Lelo Soraya Wave Review 2024: One Thing You NEED To Know!

Lelo Soraya Wave

At the intersection of sex toys and psychology, there has been much hand-wringing over whether sex toys could replace human connection. The consensus has overwhelmingly been that no, they can’t. Yet, now there’s a rabbit vibe on the market that mimics the sensations of someone stroking your G-spot, so perhaps we have reason to worry. What’s next? A vibrator that will take me out for tacos? I’ll keep my fingers crossed. This novel twist on a beloved classic meant I was extra excited to start testing my Lelo Soraya Wave!

Key Takeaways
4.7 out of 5 stars

I hate words like game changers, but Soraya Wave may have changed my masturbation routine forever. I simply adore the G-spot and clitoral stimulations, and it has enough power to make me orgasm again and again. In other words, I’m dating this vibrator now!

Who Should Try It? If you want a dual-stimulation toy with a realistic fingering motion, Soraya Wave is for you.

Who Can Skip It? One issue with Soraya Wave is the noise level. It’s not super loud and definitely not a deal-breaker, but if you need complete silence, you may want to buy a more silent vibrator like Womanizer Liberty (the quietest model we tested) or Lovense Hyphy (the second quietest we tested).

What Is The Lelo Soraya Wave?

Soraya Wave is a rabbit vibrator with a welcome new twist: it combines clit vibration with a come-hither motion (or, as they call it, wave motion technology) that feels like getting fingered and having clitoral stimulation at the same time.

The content of the box

Packaging

Lelo does packaging right. The box it comes in is sturdy and giftable, and their toys always come equipped with everything you need: a storage bag, user manual, and USB charging cable.

Material

The Soraya Wave is made from body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. Their toys are always super luxurious and some of the softest I have, which is a plus. Plus, it comes in three colors: midnight blue, deep rose, and black.

Dimensions

This toy is a longer one, but it’s not huge. It fits in my purse just fine.

Body

The body of this toy is that signature silicone with plastic accents. It also has a handle, which makes holding it easy—it’s the next best thing to a hands-free toy.

The device charging

Battery Life and Charging

The user manual estimated that the Soraya Wave would last two hours and charge for two hours.

When I tested the battery on the lowest setting after charging it overnight, it lasted for just one hour, which was disappointing, given the company’s appraisal. To charge, it took forty minutes. It seemed weird, so I tested it again. During my second test, the battery lasted one hour and ten minutes and charged in thirty minutes. So, they may have overestimated the battery life and the charge time quite a bit.

The indicator light blinks when running low and stays lit when the device is fully charged.

Lelo Soraya Wave

As a sex toy reviewer, I appreciate that all of their toys (at least the ones I’ve tried) can share a cord. Having just one cable for any Lelo toy simplifies things for people with multiple toys and a sense of brand loyalty. As for me, I must use a color-coded labeling system, lest my bedroom turns into a USB cord jungle.

Warranty and Support

This rabbit vibe comes with a one-year warranty.

Cleaning

This toy is waterproof, so cleaning is mostly straightforward. You can spritz with toy cleaner and then rinse or use soap and warm water. Since there are seams between the plastic and the silicone, you’ll want to grab a toothbrush for deep cleaning.

How To Use Lelo Soraya Wave

The Soraya Wave has three buttons as its interface:

  1. Pressing the middle button turns the toy on and off and then cycles through the eight vibration patterns.
  2. The plus button increases the intensity, and the minus button decreases it.
  3. If you press the minus button too many times, the toy will shut off, so keep that in mind so that you don’t accidentally ruin your orgasm.

One downside of the controls is you can’t operate the G-spot stimulation and the clitoral vibration separately. There are eight settings, including one where the G-spot come hither motion turns off and it’s just clitoral vibes, and another where the clitoral vibrations turn off and it’s just the G-spot stimulation. But there’s no way to turn up the speed of the G spot action—turning the intensity up changes the vibrations but not the speed of the motion.

To use the travel lock, hold the plus and minus down for five seconds. This sequence will both lock and unlock it for travel.

Keep in mind that the manual suggests that you not leave the toy in the sunlight or expose it to extreme heat, so I guess this is one wave you won’t see at the beach.

My Personal Experience

Design

Sometimes, sex toys surprise me. The Soraya Wave was one such toy. These dual-function toys are exceedingly hard to get right because so many people have differently shaped and spaced vulvas and clits. Any precision is next to impossible. Making something that reaches the right places and stimulates everyone is such a tall order.

Most toy companies have the good sense to make devices like these very flexible so they have the best chance of feeling good to a significant percentage of bodies. But when I use them, I typically have to tweak and tweak until I get exactly the proper position.

Ease Of Use

When I turned this on for the unboxing video, my initial gut reaction was that the clitoral vibrations would be too weak compared with the G spot action.

