For this article, she recruited our experienced testers, Sandra Larson, Tim Larson, and Shane Davis, for a one-month testing exercise to ensure a diverse range of opinions were heard. How We Picked the Products
I started the exercise by distributing a questionnaire to my My Sex Toy Guide colleagues. Among the most important questions were their LELO toy recommendations, with an adjoined query on why they chose the specific models. I picked 20 different LELO sex toys from the responses and distributed them among the sex experts for a comprehensive testing exercise. Newer models, like Lelo Dot, Soraya Beads, Enigma Wave, and Ida Wave, were added, while older models, like Lelo Soraya 2, Lelo Lyla 2, Lelo Liv 2, and Lelo Ina 2, were removed from this year’s list.
I also defined 7 test criteria that motivate consumers’ purchase decisions that we could measure on a scale from 0 to 100. These included the following:
- Design. Like Womanizer, LELO’s toys share certain design aspects. However, they’re not identical, with some dedicated to internal stimulation and others clit stimulation. As always, I advised the reviewers to treat every sex toy differently, focusing on the design in relation to its specific sexual role – clitoral, vaginal, or both.
- Settings. The more settings there are, the more versatile a model is because beginners and experienced users can enjoy the sensations equally. Of course, there’s more to the number of settings, including the price tag, so, we tried to factor everything in when choosing our review samples.
- Versatility. We all love a versatile toy. Don’t we? While not every LELO toy will have multiple forms of stimulation, we paid attention to those that did to ensure people looking for a blended orgasm had a wide range of options.
- Sound Level. Unfortunately, you can’t separate vibrations from the somewhat annoying rumbly noise. While how faint or intense the noise is depends on multiple factors, you might have to get creative with music, shower water, or a duvet to silence it. So, to help you know what to expect, we tested the noise level at the lowest and highest settings.
- Extra Bells and Whistles. Every device has a specific feature(s) that sets it apart. Some bells and whistles we rewarded included a waterproof build and a remote control or smartphone app.
During testing, we rated each test criterion on a percentage scale from 0% (Worst) to 100% (Best). We then calculated the overall score using different weighted metrics depending on the importance of the test criteria. Half the total rating comes from Stimulations (25%) and Design (25%). After that comes Settings (10%), Build Quality (10%), and Versatility (10%).
Once the team returned with the findings, I assembled a second team. We reviewed each report, picking the standout features to use later in the decision-making phase. I also researched consumer reviews and adult forums to understand what real customers thought about the products. It’s from this collective and positive collaborative work that we believe these are this year’s best LELO vibrators!

1. LELO Soya Wave: Our Overall Test Winner!
Why we love LELO Soraya Wave:
It was actually a tough decision to pick the winner among so many high-quality products, but if someone has to twist our arm, we have to say Soraya Wave. The rabbit vibrator has an unassuming yet practical design with a unique dual stimulation function that stands out from the competition. The testers also praised the luxurious packaging (image below), which is typical for most LELO products.
Another highly rated feature was the patented WaveMotion technology for precise and intense vaginal stimulation. Unlike traditional G-spot sex toys, the technology gives the user a come-hither motion, an up-and-down movement around the tip, making it feel like someone is using their finger to tap your G-spot. Outstanding!
Our tester Sandra Larson summarized the internal arm like this: “The come-hither motion felt incredibly realistic! I felt like my husband Tim was doing the finger thing I love inside my vagina. Especially when I cranked up the volume, the experience was out of this world.”
Something else that stood out was the flexible flickering arm. The testers found its position and angle easier to manipulate than the other models we reviewed, so it rests on the clitoris at the perfect spot. With up to eight settings, including one where you can turn off the come-hither motion for clitoral vibes only, exploring this bad boy was an enjoyable ride for everyone.
So, how easy was it to use? Well, you will be glad to know that Soraya has 3-easy push buttons (circled in red above) to cycle through the eight settings and a finger loop handle (circled in blue above) that significantly simplifies the user experience. “With a large percentage of the sex toy covered in grippy silicone, handling is relatively easy,” our tester Rachel Sommer added.
Minor issues we found during testing:
Unfortunately, you can’t operate G-spot stimulation and clitoral vibration independently. Even though one mode among the eight turns off either stimulation so you can enjoy the other, independent control would have been better.
In addition, it makes a sound similar to a sitting-in-a-dentist’s-chair situation, like the whir and whine of teeth cleaning. It’s not loud and definitely not a deal-breaker, but it’s a weird sound coming from such a quality product.
Why LELO Soraya Wave is the best LELO vibrator:
Soraya Wave got the most praise of the dozens of LELO products we tested. Especially three key decision-making factors stood out from the rest:
- Stimulations: The possibility for multiple orgasms and the flexible shape. “The shape and fit were dead on for me. I used the handle to insert it, but once it was in, I didn’t need to continue holding it (or my body) in a specific spot for it to work,” our tester Angela Kemp wrote in her review. Overall, Soraya Wave received an average score of 95% in the stimulation category.
- Design: The LELO rabbit vibrator perplexed the team with its admirable come-hither motion, unlike anything they’d experienced.

