly designed part is flatter at the top, and it’s supposed to stay in place better in various positions than the original arm.
- Screw the one you’ve chosen into the bullet vibrator, grab some water-based lube, and place the internal component inside and the external part on your clit.
- Play around with the speed and vibration intensity to find out what you like best.
The controls are a bit tricky on this one, so you’ll want to read the manual before getting started.
- Turn the vibrator on by pressing the power button on the toy.
- Use the + button on the remote control to pair the toy with the remote control. To increase the vibrations, turn the disc vertically.
- The wireless controller disc is sensitive to motion, which is fun because you can shake it around (or dance with it, the way the promotional video shows) to get very different vibration experiences.
- To cycle through the settings, press the center button on the remote.
Here’s where it gets even more technical: there are three control modes:
- The Tiani 2 defaults to mode 1, where holding the disc vertically produces gradually intensifying vibrations, and holding the disc flat produces decreased sensation.
- To get to SenseMotion mode 2, you press the center button. In this mode, you can shake the disc to increase the sensations.
- The third control mode means you operate the control directly on the device.

My Personal Experience
Ease Of Use
I cycled through the SenseMotion functions and was confused about why the disc vibrated, too. But I realized the disc vibrations communicate what’s happening to the controller. So, if you handed this disc to your partner during sex, they could feel the sensations along with you and alter them accordingly.
The disc was fun to play with, but the settings aren’t intuitive. SenseMotion control mode 1 (where you turn the disc horizontally to increase the intensity) was fun, but it’s hard to hold it in exactly one position during sex. SenseMotion control mode 2 is clearly for people who are more ambitious than I am and can focus on repeatedly shaking the wireless remote at increasing speed levels until completion.
These were fun to try, but I preferred the consistency of turning it on and cranking it up.
Stimulations
At first glance, Tiani seems like it shouldn’t be powerful. After all, the entire motor for the vibrator is in the tiny little tip of the contraption. However, for such a small little bullet, it packs a wallop. It’s not incredibly powerful for someone who wants serious clit horsepower, but it’s intense for its size.
One interesting thing: Tiani consistently produces great vibration with its clitoral arm. On the lowest settings, you can expect very low vibration and very little noise. It gets only slightly noisier at the top vibration speed.
What Positions Are Best?
It’s a bit difficult to find the perfect position that doesn’t involve body twisting. At least, it was for me. You must adjust the toy, try penetration, stop, and adjust again. But with the two components to choose from, I quickly found a comfortable position. If it feels weird at first, I recommend making micro-adjustments until you find something that works.
It’s important to note this device stays inside in some sex positions—but not all. Missionary and doggy style worked okay for me. But the couples who switch positions like porn stars will find this slips out easily. Lube is necessary with this sex toy, but you may want to use it sparingly. If you don’t want to worry about it, stick to one tried-and-true position.
Charging & Battery Life
The charger is different from all the other Lelo chargers. It plugs into the wall rather than a USB charging port. And unfortunately, after about the 5th charge, it stopped charging. This malfunction wasn’t a big deal for me because I had another Lelo charger which worked perfectly. But it would be unpleasant for someone who didn’t have a backup.
Overall Design
All in all, I think the best part of this toy is the steady vibration it provides. It’s easy to find yourself losing control, and in my case, it was easier with this toy than with other versions of a couple’s vibe. The vibrations travel to your G spot and offer different pleasure sensations. How It Stacks Up Against Other Lelo Sex Toys
Lelo Tiani 3
The latest in the Tiani series is the Lelo Tiani 3, which has much in common with the 2. However, the Tiani 2 comes with two internal arm attachments. The Tiani 3 only has one arm attachment, and the external, clit-stimulating arm is shaped differently.

Lelo Ida Wave
The Ida Wave is comparable to the Tiani 2 since you wear it inside the vagina during sex with a partner and operate it via the remote-control disc. The Ida Wave, however, has an internal arm that rotates and moves around while the circular base vibrates, ostensibly during intercourse. It has eight different vibration patterns and costs $189.
Since the clitoral stimulation arm doesn’t reach very far, this will be best suited to someone with a low-sitting clit. The rotation is the most significant difference here, as Tiani 2 and 3 use only vibration.
Alternatives to the Lelo Tiani 2
We-Vibe Chorus
The We Vibe Chorus is a couples vibe that is the best for couples to use in public, according to some of our other reviews. The Chorus has the bonus of an app, so you can control it remotely, making it great for long-distance couples. The Tiani can only be operated with the remote up to 39 feet away.
