Blush Vibe’s Avant D16 Purple Haze is so pretty that you just want to put it on your desk and look at it all day (but we really don’t recommend this unless you work remotely). It’s made of hand-poured silicone in complementary shades of purple and blue, and the sculpted head and crafted curve add to the aesthetic.

We were first attracted to the Avant Purple Haze D16 because of the swoopy lines and soothing color scheme. But it just gets better and better. We especially liked that the curve is engineered to hit just the right spots, and the carved corona provides just the right amount of friction. We also found that the base was wide enough to facilitate safe solo play: we could attach it to any smooth surface using the built-in suction cup, and it fit securely into most of our O-ring harnesses. The size is slender enough for beginners but substantial enough to satisfy even when it’s not your first rodeo. Whether this is your first dildo or, well, not your first (we’ll just leave it at that), it’s worth a look.
Who Should Try It? The Avant D16 Purple Haze is a solid choice for pegging as well as vaginal and anal play (solo or partnered). This dildo is made with platinum-cured Puria silicone with the brand’s Ultrasilk finish. The proprietary SENSA FEEL dual-density technology features a firm inner core with a cushiony outer layer, and this contributes to the realistic feel of the toy.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The packaging is premium-quality, and the aesthetic here is much closer to high-end skincare than a dildo. The box is crisp, creamy white cardboard with metallic lettering and a large display window that shows off the toy beautifully. Product information is printed directly on the outer sleeve, so you can get to know your new dildo before you open the box (which is great if you’re browsing in a brick-and-mortar store).
The inner sleeve is molded plastic that hugs every curve so the dildo feels very secure in the box. Because the product information is already on the box, there’s no need for a separate printed user guide to clutter up the box. There is also no lube sample or storage bag like a lot of manufacturers include. This isn’t a problem (we have a lot of bags from sex toys that we have honorably retired) but considering the design skill that went into this toy, we would have loved to see what they came up with as a cloak.

How Do I Use the Blush Avant D16?
One of the best things about the Avant D16 Purple Haze is that you can use it any way that you want to! This is truly a very versatile dildo. It is well-sized for either vaginal or anal play — not too big, not too small, but just right. The Avant Purple Haze D16 is an extremely accessible dildo. It is so straightforward that it doesn’t even need an instruction manual. All it needs is a good wash and it’s ready to go out of the box. The size, shape, silkiness, and softness make it suitable for most beginners, but don’t write this off as a junior version.
Versatility
This toy can do it all! It’s got something to offer for bodies of all genders, in any combination. You can enjoy it in solo or partnered play, including slipping it into a compatible O-ring harness for pegging. The flared base is wide enough that you can safely indulge in solo anal play, and it also makes a good grip for partnered vaginal or anal play. Warranty and Support
Blush Vibe does not provide a warranty or after-sale support for this toy. This would normally send up a caution flag, but we’re actually okay with this. The Avant Purple Haze D16 does not have any motorized or moving parts, and it appears to be extremely well constructed in one solid piece. We are not concerned about this toy breaking on us, and we also note that the replacement cost would not be insurmountable if it did. However, we do recommend purchasing your toy from a reputable retailer that does offer warranty support so you will have some recourse in the rare event that the dildo develops a problem.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
The Avant Purple Haze D16 is a thoughtfully designed, high-quality dildo. We can honestly say that we did not discover any issues related to safety or quality. What’s left is pretty much a matter of personal preferences; still, it’s disappointing when a new toy isn’t what you’d hoped that it would be. The Ultrasilk finish and SENSA FEEL dual-density construction mean that this dildo is soft to the touch and somewhat flexible. Honestly, we think that it feels like a penis that is just shy of a solid erection. It’s also just a hair under 4” in girth. If you want to be filled up with something that’s really big and really hard, this might not be for you.
