Lelo Mona 2 Review 2024 | Review With Pics & Videos

The body and controls of Mona 2Lelo has always been at the top of my list. The Swedish company keeps delivering beautiful and functional products in the premium category, and whenever they release a new model, I am first in line. So when Mona 2 was launched, I immediately bought one from Lovehoney to put it through rigid testing.

Let’s first talk about my first impressions, the design, the features, and how to use the device, followed by my experience using it, and then finish off with my recommendations.

What is Lelo Mona 2?

Mona 2 is a sleek G-spot vibrator from the Swedish company Lelo. It’s an upgrade from the original Mona version with hypoallergenic silicone material and boasts 100% more power than the original. It comes with six different intensity and vibration patterns with easy-to-use LED buttons.

First Impressions & Features

For the longest time, I always thought that a non-phallic vibrator was not for me. Mona 2, however, changed my view on vibes and the parameters I use to separate a good from a not-so-good one. So, here are some of the features:

1. The Packaging

Like most Lelo vibrators, Mona 2 comes in a classy red and white box in what has become a patented minimalistic design. The box features a bold “LELO” wording and the device name. On the sides, there’s product information on how to make the most of your new vibrator.

When you open the outer box, you see a black box with Mona 2 resting on a velvety compartment. The luxury interior design makes the box an ideal storage space for your toy after use. It also serves as a deluxe gift box with which you can surprise your loved one. Apart from the vibrator, the package also contains:

  • Satin storage pouch
  • USB charger
  • Warranty Registration
  • User manual.
  • A bag of Lelo lubricant.

2. The Material

The beautifully designed luxurious G-spot vibrator has a soft, matte silicone material that’s hypoallergenic, non-porous, and body-safe. The handle is made of ABS plastic with raised LED buttons for ease of use, especially during those slippery situations. The silky silicone material feels pleasant on the skin, with the curved edge rubbing your sweet spots effortlessly. It also doesn’t smell bad like other cheaper adult toy materials.

Other than feeling extra realistic and incredible on the skin, silicone is also waterproof and heat-resistant. With a waterproof and heat-resistant vibrator, you can comfortably enjoy using it in different environments. Also, it allows you to warm it by soaking it in water for a realistic experience.

Note: Since it’s silicone, you have to use water-based lube. Never use oil or silicone-based lube!

3. The Body

As stressed earlier, Lelo employed a minimalistic design alongside exciting bells and whistles to customize your experience. The curved shape targets your G-spot with mellow vibrations, and the bulbous end features a pointed end that glides smoothly on your sweet spots, effectively delivering the rumbles. It also has a tapered shape, making insertion easy. This feature is essential for first-time sex toy users.

The body and controls of Mona 2

More than 2/3rd of the vibe has silky, smooth silicone in a sexy red color, which feels great on the skin (You can also get it in purple color). I also thought the white ABS plastic accommodated the control pad with large and carefully positioned LED buttons for more comfortable use. The two materials are fused very professionally, and it doesn’t have a protruding seam that can trap mold and bacteria.

The power port is at the bottom of the ABS plastic handle and has a flap that prevents water from entering the hole.

Note: Mona 2 is not for anal play. She doesn’t have a broad base and can disappear inside your rectum if you’re not careful!

4. The Charger

Mona 2 comes with a high-quality rechargeable Li-Ion battery. It takes two hours to fully charge the battery, giving you up to four hours of battery life. If you’re like me and don’t charge your vibes more than once a day, Mona 2 is perfect. More so, the vibe has a standby time of up to 90 days, meaning it won’t lose charge in the next three months even when not in use.

The charge port and charging cable

To charge the vibrator, slide the rubber flap off the charging port and insert the USB charger. The buttons light up when the vibe is fully charged. Remember to cover the charging port with the flap after charging.

Note: While charging, the four LED buttons flash pretty brightly. I first charged Mona 2 in the bedroom at night but had to unplug the device because it was too distracting to sleep!

5. How To Use Lelo Mona 2?

The controls are essential to the overall satisfaction of a model. When a vibrator has a complicated control system, that immediately sucks the magic from the experience. Overall, the buttons are well placed and raised on the handle for more comfortable use.

