Womanizer Premium Review 2024 | Would I Fall Under Its Spell?

Womanizer PremiumThe Womanizer Premium looks like something Cleopatra might have owned due to its elegant design. But is this luxury clitoral suction toy worth the $199?

With other clitoris toys available for less than half the price, I investigated whether the features and the upgrades make Womanizer Premium worth the extra cost. Join me in my review as I search for answers.

What Is The Womanizer Premium?

Womanizer came on the scene in 2014 with the first clitoral suction toy. Designed by Wow-Tech to prevent overstimulation, their Pleasure Air Technology uses air pulses on the clitoris. In a way, this sex toy company modernized the industry for people with a clitoris.

The Premium is one of their more expensive toys, but it has features galore. The packaging even says, “Expect Magic.” Would I fall under its spell?

Womanizer Premium features at a glance:

  • Material: Medical-grade silicone and ABS plastic
  • Length: 6.1 x 2.0 x 1.4 inches

The Packaging

The packaging is pretty and comes in a sturdy box. The box has a picture of a woman holding the Womanizer with a caption below that says, “You are everything you want to be.” They’re going for a theme of women’s empowerment, and I don’t hate it.

The Premium comes with a travel bag and two sizes of nozzles. The extra nozzle size is a plus because not everyone has the same clitoris shape. It also came with a USB charging cable and a magnetic charger, which I love.

Inside the box was a business card that said  #IMASTURBATE, and I appreciate their efforts to normalize masturbation in the form of a business card.

The Premium box also had a user manual, which is thorough, to put it mildly. It’s a mid-size novel about how to treat your sex toy with care so it will care for you in return. Within, I found a few noteworthy things. For one, the manual says not to use it longer than 15 minutes, so this isn’t the right toy for people who want to take their time.

The Material

Silicone and ABS plastic make up this toy. And the materials are fully waterproof, so you can use it in the tub.

The Dimensions

This toy is just over six inches long, so it’s not specifically travel-sized, but it’s not obnoxiously big, either.

The Body

The body is black with a gold stripe that looks a bit like a necklace. It’s super soft and well-made, and you can choose from a veritable rainbow of colors.

Womanizer Premium charging

Battery and Charging

The Womanizer Premium is USB rechargeable. The manual says that you can use this toy for up to 4 hours while taking about two hours to charge it.

I timed it for my Premium review, and it lasted for three hours and 46 minutes on the first setting. Charge time took two hours and six minutes, just over what they suggested.

Controls

If you’re used to devices with one button and one light, this toy won’t seem highly intuitive, so it’s worth reading through the user manual. It has four buttons and three lights, and the combination of meanings they confer is nearly endless.

For instance, when you turn it on, you’re not supposed to touch the nozzle because it can disrupt the Smart Silence function. However, you can deactivate Smart Silence.

Smart Silence means the device turns off whenever it’s not touching you. It’s a handy feature for anyone who likes to be discreet. To turn this setting off, push the + and – buttons at the same time for a moment or two.

The tip

One cool feature that Womanizer has is called Autopilot mode. Autopilot mode helps this device better mimic oral sex than some of the other clitoral suction devices. Autopilot is a feature where you choose from a range of intensities (low, which encompasses settings 1-4; medium, which is settings 5-8; or intense, which is settings 9-12), and then the toy does its own thing ramping you up the levels and then back down again.

While I still don’t think it mimics oral sex, it does imitate partnered sex in a way because it delivers the unexpected. The element of surprise generally isn’t very well represented in sex toys, but it’s in the Womanizer Premium.

The Womanizer also has twelve intensity levels, which is a lot.

The body

Warranty and Support

The Womanizer comes with a 5-year warranty—a long time for a sex toy!

Cleaning

The user manual recommends you treat the Womanizer with a sex toy cleaner. It’s pretty simple to clean, yet not as easy as the toys you can wash with antibacterial soap and warm water.

The three LED lights are indented, and so are the symbols on the buttons. So, if you wanted to get this extra clean, you could use a toothbrush to get into the ridges.

How To Use Womanizer Premium?

  1. After you charge the Womanizer Premium, apply some water-based lube and turn it on using the power button.
  2. You can push the plus and minus buttons to adjust the settings or press the button that looks a little bit like an EKG monitor’s pattern and have it go on Autopilot.
  3. If you’re using it on Smart Silence mode, remove the toy from your skin to turn it off. If not, press the power button.

