How Do I Use the Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair?
The hardest part about using this seat is putting it together. Have your strongest friend come over if you’re nervous about this part. It’s not complicated, it just takes a little bit of muscle. There are two rods at the bottom, and you place them in the apparent holes. But you must stretch the reinforced elastic seat to get them in the right place, and it is a tight squeeze because the straps are sturdy enough to support a lot of weight comfortably (you can see how it’s described in the assembly manual below).
After you’ve assembled the Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair, using it is easy! Find a comfy spot, preferably on a carpeted floor or on top of a rug, so it’s easier on your knees or back. This sex stool won’t work as well on a mattress because it won’t be as sturdy.
Pro Tip: Try the sex positions with your partner before you start having sex so that you can measure how well the seat fits your bodies and add in extra accessories as needed. For instance, when my partner was underneath the chair, I could sit perfectly suspended over his face, but he needed about two inches to tilt his head forward to reach my clit with his tongue, so we got a thin pillow—but a blanket or a towel would have worked as well. My Personal Experience
I probably can’t overstate how excited my partner was to receive this. Though it’s meant for many uses, we will primarily be using it as a queening chair. It is the perfect size for my partner’s head, though it was kind of a tight squeeze for him to get his shoulders through the metal bars. The only minor issue is that when his head is lying flat on the floor, it’s not in the perfect position to reach my clit. But slight maneuvering on both of our parts meant we could play for hours without a neck cramp in sight.
We also wanted to discover if it would work for backseat driving, so to speak. This chair enhanced this position for my partner, but not necessarily for me.
If your kink is tongue twisters, all you’ll need to do to get in the mood is say “Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair” five times fast. It’s a mouthful. Strangely enough, in the instruction manual, it’s referred to as the Loving Bouncer, which is much easier to remember. But the truth is that it’s both a chair and a bouncer. When the straps are close together, you can rest comfortably on this, but when they are further apart, you can drop deeper and bounce around, adding an extra fun element to everyday sex.
I also used the sex chair as a footstool for my recliner when I was on a work call, and it was more comfortable than I thought. I was happy to realize that this worked as both sex furniture and regular furniture, making it more discreet.
Packaging
As you can see in the image below, the packaging is minimal, but if you wanted giftable packaging, it would increase the cost to sheer exorbitance! Everything was wrapped tightly so that it wasn’t damaged in transit, and the box it came in was discreet. It showed that it was from “LH,” so frequent sex toy shoppers may recognize that as the Lovehoney label, but most others will not.
Design
Getting the design right on sex furniture is a delicate balance because everyone has different body sizes and shapes. But the size turned out to be perfect for me and my partner, who are both straight-sized people.
The aesthetic of the Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair is minimal, which is a good thing in the case of sex furniture, and the design is deceptively simple. It resembles a stool, and you could leave it out if you wanted. Unless you have sex-furniture-savvy roommates or family, it may go unnoticed. If you want it to be even more discreet, you can throw a cushion on top so it looks even more like a seat.
When you put it together, it doesn’t look very sturdy. And yet, it turned out to be quite stable! Whether I sat on it lengthwise or widthwise, I didn’t feel like it was going to rock or capsize. I was floored by how sturdy it was, and it stayed in place remarkably well on carpet (which was also easier on my partner’s knees and back). It holds a maximum weight of 330 lbs., which will work for people of many sizes.
Material
The chair is metal, and the seat is comprised of two large elastic straps. The straps are quadruple-layered elastic, so they feel sturdy and bouncy at the same time. They are flexible enough that you can move them to the side to sit more deeply in the chair, or you can keep them together for more support. Since the straps have a little bit of wiggle room, if you’re slender, you may need to be careful with your bouncing so that you don’t accidentally fall through the middle. This never happened to me, though.
The only drawback to this sex bouncer is that it would be difficult to wash. It doesn’t come completely apart, as it arrives mostly assembled. To avoid stains, you may want to throw a sheet or towel over it when you’re using it for doggy-style. That would be impossible if you are using it as a rim chair, so you should be diligent and try to wipe off spills before they dry.
Positions
The instruction manual proposed a few positions to use this chair (image below), and some were easier than others. The manual suggested having the person being penetrated sit on the chair while the penetrating partner kneels. This worked for my partner and me perfectly, but it wouldn’t work for a couple where the penetrator is exceptionally tall (my partner is 6’1”, for reference) or has very long thighs because they would have to crouch to thrust. Missionary was the position this improved the least, in my opinion, but it was still fun to try.
