12 Cam Sites Like Chaturbate, Ranked by a Sex Educator

Chaturbate is one of the original sites where you could meet amateur and semi-pro cam models. It’s still around, of course, and it is such a success that there are now many, many cam model sites with live sex shows and models of all genders, shapes, ages, and proclivities all waiting for you!

What Is Chaturbate?

Chaturbate has been around since February 2011 (do we feel old yet?). The first part of the name is because it’s a site where you can chat with cam models, and the second part is because of what a lot of folks like to do when they are chatting with cam models.

And the models! Whatever you fancy, you’ll find it here. Because the primary users are men who have sex with women, there are women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and shades of skin. But there are also plenty of male, MtF, and FtM models, as well as couples (and more) of all genders. If you own a Lovense sex toy, you can connect it to Chaturbate and even connect to models who use Lovense toys in their shows.

Access to Chaturbate is free, and there are some shows and chat rooms that you can visit without paying. But a lot of the good things in life cost money, and private chats with cam models largely fall into that category. If you want to interact with the models or even direct the action, you’ll need to buy tokens and/or tip the performers. The votes are in: we think that CamSoda is the best alternative to Chaturbate out there. CamSoda’s “house girls” are available 24/7 and free to watch (although you may have to pay for premium features, like being able to direct the action).

You can use multiple filters to find your new favorite model; filters include ethnicity, body type, age, hair color, languages, and special tags such as squirting or interactive toys. CamSoda also offers a cam2cam feature, which means that your model is watching you while you are watching them. There are also free and paid sex games on the site, and streams that are compatible with virtual reality.

Pricing

It’s free to sign up to CamSoda, and they sometimes even offer free tokens as a welcome gift. A premium membership is $19.95 per month and you get an ad-free experience, the ability to send private messages, and more. Token packages start as low as $6.99, and of course, the more you buy, the less you pay per token. What you get for those tokens also varies because models set their own prices.

2. JerkMate: Our Runner-up!

JerkMate has a lot going for it (more later), but what earned it second place is the random chat feature. You can hit the “next” button as many times as you want and scroll through dozens of chat rooms, each with its own amazing cam model, until you find the one that you want to spend time with. Random chat is a free feature, but you may have to pay to engage with the model.

If you know exactly what you want, JerkMate can make that happen for you as well. They have female, male, trans, and coupled models to choose from. Filters include ethnicity, body type, hair color, language, age, and attributes such as big butt, big clitoris, hairy/shaved vagina, and tattoos. Pricing

JerkMate is both more and less transparent than its competitors. It is free to join, and there are some free chats and free shows available every day. Their Gold is a flat $1 for one Gold. Performers set their own prices, but you should expect to spend between one and ten Gold to engage with the models. Models also run their own fan clubs, and they set the prices for those.

JerkMate Premium does come with some bonuses, like private cam sessions and exclusive shows. It operates much like hotel loyalty programs: it is free to sign up (there will be a small verification charge to your credit card, but that will be reversed). 3. Stripchat: Best User Interface!

Stripchat has everything that you could want; plus, the interface is streamlined and intuitive. This has earned it a place on our list! You can choose from female, male, trans, or coupled (all genders) models for chats or cam shows. Models are sorted by age, ethnicity, body type, and hair color.  Additional filters include group sex, outdoor, and foot fetish. If that isn’t enough, you can use their “magic search” that finds you exactly what you are craving.

Tokens are purchased in packages and the bigger the package, the bigger the discount. Testers and users report that you should expect to spend somewhere between $13 and $27 for a private show.

4. LiveJasmin

LiveJasmin is a sophisticated, premium experience. The cam models represent many different nationalities and you can also filter by age, appearance/features, breast and butt size, height, and hair color. We said above that LiveJasmin is a premium site, and their prices reflect that. There is a generous amount of free content, which we always appreciate, but you will almost certainly need to buy credits if you want to get up close and personal with the models.

Credits are purchased in packages, with discounts for buying in advance. A mid-level package ends up being about $1.44 per credit. Models set their own prices, but you can expect to spend between one and four credits per minute for private shows.

