My Personal Experience
I’ve wanted to try a necklace vibrator since I was born. Okay, maybe not that long, but at least for as long as I’ve enjoyed sex toys, which is my entire adult life. And Lovehoney Dare didn’t let me down. Quite the opposite; I was blown away.
Is this the smallest vibrator I own? Yes, by a landslide. Is it also the cutest? Probably. Is it the most powerful? No, but if you thought it was going to be the most powerful, I invite you to join us in reality, where the size of the motor will certainly affect the power. Due to its size, I found the amount of power pleasantly surprising.
Something else I found surprising was that the necklace was somewhat bigger than I had pictured. What I imagined was something no longer than the size of my pinky and maybe three times slimmer. What I received is longer than my pinky and rather substantial. But that’s because of the power Lovehoney Dare packs. It’s a statement piece.
The website said that after a full charge, the toy would last an hour. When I tested it, the Dare lasted just under two hours (112 minutes, to be exact) and took ninety minutes to reach a full charge. This is a fair charge time ratio because of how tiny the toy is and how powerful the vibes are. But it’s something you may want to plug in with every other use as it doesn’t have the monster battery of some other bullets.
Packaging
The packaging is perfectly suitable. As you can see in the image below, it comes in a thin cardboard box that looks a bit like a drugstore purchase. It’s not over-the-top giftable just from a packaging perspective, but I still think this makes the perfect gift because of what’s inside.
Design
The design is thoughtful and sexy. The charging cable, though it’s of a screw design and not magnetic, fits together perfectly and securely. The button is easy to find and press and the necklace is so well-made it looks better than a lot of the other jewelry I often wear (you can see it next to some of my jewelry in the image below). Some vibrating necklaces have adjustable lengths so you can decide if you want to wear them shorter or longer, but this one only has one length: 27”.

I was shocked by how powerful this vibrator was, given its size. It’s firmly on the buzzy side of the spectrum, but it’s just powerful enough that even some rumble fans may enjoy the toy. The stimulations aren’t the most powerful of the many toys I’ve tried, but they’re enough to get you turned on or push you over the edge if you can’t come from intercourse alone (and most people with vulvas cannot).
Sound Level
Sound level is crucial for toys that can be used for public play as this necklace vibrator can. When I tested it, the decibels ranged from 35 to 51, making it a moderately noisy model.

This necklace vibe has a one-button design (image below), which makes it extremely easy to use. The button turns the toy on and off and cycles through the settings. However, if you accidentally overshoot which setting you’d like to use, you’ll have to cycle through every single one before you get back to your fave. Fortunately, there are only five, so it won’t be too tedious.
Versatility
I was delighted by the versatility of this little necklace vibe. It has a travel lock, is waterproof, and is practically begging you to bring it on vacation. It has moderately strong vibrations, making it perfect for nipple stimulation, clitoral vibrations, or extra sensation anywhere you like, as long as it’s external.
