Womanizer VibeTouted as the world’s first noiseless vibrator, the Womanizer Vibe has high marks to meet. Words like noiseless and silent are intense, and I just had to find out whether it lived up to the hype. Further, it’s a lay-on vibrator with a new vibration technology called UltraWave. New vibration technology? Yes, please! Find out if it is worth the cash in my review!

Key Takeaways
4.9 out of 5 stars

Yes, it lived up to the hype. Especially the UltraWave vibrations will revolutionize the way you masturbate. A smoother, more elegant, and elevated experience is what you can expect from these gentle, powerful, surprising sensations. You’ll get a glimpse of the future of sex tech: a completely silent, powerful, sensory extravaganza. If you have the money to spend, you can’t miss this, even if you already own a vibrator you love.

Who Should Try It? People with misophonia or anyone who just doesn’t love the background buzz of a loud vibe will be so thrilled to have a near-silent toy. People with roommates or family members and thin walls will want to grab this to elevate their playtime while keeping things discreet. Anyone who loves vibrators but wants a new, state-of-the-art experience will fall in love with this toy.

Who Can Skip It? If you don’t like clitoral vibration in general, the Womanizer Vibe may not change your mind.

What Is the Womanizer Vibe?

The Womanizer Vibe isn’t just any regular vibe—it’s a cool vibe. How cool is it? Well, it is silent, and it has a different kind of vibration than I’d ever heard of called UltraWave. Further, it’s a lay-on vibrator built with a thoughtful shape for pinpoint or broad stimulation. Plus, it’s loaded with features like Autopilot which has three preset modes that take control of the settings so you can sit back, relax, and orgasm. This is Womanizer’s first foray into the world of vibration rather than clitoral air pulses, and they came out swinging.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

The unboxing experience was so enjoyable! I loved the color scheme of this package; it was all blue to match my blue vibe. The box looks modern and no-nonsense, and everything inside is packed so lovingly that it makes for a giftable experience.

The content of the box

Inside the box, you’ll find the Womanizer Vibe, cotton storage bag, quick start guide, compliance and safety information, #IMasturbate sticker (everybody needs one), and a USB charging cable (all seen in the image above). It has everything you need, minus a sample packet of lube!

Features

The Womanizer Vibe has features that enhance the vibe, including:

  • UltraWave vibration
  • Ten intensity levels to play with
  • Waterproof, body-safe materials
  • Ergonomic shape
  • Three Autopilot modes

Specifications

Womanizer Vibe specifications at a glance:

  • Material: ABS plastic, body-safe silicone
  • Size: 5.6” x 1.9” x 2.1”
  • Color: Dusky pink, sage, dark blue
  • Mechanism: Clitoral vibration
  • Weight: 5 ounces

How Do I Use the Womanizer Vibe?

After you unbox the Womanizer Vibe, charge the vibrator with the included USB recharging cord. Line up the charging pins with the charger, and you’ll know it’s charging when the LED light begins to flash. Once it stays steadily lit, it is fully charged. The LED Power Button also clues you in to how much battery life is left. When it’s fully charged, the light stays on; when it is half charged, the LED flashes fast; and when it’s almost out of battery, the light flashes slowly.

The website suggested it would take ninety minutes to charge and then last ninety minutes on a full charge. The manual had yet a different number, saying it would run for ninety minutes and then take two hours to charge. As it turns out, they were both wrong. When I tested it, it took nearly two hours to charge and then lasted well over fourteen hours on the lowest setting. I began to think this powerful vibe wouldn’t quit until we turned it off!

After the Womanizer vibrator is fully charged, wash it with antibacterial soap and warm water and then dry it with a lint-proof towel. Grab some water-based lubricant and put it on your clit and the vibrator, too.

The user manual

Next, place it in a comfortable position. If you are going to use it as a lay-on vibrator, find a somewhat firm, somewhat soft location. The bed works well because you can nestle it into the mattress, and chances are it will stay in place. A hardwood floor is not the ideal choice because it will rock back and forth on its curved spine, plus you’ll lose the noiselessness and hear a large clattering sound. Now it’s time to explore the settings.

The three-button interface isn’t difficult to navigate. The s-shaped button is for the Autopilot setting, and it will turn on or off when you press and hold it for two seconds. Pressing it briefly will cycle you through the three Autopilot modes. The plus button turns the Womanizer Vibe on if you press it for two seconds. If you press it quickly, it turns up the intensity. The minus button turns the device off when held down and decreases the intensity when quickly pressed.

The Womanizer Vibe has an automatic shutoff function that happens roughly every 30 minutes. This is a feature I can get behind. Many vibrators have an automatic shutoff that kicks in every 20 minutes, or worse, 15. That is just too short for people who like to savor long playtime sessions, like me. The reason it shuts off is so that if this gets unintentionally turned on (also like me), you won’t lose all the battery life. This feature would be useful if you’re traveling and you don’t have the cord with you.

