Why You Should Trust Us
Even before My Sex Toy Guide was started in 2016, Rachel had been using sex toys for the better part of her adult life. “I’ve used sex toys for more than I can remember,’ she starts. “Egg vibrators have always been a must-have accessory because I’m always on the move – the small size and relatively affordable price render these compact toys ideal for me.”
Over the last seven years, Rachel has spearheaded the product research team at My Sex Toy Guide, working hard to ensure you get the best quality sex toy reviews. And with a committed group of experts, including technologists, sexologists, writers, and researchers, you can be sure of in-depth and informative reviews and guides to help you make better sex toy purchase decisions.
1. Lovense Lush 3: Best Overall
Why we love Lovense Lush 3:
Lovense Lush 3 is the best wireless egg vibrator, thanks to the well-thought silicone body with a flexible bulb for internal stimulation and an elongated tail for better connectivity. The 3rd generation sex toy boasts a bigger motor, enhanced tail, and flexible body – significant enhancements designed to improve the user experience and promote thrilling vaginal stimulation.
The app-controlled vibe came out on top as the strongest among the egg vibrators we reviewed. The bigger motor has seven preset vibration patterns, offering an excellent range of combinations to explore. And unlike most small sex toys, Lush 3’s motor churns out rumbly vibrations, which are more impactful and mellow than the cliché buzzing action. And especially for those with extra sensitive bits, Lovense Lush 3 is the best egg vibrator.
Something that stood out was the device’s flexible neck (circled above). I thought it made maneuvering the angles during penetration easy while rendering the egg vibe ideal for different users, regardless of their body shape and size. I found it the easiest to insert inside the vagina, and the squishy silicone finish felt incredibly soft.
Lovense Lush 3’s small size and slimline tail make it a versatile choice for kinky couples. Jessica and I enjoy wearing it when we’re headed out for an evening stroll, using the Lovense Remote app (image below) to tease each other. And even with a tiny college dress, the Bluetooth egg vibrator remains discreet, and people won’t tell you’re wearing something. Most importantly, it feels comfortable even when I sit for extended sessions. And unlike most wearable, sneezing or giggling doesn’t push it out.
The Lovense Remote app significantly enhances the user experience, making the experience thrilling for close-range and long-distance partners. It also adds more vibration combinations to explore and extra bells and whistles like music sync that lets you pair the vibrations with your Spotify playlist. I was incredibly excited to try the alarm feature, which was exceptional – it works like your alarm clock, but instead of the boring hymns, the vibrator egg wakes you up with a series of rumbly vibrations.
The egg vibe also has a long battery life. The package promises up to five hours, which I had to put to the test. From my review, it lasted approximately four hours. And while it was not as accurate, four hours places Lovense Lush 3 at a pedestal among the best vibrator batteries we sampled.
The egg vibrator’s power means anyone yearning for direct and impactful G-spot stimulation won’t be disappointed. And with a series of rhythms to choose from, I found the consistency incredible and essential because it can be numbing, especially at high settings, so being able to scale down in between play was a great relief.
Finally, Lovense Lush 3 is excellent for cam models. From setting up tip-based vibrations to keep your fans engaged to creating games like Keno or dice and setting rules for tip ranges, the panel enjoyed the egg vibrator’s possibilities.
Minor issues we found during testing:
Unfortunately, the antenna doesn’t have a clear job description. Its slim and flimsy design means it lays off the side and can’t provide external stimulation. And even with the vibration overflow from the bulbous body, it completely neglects the clitoris, and people looking for a clit stimulator might have to look elsewhere.
In addition, there are better options than this pink vibe for public play, especially if you’re doing vigorous exercises and jumping.
Why Lovense Lush 3 is the best love egg:
Lovense Lush 3 came out on top among the egg vibrators we reviewed. Some of the specific categories that it scored the highest include the following:
- Design: The egg vibrator’s bulbous body stood out from the competition, scoring an almost perfect 98% (highest on this list). It’s perfectly sized to please most people and has a smooth silicone finish that feels great inside, even when worn for extended periods. In addition, the slim, elongated tail also enhances connectivity and makes it easy to regulate vibrations across the room or from miles away.
- Stimulations: Lovense Lush 3’s motor was the most powerful among the sex toys we reviewed, making it the most powerful egg vibrator. The sex toy features multiple vibration patterns, making it more accommodating even for those who can’t keep up with the ‘extra powerful’ rumbles.
- Smartphone app compatibility. Unlike most egg vibrators in the price range, you can connect the Lush 3 with the Lovense Remote app, adding to the seven preset vibrations. The smartphone app also opens new possibilities, including music sync and an alarm feature that wakes you up with an exciting rhythm of rumbly beats. Also, it allows webcam models to customize their tipping experience and keep the audience engaged.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: Silicone
- Diameter: 1.37″
- Insertable Length: 3″
Pros:
- A well-though egg vibrator design.