LiveJasmin is free to join, but you can purchase a Pro Membership for $21.99 per month, which lets you send “free” messages to models (and other perks). You can also join your favorite models’ fan clubs, where you will also be able to send “free” messages and access exclusive content.

5. MyFreeCams: The Classic

Chaturbate, which many folks consider the OG, was founded in 2011. MyFreeCams is seven years older than that, which means that it is now more than old enough to watch its own shows!

Honestly, MyFreeCams looks its age. The interface is clunky and outdated, but some of us might appreciate a blast from the past. However, as the elder statesman of this group, MyFreeCams has a very wide selection of models to choose from — there are often 1000 or more models online at any given time. Tags that you can use to select your model or room include #Asian, #bigboobs, #schoolgirl, #natural, and #mommy.

You become a permanent Premium Member as soon as you buy your first set of tokens. Additional paid features include the ability to watch models in shows with other members, or conversely, the ability to block other members from watching your private show. Pricing

While there is plenty of free content available, many features require tokens to activate. Tokens are purchased in packages, and are usually around $0.10 per token. You might think that this is a bargain, but unlike other sites that charge by the minute, MyFreeCams charges one token per second of connectivity, so about $6 per minute.

ImLive is another cam site with plenty of history; in fact, industry lore is that it was the inspiration for Chaturbate. It’s been recognized by groups such as XBIZ and AVN. Candy shows are a budget-friendly option where you (and others) tip your model for a “seat” at the show, and when the model has reached their tip goal, they will start the show for all tippers. For those who can’t always find what they want on cam sites, the Fulfill Your Fantasy feature lets you specify exactly what they want, and interested models will let you know what it will cost.

The customer loyalty program is one of the better ones, in our opinion. As you advance through the tiers (by spending on the site), you earn privileges like getting the first 20 seconds of every private chat for free or free access to past celebrity shows.

Pricing

As with most cam sites, you will need to purchase tokens to access private chats and premium features. Tokens start around $1 each, although purchasing larger quantities earns you a discount (be aware that tokens expire after 30 days). This is an estimate and you don’t see the actual price until you are in the checkout process.

Models set their own prices. Some models will also offer prepaid shows at a considerable discount.

7. Cam4

Cam4 is definitely the most amateur-oriented site on this list. Many of the models look like “the girl next door” (if you got very lucky in the neighbor lottery), as opposed to professional adult actors. While many of us find this refreshing, we also have to acknowledge that the site interface itself also has a rather amateurish quality.

There is plenty of variety, though. You can choose female, male, transgender, or coupled models. Niches include public streaming, goth, uniforms, and gamers, among many others. Show types include private, spy, and even virtual reality. All shows offer cam-to-cam and two-way audio capability, which costs extra (sometimes a lot extra) on other sites.

Pricing

Models set their own prices and there is a very wide range of prices on this site, which is not entirely surprising considering the emphasis on amateur models. Tokens are the currency of choice, and as expected, they are sold in packages. The entry-level package is 50 tokens for $9.95. Larger packages cost less per token and often include bonuses.

Cam4 also offers a Gold membership for $19.99 per month or $119.99 for a full year, which is a significant discount. Gold members get an ad-free experience and access to additional features, such as being able to watch multiple cams at the same time.

8. Flirt4Free

It is probably no surprise that this site’s name is slightly misleading: yes, you can flirt for free in an open (group) chat and there is free recorded content available, but you will need to buy and spend tokens to engage with the models on Flirt4Free.

There are plenty of models of all types to choose from, though, including male, female, transgender, and couples and groups. There are also different kinds of chat rooms, such as private, group, voyeur, and multi-user. You can also negotiate directly with your chosen performer for a block of time.

Pricing

Like most of the sites in this list, models set their prices (paid in tokens) and the site sets the token prices, which are often sold in packages and are not completely transparent. The entry-level token package is $10 for 90 credits, and there is often a credit bonus when you sign up for an account.

