What Is The Womanizer Duo?
Womanizer Duo is a sex toy claiming it can pat its head (provide clitoral suction stimulation) and rub its tummy (provide G spot stimulation with its vibrating arm) at the same time. Even as a human with multiple limbs and a complicated brain, this is a complex undertaking. But backing up its assertions is a massive following of Duo fans.
Having used other Womanizer devices in the past, I already know they are not only the original purveyor of clit-suction toys but also well-made and luxurious. They should be, as it costs $219 and certainly qualifies as a luxury toy.
Their Pleasure Air Technology introduced clitoral sucking to many thankful clitoris-havers across the globe. And if you read my review of the Womanizer Premium 2, you know I think their clitoral suction devices more than deliver on their promises.
But trying something new is always a roll of the dice. Would the Womanizer Duo be like New Coke (widely panned by all who tried it) or more like Wrigley’s Gum, a vast improvement over the first Wrigley business endeavor: Wrigley’s Baking Powder?

Packaging
The packaging looks elegant. It comes in a sturdy box—much like the Womanizer Premium 2 —with a pull tab to help you open it.
Inside the packaging is the #IMasturbate business card, so now I have two. With any luck, someday, I’ll have enough to distribute them the next time I attend a dinner party.
A small box inside the larger box contains the USB charging cable and an additional, larger-sized nozzle or stimulator head, as the instruction manual refers to it. Having two sizes is necessary because it’s nearly impossible to make anything one-size-fits-all.
Acknowledging differently sized bodies is an inclusive thing, and I think Womanizer could stand to be a little bit more inclusive on the whole. So, that was a nice touch.
Inside the packaging was a nice soft storage bag, which was perfectly stretchy and easily fit the Duo. I appreciate storage bags because the alternative is having a mess of vibrators flopping around in your nightstand, and many different adult toy materials don’t play very well together. For instance, you should never store sex toys made from porous and non-porous materials together. But, to be clearer, you should never buy porous sex toys because they are giant harbingers of bacteria that love nothing more than to give you a year-round yeast infection.
Material
This toy is made of body-safe silicone and is waterproof. It’s perfect for bath- and shower-time solo play!
Dimensions
This toy clocks in right around eight inches long. So, it’s more of a checked bag than a carry-on situation if you plan to travel with this not-very-travel-sized toy.
Body
The body is super soft and elegant, typical of the Womanizer brand. And I’m going to be honest: unless you run with many scientists, you could probably play this off as your night-time microscope, should someone happen to see it on your nightstand. You know, for middle-of-the-night science. Something about it has a lab aesthetic, but that’s probably because I’m not a scientist.
Battery Life and Charging
The user manual said this toy is USB rechargeable and provides up to four hours of fun. After plugging in the charging cord, this toy lasted 3 hours and 48 minutes on the first setting. Like the Premium 2, the manual said the toy would take 2 hours to charge. In reality, it took 2 hours and 10 minutes, a bit longer than the user manual stated.
With most sex toys, it’s pretty easy to tell when they’re charging, but not so on the Womanizer Duo. To see if the clitoral suction toy is plugged in correctly, you must gaze into the abyss—or at least look into the suction hole to see a faint white flashing light.
Another cool feature: this toy switches off after ten minutes of neglect. In an ideal world, every toy would have this tech because sometimes you forget to turn the toy off in the orgasm aftermath. That way, you won’t be disappointed by a dead battery the next time you grab your toy.
Controls
There are so many buttons on this toy you might feel like you’re playing Minecraft. This toy has buttons that can do basically anything except reduce spam from your email inbox.
First, there’s a power button on the back of the Womanizer Duo. Then, on the front of the device, the top and right buttons increase and decrease the clitoral stimulation. The left and bottom buttons increase and decrease the G spot vibrator. Underneath those four controls is another little button, which is the pattern button. You press this to change up the rhythm and experiment with different vibration patterns.
Though there are several buttons, I love the ability to control the suction and the vibration separately. Some people are sensitive in different places, and the separate controls will help this toy work for a wider range of people.
Warranty and Support
All Womanizer products come with a 5-year warranty, which is a long time in sex-toy years.
Cleaning
The user manual recommends using a sex toy cleaner for the Duo. You can also clean it with soap and warm water. The important thing is to remove the silky silicone head and wash that separately so that you can get into the crevices. Then, let both parts air dry.
How To Use Womanizer Duo?
After you’ve used the USB charging cable to charge up the Womanizer Duo, grab some water-based lube, spread it around, and press the power button on the back of the device. If you want to be extra confident the device is on, look at the clitoral stimulation head and see if the white light is on. If it is, you’re in business.
Even though it’s on, nothing will activate until you place it on your skin. This is the Womanizer Smart Silence technology. It will automatically turn off if you remove the toy, making it more discreet than most other toys on the market.
However, this also makes it confusing unless you’ve thoroughly read the manual before starting. When you turn it on, you have to make sure you’re not touching the clitoral stimulator, or the silencing feature can get a little bit confused.
Next, you insert the bulbous end that stimulates the G-spot. After you’ve got the G-spot arm in a good spot, place the clitoral stimulator around your clit. If it doesn’t feel comfortable, try the other size head.
Once everything is in position, you can play around with the intensities. The Duo defaults to the lowest setting, and every time you ratchet up the levels (or down), the LED light flashes. When you get to the highest setting of vibration or suction, the lights will no longer flash. There are 12 intensity levels for the G spot vibes and clit stimulation, giving you many paths toward orgasm.
When you’re finished, you can push the power button to turn it off.
My Personal Experience
Ease Of Use
When I first tried the Duo stimulator, it took a moment to get the G-spot arm positioned correctly. This happens frequently, even though I tried out many different clit devices. So, if it happens to you, maneuver it a bit until the Duo works properly. The internal arm should fit comfortably while the external portion still reaches your clit.
Design
Even though the Duo isn’t as flexible as the Lelo Enigma, I felt like the Duo fit me better. The head reached my clit without trouble, so I think the shape worked well for my body. However, this is just the opinion of one person. If you have more space between your clit and your G-spot on your body, you may have more trouble getting the head to reach.
Stimulations
I appreciated that the vibration and suction both started on the lower end of the intensity spectrum. Too much pleasure, and a sensitive clitoris like mine will be overwhelmed rather than delighted. Overall, Womanizer Duo had a good range of sensations to help even the pickiest clit have multiple orgasms without any trouble and certainly without getting sore.
The deep vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy, which is a plus for anyone who can’t get enough rumble. The suction was so pleasant that I didn’t miss the feeling of vibration on my clit, either.
I’ve never been a huge fan of vibration patterns since I need a sense of reliability to have orgasms. However, I tried the vibration rhythms, which were fun to play around with, even if they didn’t lead to climax. People who want to mix things up will appreciate the options more than I did.
Since the user manual said you could hold this simply by closing your thighs, I also tried that. To my surprise, it worked. So, depending on your body shape, this can be a semi-hands-free toy, though you won’t be able to move around very much.
Sound Level
Here’s something interesting about the Smart Silence tech: it doesn’t quite work underwater. At least, it didn’t during my research for this review. Since the water is touching the device at all times, it never turns off, even if it’s no longer touching my skin.
This situation didn’t pose a problem for me, but if you’re primarily interested in how discreet this toy is, keep in mind that it is less stealthy in wet scenarios. But it was still fun in the tub, and the sounds of vibration weren’t easy to hear once I had it correctly in place.
Settings
Working with six buttons on one toy was definitely a new experience for me. I took a mental picture of where the buttons were and what they controlled before getting into the bathtub, and then I had to check a couple of times to ensure I was pressing the right ones. If you don’t like fidgety buttons, this could take some time to adapt to.
In addition, if you feel like your toy is acting funny for some reason, the chances are you need to turn off the silencing technology so the buttons work as you push them rather than once your skin touches the device. Toys like this take a while to figure out, but it’s worth it when the payoff is as big as the intense orgasms the Duo delivers.

