I recently reviewed the Screamer Dual Hook, which blew my mind, so I was extremely excited to start testing my Wild Side Sex Swing.
Trying the Wild Side Sex Swing was a ton of fun. Even though I prefer subtler toys you can slip in and out without considerable effort; it’s worth it. It’s worth the space, the time (which is minimal), and the money because of all the different positions you can try and how different sexual intercourse feels. Highly recommended!
Who Should Try It? It’s perfect for budget-seekers who still want a quality, comfortable swing. Without the stand, it doesn’t take up much space, and it’s easy to store away.

What Is The Wild Side Sex Swing?
Quality sex swings, in general, are reasonably pricey. The Wild Side Sex Swing has a lot in common with the Screamer Dual Hook, but it comes at a lower price with fewer amenities. A budget option for people who can’t afford to spend an arm and a leg on sex furniture is welcome and necessary.
I also got to try out the Screamer Leather Cuff Set, which includes four leather cuffs and faux fur lining.
Let’s talk about the pros and cons of this sex swing and how this budget version might mean you could have acrobatic sex before you know it.
First Impressions & Features

Packaging
This toy didn’t have much in the way of packaging. With big, expensive sex toys like this, the packaging is minimal and utilitarian. So, if you want to make this toy giftable, you’ll have to wrap it yourself.
It was shipped discreetly, which is always a plus.
Material
Wild Side is made of cotton canvas. It’s not the softest material, but it’s perfectly comfortable and feels strong enough to support a person without confining them. And it’s much more comfortable than the swings that come without padding.
Dimensions
The sex swing itself isn’t massive, and you can easily store it in a bag in your closet. But, using it with a stand will take up quite a bit of space in your bedroom.
The strap width is half the size of the Screamer. The stirrup loops on the Wild Side are a bit shorter, too: 26” compared to 35”. But both worked just fine for me.
Assembly
The time it takes to assemble this swing (even with the stand) is minimal. This time, I timed myself putting it together. It took four minutes to put the stand together without the bondage points, two minutes to add the bondage points, and three to attach the Wild Side Sex Swing and adjust the straps to a comfortable position.
Remember that I hadn’t put Wild Side together before, and it still took only three minutes, which is impressive. The second time it took about thirty seconds. It’s incredibly intuitive.
Stand
I used Wild Side with the Screamer Swing Stand (which costs $399). But you could go many other, cheaper routes. For instance, you could buy a couple of welded eye hooks at your local home improvement shop for a couple of bucks and hang the swing from ceiling joists. You could also use a fully secured chin-up bar. Check out the company’s list of seven ways to install it, all of which will work with it.
Attachments
Headrest
All the sex swings you buy on SexSwing.com will come with a free headrest, which is an absolute necessity. There’s just no way to hold your head up comfortably for the duration of sex.
Screamer Leather Cuff Set
The Screamer Leather Cuff Set doesn’t come with the Wild Side Sex Swing, but you can purchase it separately for $99. The cuffs are genuine leather, so it takes a bit for them to loosen up and become pliable. They are super soft and plush on the inside since they’re faux fur, making them comfy to wear for extended play sessions.
If you’re using the Screamer Swing Stand, there are many places to attach your partner to—12, to be precise. I found the high attachment points most comfortable for my arms in the facing-each-other position since you can reach the straps to reposition yourself if necessary. The hip height points were most comfortable during doggy style.
The straps are on the shorter side, so if you’re a small-limbed person, some attachment points might not be usable for you.
Overall, I found the cuff set to be comfy and high-quality, and I think they pair well with the stand.
Handles Not Included
While the Screamer came with grip attachments, it’s important to note that the Wild Side does not. If you want to use your hands for balance, you can purchase the handle set separately for $19.
Warranty and Support
I asked SexSwing.com about the warranty this toy came with, and they responded the next day, so I’m awarding them bonus points for fast customer service. The Wild Side model comes with a one-year warranty against defects.
Cleaning
This sex swing is machine-washable, an indispensable feature because anything you use for sex that you can’t wash will harbor tons of bacteria. After washing, hang it somewhere to air dry.
How To Use Wild Side Sex Swing?
- First, throw the sex swing in the wash and let it hang dry.
- Then, after you’ve determined how to install it, ensure it’s carefully and safely mounted.
- Finally, you put your backside in the main strap, adjust the back strap on your back, put your head on the headrest, and your feet through the stirrups.
- Then, you’re ready to go. It’s even more straightforward than it sounds.