There are only four, each taking up a specific role. The ‘+’ and ‘-’ ones boost and lower the vibration intensity, while the arrow buttons, on the other hand, make it easy for you to shift from one intensity to the other.

I have to say I prefer the up-and-down approach over scrolling through the settings. I also liked that you could press and hold a button to adjust the settings faster, something you don’t find on many sex toys for women.

More so, the buttons act as a lock switch. Simply hold the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons for five seconds to lock or unlock Mona 2 when traveling.

6. The Patterns

The Mona 2 has six different vibration patterns you can adjust up to ten intensity levels. The lowest vibration intensity felt like a slight rumble in my vagina with minimal, if any, impact. However, as I scaled up the ladder, the vibrations became more profound and noticeably stronger.

The vibration patterns are:

  • Steady vibration
  • Pulsation
  • Quick pulsation
  • Low-High escalation
  • Low-High-Low Rollercoaster
  • Random

The mix of different vibration speeds and patterns makes it exciting to explore the sensations. During my Lelo Mona 2 review, I also found that she is excellent for clit stimulations.

My Personal Experience

Mona 2 felt a bit uncomfortable at first. I’ve heard the same comment from a friend, but this wasn’t going to be the first toy that started slow for me. I had to readjust the positioning to get to a point where it didn’t feel stuffed. I’m always excited about trying out a new vibe, and I must say the three minutes I spent readjusting might have taken away a piece of the fun.

However, when the vibrator was well-positioned inside my vulva, nothing felt like a miss. The silky, smooth finish glides smoothly against the skin, and sliding in was bliss. The almost-bulbous end felt fuller inside me, leaving just enough room for the vibrations to reverberate. Additionally, the pointed end rested gracefully on my G-spot. But like other reviewers pointed out, you can’t thrust her in and out. The shape is designed to stay in place, which I 100% agree with.

Mona 2 looks big on the packaging, but once I held it in my palm, it looked and felt small and lightweight. Despite the size, it fills me up perfectly, and handling is much easier than I thought. I especially liked how well-spread the vibrations were to my G-spot and vagina walls. I felt the strongest rumbles on my G-spot, and I could orgasm in mere minutes. It’s also very quiet. Not whisper-quiet (no sex toy is), but your roommates won’t hear you.

Once inside, my vaginal muscles contract and hug it tightly, allowing vibrations to travel far and wide. I also stood up and walked around, and the tapered shape kept the vibe inside of me. Besides the few minutes I had to reposition it, the Mona Lelo feels super comfortable. Great work, Lelo!

You can also use Mona 2 for clitoral stimulation, and I tried to recreate the clit numbness other users mentioned. But my clitoris actually never got that numb, only after a significantly longer masturbation session. I think my clit is used to heavy stimulations after years of sex toy testing, so it probably differs on how experienced you are.

Furthermore, other articles say you can’t feel the vibrations much in the plastic handle. But I don’t 100% agree with this. While this is true on lower settings, you can absolutely feel them on higher ones. I can even feel my hand getting a bit numb after more extended use. However, this is not a big issue.

Overall Rating4.3 out of 5 stars

Over the years, Lelo Mona 2 has become my go-to vibrator. Not only for G-spot stimulation but for pretty much everything. Clitoral massage, partner sex with Tim, etc. Pretty much everything except ass play. The only downside is the high price, but it’s a high-quality product that will last many years.

Are you looking for an alternative? Hot Octopuss Kurve is another great G-spot vibrator. The main difference is it has two motors (rumble and buzz) you can control independently.

So, if you want to purchase just one vibrator for all your sex life needs, I would go with Lelo Mona 2!

Pros:

  • Hypoallergenic, waterproof, body-safe silicone material.
  • Beautiful design and packaging.
  • The ergonomic handle is easy to hold onto.
  • Six vibration modes with varying power levels.
  • It’s easy to clean and maintain.
  • Mona 2 has a travel lock feature.
  • The 90-day standby time is excellent.
  • It’s quiet even in higher settings.

Cons:

  • You might need to reposition it to suit your body type.
  • It doesn’t come cheap (price tag $159.99).
  • Some women prefer a broader tip, like on Gigi 2.

Thanks for reading my Lelo Mona 2 review!
