The Lovense Solace Pro is an app-controlled, AI-powered, desk-mountable penis stroker. If that sounds like a mouthful, it’s because this device has all the features. You can use it hands-free, long-distance, synced up to porn, just as a sleeve, in a box, or with a fox. Okay, those last two are from Green Eggs and Ham, but with all this functionality, you will want to use this bae on a train and in the rain.
When I received this in the mail, I was curious: does the ease of use get lost in all the versatility? Is it worth the price tag? Find out with me in my Lovense Solace Pro review!
This stroker is an absolute necessity for anyone who must have hands-free pleasure. The versatility is top-notch, but those who already own the Lovense Solace don’t necessarily need to upgrade since the changes aren’t significant, except for the clunkier design of the Pro.
Who Should Try It? The Lovense Solace Pro will become a nightly habit for a wide range of people. Cammers with penises, people who want a hands-free stroker, and those who watch a lot of adult content will enjoy the upgrade of synced stroking.
Who Can Skip It? If you plan to hold this toy in place most of the time while you use it, you would be much better off with a lighter stroker designed for hands-on use, like the KIIROO Feel Pock Stroker + Power Blow. The Lovense Solace Pro is also not an ideal purchase for people with erectile dysfunction as it’s difficult to use while flaccid, and you may want to upgrade to the Autoblow Vacuglide.
You Can Buy It on the official Lovense website for $189.

What Is the Lovense Solace Pro?
The Lovense Solace Pro penis stroker is a male masturbator meant for hands-free use. The smartphone app also makes it ideal for those who want to sync with porn, their partner’s device, or hand over the controls to a long-distance lover. It sturdily connects to desks and adjusts comfortably to an angle so that you can sit back, relax, and let the Pro handle the rest.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
Lovense’s unboxing experience is mid-grade yet giftable. The stroker comes in a solid box that looks high-tech, akin to your iPhone’s packaging. The Solace Pro came with a storage bag but no sample packet of lube—so that’s something you’ll need to grab beforehand. It also came with an instruction manual, the desk mount (in three separate pieces that turned out to be a cinch to put together), and the USB-C charging cable (seen in the image below).