- The bulbous body and rounded head promote G-spot stimulation.
- Impressive motor with an excellent range of vibration combinations.
- It’s compatible with the Lovense Remote app.
- The waterproof vibe is USB-rechargeable.
- Great battery life – approximately 4 hours.
Cons:
- It neglects the clitoris.
- The egg vibrator is expensive – $119 – $139.99.
2. Lovehoney Thrill Seeker: Budget Pick
Why we love Lovehoney Thrill Seeker:
The Thrill Seeker is the most affordable egg vibrator you can get today. It costs $44.99 when writing the article, but Lovehoney runs sales often, with the vibe retailing at $23.99 during the last one. I thought the affordability made it an excellent choice for self-pleasuring fans on a budget and sex toy collectors looking to add an essential piece to their sex life without spending much money.
The testers also appreciated Lovehoney Thrill Seeker’s small size, which made it easy to slide inside that vagina. It also makes it the perfect travel buddy because it fits into your travel plans without a fuss. And with an easy-use retrieval cord, the budget egg vibe greatly enhanced the user experience. In the image below, you can see the product next to a ruler as a size reference.
Something that stood out was the remote control. The 2-button interface (circled in blue below) has a plus and minus feature that makes it easy to cycle through preset 10 patterns and 6 speeds. Most of the alternatives at this price point included single-button vibes, which meant pressing the buttons continuously if you accidentally go over a favorite pattern. The plus and minus buttons make it easy to return to a specific setting with a single press. My only disappointment was I couldn’t turn the vibrator on with the remote control.
The sex toy’s build quality could be better. Of course, the designers used the least expensive materials to keep costs down, but a silicone finish would have been better. In addition, I wasn’t so confident with the retrieval handle because it felt like it could break anytime – I’m glad it’s still holding on.
Among the affordable egg vibrators we reviewed, Lovehoney Thrill Seeker was the strongest. And although it fell short because of the disposable batteries, the reviewers pointed out the rumbles’ impact made it ideal for beginners and budget seekers.
Minor issues we found during testing:
Unlike most egg vibrators that are rechargeable, Thrill Seeker uses disposable batteries. The vibrator uses two AAA batteries and the remote one CR2032 battery. Besides being environmentally unfriendly, you’ll constantly need to buy batteries, which’ll be expensive in the long run.
The vibrator can be noisy, and people will hear the buzz outside the bedroom. We measured the noise, and it clocked 75 decibels, similar to a normal conversation.
Lastly, the sex toy has a seam because of the battery compartment. The tiny dip in the middle could harbor bacteria if not washed properly.
Why Lovehoney Thrill Seeker is the best cheap egg vibrator:
The test panel fell in love with Lovehoney Thrill Seeker. Some of the standout features included the following:
- Price & Value: Lovehoney Thrill Seeker was the most affordable egg vibrator we reviewed. And even with the ABS plastic body that most people will find wanting, less than $50 for a remote-control love egg is a bargain.
- Ease of use: The vibrator has a remote control that significantly improves the user experience. Notably, the remote has a plus and minus button, making cycling through the vibration combinations easy. And unlike models with a single button, you don’t have to press one button 10+ times if you accidentally skip a favorite setting.
- Portability: Lovehoney Thrill Seeker was among the tiniest egg vibrators we tested (average score: 91%). It felt great on my hands, and packing it with clothes whenever I’m headed for a weekend trip is easy. It doesn’t take much space like my dildos, and I haven’t had problems with TSA.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: ABS Plastic
- Circumference: 4.25″
- Insertable Length: 3″
Pros:
- A well-made egg vibe for the price.
- The most affordable pick.
- It’s an ideal choice for beginners and budget seekers.
- The vibe has a decent motor with 10 patterns and 6 vibration speeds.
- Compact and portable design.
Cons:
- It’s relatively loud.
- The seam in the middle could harbor bacteria if left unchecked.
3. Mantric Rechargeable Egg Vibrator: For Beginners
Why we love Mantric Rechargeable Egg Vibrator:
The Mantric egg vibrator‘s simple yet resourceful design makes it perfect for beginners. It’s embossed in soft silicone material, giving it a smooth finish that feels great during and after insertion. I also loved the nifty ring on the retrieval cord, making it easy for newbies to use.
Another feature that stood out was the wireless remote control (image below). Besides enhancing the user experience, the remote’s ring shape made for easy and sturdy holding. The combination of a ringed design and silicone finish significantly improved the grip, making it easy to use the remote even with wet hands. All-in-all, the small egg vibrator and remote’s design were impeccable, with a great deal of attention going to the ergonomics.
The remote control was easy to use. And unlike most egg vibrator controllers, you only need a single button to control the toy. I especially found the inclusion of a manual essential because using the vibrator can be troubling for novices. For instance, I was stuck when I tried to use the remote controller, but the manual highlighted that I had to turn on the vibrator and remote first. And while everything was straightforward from there, I enjoyed going back to learn a thing or two from the booklet.