Next up was reverse cowgirl, regular cowgirl, and doggy. The last picture is of a woman sitting alone, so you could use this bouncer as a comfy place to masturbate by riding on a dildo placed below. My partner and I were most curious to find out if this would work well as a queening chair or if it was too high. It was the perfect height, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
Then, when we tried cowgirl and reverse cowgirl, we found that it was comfortable for me, but it would be more comfortable for my partner with a small pillow under his hips. These discoveries are helpful to make before you are turned on and going at it, so you don’t have to make several trips to the linen closet with a hard-on. My hips get to me during long sessions of sex where I’m on top (read: any more than ninety seconds in cowgirl), which has been a massive bummer because it’s one of my partner’s favorite positions. The chair allowed me a full five minutes before feeling like my hips were getting weak, and without bad hips to begin with, I imagine you could go for a lot longer.
We also tried the doggy-style position, which I did not think would be comfortable. I leaned over the chair, which left my head dangling in space. Yet, it wasn’t noticeably less comfortable than holding my head up with my neck muscles during regular doggy style, and it improved the experience measurably for my partner, who had the chair to hold onto for leverage as he thrusted. The next time we tried it in doggy style, I put a cushion over the straps so that they didn’t dig into my ribs and a cushion for my head, and it made all the difference in the world.
Lastly, this chair would be perfect for any position you need during watersports.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality is excellent. The metal frame feels sturdier than I expected after assembling it, and it is covered in a squishy foam that makes it comfortable to sit on.
I was nervous that the dimensions wouldn’t be quite right. To get much use out of the BDSM furniture, you and your partner must be certain sizes. My partner has a large head, and when I sank down deeply between the straps of this chair, he was able to eat me out quite comfortably. It also gave me enough support that I didn’t sit uncomfortably on his nose. It was perfect!
I thought we would have to put a pillow under his head, but the dimensions were so perfect for us that no pillow was needed! We got the Liberator Jaz out (image above), but this proved to be far too much height for queening or tea bagging. The functionality of the dimensions will vary depending on the size of your partner’s head. The seat sits 15.5” off the ground, so measure your partner’s head from back to front before purchasing, though keep in mind that some of this space will be taken up based on the weight of the seated partner.
Ease of Use
The Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair doesn’t quite get full marks for ease of use. It’s a bit tough to put together. I could not do it by myself, and my partner had to fidget with it for a few minutes to get the rods into place. To be fair, the instruction manual says in bold at the top, “Kindly suggest: this product should be assembled by a strong person.” And they were not kidding! It may take two of you to get it in the right spot, which is crucial for stability.
It’s easy to dismantle, yet a little dangerous. The first time we tried it, the poles went flying! Disassembly is also a two-person job. And it’s difficult to get put back together again. However, if you’re strong and short on space, you can pull the bars out and it will lie flatly for storage.
Aside from assembly and disassembly, this couldn’t be easier to use.
Versatility
This sex bouncer gets high points for versatility. Though it’s mostly designed for partnered sex, it works well for masturbation, too. It has a somewhat inclusive weight limit of 330 lbs.
The Bondage Boutique Sex Position Enhancer Chair is excellent for people of normal abilities who are seeking more comfort—but it is also an ideal purchase for disabled folks who want to have better sex. When I tested this out, I thought the only thing that would make it more versatile was a handle for getting up and down. Well, good news! There’s a version with a grab bar to allow for easier mounting and dismounting for about $25 more (the Lovehoney Deluxe Sex Position Enhancer Chair, which holds people up to 440 lbs).
The additional add-ons for people who have reduced stamina make this even more inclusive and versatile. It’s excellent for people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, fatigue conditions, and more since it minimizes joint pain and helps conserve energy.

The Liberator Jaz is a sex cushion that is small enough it’s easy to store. It’s perfect for placing under your hips to get the angle just right or taking the pressure off your lower back. The Liberator Jaz is easier to use than regular pillows because it is firm AF and won’t smush down when you lay on it. But it’s so small that its primary function is tweaking your regular sex positions—not reinventing them.
The Jaz comes in four colors, has a washable cover, and is incredibly discreet since it looks just like a pillow.