Fortunately, this wasn’t the case with this toy, and my suspicions were proved wrong. The shape and fit were dead on for me. I used the handle to insert it, but once it was in, I didn’t need to continue holding it (or my body) in a specific spot for it to work. It’s not hands-free exactly, but it just worked, like some sex toy sorcery.

I also appreciate that it’s not super bulky. I don’t like huge internal toys, and the slender shape of this device was just perfect.

Stimulations

The dual stimulation on this thing definitely has the capability to give you multiple orgasms, much more so than other rabbit vibrators, thanks in part to the wave technology.

When I tried it out, the clit vibrating arm was the perfect strength to make powerful orgasms come easily, and though it was small, the vibrator easily reached my clit. The first orgasm was almost Exorcist-level frightening. In my opinion, other toys can’t compare to the different sensations of pleasure this toy offers.

Settings

I tried all the patterns on my new toy, and despite what I’ve said in some of my other reviews, this time, I liked them. They added a level of interest to my clitoris, so I could keep playing without feeling numb to the pleasure by the time I was on my third orgasm.

Sound Level

One minor point of irritation: this toy makes a sound that gives me sitting-in-a-dentist’s-chair vibes. The whir and whine are very much like having your teeth cleaned. If this isn’t your kink, turn on some music. It’s not super loud and definitely not a deal-breaker, but it’s a weird noise coming from a quality toy.

Cleaning

I was worried it would be tough to clean since there was an entire seam between the plastic and the silicone on the internal stimulation arm, but it wasn’t as difficult as I had imagined.

Overall Rating4.7 out of 5 stars

I hate to use terms like game-changer, so I won’t. This product won’t change my masturbation routine necessarily, but it will be a fun addition when I want two types of stimulation at the same time. And when I want an internal-stimulating toy, this new vibrator might be the first one I reach for. The clitoral stimulator is even perfect to use on its own.

Overall, this is one of my best rabbit vibrator models since it has G-spot stimulation and a clitoral stimulator in one. In other words, I’m dating this sex toy now.

Pros

  • Waterproof
  • Travel-lock
  • Elegant
  • Great for internal stimulation and clitoral stimulation
  • Flexible and super soft
  • Wave motion technology feels as good as it sounds

Cons

  • $249 price tag
  • Kind of loud
  • The battery life is not great.

Who Should Try It

Anyone who knows that they love G spot stimulation and clitoral vibration, this toy is for you.

Who Can Skip This Sex Toy

If you prefer toys that exclusively pleasure your clitoris or if controlling the settings of your toy separately is your top priority, you’ll want to find something else.

How It Stacks Up Against Other Lelo Toys

4 rabbit vibrators

Lelo Enigma

The Lelo Enigma is the most similar to this toy since it’s another dual-function toy from Lelo. The Enigma employs G-spot vibration and clitoral suction, so it’s a different experience from the come hither motion and clitoral vibration that the Soraya Wave uses. Plus, the Enigma costs $189, so it’s a bit cheaper.

Lelo Soraya

The Lelo Soraya is the original version of this rabbit vibrator. It doesn’t have wave technology so you won’t have that distinct, come-hither sensation. The G-spot arm vibrates, as does the clitoral arm. It might be challenging to find since the manufacturer no longer offers it.

Lelo Soraya 2

The Lelo Soraya 2 has several upgraded features from the original, including four new settings, a thicker G-spot tip, and softer silicone. Lelo recalculated the angle so it hits G-spots more easily.

It costs $219, a bit of a price break from the Soraya Wave, and both are safe for anal play. The Soraya 2 lasts up to four hours, or so the manual says. Keep in mind that it doesn’t have wave motion technology, though, just vibrations on both ends.

Lelo Ina Wave

Another rabbit vibrator, the Lelo Ina Wave, is quite different. For one, the Soraya Wave is much prettier, but the Ina Wave costs only $179. They use the same wave motion tech to bring you to climax, but the Ina Wave is longer and girthier and has ten different patterns.

Alternatives to the Soraya Wave

In this chapter, you can see a comparison table and shorter reviews of alternative products we tested. As you can see, each row has the test criteria our team used during the testing. To make our testing process even more transparent, we also included the raw test data so you can see how the products performed with each test criteria.

We-Vibe Nova 2

The We-Vibe Nova 2 isn’t as sexy as the Soraya Wave, but it costs around $150. The internal arm of the Nova 2 is posable, so you can move it to the angle you prefer—a handy feature for people who love flexibility or will be using this toy with multiple partners.

The box opened showing all the components

The other notable function is that the Nova 2 is app controllable, perfect for partners in long-distance relationships.

Womanizer Duo 2

Another modern take on the rabbit vibrator is the Womanizer Duo 2. The Duo 2 has internal G spot stimulation plus clitoral suction. And it’s got a leg up on the Soraya Wave since you can control those functions separately. The main difference is the suction versus the vibration.

Womanizer Duo 2

The Duo 2 is cheaper. It costs $219, so both are unquestionably well into the luxury pricing category. You can read my complete review here.