Note: The vibrator’s overreliance on the remote controller can be annoying because one can’t work without the other. Take care of the remote because losing it could mean curtailed fun.
As you’d expect, the vibrator’s motor wasn’t the strongest. And even with the 7 vibration patterns, it doesn’t offer top-end rumbles for average to experienced folks. Nevertheless, the adjustable vibrations pack enough punch for beginners. And with seven options to explore, any novice that fancies internal stimulation would enjoy the experience.
Unfortunately, the reading on the noise meter came back at 80 decibels (screenshot below), which is a little louder than a conversation and more like someone singing. You might have to mask the noise with music or a duvet if you don’t want your roommate to catch on.
Minor issues we found during testing:
My main concern was the limited versatility. It only has seven vibration patterns, and the remote only covers a 13-foot radius, dramatically affecting the possibilities. We reviewed more versatile egg vibrators, especially those compatible with a dedicated mobile app for simplified close-range and long-distance control.
Also, I didn’t particularly appreciate that the vibrator didn’t have a storage pouch for the price.
Lastly, the remote’s ring design might be great, but I could only fit a single finger. Holding the remote with at least two fingers would have been more comfortable.
Why Mantric Egg Vibrator is best for beginners:
Unlike the budget option, which mainly focuses on the price, testing for a beginner-friendly egg vibrator was tasking as it involved a multi-faceted approach that made the particular vibe perfect for a novice. Some of the standout features we found in the Mantric Rechargeable Egg vibrator included the following:
- Ease of use. Among the egg vibrators we tested, Mantric Rechargeable was the easiest to use (average score: 95%). Everything from its small size to the retrieval handle and remote control enhanced the user experience. The remote control has an all-silicone body that makes handling more manageable, even with wet hands.
- Price & Value. The egg vibrator costs $79.99, a considerably fair deal for a remote-controlled love egg. And even with the limited power, the pricing matches the ease of handling while offering a range of seven vibration patterns for a beginner to explore.
- Battery: Besides the remote control, the Mantric Rechargeable egg vibrator is USB-rechargeable, meaning you won’t have to worry about batteries. It also has a travel lock feature for folks that are always flying and don’t want the vibrator to go off in the airport. And trust me, it isn’t quiet, and you won’t be fortunate masking the buzzes.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: Silicone
- Circumference: 4.25″
- Insertable Length: 3.5″
Pros:
- A well-made egg vibe for beginners.
- It’s easy to use.
- Discreet packaging.
- The travel lock feature prevents unwanted buzzing.
- It’s USB-rechargeable.
Cons:
- Unhealthy overreliance on the remote.
- It has few vibration combinations.
4. We-Vibe Jive: Most Discreet
Why we love We-Vibe Jive:
The We-Vibe Jive is a good Lovense Lush 3 alternative. Unlike the latter, it’s smaller and more compact, making it easy to use and store. Unlike most egg vibrators we reviewed, the We-Vibe Jive is considerably silent, and you couldn’t hear it outside the bedroom in the highest setting.
The insertable bulb is 2.95″ long and 0.98″ wide, making it relatively easy to penetrate (see the ruler in the image below). In addition, the sex toy has an elongated retrieval tail with a single button so you can turn the vibrations on inside the vagina. The quiet motor and small-size combination make the egg vibrator the most discreet vibes I’ve used.
We-Vibe Jive has a silicone finish throughout the body that adds to the grip and makes the self-pleasuring experience incredibly exciting. I loved the angled design that pushed the G-spot targeting bulb and retained it inside for hands-free internal stimulation.
The egg vibrator’s discreet design also meant I could wear it for extended sessions when out with Jessica without feeling uncomfortable. And with an elongated tail that enhances Bluetooth connectivity, public play is always exciting with the We-Vibe Jive.
We-Vibe Jive connects with the We-Connect app, giving you more possibilities, including multiple control options like the single and multi-vibe settings that let you use the 10 vibration patterns or create your own. The Touch Mode was my favorite as it allowed me to regulate the vibrations by touching the screen – the harder I touched, the longer it vibrated.
Something else that excited me was even when I didn’t feel like staring at my phone during solo play. I could use the control interface at the tip of the tail to regulate the rumbles (circled below). The phone app came in handy when I wanted to hand over the controls to my partners – whether from our second bedroom or halfway across the world. And the best part about this is that connecting the vibrator with the smartphone app was straightforward.
We-Vibe Jive has a powerful motor. The vibrations were impactful, and they radiated throughout my body. It’s not as beginner-friendly as Mantric Rechargeable because I could feel the rumbles kick in even at the lowest setting. And although the external arm doesn’t do much for the clitoris, I love that it doesn’t get in the way whenever I want to pair the We-Vibe Jive with a clitoral stimulation sex toy like the Magic Wand.
