All the clit suckers we tested

Have you tried clitoral suction yet? Don’t sleep on this life-changing, heart-pounding, multiple-orgasm-inspiring sensation. The idea of a touchless orgasm isn’t just remarkable and magical, it’s also a way to achieve multiple orgasms, since you won’t have to worry about overstimulation.

Choosing the right one can make or break your experience. Maybe you want something that doesn’t break the bank, in which case, skip on down to the budget pick. Or, perhaps you want to learn to squirt, in which case you should test out the dual stimulation winner. Clitoral suction isn’t a gimmick; it’s a revolution.

If you want the best overall experience, that’s an easy choice. We did all the testing around to find out that, yet again, Womanizer Enhance reigns supreme. It’s not the newest or the most tech-integrated, but it offers a luxurious experience at a reasonable price, and it has stood the test of time. No matter your goals, you can’t go wrong with the seven best clit suckers listed below (or the two bonus options). Read on to find your match.

LELO ENIGMA Double SonicThe LELO ENIGMA Wave is a must-buy if you can’t decide between G-spot vibration, clitoral suction, and G-spot stroking. This luxury toy could help you reach blended orgasms, especially if clitoral air pulses are an easy way for you to reach orgasm.

Meet The Tester

Hi, I’m Angela Kempf, a sex writer and product tester by day, and someone who can’t take anything seriously also by day. I love to try new things, both inside and outside of the bedroom, and I take novelty and pleasure seriously. I’m committed to stigma-reduction, and I love inclusive toys.

Integrity is important to us here at My Sex Toy Guide. We buy each and every review sample with our own money, and we never accept free products in exchange for a positive review. We also want to be transparent about our business model. While we depend on affiliate commissions, we would never give a favorable review to a product just because it offers a higher payout. Every item on this list is included for one very reason: it’s genuinely among the very best.

How We Picked the Products

The team’s first mission was selecting the products to evaluate for this article (final count: a lot). We suggested our personal favorites as well as new models that looked promising, and we scoured retailers’ websites and sex toy forums to see what was getting the most buzz (heh).

We then defined the criteria that we would use to rate these clit suckers:

  • Design: The first consideration was whether the clit sucker was made with high-quality, body-safe materials and whether the build quality and finish were impeccable. After that, “design” becomes more subjective, but we gave the most points to products that were engineered to work with bodies of all shapes and sizes. We also looked for toys that were ergonomically friendly and felt good in the hand.
  • Versatility: All of the clit sucker toys that we evaluated did what they were supposed to do, some better than others. But multitasking can be a good thing, so we gave extra points to toys that offered additional functionality.
  • Settings: It goes without saying that clitorises are very sensitive! Because of this, even a slight difference in suction strength can make a huge difference, either good or bad. We looked for clit sucker toys with a lot of different settings so that every user can get exactly what they want and need.
  • Stimulations: In addition to the settings, we also prioritized toys that were able to maintain consistency — once you’ve discovered the pattern and intensity that works for you, you want it to be the same throughout your play time, every time!
  • Special Features: Here’s where we gave points to features that we really liked that didn’t fit neatly into any other category. For instance, some of our clit sucker toys had “smart” features such as AutoPilot and Smart Silence, which made them excellent play partners!
  • Ease of Use: We’re after the whole experience here, so we also evaluated how user-friendly the toys were. This included buttons that were easy to operate with one hand that’s slippery with lube, and how pleasant it felt in our hands.
  • Sound Level: Clit suction toys are quieter than vibrators with motors, but they do have their own unique sounds. We looked for models where those sounds did not distract or detract from the overall experience.
  • Charging and Battery Life: Our testers preferred toys with magnetic charging cables. They feel easier to use and there’s no break in the silicone skin, like there often is with a barrel plug. We also looked at models that charged relatively quickly and offered good run time.
  • Price and Value: The price is what it is, but here we looked for clit suction toys that gave the most bang for the buck. A budget-friendly toy was not downgraded for being relatively basic, for instance, but we definitely expected more from toys that expected more of our paychecks.

Our testers rated each criterion on a scale of 0 to 100, and they provided detailed written reports explaining their scores. We then calculated a weighted score, with more important criteria receiving a heavier weight: half the total rating comes from Stimulation (25%) and Design (25%). After that come Ease of Use (10%), Price and Value (10%), and Special Features (10%).

I then worked with Sandra and Tim Larson to review the reports. We also considered reviews from sex toy retailers and adult forums. After 26 solid hours of analysis, we are confident that these are the best clit suckers that you can buy this year!

1. Womanizer Enhance: Our Overall Test Winner!

Womanizer Enhance

Why I love Womanizer Enhance:

The Womanizer Enhance is a game-changer, and it’s one of the very few toys I always keep at arm’s reach. That’s because it gives me what I want, no matter what kind of mood I’m in. It doesn’t just have clitoral suction; it has vibration, too. And it performs both types of stimulations expertly, which makes it a unicorn in the sex toy universe.

