How To Use Lelo LOKI Wave?

My Personal Experience
When I discovered that my partner was going to try the LOKI Wave prostate massager, I was so excited for him. A while back, I got to try the Lelo Soraya Wave, now one of my favorite internal toys, so I knew what a treat he was in for. Lelo has nailed its wave motion technology, which mimics fingering. It does feel a bit like the come-hither motion used during fingering. I thought it was mind-blowing, and I was excited to see if he felt the same way.
My partner has tried his fair share of sex toys, yet he’s not a prolific anal orgasm-haver. He’s also not a size queen and prefers toys on the small-to-medium side of the spectrum. Lots of lube was necessary, as was setting aside enough time so he didn’t have to rush. After he got it inserted, he thought it was the perfect size.
The LOKI Wave was one of the few toys that hit his prostate in precisely the right spot. Everybody has different anatomy, so this toy may not work for you, but since the prostate is roughly two inches inside the rectum, the inner arm should hit the target for most people.
Further, LOKI Wave’s vibrations were powerful. When my partner described it, he said it felt slightly like pegging and that the tapered tip of the prostate arm is the perfect size for eliciting intense orgasms without other stimulation necessary.
The different patterns are a selling point, too. Though there aren’t separate buttons or a control panel that operates the two motors independently, the large variety of settings gives you just about every option you can think of. This is crucial because you can start relatively slow and work up to an overwhelming sensory explosion if you want. However, the speed of the come-hither motion is constant, and you cannot adjust it.
The LOKI Wave is a clever little device, too, and it saves your last-used setting and will automatically begin with that setting the next time you turn on the prostate massager. This feature is perfect for people who like to use one setting throughout, but it might be annoying if you prefer to start small and work up to something.
The come-hither motion (where the inner arm moves back and forth) offers the wonderful sensation of fingering, and it stayed in place for the most part. However, it didn’t stay perfectly in place when we tried it during penetrative sex. If you want to use this during partnered sex, have the person using the toy lie on their back so that it has the best chance of staying in. It’s not exactly hands-free, but all things considered, I think we’ll get the most use out of this awesome toy during tandem masturbation since it does tend to slip out in different sex positions.

The lube is a thoughtful touch because Lelo’s personal moisturizer is water-based, so it will work perfectly with this prostate massager.

Design
The design is pretty—but you won’t find any ugly toys from Lelo. However, the combination of half-black silicone (or blue, if that’s what you’ve chosen) and half-white plastic isn’t the most luxurious toy I’ve seen from them. It’s attractive but not over the top.
Material
The silicone on this toy is lavish and soft, and the ABS plastic is blended in as well as possible. This toy would be more luxurious if it were all-silicone, but that would also likely make the price tick up. So, the materials used offer an ideal combination of high-end, satiny softness and not unbelievably expensive (for a deluxe sex toy).
Ease Of Use
Ease of use is one of the only places where the Lelo LOKI Wave loses points. Anal toys with numerous settings can be tricky to use without a remote control unless you’re a contortionist. This toy has a handle, which helps operate the buttons once you’ve inserted the toy.
But for a toy this luxurious, using an app would have completed the experience. My partner had no trouble reaching the handle and switching between the settings, but you can’t see the buttons, so you must memorize what they do. The middle button is indented, which can help you feel your way around somewhat, but you’ll have to learn what each button does, or else use a little trial and error to get to your preferred setting. The four buttons around the middle button are also indented, but it’s nearly impossible to tell which is which just by touching them because they are all quite similar.
Using an app on your phone once you have inserted the toy allows you to look at all the settings and effortlessly change between them. My partner thought app control was the only thing this toy was missing.
Stimulations
The main draw of this toy is the come-hither motion, which is the waving gesture performed by the larger arm. My partner described the vibrations as reasonably intense, the proverbial cherry on top of the already overwhelming stimulation provided by the insertable arm. The perineum arm does some heavy lifting with its vibrations, and the spectrum ranges from light to rumbly vibration strength. No matter which type of stimulation you’re looking for, the LOKI Wave can provide it in spades.
Versatility
LOKI Wave gets all the points for versatility. First, this prostate massager has dual motors, meaning you can operate the perineum and prostate stimulation somewhat independently. So if you’re in the mood for prostate but not perineum vibrations one day and perineum but not prostate vibes the next, you can do that.
Next, the internal arm moves in a come-hither motion (which means that it moves back and forth) or a basic vibration setting. You could also insert it and leave that arm off if all you want is the sensation of fullness or something that will apply pressure to the P spot. Not only does this give people with penises all the options they could want, but it also means that this toy could work for people with vulvas! So if you and your partner have different genitals, you could still share this toy (while sanitizing in between).
Anyone with a backside (that means anyone) will find this toy pleasurable, so it gets 10/10 for versatility.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The quality of this toy is tops—the material is luxurious, and all the parts were thoughtfully put together. Toys that use two materials like this one (plastic and body-safe silicone) will have seams between the two, which usually make them tougher to clean. However, this toy was so well-built that the seams were incredibly tight. It’s the first toy I’ve seen with seams that probably won’t gather dirt, at least in the short term!
Further, Lelo put a lot of thought into the control panel. The vibration patterns have two buttons—one for going forward and the other backward—which is a nice touch. If you accidentally skip past your favorite setting, you can go back without cycling through all of the patterns again.
The dimensions were mid-size, which is my partner’s preference. The LOKI Wave was unquestionably girthier than some of the other anal toys he’s tried, but it didn’t take him too long to get it into place. And once it was in place, it was extremely comfortable.

Original Lelo LOKI vs. LOKI Wave
The LOKI Wave wasn’t the first in Lelo’s series of luxury prostate massagers. The Lelo LOKI was the original and differs in some critical ways from the Wave.
While both are waterproof and are nearly the same size, the Wave has ten vibration settings compared to the original Loki’s six, and the original has one less button to use. Further, the regular LOKI has a shortened battery life and only lasts one hour to the Wave’s purported two.
The most significant difference is that the original LOKI doesn’t have wave motion and will not also stimulate the perineum. However, the original cost a bit less. You can pick one up for around $170.
Lelo LOKI Wave vs. Loki Wave 2
LELO Loki Wave 2 features a series of upgrades, including 12 vibration modes (2 more than the original), a faster come-hither function, and a more flexible external arm. The original model’s less flexible joint means it stays in place once adjusted and doesn’t slip out. In the image below, Loki Wave is on the left, and Loki Wave 2 is on the right.
So, if you’re after slightly more power and more vibration settings, you’ll want to upgrade to the new version. However, the original Loki Wave will best suit you if you want hands-free prostate stimulation and more articulate wave motion because the internal prober is better positioned. Lelo LOKI Wave vs. Hugo
Lelo has two prostate massagers that double as perineal massagers: the LOKI Wave and the Hugo. Both are luxurious, giftable, and as soft as can be, so it could be challenging to decide which would make your prostate the happiest.
One of the main differences is that the Lelo Hugo is a bit smaller in diameter and insertable length, making it more attractive to those new to prostate play. More importantly, the Hugo doesn’t offer the wave motion that simulates fingering, but its vibrations tend to be slightly more potent than the LOKI Wave. Plus, the LOKI Wave’s handle makes it easier to insert than the shortened version of the Hugo. However, the Hugo has a remote, making it more accessible for people with mobility issues.

LOKI Wave vs. Lelo Ina Wave
The Lelo Ina Wave is nearly identical to the LOKI Wave, except that it’s made for people with clits. Nexus Revo Stealth vs. Lelo LOKI Wave