Minor issues we found during testing:
My only concern with the We-Vibe Jive was the non-functional external arm. Besides enhancing Bluetooth connectivity and aiding retrieval, the tail doesn’t offer pleasure to the clitoris.
Why We-Vibe Jive is the most discreet egg vibrator:
- Size: The We-Vibe Jive’s small size renders it the perfect egg vibrator for people looking for a discreet sex toy. And especially with the quiet motor, you won’t have to worry about your neighbor or roommate. The size and the silky silicone finish also made it easy to slip the vibrator in and out.
- Special Features: The panel loved its compatibility with the We-Connect app because it simplified close-range and long-distance handling.
- Versatility: The We-Vibe Jive is handy whether you play solo or with a partner. And even though the external arm doesn’t offer pleasure to the clitoris, it doesn’t get in the way if you decide to complement the G-spot rumbles with a clit stimulating sex toy.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: Silicone
- Circumference: 4.25″
- Insertable Length: 3.5″
Pros:
- A compact and discreet egg vibrator.
- The body-hugging design enhances retention.
- An elongated tail enhances Bluetooth connectivity.
- The We-Connect app adds to the possibilities.
- Powerful motor with a range of vibrations.
- The silicone finish looks and feels incredible.
Cons:
- Non-functional external arm.
5. Svakom Ella Neo: Budget App-Controlled
Why we love Svakom Ella Neo:
If you’re on a budget but can’t give up app control in your sex life, Svakom Ella Neo is your best bet. While you can’t compare the mobile app to competing brands like We-Vibe and Lovense, it has a decent user interface for the price. And the best part about it is it only costs $99 – $109.
I had trouble connecting the vibrations to my Apple Music collection, and it took a few restarting efforts. I couldn’t find the Spotify link option, and the connection was finicky whenever Jessica moved further from me. The team believes a proper update could help solve these issues, and we hope it will be included in a future upgrade.
While the egg vibrator might be a little more expensive than some decent remote-controlled sex toys, I enjoyed the Svakom app because it made public play more exciting (screenshots above). And especially when nearby, the smartphone app offers more capabilities than regular remote-controlled egg vibrators.
The vibrator has a glowing design with a gold-colored palette, a red body, and a retrieval cord to add flair. More importantly, the silicone is soft to the touch, making the experience fulfilling even for people with a sensitive G-spot. The handle is also silicone and has a bulbous shape at the end for easy retrieval.
Note: The design seemed elevated for the price with great attention to detail, something rather familiar with high-end sex toys like those from Lovense and LELO.
Surprisingly, the website states eleven vibration patterns and five speeds are available. At the same time, during the self-testing exercise, we only found one, which was pretty basic and weak for anyone used to vibrators. I couldn’t find a way to increase the intensity of the continuous vibration pattern, which was a letdown. If there were a way to increase the rumbles, Ella Neo would be an incredible egg vibrator for the price.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the noise level was commendably low, a direct effect of the faint vibration intensity. That said, it’s an ideal choice for public play, and your roommate or family won’t know what’s happening back at the house.
Minor issues we found during testing:
A major letdown was the app and Svakom app. Besides the delayed response, especially when Jessica was further away in the house and the failed music sync, the website needs to be updated. The instructions on the website are incomplete and go from English to Spanish and then back.
Another disappointment was the diminishing power. A beginner and intermediate user may find the vibrations satisfactory, but experienced folks best find something more impactful. The app didn’t help either and is far from competing brands like We-Vibe and Lovense.
Why Svakom Ella Neo is the best cheap app-controlled egg vibrator:
- Price & Value: Svakom Ella Neo was the best-priced app-controlled egg vibrator we tested. And even with the finicky smartphone app, it offered more possibilities than remote-controlled vibrators, especially for people looking for an intimate public play egg vibe.
- Ease of use: The egg vibrator’s small size and all-silicone build make it easy to slide in and out of the vagina. The panel also loved the silicone retrieval cord that significantly simplified handling, receiving an average score of 86%, placing it firmly in the middle of the pack.
- Features: The Svakom mobile app might not be the best in the market, but it has more capabilities than regular egg vibrators. And considering most of the issues can be addressed with a single update, the smartphone app is resourceful.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: Silicone, ABS, PC
- Circumference: 4″
- Insertable Length: 3.5″
Pros:
- An affordable app-controlled egg vibrator.
- Glowing design with a gold color pattern.
- Impressive attention to detail.
- The silicone body feels incredible inside the vagina.
- It has a retrieval cord for easy handling.
Cons:
- The vibration setting was weak.
- You can only use the mobile app in the same room.
