The Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug is a lot, in a very good way. You get penetration, thrusting, twisting, and a light show. It’s not just a novelty toy, though, although you’d be forgiven for making that assumption based on the box. The silicone is excellent quality and the build quality is better than expected.
Who Should Try It? If you already know that you enjoy anal plugs and you’re in the mood for a product that’s unapologetically extra, this is for you. The remote control works from a (short) distance as well, so you can hand it over to your partner if you want to play around with power and control dynamics.
Who Can Skip It? If you’re brand-new to butt stuff, you may want to start out with something a little tamer. And on the other end of the spectrum, size queens might find the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug lacking. It’s also not a very quiet anal toy, if that matters to you.

What Is the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug?
It’s a lot, is what it is. The Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug is a moderately sized silicone butt plug with a motorized thrust function, sculpted ridges that feel like they are twisting inside you (in a good way), a remote control, and a disco light. There are nine vibration/thrust patterns and it recharges through a USB cable. It’s waterproof for easy and thorough cleaning.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The packaging is neither discreet nor understated, but that’s probably fitting for a thrusting butt plug with disco lights. The box itself is relatively thin cardboard, but it does its job well enough. Printing is glossy and colorful with a space-age/sci-fi feel. There is a very large product photo on the front of the box that leaves no doubt about what’s inside.
What’s inside is the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug, remote control, and charging cable. There is no storage pouch, lube sample, or any other extras (and at this price point, we aren’t surprised).
We were pleasantly surprised when we picked up the plug, though. The silicone is smooth and soft, and the plug feels well-balanced. The remote control also feels solid, not like a cheap clicker, and the battery was pre-installed. First impression: better than we expected, considering the price and the packaging.

How Do I Use the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug?
- As with any sex toy that you’re going to use internally, start off with a quick wash. Mild fragrance-free soap and warm water is fine, or you can use a specialized sex toy cleaner if you prefer.
- Then make sure that it is fully charged. It takes about two hours to charge for about one hour of run time. If this is your first time using the toy, pair the remote.
- When it is play time, apply good-quality water-based lube to your body and to the toy. Take some time to rub the butt plug around your anal entrance or just hold it still so your body gets used to it. Insert it gently and let it sit for a minute or two before you start up the motors.
- It’s always a good idea to start out low and slow. There are nine vibration/thrusting modes, so you’ll have plenty of options. One button operates the motor and the other operates the light feature.
My Personal Experience
We expected “pow” from the packaging and that’s what we got. The Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug brings nine different vibration patterns, twisted texture, solid thrusts, and flashing lights to top (bottom?) it all off.
Even though the length and girth are moderate, this is not an entry-level anal toy. The thrusting is powerful and the vibrations are strong. This toy works for both solo and partnered play, especially if you are inclined to let your partner control the remote, but the light-up feature is best admired by a partner.
Design
Based on the packaging, the price, and the gimmicky-ness (no one’s butthole really needs to be illuminated), we weren’t expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised, though. The sculpted ridges really do feel like they are twisting inside you when the thrust function is activated. The base is designed so that you can actually sit down with the plug in place. And the remote control doesn’t feel like an afterthought, like so many do even at much higher price points.
Material
Another pleasant surprise in this category for the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug! The body-friendly silicone is soft and velvety with an excellent seamless matte-black finish. It doesn’t feel sticky or powdery, and it doesn’t smell bad. It holds body heat nicely. It looks like a novelty toy but it certainly doesn’t feel like one.
Stimulations
For some folks, the soft-but-solid butt plug is enough stimulation. But there is so much more to the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug. The motor is reasonably powerful and there are nine thrust/vibration patterns to choose from. The ridges on the shaft are sculpted in a way that makes them feel like they are twisting when the plug is thrusting. Additional visual stimulation comes from the light in the base of the plug.
Build Quality
Like the material quality, the build quality is surprisingly solid for what appears to be a novelty toy. The silicone is seamless and nicely finished. The butt plug itself is well balanced and feels good in the hand. The charging port is sealed tight, and there are no gaps around the controls or the light in the tail. The plug arrived charged and the button battery was installed in the remote control, which was a nice touch.
Ease of Use
The controls on the base and on the remote control are intuitive and easy to use. The vibration/thrust function and the light are controlled separately, which we appreciate since we’re not always in the mood for a disco ball in the butt. Any qualms about “ease of use” are because the thrusting and twisting can be pretty intense, so the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug is not well suited to people who are new to this kind of play.
Versatility
For such a small package, the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug sure does a lot. Obviously it does basic butt plug stuff, but it also offers thrusting, remote control options, and a light show. You can enjoy it on your own or with a partner, and you can even turn the remote control over to your partner.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing
One of the suggested uses of the Atomic Thrusting Light-Up Plug is wearing it when you’re going about your daily life so you can have a special little secret. Unfortunately, it’s kind of loud, and even worse, it’s whiny loud. It will be mostly muffled by flesh and a couple of layers of clothes, but it’s enough to kill the buzz, so to speak.
Motorized thrusting combined with the twisty texture is pretty intense. While this is exactly what some folks are looking for, it’s not really beginner-friendly. You’ve been warned.
