LELO’s products always come in pretty elegant packaging, and the ORA 3 was no exception. The black box is embossed with a subtle snakeskin print, with all text written in luxurious metallic gold. A window displays the equally luxurious toy, so you know exactly what you’re in for once you lay your eyes on the package.
After opening the box, you will find a satin storage pouch, a USD charging chord, a small manual, a warranty card as well as a small packet of lube to get you started.
Material
The body is wrapped in a luxurious feeling, body-safe silicone. This silicone covers the entire outer surface of the toy, with metallic gold plastic covering the center.
I have said it many times before, but the silicone on the LELO products feels much softer than most of the toys on the market, making holding it a pleasure. The soft silicone is malleable enough to move with the tongue simulator, making it soft against the clit.
Dimensions
The ORA 3 is circular and measures just over 3 inches directly down from the tip of the tongue. The widest point from edge-to-edge of the tongue simulator is 1.7 inches, making the cunnilingus sex toy small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.
In addition, the handle is big enough to fit two fingers, measuring around 1.4 inches long and .8 inches wide.
Body
As mentioned above, the body is circular, which looks spectacular and aids in the functionality of the tongue simulator. The handle is placed precisely in the right place to hold it comfortably on the clitoris.
Battery and Charging
The LELO ORA 3 is delivered to you precharged and locked. To start using the toy, put it on charge for at least 2 hours. This will unlock the travel lock and charge the battery sufficiently, so you’re not stuck mid-session with a dead vibrator. After the first charge, it should take around 1.5 – 2 hours to charge and run for about 1 hour.
The charging port is located quite close to the tongue simulator. It is uncovered, so be extra careful when using lube, as getting any liquid in the port may damage it. The ORA 3 comes with a USB charging cord you plug into any standard USB port.

How to Use LELO ORA 3?
- To use ORA 3, remove it from its packaging and give the toy a thorough clean using the instructions above.
- Place the vibrator on charge for a minimum of two hours, prolonging the battery’s life while eliminating the risk of it dying mid-session.
- Next, set the scene to help you get in the mood, for example, lighting a candle or playing some relaxing music.
- After that, grab some water-based lubricant and lube up yourself and the toy.
- Turn the toy on using the ‘+’ and then cycle through the vibrational patterns using the ‘()’ button until you find something pleasurable.
- If you like to increase the vibration, press the ‘+’ button, and use the ‘-‘ button to decrease them. Get curious and play around with the multiple settings.
- You can use this toy for solo play or foreplay with a partner. Personally, I wouldn’t use it while having penetrative sex with a partner with a penis or strap-on, as I find it gets in the way of the experience and takes up a lot of room on the vulva. But that’s just me!
The controls of the LELO ORA 3 are simple to use. All in all, there are three buttons, two to control the intensity of the vibrations and one to cycle through the different vibrational patterns.
- To turn the power on, press the ‘+’ button.
- This button is also used to increase the intensity of the vibrations.
- To turn it off, press and hold the ‘-‘ button; this button also works to decrease the vibration intensity.
- To cycle through the different vibration patterns, click on the ‘()’ button.
- The toy has 12 different patterns, so cycle through until you find something that brings you pleasure.
- The LELO ORA 3 comes equipped with a travel lock so that you can lock the toy when not in use. To do this, hold down the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons simultaneously for around 3 seconds. To unlock, repeat the same process.

My Personal Experience
Design
This unique toy is designed to simulate oral sex, and it does a pretty good job of doing so. The pleasure nub is covered with soft silicone, which feels fantastic against the skin. It provides a firm pressure against the clit while rotating.
However, the major downside of the design is that the circular constructions cover quite a lot of the vulva and make it hard to use with a partner during penis penetration. I would have also liked the toy to have slightly higher vibrations, as I found it somewhat dull.
Settings
There are 12 different vibrational settings on the ORA 3 that offer several different sensations around the clit. These settings are a mixture of motions made by the tongue simulator and different vibrational patterns similar to traditional sex toys.
I personally really enjoyed the 360 motion of the tongue stimulator, with a continuous buzz, as this continuously circled around my clitoris with a firm motion and constant vibrations.
Stimulations
I don’t even know where to begin with this one. The ORA 3 was like no other clitoral vibrator I’ve used. While it didn’t feel like the real thing, I can understand how this toy is marketed as a toy that simulates oral sex, as the rotating nub slightly resembled the feeling of a tongue on the clit.
But tongues don’t vibrate, so it felt a little more intense and stimulating than regular oral. I used it several times before writing this review. I could orgasm reliably every time, as the rotations around the clit felt amazing, as the ORA 3 provided just the right amount of pressure and speed!
Build Quality
The quality of all the higher-end LELO sex toys is exceptional, and the ORA 3 is no exception. The gold detailing and the softness of the silicone make the toy look and feel like a glamorous beauty accessory that you could keep on the bathroom counter.
On the ORA 3, the quality also extends to the mechanical construction. The rotating nub is just the right shape and applies perfect pressure on the clit.
Charging
I love that LELO products flash a white light around the controls when they’re almost flat, reducing the risk of the toy dying on you when you’re about to orgasm. Another great charging feature is that the same lights will blink while the toy is charging and then turn to a steady white light to notify you that the toy is fully charged.
The ORA 3 takes around 1.5- 2 hours to charge and lasts for about an hour, which isn’t ideal. Another disappointing aspect of this toy is that the uncovered charging port is located right next to the vibrating nub, which had me worried when using it that I would accidentally damage it with lube. It’s similar to all LELO products and is something I hope LELO will address in the future.
Sound Level
The LELO website says that ORA 3 produces around 50dB of sound on the highest setting, which for context, is about the same sound produced in a quiet office or light rain. However, I found this to be a little louder than office chat and slightly louder than the average vibrator.
When I placed the vibe inside a room on the highest setting, I could hear it slightly, sounding like a slight hum, similar to the noise a fridge makes. The sound wasn’t immediately identifiable as a vibrator, so if you have roommates, you shouldn’t have to worry about the sound.
Shipping
When first purchasing the LELO oral sex simulator, it took a couple of days before it was shipped out, and I received a tracking number. After waiting about three days, I emailed customer service, who quickly responded, and the ORA 3 was shipped out that day. How to clean the LELO ORA 3?
To clean the LELO ORA 3, use hot soapy water and a fragrance-free, anti-bacterial soap and give it a good clean. Then either dry the toy using a lint-free cloth or leave it to air dry before storing it away. Alternatively, if you have a sex toy cleaner, you can use this to spray on the toy and then rinse it off and wait for it to dry. Once dry, store it away in a clean, dry space, free from dust and direct sunlight.
Pro Tip: Never use chemicals such as alcohol to clean the toy, as this will damage the silicone. Do not clean the toy in the dishwasher or with boiling water on the stove, as this will damage the motor in the toy.
And as always, give the toy a thorough clean before and after each use.
How to charge It?
To charge the LELO ORA 3, plug the provided USB charging cord into a USB port, such as the one found on a phone charger or laptop, and plug the other end into the vibrator. LELO ORA 2 vs. LELO ORA 3
The LELO ORA 2 and LELO ORA 3 are similar in design. However, the LELO ORA 2 only has ten vibrational settings, compared to the LELO ORA 3s 12. The second iteration of the ORA features SenseTouch technology, which increases the vibrations the harder you press down on the toy.
I haven’t personally used the SenseTouch technology provided on some of the older LELO sex toys. Still, many reviewers said that they found this option annoying, which may be why it is now discontinued. The new iteration is also 25% faster than the ORA 2.
