First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

The Satisfyer packaging in general is fine, but the one thing I really don’t like and will complain about in every review because yes, it is that deep, is the fact that the user manual and the charging cord are both wrapped in plastic.

Plastic aside, the packaging for this toy was…okay. I like that it gives a lot of information about the toy, but the way it lists the fact it’s made of silicone and has vibrations separately from the fact that it uses air pulses is a strange design choice. And for a toy with such an adorable design, why make the box look so basic? Surely some retro-futuristic design would fit a rocket ship-themed toy better.

How Do I Use Satisfyer Mission Control?

To set yourself up for a successful launch, charge up your Mission Control with the included charging cable. Since the body is round and it uses magnetic charging pins, it can be a little tricky to set it up in such a way that the charging cable stays in place.
Before you begin, it’s always helpful to put a little bit of lube around the rim of a suction toy, just to be sure it stays in place and forms a seal around your clit. Always just water-based lube on a silicone toy.
To turn on the suction feature, hold the middle button (with the power symbol and the double lines). To increase the intensity of the air pressure, continue pressing this button.
To decrease the intensity of the air pressure waves, press the bottom button (with the double lines).
To use the vibration feature, hold the top button (shaped like a sideways S), and continue pressing it to cycle through the 12 vibration modes. Vibration and suction functions can be used in tandem or separately.
To turn off the suction feature, hold down the middle button. To turn off the vibrations, hold down the top button.

My Personal Experience

Design

As with any toy that gets a solid 3 stars, there were things I liked about the design, and things that I did not. Let’s start with the positives. I loved where the rim of the lip was placed. One issue I’ve had with some Satisfyer models is that the lip isn’t separated enough from the rest of the toy, making it hard to place it correctly at first. However, putting the lip on the bottom of a cylindrical toy was a great move, as far as I’m concerned.

One aspect of Mission Control I didn’t love was how hard the buttons were to see. I liked that they had a silver ring around them—it also made for a really cute design element—but I really had to feel them out while I was using it. Another issue I had was that the vibrations seemed a lot stronger at the top (where I was holding it) than the bottom (where, you know, my clit was). I suppose you could use it as a dual-ended vibrator, but since part of the purpose of the toy is to give you both sensations in tandem, that’s just not the same.

Material

The Mission Control is made of Silicone, and it feels extremely smooth and soft. It isn’t flexible or squishy at all, but in a sex toy like this, those aren’t exactly necessary attributes.

Mission Control has 11 air pressure intensity levels and 12 vibration modes (5 regular vibrations that increase in intensity and 7 patterns). Since the vibrations traveled to my hand so much, I preferred using it purely as a suction toy. There is a big difference between the weakest and strongest intensities, and with so many to choose from, you’re sure to find a favorite. As I say, the vibrations weren’t the best, since I felt them so much more in my hand than my clit, so using that function on its own was not particularly pleasant.

This toy was quite quiet, which makes it a discreet choice.

Build Quality and Dimensions

With a total length of only 4 inches and a width of 3 inches, Mission Control is quite small. Between its size and its silence, it would be a great travel vibrator, if only Satisfyer swapped out their excess plastic packaging for a reusable bag you could keep it in. Because while the box is nice, it’s too bulky to want to travel with.

I also appreciated the build quality. The silicone felt great, and the little design touches, like the metallic oval around the buttons, made it feel special and adorable.

Ease of Use

My only issue in terms of ease of use was how hard it was to see the buttons. Obviously, I quickly became able to just feel around for the right one, but it was still a downside. It is very easy to press the wrong button and suddenly start vibing more intensely when you wanted to increase the suction.

Versatility

Since the vibration function was not super comfortable to use, Mission Control is less versatile than I had hoped. And while it would be a great size and noise level for travel, the fact that it doesn’t come with a bag makes it less versatile in that regard as well. But it is IPX7 waterproof, so you can explore the deep ocean as well as deep space. Well, about 3.3 feet of the deep ocean.

Warranty and Support

Mission Control comes with a 15-year warranty. That’s about as long as it would take to get to Pluto via shuttle.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

I had two issues with Mission Control. The first is that the vibrations traveled to my hand a lot more than my clit, making the vibes uncomfortable to use. The other, much smaller, issue is that the buttons were hard to see. While you could obviously feel around for them, I think making them metallic silver would have been a cute, space-age touch.
