The original Launch only let you operate Fleshlight sleeves, which was a little limiting. Since then, many more brands have popped up with toys that can give you a hands-free wank.

First Impressions & Features
Packaging
When ordering the Universal Launch, I knew the device would be big, but the box it arrived in was nearly comical. Look, if you live in a shared house or with your parents, a parcel this large will have people asking questions. So, while the packaging is discreet, the sheer size of the launch box is not. The device is not as big as the box makes it out to be, with a lot of free space inside, which I found a little underwhelming.
Inside my box, I found the Universal Launch, the smartphone mount, the magnetic phone mount, the power cable, the quick start guide, the instruction manual, the Turbo Thrust, and some Fleshlube.
Just a heads up, when I purchased my Universal Launch, I got the Turbo Thrust bundle because if you buy the Launch on its own, it doesn’t come with a sleeve. I wanted the whole Universal Launch experience and was happy to add another quality sleeve to my collection. You can use the Launch with any regular Fleshlight or similar, so there’s no need to buy one if you already have one you love.
Design
Holding the device in my hands for the first time, I was excited. It wasn’t as heavy as I expected, but it still had a quality feel. The finish is a mix of matte black and glossy black, with quality rubber controls and switches.
I should begin by talking about the look, which is different from other blowjob machines on the market. The unit is large and futuristic looking and wouldn’t be out of place in a sci-fi setting.
I think it could be smaller and still do a similar job without having to clear so much new wardrobe space. To any sexual partners you have, it may also scream, “I’m dedicated to wanking!” a little louder than you may like.
The handles on each side of the device are ergonomic, and the buttons are in perfect positions, right under the thumbs. The issue with the first Launch was that you needed two hands to hold the toy at all times. With the handles, you can easily let go and use one hand to hold the toy.
Controls
I tried the power button on the Universal Launch but thought it needed charging before use, which was annoying. I wanted to try the toy out straight away. My frustration was short-lived, though – after reading the instructions (like I should have done earlier), I’d found you can operate the Universal Launch when plugged into mains power. Crisis averted!
The buttons on the left handle control the stroke lengths and position. There are three different positions – base, shaft, and tip. The switch controls the stroke speed on your right handle, and there are four levels to explore. The fastest speed can reach up to 250 strokes per minute, something I don’t think I could replicate manually, even on my best day.
Time to test the Universal Launch with a Fleshlight.
Ease Of Use
There is a simple ratcheting system that you strap a Fleshlight or sleeve into, much like a snowboard binding. It’s a bizarre concept for a sex toy and seemed pretty extreme, but it works so well. I pulled out my Turbo Thrust and secured it into the Launch using the ratcheting buckle.
What’s cool is there’s a clip on the outside in the ratcheting system, which helps you tighten the binding around whatever sleeve or Fleshlight you’re securing. So, you could have lubed up hands and easily changed sleeves or made tightness adjustments midway through a wank. You can’t do this with any other toy I’ve tried because lubed-up hands make things slippery.
When secured in, the Fleshlight doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere.

Even More Compatible Sleeves
It’s in its name. The Universal Launch is universal with pretty much any Fleshlight or stroker. Thanks to the ratcheting system, you can buckle in toys you already have, making the Launch a one-stop-shop.
It’s fantastic to own one device that can operate my entire quiver of strokers from all my favorite brands, such as Kiiroo’s Feelstars line (Read my FeelLeigh review here).
250 Strokes per Minute
The new Launch is powerful, and it can move quickly. Two hundred fifty strokes per minute are four strokes per second, and I know your arm wouldn’t be able to do that for very long. The original Launch could only go up to 180 strokes per minute, so it’s a bit of an upgrade over the previous version.
If you’re into ultra-fast and intense strokes, then the Universal Launch is for you. And if you’re not, you can use the slower speed settings – the Universal is for everyone.
Pretty quiet
Considering the Launch can reach up to 250 strokes per minute, the toy is pretty quiet and discreet. If you were going away at it in a bedroom with the door closed, I doubt anyone outside would be able to hear you, but I can’t guarantee the moans and groans won’t be an issue.
Warranty
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much info on how the warranty works specifically for the Universal Launch. But it seems that a blanket covers all return policies, which offers a replacement for defective products, but only if they are unopened and unused.
I’m unsure how their customer service is for products that have issues after use. Still, there is a contact number available if that happens.
Universal Smartphone Mount

