How We Picked the Products

I distributed a questionnaire around the office with questions to learn more about my colleagues’ sex toy journey. Specifically, I asked about their top three product recommendations. I followed with an open-ended question on the motivation behind their choice.

After reviewing the responses, I picked the most recommended dildo mounts and distributed them among the testers for a thorough in-person review. I also defined several test criteria that we could measure on a scale from 0 to 100:

• The build quality was the first factor I considered when selecting the review samples. I prioritized models that showcased outstanding attention to detail. Why we love Liberator BonBon:

The Liberator BonBon had the highest average score, thus becoming our pick as the best dildo mount overall. We especially loved its versatility. Besides holding your favorite vibrator or dildo in place, it doubles as a sex position enhancer. While it’s too big to use as a neck or head pillow, it comes in handy during many sex positions, adding more spice to your sex life.

Let’s start talking about the design, with the pouch centrally located in an ideal position, allowing you to ride from any direction. As with all Liberator products, the build quality is nothing short of high quality. “The core is dense foam (seen in the image above) with a velvety soft cover that feels great on the skin while straddling,” our tester Rachel Sommer wrote in the test report.” I also appreciated the moisture-resistant protective liner beneath the cover to protect the core from undesirables. The slot is about 5″ deep but sufficiently tight for a close-fitting grip on your dildo or vibrator. If you want depth play, consider getting extra tall sex toys that still achieve the feat without the 5″ deficit. Pro Tip: I sometimes stuff the bottom of the hole with a sock to bring back an inch or two without messing with the stability.

Let’s talk about the comfort next. The foam felt great on my thighs, and even when my co-tester, Tim Larson, and I used it, I didn’t feel uncomfortable when I used it to prop my lower body in a doggy-style sex position. With a silky-soft cover, it was just by far the most comfortable product in this test. (You can see the product without the cover in the above image to get a better idea of the comfort.)

I also appreciated that the Liberator BonBon’s two covers helped keep stains and bacteria from attaching to the foam core. The best part? The covers are also machine washable! Yay! You can throw it in the washer, tumble dry it on the low setting, and have it ready for your next session in no time. Love it!

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately,  BonBon is incompatible with dildos with large flared bases, suction cups, and realistic balls. They are hard to insert and may break down the foam with forceful entry. Corded wand-style vibrators are also no bueno because BonBon has no hole for the cords to come out.

Also, BonBon is only available in one size and has only been tested with people under 300 lbs. So the plus-size crowd has to look elsewhere.

Pro Tip: Use a toy you can control remotely with a wireless remote or a dedicated smartphone app. The 5″ pouch will probably cover most vibrator control interfaces, and you’ll have to remove it and slide it back whenever you want to regulate the settings, which can be distracting.

2. Lovense Sex Machine: Best App-Controlled!

Why we love Lovense Sex Machine:

This sturdy fuck machine is compatible with the Lovense Remote application, allowing long-distance partners to regulate each other’s pleasure from miles away. Unlike the included dial control, the mobile app offers extra bells and whistles, including music sync, multi-toy compatibility, and unlimited customization options. Overall, we felt the Lovense smartphone app performed better than the other app-controlled models during our testing.

Another feature that made the Lovense sex machine stand out was its double-thrusting mechanism. “The system lets you and your partner enjoy synchronized self-thrusting from either end. Wow!” our tester Tim Larson reported. “While the amusing automated thrusting might not be an everyday thing, it’s a great ‘trick’ to have on your sleeve for those extra kinky sessions,” Tim noted.

The Lovense machine’s powerful turbo gear motor was also highlighted in the test reports. The team found it more trembly than the Hismith’s motor. But even with what most reviewers call a dull, industrial look, the sex machine is a force to reckon with. Lastly, regulating the strokes was comparatively easy with the classic dial control or the mobile app. While you’ll need to adjust the dildo rods with an Allen key to control the thrusting length, it doesn’t take that much time.

Minor issues we found during testing:

The main problem with the Lovense sex machine was the somewhat unstable operation, especially in high settings. The fuck machine gets slightly “jumpy”, and we recommend putting it on a mat to silence the thuds on the floor.

Further, the assembly can cause a bit of a headache for people not used to putting together IKEA furniture. You’ll need two Allen keys to connect the rods with the machine’s inside hub, a time-consuming and tiresome undertaking. Consider having it assembled in the room and not going through the tedious process whenever you want to use the machine.

3. Fleshlight Shower Mount: Best For Men!

Why we love Fleshlight Shower Mount:

The Fleshlight mount is an excellent addition to your sex toy collection if you have multiple Fleshlights. Even if you only have one, the little gadget lets you explore thrilling self-pleasuring in the shower hands-free.

We especially liked the simple design with a suction cup at the end (circled red) and a hinge in the middle (circled blue) so you can adjust the Fleshlight’s penetration angle. I’d imagine small tiles with grout between them would be problematic because of the suction inconsistency. So please inspect your planned surface areas before ordering this one.

Something that stood out with the shower mount was its compatibility with most Fleshlights, especially standard-sized masturbators. I tried it with my Stoya Destroya and Riley Reid Fleshlight Girls, and they screwed in effortlessly.

Minor issues we found during testing:

You must clean and dry your shower walls and floors before applying the shower mount, as soap residue negatively affects the vacuum suction.

The Fleshlight Shower Mount might not be ideal for people with small tiles with grout between them – the suction inconsistency affects the suction power.

We especially loved the Buzz and Buck settings that let you control the internal and external vibrations independently. Another benefit of having the mobile app is cam integration. While I didn’t need the feature, I’d imagine sex workers will love it because it keeps the audience involved by incentivizing tipping. Lastly, I loved the right-angle wedge that came with the package. I used it to switch positions during play, and it was an excellent addition to an already amazing setup. Minor issues we found during testing:

The rattling noise from the Buck is a bit concerning, but not a showstopper. Even on the lowest settings, the saddle machine was loud. Not only will it rattle your roommate, but your neighbors as well.

Assembly can also be annoying, but at least the package included an instruction manual that made the process less complicated.

Unfortunately, the Vac-U-Lock bundle’s dildos are made from TPE, a porous material that makes cleaning more tedious and time-consuming. Store them separately from the standard kit attachments to avoid the TPE material leaching onto other materials.
