Vesper 2 Necklace VibeThe Vesper 2 Necklace Vibe is an external vibrator cunningly disguised as a bold piece of jewelry.

Does this necklace sacrifice function for fashion, or will you want to keep it around your neck at all times? Read my review of the Vesper 2 to find out.

Key Takeaways
4 out of 5 stars

While this is a relatively niche product, it serves its purpose very, very well. Though the necklace may be a bit bold, depending on your usual fashion choices, it is convincing enough as a piece of jewelry that no one will suspect that it’s anything other than a big necklace, let alone a vibrator.

And while I could have done with more than 4 vibration options, especially at this price point, the vibrations are quite powerful. It’s a touch louder than I would like in a toy that’s meant to be completely discreet, but it’s still quiet enough to use without being obvious.

Who Should Try It? If you like the idea of a wearable vibe, I can’t imagine a much better option than this. You can wear it without fear of awkward questions and you can use it in public (within reason, of course) without it getting too loud.

Who Can Skip It? If the idea of taking your play outside doesn’t appeal to you, I won’t recommend this one. While it works perfectly well as a vibrator, at this price point, there are plenty of other options much better suited to the bedroom than the boardroom. Also, I’ve never put a height limit on a toy before, but since this necklace is so big (almost 30”, including the chain), if you’re under 5’4”, it will look absolutely massive on you.

You Can Buy It on the Babeland website for $165.

What Is The Vesper 2?

The Vesper 2 Necklace Vibe is a small external vibrator designed to be worn as a necklace. With 4 powerful vibration speeds, it is designed for some spicy outdoor play, either solo or with a partner. It also has quite a few upgrades from its predecessor, the Vesper. It comes in more color options than just silver, is fully waterproof, and has improved vibration.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

The box Vesper 2 comes in is very simple, and not as luxurious as I would have expected. I suppose this is a sex toy and not a “real” piece of jewelry, but for the same price, I could get something equally pretty from Swarovski and have it come in a proper jewelry box:

The packaging

The white box has a picture of the product on the front, and information on the sides and back. We do get some luxury in the form of the accompanying bag, however. It looks like a legitimate jewelry bag, and I always love it when vibrators come in a bag:

The storage bag

One thing I noticed about this toy was how many warnings it had. Aside from warnings in the instruction manual, there were little warning tags on both the vibe itself and the charger. While I obviously appreciate a company looking out for my safety, it did get me a little anxious before I tried it out! But it’s a very simple external vibrator, and behaved itself perfectly.

How Do I Use The Vesper 2?

  1. To charge the Vesper 2, unscrew the top portion of the toy (that connects to the chain), and screw in the charging cable. While the toy is charging, the light on the charging cable will glow orange, and when it is fully charged, it will glow blue.
  2. To use the toy, first make sure the cap is firmly screwed back on. Then, simply press the black button (the only button) to turn it on and to cycle through the 4 vibration modes. To turn it off, long-hold the button for 2 seconds.
  3. The Vesper 2 is designed only for external use, but beyond that, the adventures you choose to embark on are completely up to you. It is definitely designed for outdoor play, but whether you choose to use it alone or with a partner is your call.

My Personal Experience

Design

Overall, I was very impressed by the design of Vesper 2. Unlike the Fiore Rose Ring, this looks like a necklace someone would actually wear as a piece of jewelry. As you can see in the image below, it is quite long, and at a distance might look like either a whistle or a pen is around your neck, but I’ve seen actual jewelry with much weirder designs.

The length of the chain might be a problem for some, since it’s quite long at 26”. So if you’re on the more petite side like I am, this necklace will take up a good proportion of your body length. But if you’re tall and/or tend to favor bold jewelry in your everyday life, this necklace won’t raise any eyebrows. Plus, the chain is replaceable if you have a better option at home.

As a sex toy, the design is very sleek and allows for precision without being super tiny. The single button is easy to press, so if you’re using Vesper 2 in a public setting, there won’t be any needless fumbling around with a complicated button system. One thing that really impressed me about this toy was how minimally the vibrations traveled up to my hand. Usually with a toy like this, it’s a given that my fingers will feel the vibrations just as much as my clit, but that wasn’t the case with this toy. Of course, I felt it in my hands a little bit, but far less than I’ve sometimes experienced with toys that were bigger and less powerful.

The single control button

Material

The Vesper 2 is made of stainless steel with nickel-free plating. The rose gold and black versions of the toy are $109, but the 24k gold-plated version I have is $165. Whether the price increase is worth the gorgeous gold color is up to you, but I think it does help it look more like a piece of jewelry than a metal…thing around your neck. Though the black version might look really cool if you have an alt aesthetic. The button is made of silicone.

Stimulations

The stimulations were really the only issue I had with Vesper 2. Not the stimulations themselves, but the fact that there were only four of them, 3 vibrations that increased in intensity, and one pattern. For a toy at this price point, whether you’re paying $109 or $165, I think 7 patterns is the baseline they should have.

Sound Level

Vesper 2 isn’t loud by any means, at 42-47db (47db being the noise level of light rain), but if you use it in public, of course you’ll want to be extra mindful of the volume level. Want to take it to a concert? Go for it. A museum? Probably not.

Build Quality and Dimensions

With a length of 3.8”, the Vesper 2 is very small for a sex toy, but pretty large for a necklace (especially with the included 26” chain). While it’s not immediately apparent that it’s a sex toy, it is an attention-grabbing piece of jewelry. It feels very well-made, especially with the luxurious gold plating, and just heavy enough to feel like a nice piece of jewelry, but not so heavy that it will weigh you down.

Ease of Use

Vesper 2 is extremely easy to use, which makes it a great choice for public play.

Versatility

This necklace vibrator is only for external use, so in that regard it isn’t particularly versatile. However, unlike the original Vesper, it is waterproof, and since it doubles as a necklace, it can be used for discreet outdoor play in a way that, for example, the extremely versatile Flora Pro could not.

Warranty and Support

The Vesper 2 has a one-year warranty.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

My only issue with this toy was that there were only 4 vibration modes. For this price point, I would expect 7 at the very least. While the volume isn’t super loud, it does make some noise, so take care to make sure you won’t be overheard if you use it in public.

Alternatives to the Vesper 2

We-Vibe Tango X

If you like the idea of a discreet toy, but don’t necessarily want to wear one, the We-Vibe Tango X might be your best bet. At 3.93”, it’s just a little bit longer than the Vesper 2, it’s very powerful, and it has 7 vibration modes as well as the ability to adjust the intensity.

Lovense Lush 4

At the top spot in our current Best Remote-Controlled Vibrators list, the Lovense Lush 4 is a wearable vibe that is app-controlled and perfect for wearing in public or for long-distance partners. It only allows for internal pleasure, however. Though if you want to go all-out with your public play, you could pair it with the Vesper 2!