My Fleshlight Universal Launch came with two different phone holders; one universal style you can see on the website, plus a magnet including a disc you can attach to your phone case.
How To Use Universal Launch?
First, you need to clip your masturbation sleeve into the Launch and secure it in place using the ratcheting system. Then lube up, insert your dick, and press the power button on the right side.
The Launch has a bunch of different settings to explore to create varied experiences:
- First, the masturbator has four stroke speeds to choose from (right thumb). Admittedly, other toys out there have way more stroke speed options, but I found four to plenty enough variation for my needs.
- You can also control the stroke length (left thumb). Since the Launch can stroke the whole size of your dick, it feels real. Add that to whatever sleeve you have, and the variety of sensations is never-ending.
- In addition, there are three positions to try out – one that focuses on the base of your dick, one on the shaft, and one on the tip. This is controlled by the left-finger button.
The pause/stop button is handy for a few reasons.
- One is for safety. So many sex toys require a long hold to turn off, which can be confusing and take a while to stop. With the speed of thrusts on the Launch, it’s nice to know you can stop quickly at any time.
- With a pause/stop button, you can switch things off at the click of a button, helping with edging practice if you’re getting worked up quickly and want to take a short break.
My Personal Experience
Finally, after waiting a few hours for the Universal Launch to charge, it was time to settle in and put it to use.
I Logged into my free trial of Fleshlight Video, watched some fantastic scenes with top-end porn queens in crisp HD, and was soon ready to get into action.
Firstly, I lubed up the Turbo Thrust liberally; this thing is tight! I used the Fleshlube Water that came with my package, and it was ultra high-quality with a good balance of slimy feel but thin consistency.
I inserted myself into the sleeve, which felt terrific and life-like (I will review this separately because it is so good)
Please note you need to be hard before using the Launch – as is the case for most sleeves and automatic penis milking machines.
Phone Holder
I attached my phone to the universal smartphone mount. It worked just fine and was easy to secure. I did find that when you’re lying down, you can’t see the phone as well because the Launch gets in the way, but a minor negative.
Ratcheting System
Then I clipped the sleeve into Launch and secured it in place using the ratcheting system. I’m unsure whether you should attach the sleeve before or after inserting your member. Still, either way, the ratcheting system made it easy.
I was so eager with anticipation that my erection was rock hard. Most importantly, I hate when the complexities of the toy take away the excitement and lead to a limp dick, but the Universal Launch setup was fast and easy.
Stimulations
I pushed the power button and started with the first speed, focusing on the tip of my dick. It felt good. The strokes were so smooth – much smoother than the original Fleshlight Launch, which I sometimes found clunky.
My dick was throbbing as I increased speed and moved the position of the stroke to the shaft. I was amazed by the speed the Launch could reach while still stroking the entire length of the shaft. It was like thrusting into a pussy, but without any of the work.
I was in heaven. It felt so good watching something and mimicking the movements with the controls on the Launch. I couldn’t get over the super smooth action and patterns the toy makes.

I also perhaps wonder if the ladies could get a little fun out of this toy. Who’s to stop you from trying to secure a dildo into the binding and use the Universal Launch as a sex simulator?
Who Is It Not For?
If you’re into interactive content, then the Kiiroo Keon or the Handy might be a better option. In addition, The Universal Launch doesn’t connect to WiFi or Bluetooth, making it not a great choice for couples’ play. If you want that feature, go with Kiiroo Keon or Handy (more automatics Fleshlights here).
Finally, at $199.95, it’s a pricey product. So if you’re on a tight budget, I can recommend Lovense Max 2 or Meiki ZXY (not automatic).

Cleaning & Maintenance
Even though the Universal Launch is on the bigger side of things, it’s super ergonomic and straightforward to clean. So, unless you blow your load everywhere (very possible), the sleeve you attached to the toy is the only thing you’ll need to clean.
Sleeves and cases need proper cleaning after each use, so don’t get lazy. I usually rinse the sleeve under warm water and clean it using a sex toy cleaner or mild soap. The company has its own called FleshWash, and it’s pretty good. I then let my sleeve drip dry – in a discreet spot, so no one using the bathroom is welcomed by a naughty surprise.
Fleshlight has now created a range of drying stands and devices, which might be worth considering if you are a regular user and a clean freak like me.
Storing this bad boy is the next challenge. Because it’s so big, I put it inside a cloth bag under my bed. Make sure you put your toys away in a place that doesn’t get dusty – this is why I use a cloth bag. It didn’t come with anything to store it in apart from the massive box, which was a little disappointing considering the high purchase price.