Most of the Womanizer product offerings focus on suction. However, the InsideOut is comparable to the Duo, but it’s only $149, a bit less than the Duo. The battery life is a bit less, too, so you can only play with the Inside Out for two hours compared to the Duo’s four.
The Womanizer Inside Out only comes in one color: black. And the Inside Out doesn’t come with the Smart Silence function, so it’s a bit less discreet. Plus, the Inside Out only has the option for constant vibration, whereas the Duo has different patterns for you to choose from.
However, if you want to save a little money, you can have most of the features for a little bit less with the Inside Out.

Compared to the Womanizer Premium 2, the Duo offers several more options. Premium 2 only offers clit suction with no internal stimulation. But they have the same tech that turns the device off when not in use, and they are both waterproof toys.
Another option is Womanizer Pro40 (Womanizer Pro40 review here).
The Lelo Enigma is another dual-stimulation toy that retails for $189. Duo’s biggest advantage is that you can control the clit and G spot intensity separately. This customizability can make for a bespoke sexual experience, unlike many others. In my humble opinion, I think the Enigma is slightly prettier, but that’s entirely subjective.
The Duo also has more intensity levels and Smart Silence. Other than that, these two toys are very similar: both are well-packaged, well-made, come with a storage bag, immediately become best friends with your clit, and make excellent gifts.
Rabbit vibrators would also be somewhat comparable (so check out our list of the best!), but you’ll trade clit suction for clitoral vibration. The pressure waves make it pretty easy to have multiple orgasms because it’s much harder to become overstimulated. But if you love vibration and suction equally, many rabbit models offer cheaper options for dual stimulation.
