Let’s answer the question here for those who don’t have time to read the complete article: No, we still think that Hismith is a slightly better product. While we loved the smartphone app (better than Hismith), Hismith has better stability at higher speeds. The Lovense machine even started jumping around at the highest setting (more on that below). In addition, the quality of the dildos was also a concern as they felt a bit cheap. But we loved its versatility and the application, so if the company can improve the stability in an upgrade, they may have a winner!
Who Should Try It? Long-distance couples who want something powerful for remote play will thoroughly enjoy this device, as the Lovense remote app is the best on the market. It’s also excellent for couples who want a fucking machine to enjoy at the same time, as you can use two dildos simultaneously.
Who Can Skip It? First-timers who are unsure if they enjoy a sex machine should probably buy something less expensive first, for example, a Velvet Thruster. It’s also not a good fit for those who live in apartment complexes with thin walls, as the device is quite noisy,

What is the Lovense Sex Machine?
The Lovense Sex Machine is a mechanical device that simulates the thrusting of a penis. It features two arms with dildos that work simultaneously (image below), allowing for two-person uses. You can adjust it for multiple angles, stroke speed, and stroke length, and you can also control it through the Lovense remote app, in close range, or at long distances. In addition, you can control it through the attached remote control.

Packaging
The Lovense sex machine came in a massive but discreet cardboard box. The postal service left it by the front door of the basement below me, and I had to carry it two short flights of stairs to get it inside. I thought I wasn’t going to be able to make it as it was pretty heavy (27.55 lbs).
Luckily I made it, and when inside, I opened it to reveal another cardboard box. Once I opened this one up, the construction manual appeared, all crinkled and a little torn. After lifting it, the machine mechanism of the device appeared through the shipping foam (image above).
After pulling everything out, the package contained two different-sized silicone dildos, the machine mechanism, power supply, power cable, control box, user manual, metal support legs, two rods attached to the dildos, and a 6mm and 8mm Allen wrench.
Material
The two dildos are made from silicone (circled below), and the rest of the machine is made from some type of metal not specified in the user manual or on the Lovense website. The metal legs and supports are heavy and feel sturdy enough to hold up the machine.
The dildos are very flexible and have a jelly-like feel, which made me question Lovense’s claim that they were silicone. The dildos are attached to the machine via the Vac U Lock system, meaning you can use many other sex toys with the device.
Dimensions
The Lovense Sex Machine is 17.79 inches long x 17.72 inches tall x 10 inches wide when set up parallel to the ground, without the dildo arms attached. As you can set up the machine at multiple angles, with one or two arms, and at different stroking lengths, many different dimensions are possible. The smaller of the two dildos is 5.43 inches long, and the larger is 6.3 inches.
Body
The body is versatile and you can adjust it to many angles. It comprises a mechanical center, which can attach to arms that hold the supplied dildos or any other Vac U Lock sex toys (image above). The legs of the machine are made from metal and have plastic covers on the end to protect from injury.
Power Source
The Lovense Sex Machine is powered by electricity, and the power plug cord is supplied, which measures around 8’9″. The machine requires an electrical output of 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz.
Warranty and Support
A one-year warranty covers the Lovense Sex Machine. The warranty covers everything inside the package except the Allen Wrench. If your machine becomes faulty during this time, Lovense will replace it free of charge and cover the shipping cost.

How to use the Lovense Sex Machine?
To use the Lovense Sex Machine, first assemble the machine following the assembly instructions, which you can find here. You can also see the instructions that came with the machine in the photo below.
- Before turning the machine on, please ensure the dildos are locked securely so they don’t fly unexpectedly through the room.
- Next, plug the machine into the outlet and test that everything works fine.
- Once this is done, lube up the dildo (water-based lube only) on the device and yourself, and then insert the dildo.
- You can then control the app through the machine’s control or the Lovense remote app.
- Find some settings that work for you, or get a partner to surprise you with maximum pleasure!
How to clean the Lovense Sex Machine?
To clean the dildos, remove them from the machine and wash them in warm water with fragrance-free antibacterial soap or with a specialized sex toy cleaner. Leave to dry before using or storing it away. Be careful not to get water inside the Vac U Lock system.
To wash the rest of the machine, ensure it is unplugged, and then use a damp, lint-free cloth to clean it. Never submerge the machine in the water, and make sure it is fully dry before using.
Additionally, the sliding rails and rod insertion holes need to be greased with machine oil every two to three months or if the sex machine begins to have some resistance when thrusting. To do this, Lovense states:
- You should use a screwdriver (not included) and remove the 4 screws.
- Then remove the machine cover. It should look like the image above.
- Apply some oil to the six marked areas.
How to Assemble the Lovense Sex Machine?
To assemble the Lovense Sex Machine, follow the instructions provided on the assembly and set up manual, which is provided in the box or can be found here. Additionally, there is an instructional video detailing the assembly process, which I found very helpful.

