Lelo Tiani 3 Review 2024: A Few Things You NEED To Know!

Couples vibrators can be hit or miss. Not only do they have to be flexible enough to fit most bodies, but they also have to be sturdy enough to stay in during intercourse without causing pain. They must be small enough to not be intrusive or disruptive during sex but long enough to reach most people’s clit. Further, they should be ergonomically designed but have a powerful enough motor to create intense stimulations. I was fortunate to be able to review the Lelo Tiani 2, and even more excited to start testing my Lelo Tiani 3 to see if the upgrade is worth it!

Key Takeaways
4.4 out of 5 stars

After testing the Lelo Tiani 3 and the Lelo Tiani 2, they undoubtedly have different things to offer and will appeal to different audiences. The second version comes with two attachment sizes, a feature I liked and will miss when using Lelo Tiani 3. However, the 3rd version is longer, heavier, and shaped better, which I also enjoyed. You’ll have to decide what your priorities are before purchasing one!

Who Should Try It? Anyone with issues climaxing during penetrative sex should buy Tiani 3 today. While the vibrations alone were not enough to make me climax, I believe the extra stimulations will be enough to “push you over the edge.” And if you loved the original Lelo Tiani 2 but wanted more broad-based stimulations, the Tiani 3 will be worth the upgrade.

Who Can Skip It? If you don’t want something specifically for partnered use, you can skip this sex toy and consider the Lelo Ida Wave instead, as it’s a great hands-free toy designed for solo play. It also has a smartphone app, which is great for public play and long-distance couples. Further, anyone who needs deep, rumbly vibrations rather than lighter buzzy sensations would be better served by a stronger model, like the Lovense Domi 2 wand.

You Can Buy It on the official Lelo website for $169.

What Is Lelo Tiani 3?

The Lelo Tiani 3 is a wearable, remote-controlled couples vibrator meant to make sex more pleasurable for people with vulvas. Only a small percentage of people with vulvas can climax from thrusting alone—so this sex toy is here to even out the orgasm gap.

Shaped like the letter U, the Lelo Tiani 3 has one arm that vibrates internally against the G spot while the other vibrates against the clitoris. The remote control makes it even easier to change the sensations without having to stop intercourse and press buttons.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

Lelo has my favorite packaging, period. It’s giftable, it’s black, it’s not gendered—that ticks all my packaging boxes. Plus, the Lelo Tiani 3 vibrator has everything you need to get into it: the toy, wireless remote control, USB charging cord, warranty registration info, a satin storage pouch, instruction manual, and two triple-A batteries for the remote. It also comes with a small packet of lube, a thoughtful touch I always appreciate.

  • Flexible design

How To Use Lelo Tiani 3?

After washing and charging the Lelo Tiani 3, you’ll want to put the batteries into the remote since this is a remote-controlled toy. There are diagrams in the manual to help show you what to do, and the toy comes with a plastic key so you can open it easily. Once everything is ready, wash your hands and lube yourself up. Grab your partner, too, and lube up their penis while you’re at it.

Next, press the on button on the body. There’s only one button, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find. If you don’t want to use your toy with the remote, push the on button repeatedly to pick your pattern. Otherwise, press the plus button on the remote to pair them. You’ll know they’re connected because the vibration intensity will lower and will start responding to the remote’s motion.

Then, put the smaller end of the toy inside, and lay the external vibrating arm against your clitoris. Then, your partner can begin penetration, and you’ll both enjoy the vibrating sensations.

My Personal Experience

Couples vibrators can transform your sex life, especially if you don’t usually orgasm from thrusting alone. They make a huge difference. They can heat up your sex life, which is crucial for people with vulvas who are statistically less likely to climax during penetrative sex.

The instructions only recommend the Lelo Tiani 3 in two positions—missionary position or cowgirl—but I wanted to try a bunch to find out how well the toy stays in place. So we also tried spooning, which is the laziest of all positions and, thus, my favorite. We tried doggy style, too, and my honest review of that position is that it was fantastic. And lastly, we tried reverse cowgirl, and both of us thought that position worked well with this vibrator.

Lelo Tiani 3

If my vagina were voting for the most comfortable position to use with this toy, it would vote for spooning, again, sheerly out of comfort. However, if my G spot were voting, it would choose missionary because it elevated that position so much, and my clit would choose missionary as well, thanks to the extra pressure placed against it.

I also noticed that the vibrations weren’t quite enough for me unless I held the vibrator against my clit. So for me, this didn’t quite work as a hands-free vibe.

One of the cool things about the Lelo Tiani 3 is that the remote vibrates along with the toy, letting your partner know how intense the sensations are and adjust accordingly. They can even feel the same pattern that you do. If this setting annoys your partner, you can turn it off by pressing and holding the () button for five seconds. The SenseMotion will continue to work, but you won’t feel the vibration on the controller any longer.