6. OhMiBod Esca 2: Best Interactive Features
Why we love OhMiBod Esca 2:
If you’re looking to explore the best interactive features, OhMiBod Esca 2 is the best option. It’s compatible with the FeelConnect app (image below), which lets you connect it with Kiiroo devices to amplify real-time immersion. You can also connect with the OhMiBod app and simplify close-range and long-distance control.
Technically OhMiBod Remote app is for solo play, and the FeelConnect app is for long-distance control. However, there are overlapping features, and you can use either to achieve different purposes. I found the latter much easier to use, but it had less functionality. On the other hand, the OhMiBod app offers more ways to connect with a partner. More importantly, both apps have a bunch of preset patterns, and you can pair the vibrations with music.
Unbeknownst to many, OhMiBod Esca 2 is a 2nd generation sex toy with notable enhancements like a more flexible body, a prominent head, a longer tail, and a quieter motor – all improvements designed to promote precise G-spot massage and elevate the user experience.
The bulbous head is not overly large, making it perfect for most G-spot stimulation fans. Beginner and intermediate sex toy users will find it ‘enough,’ but those after gigantic sizes will have to look elsewhere. In the image below, you can see me comparing Esca’s head with Lush 3’s.
Besides the size, the vibrations were reasonably strong and more rumbly than buzzy – my preference. The only disappointment with the rumbles was there were only three settings in manual mode, which can be disappointing for people like me that prefer more vibration combinations.
The egg vibrator has an LED light at the tip (circled in red below) that acts as visual feedback to signal your partner how much stimulation you’re getting. Whether you prefer full light & 100% power, full light & 50% power, or no LED & 100% power, you easily customize the experience. And you can also turn off the LED and still enjoy 100% power.
Note: The LED can be too bright and indiscreet at night, rendering the last option (LED off and 100% power) essential.
Lastly, the vibrator is super quiet when correctly positioned. I found it discreet and a great choice for those with nosy roommates. And with the silicone body and wearable design, Esca 2 offers more possibilities than you can imagine.
Minor issues we found during testing:
Unfortunately, the egg vibrator doesn’t have a motor at the tip and only functions as the LED hub. Don’t expect any stimulation on the way of your clitoris.
Mobile apps can be complicated, especially for a first-time user. It takes some time to learn and take advantage of all the capabilities.
Why OhMiBod Esca 2 has the best interactive features:
- Versatility: Unlike any egg vibrator we reviewed, OhMiBod Esca 2 is compatible with two mobile apps – OhMiBod and FeelConnect. And while each is advertised with a specific purpose in mind, the roles are intertwined and have overlapping features that make the toy versatile. I found the OhMiBod app more complicated to use, but it had more functionalities, especially regarding toy-to-toy interactivity.
- Power: The panel found the vibrations strong, rating it at 91%. They were more rumbly than buzzy, a plus, especially for people with an extra sensitive G-spot. And with multiple smartphone apps to regulate, create, and explore different settings, we loved the experience.
- Ease of Use: As stressed before, OhMiBod Esca’s multiple mobile apps stood out from the competition. Notably, the apps present the best in the industry with very little to no blemishes to show.
If you want to see how the product is like physically, or how it is used, please check out our unboxing and review summary video below:
Features:
- Material: Silicone, ABS Plastic

- An ideal choice for people looking to explore interactive play.
- You can regulate the rumbles with two mobile apps.
- Improved design with a quieter motor.
- You can connect it with Kiiroo devices for real-time immersion.
- A responsive LED light lets your partner know what settings you’re on.
- It’s ideal for long-distance partners.
Cons:
- The sex toy is not waterproof.

7. We-Vibe Bloom: For Kegel Training
Why we love We-Vibe Bloom:
If you’re looking for the best egg vibrator for Kegel training, the We-Vibe Bloom does an incredible job. The simple yet resourceful Kegel exercise toy features three interchangeable balls for a customized experience. The balls weigh 10, 30, and 45 grams, making it easy for newbies and experienced users to choose their preferred weight.
What was most exciting about the egg vibrator was the design that renders it easy to screw and unscrew the weighted balls – it took a second or two.
Something else that stood out was the all-silicone body that made for a thrilling and accommodating experience. I’m not the most sensitive sex toy user, but I’d imagine those with a sensitive vagina will appreciate the squishy silicone finish.
I tried with all three balls and was surprised at how realistic the size graduation felt. I could feel the change whenever I switched from one ball to another.
Surprisingly, the Kegel exercises felt more elaborate with the We-Vibe Bloom. It felt like something was pushing back with every squish, making the training more exciting. I’ve done my Kegels throughout my adult life, but it feels much better and more impactful with the We-Vibe Bloom.
Besides the solo button near the base, you can use the new We-Vibe app to regulate the preset vibration settings, curate your own, and enjoy the rumbles to your liking. Connecting the sex toy and mobile app was problematic initially, but reconnecting it solved the mishap. And with bells and whistles like unlimited customization and long-distance control, the We-Vibe app made the experience exciting.