- Speeds of up to 300 strokes per minute

How Do I Use the Lovense Solace Pro?
After you unbox the Lovense Solace Pro, charge it (note: this takes a while). After you wash the sleeve and grab some water-based lubricant, you have choices to make. Will you be using the buttons or the app? Will you use the mount for hands-free use or hold the device?
- The six-button interface is mercifully easy to figure out for those who want to operate the device manually. First is the power button, followed by two for the stroke length, two more for the stroke speed, and the pattern button.
- If you’re using the app, consider watching the video on Lovense’s website, which quickly summarizes each feature. Decide whether you want to create your own rhythm as you go, loop (to record a pattern that you don’t have to continue to control the buttons), use sounds or music to control the strokes, play a game, or watch adult content that syncs with the strokes.
- If you’re holding the Lovense Solace Pro, get into a comfortable position. Consider propping your arm up with pillows, as keeping the device in one place becomes tiring.
- If you plan to use the mount, find a piece of furniture with a suitable ledge, like a desk. Turn the screw clockwise to secure the mount to the furniture, then attach the stroker by putting the slider into the corresponding slots and screwing to secure it. Choose the most comfortable angle and rotate the screw at the elbow joint clockwise to fasten it. While at the desk, consider sitting on a towel so that you don’t create any stains on the chair. Now, you’re ready to play!
When you first turn the device on, it automatically extends to the longest possible position, a helpful feature that ensures it won’t bonk you in the balls, the Achilles heel of successful masturbation. Then, if you change the stroke length, the sleeve goes up higher rather than down lower for a more comfortable experience.
Once you turn on the Lovense Solace Pro, you can adjust the speed and the stroke length with the corresponding middle buttons. Put some lube on, wake up your erection, and you’re ready to go!
The website claimed that this lasted up to fourteen hours, perhaps the longest battery life I’ve ever heard of a sex toy having. When we tested it, it lasted much shorter than that, but still long enough for you to have several orgasms unless you’re Sting. We tested it on the first setting, and it lasted a little less than nine hours, which is impressive but well under the suggested fourteen. It took three and a half hours to come to a full charge, though the website suggested it would take two hours. The battery was worse on both ends than expected, which was a bit disappointing.
My Personal Experience
You may be thinking: Angela, you don’t have a penis! And you’re right, I don’t, but I have one on loan from my partner, who cheerfully volunteered to research with me.
This is the first penis stroker my partner and I played with that had a desk mount, and we couldn’t wait to try it all over the house. When I realized that you could affix the Lovense Solace Pro to furniture, my first inclination was to attach it to everything because I am the silliest goose. Yes, obviously, I wanted my partner to fuck our desk, but I also wanted him to do the nightstand, the bed, the kitchen counter. Why not? Well, as it turns out, you can’t fuck all the furniture in your house because most things don’t have a long enough platform to attach the masturbator to. So, there was no nightstand fucking, no bed masturbating, no handy from the bathroom sink.
After trying it mounted as well as holding it while masturbating in bed, my partner felt that the desk mount was the preferable way to use this masturbator because otherwise, you must use your arm strength to hold the motor in place (You can see the desk mount above). Otherwise, the motor moves up and down rather than the stroker. It’s not a huge effort, but it’s something to be mindful of before choosing the stroker for you. And if you masturbate for a long time, it can be tiring.
We were both surprised by how drastically the battery life differed from the estimated use and charge time. Usually, sex toys, especially ones developed by brands as beloved as Lovense, are within the ballpark of the battery life suggested, but this one was not.
I think the name “Solace” is a strange choice for a voracious penis stroker. It’s not so much calming as a call to action. And when he used it, it looked like a security camera was zooming all the way in on his dick. But the setup was so easy and the app was so fun that this will be in his regular rotation of favorite toys.
Packaging
The Lovense Solace Pro packaging was solid: not overly fancy but equipped with everything you need. We were pleased to see that it comes with a storage bag because a lot of the larger stroking devices do not.
Design
The design is strange, yet it is attractive and durable.
Online, the sleeve is described as “soft, stretchy, and realistic.” The first two descriptors are true, but the last one is false. The sleeve isn’t lifelike, though it is flesh-colored (for those of European descent). And the inside is covered with so many bumps, it may feel textured and fun, but certainly not realistic unless your vagina looks like an inside-out corn cob.
Material
Overall, the Solace Pro is made of durable, made-to-last materials. It’s sturdy as can be, and much of the device feels like it is made from ABS plastic. However, the sleeve is another story since it is made from TPE (image below). TPE is safe for your body for several uses but can harbor bacteria if you use it longer than that. That’s why the warranty only covers the sleeve for three months and the rest of the stroker is covered for a full year.
The sleeve came with some powder on it, and it wasn’t sticky until my partner washed it. But then it was sticky, making this a tough one to sanitize. You may want to replace the sleeve occasionally to ensure you don’t have ancient bacteria hanging around, waiting to ruin your day.
Stimulations
My partner found the stimulations comparable to a hand job—pleasurable, efficient, and a nice change of pace from regular masturbation. They can go fast or slow, deep or shallow, so the stimulations are customizable to your fantasy and penis size.
Sound Level
Lovense said this toy would stay below 63 decibels, and the sound level ranged between 48 to 59 decibels when we tested it. We were both shocked at how quiet this was.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The desk mount is as sturdy as you could ask for, plus it moves 180 degrees, so you’re nearly guaranteed to find a comfortable position. The quality is notable, but the dimensions are weird. The stroker sleeve is now removable from the motor for manual use and easier cleaning, but making for a bulkier design that is harder to hold. (You can see how the size compares to other strokers we tested below).
Ease of Use
Assembly was straightforward since it comes pretty much assembled. One thing we weren’t expecting was that the thruster would come completely apart. You can take the stroker off and use it separately if you wish. Overall, it was intuitive, and using the mount only entails three steps to set up. The desk mount took two minutes to set up and twenty seconds to fully dismantle.
The website recommends cleaning the sleeve by taking it out of the stroker (twisting off the top), rinsing it, and letting it drip dry. With all those bumps and ridges combined with the sticky texture, we wanted to be more thorough, so we washed it with antibacterial soap, which worked well. Pro-tip: with sticky, gummy-textured toys, a lint-proof towel is an absolute must. Anything less will leave you with a furry pet rather than a sleek penis sleeve.
App
The Lovense app has endless fun features to play with, but their direct correspondence to the toy’s stimulations was varied. We tried the games, and they were amusing. They had a Tetris-inspired game, which took a lot of concentration and didn’t seem to affect the stroker at all. They also have a game called “Seduce Your Ex,” where you shoot random body parts toward an animated figure that represents your ex, and in exchange, you are rewarded with strokes. It was hilarious but not incredibly sensual.
The app also promises to sync with adult content like videos or live streams of your favorite performers. But it warns that the content should list certain positions, like missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, and blowjob, for the ideal syncing experience.
You’ll need to get a second app called VibeMate if you’d like to sync the stroking sensations with porn. After you download the app, you can choose between straight, gay, and trans porn. We love inclusive adult content, but it would have been nice to have an option for bisexual people or descriptions that align with people who are not cis males! Changing your choice once you have selected is tough. Also, you need to sync the stroker to the VibeMate app even if you’ve already synced it to the Lovense app.
When we tried syncing the porn to the stroker, it worked well. You can (and should!) tip the workers on this app. If it says “connecting,” hold the power button, and it will sync and then “connected,” which was a little confusing. It won’t connect when it says “connecting” unless you take that additional step. You may also need to log in to get it to sync. With adult streaming content, you get rewarded with strokes when the streamer gets a tip. We lost the connection a few times, so this is still a work in progress. After you leave the VibeMate app, you’ll still be connected to the Lovense app.
My partner tried the pattern button, and it felt random and chaotic, and not necessarily like it was building to a climax—more like a cat was stepping on the buttons.
The app also says that it is compatible with VR if you have Apple Vision Pro, but sadly we do not, so we could not test this aspect. Using a masturbator while gaming sounds intense. Soon, maybe we’ll have the technology to sync masturbating devices with anything at all. I’m picturing watching a cooking show and every time the chef slices an onion, you get a stroke; or a horror movie, where every time the serial killer stabs someone, it thrusts. Think of the Pavlovian effects this could have!
One of the best parts about the app is that the website has a step-by-step video that shows you how to get everything done. There’s no guesswork at all.