Lelo Tiani 3 and the remote control

If you’re wondering if the remote’s vibrations are strong enough to bring you to climax, you’ll be relieved to know that I tried to masturbate with that as well, for science. My vagina felt they were too weak, even though I’m pretty sensitive.

I was also curious if the extra base attachment that came with the Tiani 2 would fit on the Tiani 3 because some toy users may consider upgrading but prefer the additional attachment to the original. What I found was they did fit! So if you love the old base attachment but want the upgrades from the new version, you can make it work.

Lastly, I wanted to try it as a wearable vibrator. Walking around the house, I found it stayed in pretty well. It felt mostly sturdy in my vagina, but I’d recommend wearing tight-fitting underwear with this wearable vibe, just in case.

I hoped this upgrade would include a rechargeable remote, which would have made a big difference for me. I prefer rechargeable products, and remembering that the toy is rechargeable while the remote control is not is difficult, especially when you’re a sex toy collector like I am. In the image below, you can see me demonstrate how to use the remote’s battery compartment.

The remote with the battery compartment open

Plus, the Tiani 3 relies almost entirely on the remote; you’re stuck with only one intensity level unless you use it. I think this setup is slightly convoluted and inconvenient, and I hope they have a rechargeable remote control when their next sex toy comes out.

I was impressed by the vibrations, without question. The clit stimulation rivaled some of my bigger, heavier devices with large motors and intense vibrations. The G-spot stimulation was pretty intense for me, but I’m fairly sensitive. However, I would never use it alone as a clit vibrator—I usually leave that task to my favorite bullet vibrators.

Packaging

As you can see in the image below, the packaging is a chef’s kiss. Gorgeous! 10/10! No notes!

The packaging

Design

The toy’s design is stunning and sleek. It’s minimalist but has a small gold band for a little pop of luxury. Plus, it feels sturdy even with the removable base attachment. Everything is well-made and practically seamless, and the ABS plastic works well with the body-safe silicone.

Material

Both the vibrator and its controller are made out of extra-soft silicone, which is my favorite kind of silicone. It’s also non-porous, making cleaning super easy.

Stimulations

I was surprised by the strength of Lelo Tiani 3’s vibrations. They were more potent than some of the other couple’s vibrators that we’ve tried. However, it was more buzzy than rumbly, so you’ll want to look elsewhere if that’s a dealbreaker for you.

Lelo Tiani 3

Sound Level

The sound level is not the quietest or the loudest, with decibels ranging from 44 to 60 dB, about the same as a normal conversation.

Build Quality and Dimensions

The Lelo product has excellent build quality, as is the case with all of their products. It feels sturdy like it should last a long time, and the toy is flexible enough to fit many different-sized people without an issue.

The device charging

The dimensions are spot on, too. Most people’s G spots are between two to three inches inside the vagina. Tiani 3’s insertable length is 3.1”, so it should easily reach most G spots.

Ease Of Use

Tiani 3 couldn’t be simpler to use: it only has one button (image below). It turns it on or off and cycles you through the six preset patterns. You cannot change the intensity settings without the remote, which is not ideal.

Closeup of the control buttons

The remote is a little more complicated, and you might want to keep the user guide nearby the first time until you get a feel for what you’re doing. It has two Sensemotion modes, and it may take a time or two until you know what works better for you.

Pairing the Remote

The remote has three buttons, a plus, a minus, and something that looks like two parentheses (circled in the image above). The two parentheses button is the middle button. Once you turn the toy on, press the plus button on the remote and it will automatically pair with the toy.

The lights on the body and the remote will appear once the toy is connected, and the vibration intensity will reduce. That means you’re operating in SenseMotion mode 1, where tilting changes the intensity level.

SenseMotion Mode 1

Want the highest intensity? Turn the remote to a completely vertical position. Push the center button to cycle through the different vibration settings, and you’ll be able to feel the highest peak of the strong vibrations.

SenseMotion Mode 2

To get to SenseMotion mode 2, press the () button briefly. SenseMotion mode 2 works by turning up the intensity on the toy when the remote is moved rapidly. Slow motions mean lower vibrations and fast motions mean more intense vibrations.

Versatility

It’s fairly versatile, especially for a couple’s toy. It is waterproof, making it perfect for splashy partnered play. And you could wear it around for public play, too.

The wireless range for the remote is just 39 feet. So while you may be able to roam about the house while controlling the sensations, this isn’t ideal for long-distance play, making it slightly less versatile.

Warranty and Support

Lelo Tiani 3 has a one-year warranty, and if an issue arises during the first year, they replace the toy.

After that, you’re covered by the ten-year quality guarantee, which means that if your toy stops functioning within ten years, you get a 50% discount code to buy something else from Lelo.

The new, upgraded Tiani 3 offers some much-needed design changes to provide broader stimulation. However, it no longer has the extra size base attachment, so it won’t fit as many people.