Minor issues we found during testing:
My main concern was the finicky mobile app. Unlike the Lovense Remote app, the We-Vibe smartphone app can be problematic, especially when remotely controlling your partner’s toy. It takes a few reconnection attempts to get everything running.
Another issue was the pricing. The We-Vibe Bloom costs $119, which some people might doom too much, especially with the challenging mobile app.
Why We-Vibe Bloom is the best for Kegel training:
- Effectiveness: I’ve done Kegel exercises for a significant part of my adult life, and very few sex toys have come close to how impactful We-Vibe Bloom was. The squishy yet firm silicone balls fill the vagina and resist the clenching movements, making the training more elaborate.
- Dynamism: The panel loved the selection of three differently weighted silicone balls. Besides allowing users to customize their experience, the balls add a thrill to the somewhat ‘bland’ Kegel training.
- High-quality material: The egg vibrator is made from high-quality silicone material (Average rating: 92%). The non-porous materials feel incredible inside the vagina and, in turn, make Kegel exercising enjoyable.
Features:
- Material: Silicone
- Circumference: 4.25″
- Insertable Length: 3.5″
Pros:
- An ideal egg vibrator for Kegel training.
- A sleek and comfortable-to-wear design.
- Multiple vibration combinations.
- The all-silicone body feels incredible inside the vagina.
- It’s compatible with the We-Vibe app.
Cons:
- It’s pricey – $119.
Other Good Alternatives
Lelo Smart Bead comes in handy for high-tech gurus. Unlike any egg vibrator we reviewed, the vibe uses touch sensors to register your pelvic floor muscles’ strength before curating a routine that works best for you. I especially loved the intelligent program that adjusts the vibration power as your strength improves over time.
Other standout features included the silicone body that feels warm to the touch, the small size that makes it discreet and easy to use, and 5 progressive levels that update your routine based on performance. And even though the LELO Smart Bead might be expensive, the combination of simplified handling and automated operation makes it a significant investment.
Lelo Insignia Lyla 2 is the best choice for people after a remote-control egg vibrator. Notably, it has a Sense Motion remote that responds to your hand movements, making the experience as spontaneous as ever. And with a 12-meter range, you can use the vibrator solo or with your partner.
Lelo Insignia Lyla 2’s versatile design allows you to use it internally and externally. It has 8 vibration settings, a good range for most users. And especially with the Sense Motion remote, you don’t have to worry about getting to the buttons – just shake your hand vigorously, and the vibrator will pick on the movements.
Lovehoney Power Play is the best wired egg vibrator. The smooth egg vibe offers a cheap way for solo play fans and couples to spice their sex lives. Its 29-inch wire connects it to the remote, making it easy to regulate the rumbles from a reasonable distance. While the hard plastic material might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the affordable $24.99 pricing and seven vibration functions place it in a better place than most wired vibrators we reviewed.
Everything We Tested
In this chapter, you can see a comparison table with all the products we tested. As you can see, each row has the test criteria our team used during the testing. How We Picked the Products
I drafted a questionnaire and passed it around to understand the best egg vibrators among my colleagues. I made sure to include an open-ended question to better understand motivation when picking an egg vibrator. Then I assembled the recommendations and added them to mine for review. Most importantly, I emphasized the importance of having key decision-making factors that could be measured using well-defined quantitative metrics. Some of these included the following:
- Design. The sex toy size and shape directly affect the stimulation type and ease of handling. For this reason, we ensured that we included different egg vibrator designs to meet the ever-changing needs of the sex industry.
- Versatility. The best product is one that can serve multiple purposes. After all, having a sex toy that offers the best of both worlds never hurts anybody.
- Stimulations. We prioritized the egg vibes with the most settings. The panel emphasized the importance of having multiple vibration combinations and how they make a sex toy more desirable for different people.
- Build Quality. Another essential factor we considered when picking the vibrating love eggs was the quality. Besides ensuring the materials were the best on the market, the build quality had to be outstanding.
- Noise Level. As you can imagine, people can put up with different noise meters depending on the environment and personal preference. So, we tested all the egg vibrators in this list so you can know what to expect when shopping.
- Charging. While we also included battery-powered vibrators, the main focus was models made with rechargeable batteries. We believe they’re more environmentally friendly and affordable in the long run.
- Unique Features. We also paid attention to bells and whistles like mobile app compatibility, remote control, and standout technologies like Sense Motion. While these egg vibrators were understandably pricier, we believe in providing our customers with multiple options to simplify their decision-making and increase the chances of landing on the perfect match.
During testing, we rated each test criterion on a percentage scale from 0% (Worst) to 100% (Best). We then calculated the overall score using different weighted metrics depending on the importance of the test criteria. Half the total rating comes from Stimulations (25%) and Design (25%). After that comes Versatility (10%), Build Quality (10%), and Sound Level (10%).