How to connect Lovense Sex Machine with the app?
- To connect the Lovense Sex Machine with the app, first, fully assemble the machine, and download the app.
- Once this is done, turn on the device by pressing the red button on the control, and make sure that the dial on the control on the device is set to ‘off .’
- On the app’s home page, click on the icon that looks like two chain links in the top right-hand corner.
- Then click the ‘+’ to search for and connect your sex toy.
How to control Lovense Sex Machine using the app?
To control the Lovense machine using the app, download it and pair it with the machine, as stated above. Once this is done, there are several ways to control the device.
The first is by the remote, allowing you to create your own stroke patterns by drawing them on the app or controlling the speed of a standard stroke (much like you could on the machine control).
You can also use the discover page to access patterns that other people have made and even view which patterns are most popular.
If music is your thing, you can sync the machine to thrust to your favorite song, which was kinda weird to me, but maybe not to you.
One great feature of the app is you can pair the machine to increase with the sounds around you (as heard by the microphone on your phone). This means the louder you moan, the more intense the machine will get.
You can also use the app to control the machine from the other side of the world if you’re away from your partner. Additionally, you can use the alarm function to create a time when the machine goes off, much like the alarm you use to wake yourself up. While I’m not sure I’d want to use this sex toy to wake me up, there could be a lot of creative uses for this function.
A word of caution. You should read the app’s terms and conditions regarding privacy if you’re worried about where the data from the app is going, as each company has different privacy terms, which may or may not affect you.
What Positions Are Possible?
As the Lovense toy can adjust to different angles, strokes, and several dildos, there are many positions possible.
The most common position with the Lovense Sex Machine is on all fours, with the dildo coming at you from behind. But there are many possible positions, depending on your body and imagination.