My Personal Experience
Build Quality
I used Wild Side with the Screamer Sex Swing stand—the same stand I used for my Screamer Dual Hook Sex Swing Review. And, just like last time, the swing was super sturdy and easy to install. If you can afford it, I highly recommend buying both and using them together. Not once did I feel nervous about the structure collapsing, and that’s incredibly important when you’re swaying naked a couple of feet above the ground.
I have to say, trying this swing out for my review was a ton of fun. Even though I typically prefer subtle sex toys that you can slip in and out of partnered sex without a considerable effort, Wild Side is worth it. It’s worth the space, the time (which is minimal), and the money because of all the different positions you can try and how different sex feels.
This swing supports just 250 lbs, so it’s not an ideal option for both you and your partner to climb into it and jostle around unless you’re both on the smaller side. But I found that having one person on solid ground makes thrusting much easier, and you still get the fun, gravity-free, bouncing sensation.
Ease Of Use
When I tried it, I realized it is much harder for the person lying in this swing to move around even a little bit without handles. You lie there while the other person does most of the work. You can grab the straps, but pulling yourself up or repositioning without the handles is difficult. It’s not a deal-breaker, but the handles are unquestionably worth the extra expense if you want to be a more active participant.
Comfort
The first time I used Wild Side, I felt slightly uncomfortable. Even though the headrest completely supported my head, my neck felt strained. I did a little bit of problem-solving, and I moved the back support higher on my back. Before, it had been relatively low. So, if your neck seems tired with use, try repositioning the back strap because it will even out the distribution of weight and give your neck a break.
What Positions Are Possible?
If you move from the butterfly sex position (where the penetrating partner stands and the penetrated partner lies in the swing) to doggy style, you will need to lower the straps to a different height. Luckily, these straps hit the sweet spot of being easy to adjust and secure at the same time, so altering them mid-sex is not a big deal.
This swing also makes oral sex more comfortable for the giving partner’s back and neck since they can sit on the floor while the receiver is in the swing.
Also, I didn’t find doggy style comfortable in this sex swing. The strap across my stomach was slightly uncomfortable (especially without handles to help with the weight distribution). If I had just eaten lasagna, it would have been a grim situation indeed. If you want to have a lot of doggy-style sex, you may opt for the Screamer since the padding is a bit more luxe.
Though a sex swing is a big commitment in many ways—the space it takes up, the money you spend—it’s honestly not a significant time commitment. It comes together in a flash, and it’s so easy you can put it up and take it down every time you have sex.

Overall, I think the Wild Side Sex Swing is an excellent investment for someone who wants to try an entry model before going for the luxury version.

If you want to try a sex swing, this is the one. You may want to install it in your ceiling before adding the extra expense of a sex swing stand, and that can give you a feel for how much use you’ll get out of it. Ensure the ceiling hooks are installed correctly and securely—not just into the drywall!
Wild Side is perfect for people on a budget who still want a quality, comfortable swing. However, if you need your hands for balance or mobility, you’ll probably want to add handles to your purchase. Without the stand, this toy doesn’t take up much space and is easy to hide away somewhere.

Screamer Dual Hook Sex Swing
The Screamer Dual Hook is perhaps the gold standard of sex swings and has the price tag to prove it. It costs $219, a hundred dollars more than the Wild Side. The Screamer is noticeably more soft, comfortable, and luxurious.
I’d compare the comfort levels to flying. The Screamer Dual Hook is like flying first-class, the Wild Side is like coach, and the sex swings that don’t have any padding on the straps are like flying in the plane’s cargo compartment. It’s also the best product in our comprehensive sex swing review.
The Screamer also holds up to 300 lbs rather than 250 like the Wild Side, so it can accommodate a wider variety of bodies. However, the Wild Side comes in a more extensive selection of colors, handy for those who would like a sex swing that matches their décor. Fetish Deluxe Door Swing
The Fetish Deluxe Door Swing is even cheaper than the Wild Side—it costs just $54. However, you won’t have many options for different positions with a door swing because you’ll be butting right up against a door.
The door swing will make the I’ve-got-to-have-you-right-now sex up against a door much more feasible for people who aren’t covered top to bottom in muscles. And, it’s perfect for travel. Plus, the door swing also comes with handles, which will make maneuvering a bit easier.
However, if you want some variety in sex positions, the Wild Side is worth the extra expense.
Fetish Fantasy Bondage Swing
The Fetish Fantasy Bondage Swing is a single hook swing that costs $169—more than the Wild Side but less than the Screamer. The bondage swing has coated neoprene, and instead of handles, it comes with cuffs, perfect for keeping your wriggly partner exactly where you want them. It has stirrups as well.
However, it doesn’t come with a storage bag, and since it’s a single-hook style of swing, if you’re bigger, you might find it pinches in the hip and thigh area. It holds up to 200 lbs (or 350 without the spring).