The team returned with their findings after the 8-day self-testing exercise. Aware of the task, I enlisted fellow sex experts Sandra and Tim to help with the analysis. We used comparison charts and review data from vendor sites and sex toy forums to separate the best from the rest. And it’s from the combined effort that we believe these are the best vibrating eggs in 2023! Learn more.
What Is An Egg Vibrator?
Vibrating eggs are oval-shaped toys designed to deliver vibrations to your vagina, clit, G-spot, nipples, or your partner’s perineum. They get their name from their ‘egg shape’ that sets them apart from the rest of the flock. Some models come with wired remote control, while others are wireless. You can even find some app-controlled egg vibrators.
Egg Vibrator Buyers Guide
Like with other toys, there are numerous considerations you’ll have to make when deciding which egg vibrator to go for. These factors determine how realistic, robust, durable, and easy to clean your love egg vibrator is. So, here are some of my favorite tips when love egg shopping:
Material
Probably the most important consideration you’ll have to make, the sex toy material you pick determines the egg vibe’s longevity, ease of cleaning, and overall maintenance.
The material also determines whether or not your toy is body-safe. We recommend that you go for hypoallergenic silicone because it’s also non-porous, rendering it even more hygienic.
Some manufacturers will go for plastic polymers like TPE because they’re more affordable. And while TPE might be hypoallergenic and body-safe, it’s porous, making cleaning and maintenance more tedious.
So, if you have the extra cash, I recommend silicone, but if you can’t, TPE will do – just keep in mind cleaning will take more time.
Size
The size of your sex toy vibrator determines how discreet and travel-friendly it is. And especially for a tiny wireless remote-controlled egg vibrator, size might also be the difference between powerful and frail rumbles – a bigger vibe means a massive and more robust motor.
If you have other sex toys, you can use them to measure your vagina. If you don’t have other toys, you can use your fingers to understand what size you need.
Please don’t rush through this step. Buying too large or too small products will be a major disappointment!
Features
Like other vibrators, different egg vibes have various features. Everything from a curved shape for targeted stimulations to a protruding finger loop for easy retrieval and multiple vibration patterns for maximum exploration, the sky’s the limit.
Some models like OhMiBod Esca 2 even feature extra bells and whistles like dedicated mobile apps and interactive features for simplified control and toy-toy interaction.
Other features to consider before picking your favorite egg vibrator include rechargeability and whether or not it’s waterproof. And while I always recommend that you go for a rechargeable model, ensure the charge time vs. use time makes sense. Avoid vibrating eggs that take hours to charge just to give you a few minutes of rumbles.
Stimulation
Egg vibrators are designed to stimulate your internal sweet spots, especially the G-spot. However, their vibrating egg design means most can double up as external stimulation aids. Whether it’s casual nipple tickling, targeted clitoral stimulation, or shared rumbles during sex, nothing beats an internal-external hybrid love toy. Right?
Unfortunately, unlike a bullet vibrator, the egg vibrator’s design is not as precise and pointy for targeted external stimulation. Egg vibrators work perfectly with internal stimulation, but if you need both internal and external stimulation, I recommend going for a bullet vibe or an egg vibe with a more pointed tip.
Public Play
Egg vibrators’ discreet size and external remote controls make them perfect for public play. While that might sound like enough requirements to get the party started, I recommend that you ensure your egg vibe is public play ready.
Remember, you’ll be wearing the love egg vibrator for extended periods. So, ensure that it holds well inside, and you don’t have to keep adjusting it in public. Some models, like the Lovense Lush 3, have a posable stem that adjusts to match your body, so the sex toy feels comfortable regardless of your body shape or size.
Waterproof
Waterproof sex toys are essential, especially if you enjoy bath or shower play. Silicone material makes for good waterproof sex toys because of their non-porous nature. And while the rule of thumb is never to submerge motorized vibrators in water, some models are waterproof.
So, if you wish to amplify your solo play experience, go for completely waterproof egg vibrators.
Note; splashproof isn’t the same as waterproof. Splashproof sex toys can only handle a few drops of water during use or cleaning but should never be submerged.
Budget
Your budget determines the sex toys you go for and helps you narrow your search. Ultimately, a few things like the material, size, and extra bells and whistles will determine your price.
You can find models with a price tag as low as $20, but I caution against buying them. It’s better to invest a bit more money to get a safe and long-lasting product. Hence, go for the $50 – $100 price range.
In addition, make sure the products have at least a 1-year warranty.
Noise
Noise is critical when buying egg vibrators because most are used for public play. I recommend you ensure your love egg has a whisper-quiet motor. You don’t want to be in a restaurant with a vibrating love egg that sounds like a mini generator in a quiet room. Do you?
After all, the essence of public play is discretion. So, ensure you pick a sex toy with a quiet motor for public play.