What Attachments Are Available/Compatible?
You can use any Vac-U-Lock compatible toy. These toys are commonly used with strap-on harnesses and other machines, meaning many attachments can be used. The Lovense sex machine attachments are mostly dildos or anal plugs, but these come in many different shapes, sizes, and designs and are available to purchase through many retailers.
How Can Camgirls Use the Machine?
Cam girls can use the machine in whichever way they like. The Lovense fuck machine is very versatile and can be used vaginally, anally, and at multiple angles. My Personal Experience
Design
To me, the design felt slightly tacky. It was delivered in a plain cardboard box, and the instruction manual and other inclusions didn’t match the price paid for this machine. While many people may like the industrial look of the machine, to me, it felt slightly cheap, reminiscent of the sex stores of the late 90s. But, functionally, the machine is designed well and does everything it claims to do.
Settings
Outside of the app setting, the settings are reasonably straightforward. The machine attaches to a dial control that controls the speed of the strokes. In the image below, you can see the dial control with the wiring.
The length of the strokes can be adjusted, changing from short to long strokes. However, this required you to unscrew the machine’s base plate and loosen the screws that attach the dildo rods to the machine to move them. These steps are a little tedious as you need to use the Allen key that came with the machine to adjust the rods.
App Features
I really enjoyed the multiple settings that the app offered. You can sync the machine to increase as the volume around you increases, sync to music (which was an odd experience), create your own patterns, and use it for long distances. The same app connects to other Lovense toys, so you can control them all from the same place. You could tell that much thought and effort went into developing the app, and I thoroughly enjoyed using it.
Stimulations
To me, the stimulations felt adequate, not too dissimilar from having a partner use a dildo on me. While it was good to have the automation and the power of the turbo gear motor, it wasn’t mind-blowing awesome for me. I read many reviews online while researching this article, and many people were pleasantly surprised by the machine. So I think it’s just a case of different strokes for different folks.
Build Quality
The quality of the machine itself felt sturdy, with the legs being extremely heavy. However, the dildos felt quite cheap and smelt of plastic (image below). Therefore, I highly suggest purchasing some additional Vac U Lock toys to use with the machine to replace the dildos.
Safety
When I initially tested this out on the highest setting (without using it for penetration), the machine started jumping all over the floor. The dildo eventually made it to the wall. The machine probably made it about half an inch off the floor with every jump. While this may be mitigated if it were inside a person, this is not something I want to test out. However, the lower speeds felt perfectly safe.
Assembly
Assembling the machine was a bit of an annoyance for me, as the leg bases and leg rods were presented differently out of the box than they were in the instruction manual and instruction video. I fiddled around with them for 15 minutes, trying to get them to look like they did in the guides. Once I had this figured out, the rest of the assembly was pretty straightforward, but it did take me a little while to get the rods attached to the inside of the machine.
This made me not too keen to have to partially disassemble it to be able to store it in its bag. So if you have the room for it, I would leave it completely assembled and pop it away in a closet or something, just not to have to deal with the fuss of putting it back together.
I liked that everything you needed to assemble the machine was included, as you only needed two different-sized Allen keys to connect all the parts.
Sound Level
When used at lower speeds, the machine was fairly quiet. However, when used on the highest settings, the machine started jumping around, thudding on the floor like an old washing machine. It was so loud I had to immediately shut it off because I feared my downstairs neighbors might think something was about to fall through their ceiling.
After this, I played around with the machine and tightened the leg rods to the main body of the machine, as I thought it may have been a user error, but it continued to jump around like crazy, albeit slightly less.
Versatility
The machine is highly versatile. The combination of the stroke speeds, stroke lengths, multiple control options on the high-tech Lovense app, long-distance control, numerous angles you can adjust the machine to, and the ability to use it for one or two people make the options endless. If you’re looking for a device that can do a lot, I recommend checking this toy out.
Heat
After using it for a while, the machine does start to run hot. There is a warning sticker on the part of the machine that heats up, and the area is relatively small, but definitely, something to be mindful of.

First-time users who aren’t sure if they will like them. If you want to try a sex machine but are not sure it’s your thing, I’d suggest another model first, as this machine is quite pricey. There are many other machines with a lower price better suited for beginners.

Lovense Sex Machine vs. Hismith 4.0 Sex Machine
The Hismith Sex Machine is very similar in design and size to the Lovense Sex Machine, with the main difference being that it only allows one person to use it at a time. You can alter it to create different angles, in the same way that the new Lovense machine can, and you can also control it via an app and at long distances; however, the Hismith machine also comes with a wireless remote.
The Hismith machine dildos only connect through the KlicLok system, which isn’t that common, but you can buy adaptors online that connect it to other sex toys. If you’re looking for a color outside of black, then the Hismith machine might be for you, as it comes in four additional colors and costs $499.99.

Lovense Sex Machine vs. Shockspot
The Shockspot machine is much sleeker in design compared to the Lovense Sex Machine. But the biggest drawback is there isn’t an app to control it. You can, however, use a computer to control the machine, but this may be a bit cumbersome for some folks.
In addition, the Shockspot doesn’t feature a Vac U Lock technology, and you can only attach Shockspot toys, but adaptors are available. The machine has several different iterations ranging from $1999 to $4400.

Fort Troff Fuck Machine 3.0
The Fort Troff Fuck Machine 3.0 is similar to the Lovense device. However, you can use this machine handheld and hands-free. It works with all vac u lock toys (which aren’t included in the price) and only has 90 degrees of motion. Unfortunately, this machine can only be controlled by the machine itself, but it is a cheaper option at $399.

Storing the Lovense Sex Machine is a bit of an inconvenience, as you have to take out the dildos, disassemble the legs, and remove the rods attached to the machine via screws. This requires you to have the Allen wrench handy to take the machine apart and fit it inside the storage bag. While this isn’t too much of an issue if you only want to use the machine, now and then, it is a little annoying to disassemble and reassemble if you’re going to be using it every weekend. Alternatively, you could remove the dildos, clean them, and store them somewhere free of dust, and put the remainder of the machine in storage if you have the room and the privacy.
