Mantric Egg Vibrator Review 2024: Two Things You NEED To Know

Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Egg VibratorEgg vibrators are super fun toys as they can be used in many ways, from public play, long-distance play, solo play, and partnered play. As they are wearable and controlled by a remote, there are many ways to use them, particularly if you want to get creative. So I was eager to test the new Mantric love egg to see just what it could do.

Key Takeaways
3.8 out of 5 stars

My main issue with the Mantric is the vibrations. They weren’t that strong compared to other egg vibes I tested, and there’s no way to increase the intensity. In addition, it only has seven patterns, and the remote can only be used in a 13-foot radius, further limiting your play options. But I liked that it’s easy to use, especially with the nifty ring on the retrieval handle, making it an excellent choice for beginners.

Who Should Try It? Anyone looking for an egg vibrator without all the bells and whistles. If you’re not too fussy about sex toys, this would be a perfect egg, as it has everything you need and nothing you don’t. As it’s a little loud, it’s probably best for people without lurking roommates, family, or little ears around.

Who Can Skip It? Anyone looking for a more versatile toy with solid and rumbly vibrations. If this is you, consider paying a little extra and buying an egg vibe with app control, like Lovense Lush 3. These vibes often allow you to increase the vibration intensity to a level that suits you and can be used with a long-distance partner.

First impressions and features

My first impressions were that Mantric is on the better side of average. There’s not too much to say about this toy. It does everything it is supposed to, is made of good material, and is easy to control.

The only thing that let me down was the instructions, as they were only a handful of paragraphs and weren’t very descriptive. This minor flaw made it hard to figure out how to charge both devices, as I couldn’t find the charging ports on the egg and the remote control. When looking to the manual for guidance, the only information I was given was to put the charging cord into the charging port.

Unboxing

The packing was fairly basic but nice. It came in a plain cardboard box, with only the log printed on it, and looked like it could contain a candle or something similar.

The content of the box

When opening the box, the internal packing is also simple, with Mantric being hidden from the eye due to it being wrapped in plastic. The box contains a manual and warranty booklet, a USB charger cord, the vibrator, and a remote control. Unlike most sex toys of this price, the Mantric egg doesn’t come with a storage pouch, which is slightly disappointing.

Material

Both the remote control and the egg are covered in body-safe silicone that is smooth to the touch. The egg is entirely covered in silicone, including the retrieval handle. And the addition of silicone on the remote control makes it easy to hold, even with slippery hands.

Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Egg Vibrator

Mantric states that the silicone is self-healing; therefore, when first charging the devices, you will need to puncture the silicone to insert the charger. This design feature made it a little hard to tell where to insert the charging cord, but if you look very carefully, a small circle embossed on each device indicates where to place the charger.

Dimensions

The Mantric is similar in size to many other egg vibrators. However, it’s slightly on the smaller side with an insertable length measuring 3.5 inches long and a circumference of 4.25 inches. The retrieval arm on the bottom of the vibe measures 2.5 inches.

Body

The body is similar in size and shape to many of the other egg vibrators on the market. However, unlike many egg vibes, the Mantric features a ring-like remote covered in silicone, making it super easy to hold, even when wet.

Mantric and the remote controller

What is slightly annoying about having a remote and a vibrator is they both need charging. Luckily there’s only one USB charging cord with two pinpoint inputs, so you can charge both devices simultaneously with only one cord.

Specifications

  • Material: Non-Porous Silicone
  • Size: 7 inches long with a circumference of 4.25 inches and an insertable length of 3.5 inches
  • Color: Pink with a black remote
  • Mechanism: Internal egg vibrator with wireless remote
  • Cost: $79.99

How to use the Mantric Egg Vibrator?

First, charge both the remote control and egg to ensure it doesn’t die mid-session. Once it’s charged, give it a good clean using soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. Then get ready by setting the mood and lube up the egg and yourself.