Something else I found exciting was the easy-to-use finger loop handle (image below). Having a way to grasp onto the body simplified handling significantly, and LELO Dot was no exception. “The outer side of the handle is also made from silicone, adding an element of grip that makes the user experience much more manageable,” our tester Sandra Larson clarified.
Dot has an impressive range of 8 modes. We found the lowest setting to have a formidable kick, which only gets intense as you scale up the ladder. And with LELO’s innovative Loop technology, an oscillation type of motion, the maintained rumble felt incredible. Just wow!
The testers also rated Dot as “Very Versatile.” They especially highlighted the waterproof design, which means you can take a dip in the bath without worrying. Something else we loved was the fairly well-raised 3-button control interface, which makes it easy to control, even for beginners.
Minor issues we found during testing:
People with sensitive clits who prefer to be stimulated more broadly rather than in a very specific sense may not like the pinpoint sensations. And if you’re looking to climax quickly in a rumbling fashion, I suggest another toy since DOT is on the buzzier side of the spectrum.
In addition, LELO Dot is the most expensive LELO clit vibrator, and not everyone will be eager to splash $179.
Why LELO Dot is most effective for pinpoint stimulations:
If you love pinpoint clitoral stimulations, DOT is by far the most effective Lelo vibrator on the market. Let’s look at the raw test data to see how we motivated our decision.
- Material: The luxurious feel of the thin, silky, soft tip, combined with the ergonomic shape, giving you a firm grip and total control, is truly effective and impressive (Average score: 92%).
- Design: The testers also raved about the minimalist design that made it easy to cycle between the settings. “Not once did I lose my grip on the toy, even when using a lot of lube,” our tester Rachel Sommer said. “The LELO DOT design is also pretty intuitive, so I didn’t feel like I had to look at the toy to know which button to press,” she continued.”

Why we love LELO Sila:
Moving on to something for the folks that require broader stimulations: the LELO Sila. The Gastropod shell-like design has a soft silicone mouth on one end to completely cover the clitoral hood and inject intense pleasure waves deep into the clit’s nerve endings. With 8 sonic wave intensities, you can be sure of progressive satisfaction.
Unlike conventional vibrators, LELO Sila uses pulse suction waves that are more discreet and effective. “It felt like someone was sucking my vagina lips and releasing them in a sustained rhythm,” our tester Sandra Larson wrote in her test report. “Besides being super realistic, I could regulate the intensity with the touch of a button, making it even better than the real thing,” she added.
Besides the ultra-smooth silicone material, we appreciated the extra wide mouth (circled above). It covered the entire clitoral hood on all team members, so the sonic waves were evenly distributed. In addition, the silicone body, coupled with its relatively small size, feels great on the palm. No other products did this better than Sila.

Minor issues we found during testing:
Unfortunately, it only comes with one mouth option. No two vaginas are the same, and other brands have replacement heads to help vulva owners get the right fit. If you’re unsure about fitting, I recommend buying a cheaper toy first.
The battery life was also a minor concern. The manual says it will last two hours, but when I used the lowest setting, it lasted only one hour and four minutes. So if you love longer sessions, you may have to look elsewhere.
Finally, LELO Sila is up there with the most expensive clitoral sex toys. It costs $169, a price tag most people will consider pricey.
Why LELO Sila is the most effective for broader stimulations:
If pinpoint clit stimulations are not your thang, you should look into LELO Sila, as it got the highest ratings for ‘even sensation distribution.’ by our testers. The vibe’s wider mouth covers the clit, preventing any sonic wave loss. In addition, it performed well in the following test criteria:
- Design The reviewers lauded its unique way of stimulating the clitoris, the relatively small and easy-to-handle size, and multiple intensity settings. “The broad sensations this clitoral stimulator provides felt gentler, and I didn’t become overwhelmed so quickly,” one tester said.

Like other wand massagers, the smart wand from LELO has a massive head at the top, a demarcating neck, and a long handle to simplify the user experience. “I especially loved the slight curve on the handle with a slimmer midpoint to enhance handling, even for people with small hands,” Sandra Larson told me. “Another design tweak that stood out was the wide flexible head and posable neck (circled below), which made it easy to target specific spots of the clitoris,” she clarified.

Minor issues we found during testing:
Like IDA above, the charging port is uncovered, so take care not to get liquids inside.
As expected, the Smart Wand can be a little too loud, especially in high settings. Also, LELO did away with the SenseTouch technology [3] available in the predecessor, which I found to be a weird omission.
Why LELO Smart Wand 2 has the strongest vibrations:
- Stimulations: Smart Wand 2 has a massive motor under its broad head, a feature that can only point to powerful vibrations. The test panel noted that the wand’s broad head also helped distribute the rumbles over a large area of the clitoris for more impact. With up to 10 vibration modes, each with adjustable speeds, my colleagues rated it as the “Most Powerful.”
- Sound Level: Another major advantage is it’s one of the quietest wand vibrators we have tested. “The lower vibration levels were so quiet I could barely hear them. And the vibrations on the higher settings were noticeably louder, but they couldn’t be heard through the bedroom door,” one reviewer said.

Unfortunately, LELO Gigi 2’s handle is made of ABS plastic. While the material is body-safe, it complicates handling, especially when you have lube on your hands. In addition, it’s comparatively expensive – $149.
Why LELO Gigi 2 is the most beginner-friendly:
Most reviewers agree that Gigi 2 lacked in the power department. But everyone agreed that the flat tip made stimulating the upper vagina wall easy, making it an excellent option for beginners starting their G-spot journey. Let’s look at the raw review data to see what else made it beginner-friendly:
- Ease of Use: Another newbie-friendly feature was the impressive user experience, bar the ABS handle. Other facets, like the flat face and curved head, scored highest in promoting precise and internal stimulation.