Versatility
The Solace Pro is a versatile device especially since you can separate the stroker from the motor. Further, the Lovense app allows you to control the stroker from any distance, making this an ideal choice for long-distance partners. The app makes your experience endlessly customizable, and you can have a different path to orgasm every time you use it.
However, my partner couldn’t get this to work very well while his penis was soft. There isn’t suction to pull a soft penis in, so plan on being hard to use this device, and don’t buy it if you have ED.
Warranty and Support
Lovense covers its products with a one-year warranty for defects in materials or workmanship. However, the TPE sleeve is covered only for 90 days. They also offer a ten-year quality guarantee, so if your device starts to fail, you get a 55% discount on your next Lovense purchase. That’s generous!
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
On several occasions, my partner’s arm tired without the desk mount before he could get off. The battery life mismatch irked me a bit; though it lasted long enough for orgasms, it’s quite different from what the brand suggests it should be. The TPE sleeve will certainly not last as long as the rest of the device, so plan to buy another after the original shows wear and tear.

Alternatives to the Lovense Solace Pro
Lovense Solace
The original iteration of this high-tech penis stroker has a desk mount and is compatible with the app, though the battery life is two hours shorter, which won’t make a difference to people who take less than twelve hours to climax. You still have the capability to sync to adult streamers or interactive games, but the strokes only go up to 280 per minute. Strangely, the stroke length is 0.2” shorter on the Solace Pro, but most people won’t notice that change. The original Solace comes with a neutral sleeve, but you can pay extra to get one that looks more like a vulva if you please.
The new design is clunkier but easier to assemble. The original design is easier to hold, but if you plan to use the mount every time, the Solace Pro is the winner.

LELO F1S V3
The LELO F1S V3 also comes in a medium size, and the big selling point of the F1S is the ability to customize your size and pick something that will be the best fit for your erection. The F1S is a typical thermos-style masturbator, making it easier to hold than the Solace Pro, but it will not work as well for hands-free masturbation.
However, the F1S has vibration rather than stroking, so if that won’t get you off, spring for the Lovense Solace Pro instead. Lastly, LELO’s app pales in comparison to Lovense’s app, but it gets the job done.

KIIROO Feel Pocket Stroker + Power Blow
The KIIROO Feel Pocket Stroker is an excellent budget choice for someone who wants something more low-tech. The device combines the familiar stimulations of stroking with an added suction upgrade. It’s under $100 and the best place to start if you don’t need all the elevated features of the Lovense Solace Pro. The difference between the two apps is stark, though; anyone who wants to use the app will prefer the Solace Pro.
You can read my KIIROO Feel Pocket Stroker review here.
Autoblow Vacuglide
On the other end of the spectrum, the Autoblow Vacuglide is about as high-tech a male masturbator as you could hope to find. It won’t take you out to dinner, but it does just about everything else—and it should, for $900. It sucks (in the good way), it’s gorgeous, and it’s the apple of my partner’s eye. And it even works while flaccid, so it’s the perfect choice for people with ED. However, it doesn’t have an app, so it won’t work for people in long-distance relationships.