  1. To turn it on, press and hold down the power button on the egg. The light on the button should then flash.
  2. Then head to the remote and hold the power button, which turns on the egg. You’ll know that remote it on, as its light will turn on.
  3. To cycle through vibration patterns, press the power button on the remote.
  4. There is no way to cycle through the patterns on the egg itself, but you can turn it off but holding down the power button.
  5. You can also turn off the egg by holding the remote’s power button. Once finished, remember to clean the toy and store it away properly.

The Mantric also features a travel lock for when you want to take the vibe away with you. To turn this on, hold down the power button on the egg for 3 seconds. The egg’s light should flash six times and vibrate twice to indicate that the travel lock is turned on. To turn the lock off, use the same directions, or plug it into the charger.

My Personal Experience

Packaging

The outside packing is relatively simple but doesn’t look too cheap. It’s definitely discreet as it looks like it would contain wellness products like soap or a candle. You could even leave this package on the dining table, and no one would know what’s inside.

The packaging

Design

I liked the design, particularly the remote. The ring shape of the remote allows for easy and sturdy holding, which is awesome when your hand is a bit wet from lube and other fluids. The remote is also made from silicone, which further enhances your grip. The only downside is you can only fit one finger inside the ring, as it may have felt more comfortable to hold if you could at least fit in two fingers.

Mantric itself is fairly standard in design, having everything you need and nothing you don’t. I liked the ring on the retrieval handle, as this also aided in removal when your hands are a bit wet. All-in-all, the design of the remote and vibe were pretty good, and some attention had gone into the ergonomics.

Ease of Use

Although this toy was super easy to use, it could have been more intuitive initially. When I first tried to turn it on, I experienced a bit of trouble figuring out how to do so. However, after reading the manual and realizing that you had to turn on both the remote and the vibe for it to turn on, I could control the device with ease.

Mantric Egg vibrator and the remote

Having said that, there aren’t that many features or vibrational patterns, so all that needed to be done to control the toy was to press a single button on the remote.

Having to rely on the remote to turn the vibe on and off and control the settings could be an annoyance if you lose the remote, so make sure you hold on to it.

Material

As stated above, both the remote and egg vibrator are covered entirely in silicone. This material feels soft and grippy but less soft than some higher-end silicone toys.

Build Quality

The build quality of this toy was adequate. Both the remote control and the toy felt study, and the silicone felt soft. The retrieval handle and ring-like remote control made it easy to use, particularly with wet hands.

Stimulations

The vibrations weren’t that strong, and there was no way to increase the intensity of the vibrations, which was a bit of a letdown. It would have been a much better toy if there was the ability to increase the vibes, but you could still have some fun using the toy while receiving oral sex.

Sound Level

The noise level of the Mantric Egg was high when measured outside of the vagina, measuring  80 decibels, which is about the same amount of sound emitted by someone singing. If you’re using it in a quiet room and don’t want people to hear you, I’d suggest putting on some background noise, like music or a movie.

Screenshot from my decibel app showing Mantric's sound level.

Versatility

The Mantric isn’t that versatile as it only has seven patterns, and the remote control can only be used in a 13-foot radius. There are much more versatile egg vibes available on the market, particularly those that can be controlled and manipulated by an app.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is the Mantric Egg Vibrator waterproof?

The Mantric is waterproof; however, the remote isn’t, so avoid using the remote in the shower or bath.

What is the best lube for Mantric Egg Vibrator?

As the Mantric egg is made from silicone, it’s best to stick with water-based lube, as silicone lube could damage the toy’s material.

Is the packaging discreet?

The packing is super discreet. Not only was it delivered in a nondescript shipping box, but the box that contained the toy was also super discreet. The box looks more like a candle box than a vibe box, and no one would suspect otherwise.

How to clean the Mantric Egg Vibrator?

To clean the Mantric egg, use warm water and a fragrance-free antibacterial soap or a sex toy cleaner. Do not use any other chemicals to clean the toy, as it would ruin the silicone.

Cleaning Sex Toys In The Sink

As the remote and the egg contain electronic materials, avoid using the dishwasher to clean them. Remember to clean the toy before and after each use.

How to store the Mantric Egg Vibrator?

Once dry from cleaning, store the vibrating love egg in a cool, dry spot, away from direct sunlight, dust, moister, and other sex toys.
