How We Picked the Products

For this article, Sandra handpicked 24 shower-friendly, squishy dildos before developing a timetable on how the sex experts would test each. 1. Vixskin Mustang: Our Overall Test Winner!

Why we love Vixen Creations Vixskin Mustang:

Mustang’s silicone material stood out. It felt squishy on the hands and inside the vagina, making it a good option for everyone, including people with extra-sensitive G-spots. It’s also worth pointing out it had the strongest suction cup which is very important for great shower sex. Something else that stood out during the review was the realistic detailing. “Vixskin Mustang is ideal for people who like realistic-looking sex toys,” our lead product tester Rachel Sommer wrote in her test report. “Everything from the veiny shaft to the lifelike, bulbous head and well-defined coronal ridge emphasizes the manufacturer’s attention to detail”, Rachel added.

The design was another highlight with a curved build that simplified G-spot stimulation. On the other hand, the pointed tip and tapered build facilitate penetration, even for beginners without much experience with intrusive sex toys. “I’ve used the dildo on Tim severally for anal stimulation, and it always works wonders. The tapered design (image below) enhances insertion, while the angled shaft makes targeting the elusive prostate gland easy. And for an anal play beginner, my fiancé appreciates the slimline build”, Sandra Larson reported.

Besides simplifying insertion, Lovehoney Curved’s small size induces a breath of fresh air for folks with ultra-sensitive anal cavities. “Unlike other dildos, I’ve used for anal play, this one was more ‘hospitable,’ and I didn’t have to contend with after-use soreness,” emphasized Tim Larson. Mini Teddy has made my sexcapades in the shower twice as fun. I loved the thrusting intensity and the humming effect that felt like faint vibrations. It’d been nice if the dildo had vibration modes to complement the self-thrusting action, but the hands-free pumping worked flawlessly.

Velvet Thruster Mini Teddy’s motor has a maximum speed of 128 strokes in a minute. While you probably won’t get to the top speed, you’ll be excited to cycle through the six speeds. The testers also noted the realistic detailing when reviewing the Velvet Thruster Mini Teddy. The veiny shaft, bulbous head, and defined corona add aesthetic value to its appearance. In addition, the tapered design simplifies the penetration and subsequent thrusting.

Mini Teddy’s suction cup base was another highlight. Again, I’ve used dildos with a more stable suction base, but it was decent. And with a few drops of water on the surface, the connection was more than enough.

Note: Thruster Prime dildos are available for the more experienced folks. And while they’re more expensive than the Thruster Mini Teddy, they’re more rigid, longer, and have better battery life.

Minor issues we found during testing:

My main concern was the whirling sound from the thrusting action. It sounded like an old sewing machine and can be annoying at higher speeds. Mini Teddy is also not the most flexible we reviewed. The stiff, erect build makes it challenging to hit your sweet spots. Perhaps, you can find a better alternative with the same thrusting feature in this thrusting dildo and vibrator guide.

Lastly, the build quality was impressive. Lovense products are known for quality artistry, and Mission 2 was no exception. Everything from the well-thought-out dimensions (5-inch insertable length and 4.56″ girth) to the choice of materials (silicone) and waterproofness made it stand out.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Our primary concern was the soft tip. Although it didn’t affect the quality of sensations, individuals seeking intense massage on the G-spot will be disappointed.

Why we love VixSkin Maverick:

The suction was powerful and passed our rigorous testing phases as one of the better ones (but not as good as Mustang’s). And besides being harness-compatible, the broad base makes the shower dildo anal sex-friendly.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, the girthy Maverick is better suited for experienced folks seeking intense vaginal stretching, locking out beginners and intermediate users.

I found it more challenging to hit the G-spot with the girthy dildo than Vixskin Mustang because the bulbous head is much softer, and generating enough friction to offset G-spot orgasms was an uphill battle. You should choose another model if this is important to you.

In addition, Maverick is expensive ($199 – $150). Consider getting the Lovehoney Curved 6-inch if you’re on a budget.