A standard private show can be 30 to 60 credits per minute, while a Premiere show with a top-rated model can be much higher than that with a top end of 500 credits per minute.

Flirt4Free’s VIP membership is perhaps the highest that we’ve seen at $39.95 per month, but it comes with 150 recurring credits plus 100 credits towards DMs every month. Other perks include free feature shows, 200 free videos every day, access to recorded shows, and exclusive content.

This is one of the smaller cam sites on our list; between that and its international focus, it may be a new discovery even for folks who have played in this area before. We like it because it’s pretty straightforward and there is quite a bit of free content available. The downsides are the less-than-appealing interface and a lack of premium features.

There are fewer cam models on this site than there are on many others, but you should still be able to find what you’re looking for. You can watch female models or couples (both male/female and female/female). Tags include mature, huge breasts, shaved, and Ukrainian.

Royal Cams offers a reward program based on your spending on the site. Perks include better chat controls and an ad-free experience.

Pricing

Tokens are purchased in packages for between $0.05 and $0.07 per token, with larger packages enjoying steeper discounts. Private chats typically cost about one token per second, so depending on the token package you chose, you can expect to start at $3 per minute. Performers will expect additional tips for special requests.

10. BongaCams

BongaCams has a very European feel and quite a few European (especially Eastern European) models on the site. There are male, female, trans, and coupled models to choose from, in addition to tags such as Couple Sex, Lovense, and Stripping. You can also choose group chats, spy mode (watching other members’ chats), private chats, or full-private chats where no one can spy on you. Sapphire members get token gift cards every 20 days, and Diamond members can headline their favorite models every day.

Pricing

We appreciate that BongaCams is transparent with their token pricing. Tokens are sold in packages with prices ranging from $0.06 to $0.09 per token, and there are often bonuses available.

Models set their own prices, but for context, the default for a private chat is 60 tokens per minute and the default for a spy chat is $15 per minute. Of course, you are expected to tip models for any special requests.

11. Cams.com

Cams.com is an upscale, curated site. The interface is clean, inviting, and relatively intuitive. Female, male, and trans models are available, and you can also filter by ethnicity, body type, hair color, and age. This is the site to go to if you are interested in chatting with models age 50 and over (or if you are age 50 or over and want to be a cam model).

The preview window shows if the model is already in a show, and if they are, you can “take a peek” (no audio or text) at the show in progress. Add-ons to private shows include Cam2Cam availability and the ability to remotely control the model’s sex toy. You can also join fan clubs for your favorite model.

Some free videos are available, and they are nicely integrated into the main site instead of being segregated in a bargain basement.

Pricing

Models set their own pricing, which is not surprising, but the variance in pricing on this site is somewhat surprising. There is a fairly wide range of prices here, but overall, you can expect to pay 30 to 50 tokens per minute for a private show and slightly less for a party show. Be aware that while having all features (like Cam2Cam and Buzz/Superbuzz) integrated is very clean and easy, you should be aware that this also makes it easy to spend more than you had planned.

Tokens are sold in packages, with the entry bundle giving you 250 tokens for $27 all the way up to 3000 tokens for $312. Cams.com also offers a Premiere membership at $19.99 per month with five free videos, access to nude photos, and email contact with models. There is also a VIP membership that requires financial verification and comes with commensurate big-spender privileges.

12. StreaMate

StreaMate is another site that is geared towards the amateur/semi-pro performer market, which feels more “real” to a lot of viewers. But although the models may be indie, the site itself is fairly well-designed and easy to use. There is less free content on this site than on others, but you do usually get to see enough of the models to decide if they should get your gold (the StreaMate token system). You can send messages to models for free.

Paid features include Cam2Cam capability and a fun little wheel that you can spin (for five Gold) and the model will do what the wheel dictates. You can also select private or group chats with your model of choice.

Pricing

Pricing is also very straightforward. One Gold costs $1. You won’t have to do complicated math while you’re in a chat room with your model, which makes it easy to keep your spending under control. Many models will also offer an option for a discounted block session where you get a 5%-20% discount for paying up front for a block of time.
