OMGGG! MeltieThe Meltie, another sweet treat from JimmyJane’s OMGGG! lineup, promises to be so good it’ll make you melt. Does it deliver, or is it about as hot as an unexpected cold snap? Read my Meltie review to find out.

Key Takeaways
4 out of 5 stars

The design of Meltie is adorable yet functional, a combination I always appreciate. The rounded shape with flat sides means there are multiple ways to slide it around your body, and experimenting with what feels best will be as much fun as choosing your favorite ice cream flavor. I also appreciated the button. I’ve struggled with the buttons on some other toys in the OMGGG! line, but the button on the Meltie was located in a position that made it easy to press, and it was responsive when I did press it.

Who Should Try It? Its unassuming, cute looks and its low price point would make Meltie a good option for a beginner.

Who Can Skip It? If you have more than one vibrator in your collection, this one isn’t really a necessary addition. It is adorable, but its functionality is basic, and probably won’t offer anything new.

You Can Buy It on the official JimmyJane website for 29.99.

What Is The OMGGG! Meltie?

The Meltie is a popsicle-themed treat from JimmyJane’s OMGGG! line. Adorable yet functional, this external vibe has 10 different vibration modes, with three regular vibes that increase in intensity and seven patterns. In keeping with the popsicle theme, it has a long handle, making it a great choice for partner play.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

I really love the packaging for the OMGGG! line. The Meltie comes in a bag that looks like it comes right out of a candy store, and it comes with adorable stickers, a reusable bag, a charging cable, and a card directing you to their customer service in case you have an issue.

The content of the box

However, I did get a laugh out of the language they used on the outer packaging. The front commands you to “Lick. Drip. Desire”, and the back states that this is the only ice cream that “licks back”. First of all, this is a vibrator, not a suction toy, so “licking” isn’t really part of the equation. Second of all…it shouldn’t lick back because you shouldn’t be licking it in the first place. I mean, you could, but it’s hardly necessary. The graphic on the front of the bag also depicts the toy saying, “I’m…your dripping delight of desire.” If this toy is dripping in any way, you should give that customer service number a call ASAP.

  • Material: Silicone, ABS
  • Dimensions: 5.31” x 1.69” x 0.55”

How Do I Use OMGGG! Meltie?

First, plug in the Meltie. This is easier said than done, since I had a bit of difficulty getting the pin in just the right place. Once I’d inserted it partway, I had to wiggle it around a bit, but I got it eventually. The light around the power button will blink while the toy is charging, and glow steadily once it’s ready for playtime.

  1. Every good ice cream needs a topping, so I’d recommend a dollop of water-based lube as a little extra treat.
  2. To turn on the Meltie, simply hold down the power button for 2 seconds.
  3. Then, continue pressing the power button to cycle through the 10 different vibrations.
  4. Once you’ve properly melted, turn off the Meltie by holding down the power button again.

My Personal Experience

Design

The overall design of this is adorable yet functional, a combination I always appreciate. The rounded shape with flat sides means there are multiple ways to slide it around your body, and experimenting with what feels best will be as much fun as choosing your favorite ice cream flavor.

 OMGGG! Meltie

I also appreciated the button. I’ve struggled with the buttons on some other toys in this line, but the button on the Meltie was located in a position that made it easy to press, and it was responsive when I did press it.

Material

The Meltie is made of Silicone and ABS plastic. The silicone is soft and smooth to the touch, but isn’t flexible.

The vibrator tip

Stimulations

The Meltie has 10 stimulations, three of which are regular vibes that increase in intensity, and seven of which are patterns. The vibrations are pretty intense, but unfortunately, that means they travel up the handle and into your hand. It’s not as bad as some of the other toys in the OMGGG! lineup, but it’s still uncomfortable and less than ideal.

Sound Level

Meltie is relatively quiet, which I appreciated. Between its sound and its size (more on that in the next section), it’s quite discreet.

The charging port

Build Quality and Dimensions

With a length of 5.31 inches (a lot of which is the small handle), a width of 1.69 inches, and a height of 0.55 inches, the Meltie is a perfectly adorable size. Since it comes with a bag, I can see it making a very fun travel toy if you want to add a little spice to your summer vacation.

In terms of overall quality, it is fine for the price. It is adorable, it is powerful, and 10 different vibration modes are perfectly respectable. However, little details like the fact that I struggled to plug in the charging cable at first, or the visible gap between the blue/purple part of the ice cream and the yellow part (a gap that isn’t there in the photos on the website) all make the Meltie seem a little less than luxe. Of course not every toy needs to be fancy, and the design is just so cute, but to me, this toy didn’t feel super high quality.

The control button

Ease of Use

Melti is extremely intuitive and easy to use. From the single button to the rounded design, it’s easy to find the vibe that you, well, vibe with.

Versatility

The versatility was one thing I really appreciated about Melti. While the popsicle design is adorable, it also serves a purpose—giving you multiple surfaces to press up against your erogenous zones. You can use the rounded top, the thin, flat side, or the flat surface. Since it’s an external vibe, you or a partner can play around and experiment with which sides work best on which external erogenous zones. It’s also IPX6, meaning it’s splash-proof.

Warranty and Support

The Meltie comes with a one-year warranty.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

One issue I had was that it was difficult plugging in the charging cable. For a few seconds, I thought I had another Cherry Emojibator on my hands! Eventually, I was able to get the pin in the right spot, but it took a fair bit of wiggling around to get it there.

Aside from my charging issues, my other issue with Meltie was just how much the vibrations traveled to my hand. I’m not an expert (I took Rocks for Jocks as my science requirement), but it does make sense that a tiny handle would be ill-equipped to, well, handle the intense vibrations from the toy, and would send them straight to your hand. Is it worth it for such an adorable-looking toy? That’s up to you.

Alternatives to OMGGG! Meltie

The Strawberry Emojibator

If you like the aesthetics of the Meltie, but want something a little extra, the Strawberry Emojibator is another great choice. It’s also adorable, and has a similar flat shape with a rounded top, but offers a bit more precision with its more pointed strawberry top (or bottom, depending on how you’re looking at it). It also has a suction component, which I typically prefer to a regular vibrator. The only downside is that its volume makes it less of a good choice for travel.

Hide & Play Lipstick

If price and discretion are your primary concerns when it comes to getting a toy, then the CalExotics Hide & Play Lipstick Vibrator might be one to look at. It’s the same price as the Meltie, but instead of an ice cream, it’s disguised as a lipstick. The fact that it uses a battery (as opposed to being rechargeable) is a downside, as well as the fact that the button is difficult to press while you’re using it. But those are small prices to pay if you want your toy to be as discreet as possible.