My Personal Experience

Let’s get the negative out of the way: I’m not a fan of the brand name “Womanizer.” I don’t find it to be friendly to trans and non-binary folks, but I did appreciate they had several gender-neutral color options.

Now onto the positive: this brand literally invented touch-free orgasms. Most people who try this toy are obsessed with it for a good reason. It’s not just the first; it’s likely the best.

Ease Of Use

The first time I tried the Premium for my testing, it took a while to get it situated correctly. I tried both sizes of the silicone head to find a comfortable fit, and I found that both worked for me, and I didn’t prefer one over the other. The soft nozzle feels amazing against sensitive skin.

Stimulations

I compared their suction mechanisms and was pleased to find that it has 12 intensity levels that go lower and higher than other suction devices, which is super helpful for people like me who fall on the “extremely sensitive” side of the spectrum.

Some of the more intense settings feel like air tapping on the clit rather than an air pulse, and it is so strong that it’s easy to be a little overwhelmed by the sensation.

I’m not usually one who gets very excited about different settings, but the enormous range of suction intensities surprised me. You can start very slowly and work your way up. This toy could even help you learn to edge.

Sound Level

To give it a full review, I tried it both underwater and without water. This toy was somewhat quiet both underwater and not, but I don’t think it will win any awards for silence. You could definitely hear it, even positioned correctly underwater. Though I always find it easier to have orgasms with suction toys by using them underwater, I felt like both experiences were next-level. The amount of control you have over how intense the air pulses are is fantastic.

In my opinion, there are two kinds of clitorises: those that need reliable stimulation and those that like the unexpected. For me, reaching orgasm is easier with a reliable pattern. But I think the Autopilot feature would be great for anyone who loves something unexpected. Autopilot mimics the teasing nature of partnered sex in a way few other devices do.

Womanizer Premium Review Summary

Stimulation4.4 out of 5 stars
Suction4.3 out of 5 stars
Cleanup4.5 out of 5 stars
Price4 out of 5 stars
Overall Rating4.4 out of 5 stars

In general, I think the Womanizer Premium offers several significant upgrades for people who want an elevated suction experience. I hands down recommend it because if you decide to splurge on the Premium, it very well could end up being the most used sex toy in your nightstand.

Pros

  • Waterproof
  • Many levels of intensity to choose from
  • Discreet
  • Luxurious look and feel
  • Very giftable

Cons

  • Expensive
  • The controls aren’t very intuitive

Who Should Try the Womanizer Premium

If you already know you love clitoral suction but would like more options, this is a great toy for you.

Who Can Skip It

If you need internal G spot stimulation, you might not want to purchase this toy. Also, if you haven’t tried clitoral suction, it’s a good idea to try cheaper pressure wave toys first or one that comes with a vibrator as well.

How It Up Against Other Womanizer Toys

Womanizer has many different pressure wave toys. Each offers pleasure air technology and is waterproof (except the Starlet Snow), but they have some essential distinctions.

The Womanizer Pro40 retails for $129 but is often on sale for $99. It only has six settings and two color options, and doesn’t offer the Smart Silence feature or Autopilot. Downside: it’s just not very pretty.

Womanizer Pro40

As the budget choice of the Womanizer brand, the price of the Starlet is only $79. It has four modes and three color options.

The Starlet Snow retails for $79 but isn’t meant for tub or shower use, has four modes, and only comes in white.

The Womanizer Liberty ($99) has four color options, six settings, an extra stimulator head size, and a travel case for multiple orgasms on the go. You can read our Womanizer Liberty review here.

The device charging

The W500, at $199, has twelve settings and two nozzles (one small and one medium). Plus, it has the Glow Up mood lighting straight from the sex toy to your eyeballs. It has a longer battery life, too, comparable to the Premium.

The Womanizer Classic 2 costs $129, comes in one color, has eight different settings, and has an extra-size nozzle. Plus, it has a silent mode (though it’s not completely silent—it’s just quiet). You can read our Womanizer Classic 2 review here.

Are There Any Good Alternatives?

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is a cheaper model with the same mechanism: clitoral suction. However, the feel of the Satisfyer Pro 2’s mostly ABS plastic body is much less luxurious than the Womanizer Premium’s silky silicone body.

Satisfyer Pro 2

The Womanizer has more intensity options, and the Satisfyer doesn’t have anything like the AutoPilot function. In essence, the Womanizer Premium is a jacked-up version of the Satisfyer, perfect for someone in the market for a refined clitoral suction device.