  • The wireless remote control makes hands-free and partnered play easy
  • SenseMotion modes 1 and 2 are creative features
  • A broader tip makes clitoral stimulation more likely
  • The gorgeous, flexible design will fit many bodies

  • $169 is expensive

Who Should Try It

If you loved the original Lelo Tiani 2 but wanted more broad-based stimulations, the Tiani 3 will be worth the upgrade.

Who Can Skip It

If you don’t want a toy that’s best for partnered use, you should skip this one and consider the Lelo Ida Wave instead for something hands-free.

Further, anyone who needs deep, rumbly vibrations rather than lighter sensations would be better served by a stronger toy, like the Lovense Domi 2 wand.

We-Vibe Chorus, Tiani 3, and Dame Eva

Lelo Tiani 3 vs. Tiani 2

Tiani 2 and Tiani 3 have several things in common. First, they come in the same three colors and have eight settings. They are waterproof, come with remotes with SenseMotion, and have the same usage and charge times. In the image below, you can see the two Lelo toys side by side.

Tiani 3 and Tiani 2

However, the Tiani 3 has some key upgrades and design differences that are important to consider before deciding which to purchase. The Tiani 3’s clitoral arm is squared off, making the vibrating sensation better for people who like broader stimulation. And the Tiani 2’s clitoral arm comes to a point, perfect for pinpoint vibrations.

The Tiani 3 is slightly heavier (1.5 ounces compared to Tiani 2’s 1 ounce), and its insertable length is longer, too (Tiani 2 was 2.9”, while Tiani 3 is fittingly, 3”).

The Tiani 2 also comes with an additional arm, so you can choose whether you find the slimmer or slightly larger arm more comfortable for your vagina. I did miss this upgrade, and so will all the people who don’t fit the one size that the Tiani 3 provides.

You can grab a Tiani 2 for $150—less if you have a coupon code. You can read my Lelo Tiani 2 review here.

Lelo Tiani 3 vs. Lelo Ida Wave

The Ida Wave is another dual-simulation offering from Lelo. However, it’s meant for solo play rather than partnered play, but it’s app-controlled, making it great for long-distance couples. The internal arm uses WaveMotion technology to mimic the sensation of fingering while the external component vibrates against the clitoris. It has ten settings, two colors (coral red and black), is waterproof, and is perfect for hands-free masturbating.

Lelo Ida Wave

Grab an Ida Wave for $189. It is on sale frequently, so keep your eyes peeled for a coupon code. You can read our Lelo Ida Wave review here.

Lelo Tiani 3 vs. We-Vibe Chorus

The We-Vibe Chorus is a similarly shaped couples’ vibrator with an internal and external arm for stimulation. One of the main features distinguishing the Chorus is that it has an app for long-distance play and touch sense mode.

We-Vibe Chorus

Touch sense mode means the toy’s intensity levels increase with contact from your partner’s body, making the sensation intuitive and natural during partnered sex. The We-Vibe Chorus also comes with a remote control that responds to squeezing to increase the intensity levels, another intuitive choice. The Chorus is much more complicated to operate and has rumblier vibrations, but its shape is bulkier and it’s more challenging to get it to stay in position.

You can purchase a We-Vibe Chorus for $199. And you can read our We-Vibe Chorus review here.

Lelo Tiani 3 vs. We-Vibe Sync

The We-Vibe Sync is a couples vibrator with a storage container rather than a bag. It connects to an app, like the Chorus, and is excellent for long-distance use. The Sync is slightly slimmer than the Chorus and puts less pressure on the G spot during sex with a partner. It’s also better for rumbly vibrations, while the Sync is perfect for anyone who wants a little buzz.

We-Vibe Sync

The We-Vibe Sync also doesn’t have a remote control, but it is much cheaper than the Sync and the LELO couples toy at just $149. You can read our We-Vibe Sync review here.

Lelo Tiani 3 vs. Dame Eva

Dame Eva is another couples’ vibrator, but it’s not shaped like all the others. It looks like a little bug with two antennae that stick out from its body. This vibrator is hands-free, but instead of having an arm that stays put once thanks to the inserted vaginal component, this model has two flexible wings that rest against your labia to help it stay in place.

Dame Eva ii

This design is ideal, especially for people with smaller vaginal canals who experience pain during intercourse. Adding an extra arm may not work for them. Eva’s battery life is much better—mine lasted over five hours.

The Eva has a three-year warranty, but it’s also difficult to keep in place if you use lube. So, the Tiani 3 is better for people who don’t mind the inner arm and don’t need as long of a battery. Dame Eva will work better for people who don’t often use lube, are experiencing sexual pain, or whose partner’s penis doesn’t enjoy the sensation of strong vibrations.

You can grab one for $135. And you can read our Dame Eva review here.