When you’re finished, wash the Womanizer Vibe and keep it with its cord in the storage bag. Thanks to the generous battery life, you won’t need to charge it in between uses unless you see the LED light up. Remember to keep it in a temperate place in your house, and don’t store it with other silicone vibrators. If you have a large sex toy storage container and throw all your silicone toys in one bin, they can damage each other’s exterior, leaving them porous and prone to bacteria, the same way that silicone lube might. Keeping this product in its bag and away from other toys will extend its lifespan.

My Personal Experience

I was so excited to try the new UltraWave and find out what I thought. New ways to get off via clitoral vibration don’t come around that often, so I was excited for the novelty but I was also nervous that it would be gimmicky or wouldn’t live up to the marketing. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I have tried so many vibrators that I was certain there weren’t any new kinds of vibration—but I was fortunately incorrect. This vibrator has refined stimulations that create an experience so smooth that I think it might be hard to go back to the other type of vibrator. It’s addicting! It feels somehow more gentle and more rumbly. It also feels like the type of sensation that might bother people who go numb easily, but that’s not me.

Further, there is a lot of hand transfer. You will feel the full extent of the vibrations if you hold the handle rather than lying on the vibrator.

The box describes the Womanizer Vibe as a lay-on vibrator, so I tested it first by lying on it. I had never tried a lay-on model before, so I was excited to find a new way to jill off. Do I prefer laying on a vibrator rather than having it lay on me? No, but it was a fun experiment. I found myself placing my hand under the Vibe even when I was on top of it to get it to put pressure on precisely the right spot. But it was comfortable and stayed put, so people who do like to get off that way won’t have any trouble.

When I performed the battery test, I kept the vibrator in my pocket so I could feel when it shut off because there is no way I could have heard it! Even in my pocket, it was virtually silent unless I held it up to my ear. My partner couldn’t hear it when he sat right next to me and I held it in my hand. It’s like some sort of military drone. I was beyond impressed, especially considering how powerful the vibrations were.

Lastly, I tried the Autopilot modes and was pleased to find them enjoyable rather than annoying. Perhaps I was mesmerized by this new kind of vibration, but I didn’t need consistency like I usually do to reach climax. When I tried the Autopilot on other Womanizer suction devices, it felt too jarring. But these options were a lovely addition to this vibe, and I was shocked to find out how much fun rhythmic vibrations can be.

Packaging

This was my favorite Womanizer unboxing to date. The packaging matched the device, and everything was so carefully tucked in. It’s sophisticated AF. Plus, it’s discreet as can be, arriving at my door in a plain cardboard box from a shipping company called Wow Tech. 10/10!

The packaging

Design

I am in love with the design. It has what Womanizer calls “pleasure edges,” but that essentially describes a small point on the head of the device that you can dig in for extra pinpoint stimulations. I love pinpoint, so I was so pleased to have a powerful, pinpoint pleasure-maker in my arsenal. But you can also flip it around and use the back of it for more broad sensations, though it might be harder to keep it in place that way if you are lying on it. Further, the vibrations don’t transfer as well through the back side, so you’ll need to use a higher intensity to get the same experience you would on a lower intensity using the front side.

I did notice a small problem with the design, however. If you lie on top of this vibrator, there’s no remote control or app to help you easily adjust the settings. Instead, you must just keep the same one or change positions in the middle, which might disrupt your flow.

The control buttons on Womanizer Vibe

As you can see in the image above, the button placement was a little bit counterintuitive, depending on how the toy is used. If you hold the length of the handle while using it, you will need to press the bottom button to turn up the intensity and the middle button to turn it down, which takes a little bit of focus to remember, a focus that I don’t have, pre-orgasm. If you flip it the other way, the handle reaches down further, and the vibrations travel to the vaginal opening, which feels incredible! But in this position, it’s difficult to reach the buttons at all. This minor inconvenience won’t matter for anyone who is lying on it and not planning on changing the intensity or rhythm while they masturbate. But I like to slowly ramp up, so it affected my experience, though only slightly.

Lastly, the Womanizer Vibe’s handle is tapered. It’s straightforward to hold unless you get lube on your hands, in which case it will slip away. Alternatively, it’s easy to hold with your thighs.

Material

The Womanizer Vibe is made from body-safe, waterproof materials: a combination of ABS plastic at the base of the toy, and the rest is covered in silky, sumptuous silicone. It feels and looks luxurious and durable. Just remember to use water-based lube when you’re using this vibrator so that it stays smooth and silky.

Stimulations

The main draw of the Womanizer Vibe is that it has something called UltraWave vibration. Sometimes, sex toy company marketers come up with new jargon to label an age-old stimulation, and I wanted to find out if this was the case here. UltraWave stimulations are described as being “richer, softer, and quieter” than regular vibration. The website shows the different vibration mechanisms, with a regular lipstick vibrator rotating into vibration while the Womanizer Vibe uses an up-and-down pulsing mechanism. I was skeptical that I would be able to tell much of a difference, but I could! If regular vibrators are like a flight with turbulence, this is more of a smooth flight. It feels upgraded—there’s no mechanical clanking. I love it!