Power Source
Most egg vibrators are USB-rechargeable, making it easy to use one from anywhere. Rechargeability makes toys environmentally friendly and, most importantly, versatile and flexible for different situations. While most people fear unwarned power depletion during use, modern vibes feature a battery-low warning light to alert you when to charge it.
Battery-operated vibrators are not the best because you must buy disposable batteries, which can be expensive in the long run. This power mode also makes sex toys travel-unfriendly – you don’t want to be in a foreign land looking for batteries at night.
So, always go for rechargeable egg vibrators. Trust me! The extra few dollars are worth it!
How To Use Egg Vibrator?
Egg vibrators are relatively small, making them easy to use for most people, including beginners. So, like with every sex toy, start by going through the manual to check for unique settings like Bluetooth connectivity, controls, and unique vibration patterns.
Once in the loop, pour a generous amount of water-based lube on the sex toy and yourself. You can start by rubbing the vibrating egg sex toy against your clitoris in a build-up to vaginal penetration. And when you’re ready, push the tapered end into your vagina while directing it towards the belly button AKA the G-spot haven.
As soon as the love egg rubs against a sensitive region – your G-spot, hold on and let it inject the rumbles inside. Remember to reapply the lube every once in a while. You can even use the ‘re-fueling break’ to tease the clitoris, labia, and perineum before diving back to G-spot stimulation.
You can read more on how to use an egg vibrator here.
How To Clean An Egg Vibrator?
Before cleaning your bullet egg vibrator, look at the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure you’re doing it right. For most sex toys, however, mild soap and warm water solution will do. And if you have a sex toy cleaner, pour an appropriate amount and get cleaning.
For silicone and waterproof toys, you can submerge them in water. However, TPE and other non-porous materials are porous; you might have to use a clean, damp cloth to wipe off the dirt. Most importantly, rinse the sex toy with clean water and dry it before putting it away in a clean, cool, dry place.
I recommend air drying but if you don’t have time, use a clean, lint-free towel. Especially for porous materials, ensure the vibe is completely dry before storage.
Note: remove batteries in battery-operated egg vibrators when cleaning and during storage to avoid corrosion and sex toy damage.
Where To Buy A Vibrating Egg?
We recommend purchasing from established brands like Kiiroo, Lovense, Lovehoney, and We-Vibe. They all have the best customer support in the sex toy industry, at least a 1-year warranty, and a solid return policy.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What Is the Strongest Egg Vibrator?
Lovense Lush 3 is the strongest egg vibrator. The 3rd generation sex toy has a bigger motor that churns out more power than any egg vibrator we reviewed for this article. It also maintains consistency across the different vibration settings, making it perfect for the most experienced folks.
How to insert an egg vibrator?
You insert egg vibrators by first positioning the bulkier side of the egg upwards. Next, apply lube to the toy and your vagina, relax your vulva, turn on the vibrations, and gently rub it against your clitoris before inserting it.
How long can I leave the egg vibrator in me?
There’s no general rule on how long you can leave a love egg inside your vagina, but please read the safety manual for guidance. Some devices may get hot over time, so it’s better to be safe than sorry. That being said, I wore a vibrator a whole day without issues.
How does an egg vibrator work?
Egg vibrators are oval-shaped toys designed to deliver stimulation to your vagina, clit, G-spot, nipples, or your partner’s perineum. They generally have an egg-shaped part, which you insert into the vagina, and a protruding tail for easy removal and control.
How do I take apart an egg-shaped vibrator?
We never recommend trying to fix a faulty vibrator yourself. Instead, ensure you have registered the warranty with the manufacturer and check the retailer’s website for instructions on returning it.
How to turn on an egg vibrator?
You turn on egg vibrators with the power button; it’s usually on the protruding tail. If the device is app-control, you can use the smartphone application to turn it on.
What does it feel like to use an egg vibrator for the first time?
Since the egg shape will make you feel fuller and give you more pressure on the vaginal wall, you will feel the vibrations more clearly with egg vibrators.
How to make an egg vibrator?
We don’t recommend making your own egg vibrator. You’ll use it internally so it’s imperative that the device is smooth and has body-safe material.
How to charge an egg vibrator?
Charging egg vibrators is easy, and most modern products have a magnetic USB port where you attach your charging cable. Other devices, like Lush 3, have their charging port covered by a silicone flap so it’s waterproof. Hence you must apply a bit of pressure to insert the USB connector.
What lube should I use?
If your egg vibrator is made of non-porous, medical-grade silicone (and you should only buy those products), you can’t use silicone-based lube. Stick with water-based lube!
Can I use them for anal play?
Egg vibrators are not built for anal stimulation, so NEVER use them for prostate or anal play! In the worst case, they can disappear inside your anus, making an ER visit necessary!
How to store a love egg?
Store your love egg in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. If you have more than one sex toy, keep them separate by clothing or storage pouches. For more information, you can read our extensive sex toy storage guide.