The device charging

The three Autopilot modes take the reins and show you a good time. Autopilot is a feature that has pre-set vibration sequences inspired by music, meant to thrill and surprise you out of your regular masturbation routine. The modes are named melody (a slow burn), harmony (pulsing waves), and orchestral (electrifying chaos). These rhythms were subtle enough that I enjoyed them even though I typically stick to consistent vibration, and using the melody mode was a fun change.

The vibrations are certainly on the rumbly side of the spectrum, though I expected them to be buzzy. They are powerful, and you can feel them in your thighs and stomach when you use higher intensities.

Sound Level

Womanizer’s marketing set the bar quite high for how little noise we should be able to hear with this since they described it as silent and noiseless. The video showing how to use this vibe described it as the most silent vibe ever. Even the box said, “Enjoy the Silence.” What I found was that it was shockingly hard to hear on the lower levels but naturally became more audible as the intensity increased. When I tested the decibels, they were below 40. It’s the quietest vibrator I own, no matter which intensity you choose.

Build Quality and Dimensions

Womanizer’s build quality is always excellent, and the Vibe has raised the bar. It feels seamless and expertly assembled. The dimensions are a bit large compared with most vibrators I own (as you can see in the below image) but it’s not unwieldy. It’s totally wieldy. It’s also sturdy, which is crucial since you may be lying on it. I also like that it’s firm enough and wide enough that it tends to stay in the place you put it, which was another pleasant surprise.

Womanizer Vibe with some other vibrators I own

Ease of Use

The Womanizer Vibe is easy as pie to use. The three-button interface is easy to understand (though the placement is slightly counterintuitive), and the waterproof materials make it a cinch to clean. The magnetic charger makes charging a breeze, and the LED light lets you know how much battery you have left.

Versatility

The Womanizer Vibe is one of the most versatile vibes I have. It’s waterproof, which is crucial because who doesn’t love masturbating in the tub? It has two sides for different types of stimulation, appealing to lovers of broad and pinpoint vibrations. It is quiet and unobtrusive to use during solo or partnered play. And it has a vast spectrum of intensities. If you want the faintest whisper of a buzz, you can have that on setting one. Or, if you want a heart-pounding rumble, the higher intensities will give you what you need.

The only item of note that could increase the Womanizer Vibe’s versatility is the addition of an app or remote control, especially for use while lying on this device.

Warranty and Support

Womanizer offers a five-year warranty on this Vibe because their products are made to last!

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

The Womanizer Vibe (and especially the UltraWave stimulation) is easily among my new favorite sex tech. The only flaw I found is that it’s not easy to use as a lay-on vibrator without a remote control or app to alter the settings without changing your position.

Review Summary

What can I say? This is hands down (and pants down) my new favorite vibrator.

Pros

  • UltraWave technology means elegant, refined stimulations
  • Extremely quiet
  • Versatile, durable, and giftable
  • Incredible battery life

Cons

  • No remote control or app, making it hard to use as a lay-on vibrator

Alternatives to the Womanizer Vibe

We-Vibe Touch X

The We-Vibe Touch X is a beloved nightstand mainstay for many vibration fans, and for good reason. It’s smaller than the Vibe, making it slightly easier to travel with—plus it has a travel lock, a feature that Womanizer Vibe lacks. The Womanizer Vibe’s more extended handle means less vibration transfer (which can make your hands go numb), but the Touch X is so small that you will feel nearly 100% of the vibration as long as you hold it.

The top of We-Vibe Touch X with the control buttons and magnetic charger

Touch X boasts a shape great for pinpoint sensations but not amazing for broad stimulation as the toy is too small. The Touch X costs $100 and is the best choice for anyone who needs a reliable travel vibrator.

You can read my review of We-Vibe Touch X here.

Dame Pom

The Womanizer Vibe reminds me the most of Dame Pom, one of my favorite vibrators that I have treasured for years. The shape is similar, with one broad backside and a small point on the front. The Pom is smaller and louder, and the vibrations are slightly more mechanical. However, the Pom is made of a softer, squishier silicone which feels great in your hand and against your clit, while the firmer build of the Vibe is better for lying on.

The Dame vibe laying on pebbles

The Vibe has a larger spectrum of intensities, starting lower and ending higher than the Pom. The Dame Pom costs just $100, so it’s slightly less expensive, and it’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants a soft, pinpoint experience.

You can read my review of Dame Pom in this article.

Je Joue Mimi Soft

The Je Joue Mimi Soft is a pebble vibrator similar in size and function to the Womanizer Vibe but without the futuristic technology of UltraWave. The design is rounded, so it won’t work as well for those who like pinpoint stimulation. The buttons aren’t very easy to manipulate, but it has an extra-squishy tip for extra comfortable playtime.

Je Joue Mimi Soft

It’s the best choice for someone who doesn’t like a firm silicone feel. You can grab a Je Joue Mimi Soft for $110.