You can use vibration, suction, or both at once, depending on what the evening calls for, and the sensations can be operated independently. In the study cited on Womanizer’s website, 100% of users had an orgasm! In the multiple studies I ran, I had an orgasm 100% of the time, too.

The device charging

The design is excellent: no sharp corners that dig in when you press down, a broad hole that won’t make your clit claustrophobic, and waterproof, body-safe materials that are silky and seamless.

The Womanizer Enhance is the ideal purchase for someone who hasn’t tried clitoral suction before, because if you don’t like it, you still have an excellent vibrator ready for action. You can start with a setting of predominantly vibration and add in suction as you feel comfortable, or vice versa. You can gauge up slowly, training your body to enjoy a new type of sexual sensation.

Me testing the sound level using a decibel meter

It’s uncommon to find a dual-stimulation toy that doesn’t include the G-spot, which the Womanizer Enhance doesn’t. That also makes it the perfect find for someone who has dyspareunia or pain upon insertion.

The price is a drawback, for sure. But the Womanizer Enhance comes with a five-year warranty, so, at the very least, you can plan on five years of pleasure, which comes to $34 per year. Think of how many orgasms that is! That’s a steal. There’s no other clit sucker on this list as easy to love as the Womanizer Enhance.

The content of the box

Minor issues I found during testing:

  • The Womanizer Enhance retails for $170, which is a big chunk of change, especially for someone who isn’t sure they will enjoy suction.
  • And it won’t work for someone who craves G-spot stimulation unless paired with another device.
  • The only other thing that isn’t a slam dunk is the five-button interface, which isn’t quite as easy to use as it should be.

If you want to see what Womanizer Enhance looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

  • Material: Silicone & ABS Plastic

Pros:

  • Outstanding versatility.
  • Impressive range of sensations.
  • Ergonomic design.
  • Multiple color options.
  • Phenomenal build quality.

Cons:

  • It’s pricey – $159.
  • The control interface could be better.

2. Womanizer Next: Strongest & Quietest!

Womanizer Next

Why I love Womanizer Next:

The top two slots of the best clit sucker rankings are taken by Womanizer devices, and that’s because they know a thing or two about suction. For suction purists, the search for the perfect clit-sucking toy ends here. From the gorgeous design to the sleek, powerful suction to the fact it’s nearly silent decibel level, Next is an excellent clit suction selection.

But here’s the question: how is Next so strong and yet so silent? I’m not sure, but it’s unquestionably some kind of sex toy sorcery.

The Next’s stimulations aren’t thuddy, so if you like the pulsing intensity of air suction, it would be wise to choose another clit sucker. What it does provide are gentle, smooth, touchless pulses that leave you quaking and curious about how it all happened so fast. If other clit-sucking products left you sore or overwhelmed, the variety of stimulations on the Womanizer Next can show you that suction can be gentle and teasing.

The packaging

Further, this is a feature-heavy device. Womanizer Next has high-end, fun-to-explore features added by people who know what clit-suction enthusiasts like. Settings like Autopilot, Smart Silence, Afterglow, and Climax Control will have you feeling like orgasmic royalty.

There are so many different settings to try that the Womanizer Next will feel like you’re getting to know your body all over again.

Womanizer Next with the two suction mouths

It comes with everything you need (except lube, buy some water-based in advance!), like a storage bag and recharging cable. It also has a differently sized nozzle, giving clits of all proportions access to pleasure.

The packaging mentions that it is noiseless, and they mean it. It’s the quietest thing I have used, so it’s perfect for someone who needs discretion. If power and discreet noise levels are at the top of your wish list, the Womanizer Next should be, too.

Me testing the sound level using a decibel meter

A Good Alternative:

Womanizer Premium 2 (review here) is a decent alternative if you want something more ‘thuddy’ and less gentle on the lower settings. The multiple settings and exciting functions like the smart silence and Autopilot made the product perfect for the curious, experienced masturbator. You can see the two devices side-by-side in the image below. Next on the left and Premium 2 on the right.

Next and Premium 2 side by side

Minor issues I found during testing:

To own a Womanizer Next, you’ll need to shell out $230, which is a hefty fee. It provides that much value and more, but not everyone can afford it. It is not app-compatible, which seems like it should be an option at this price point.

If you want to see what Womanizer Next looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full Womanizer Next review here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone
  • Length: 6.5″
  • Circumference: 6.25″

Pros:

  • Robust motor with multiple suction patterns.
  • Remarkable build quality.
  • The suction mimics oral sex well.
  • Autopilot and Afterglow features.
  • 14 intensity settings.
  • Great five-year warranty.

Cons:

  • No phone app or remote control.
  • It is pricey – $219.

3. ROMP Switch X: Our Budget Pick!

ROMP Switch X

Why I love ROMP Switch X:

Where I live, you can skip two cocktails on your next girls’ night out and have enough money to buy the ROMP Switch X, easily the best of the lot when it comes to your pocketbook. It was made in collaboration with Lovehoney, and you can tell the quality exceeds the price point as soon as you take it out of the packaging.

Sometimes, budget toys come from dubious companies, but this one features Pleasure Air Technology, patented by Womanizer, so you are getting a high-end stimulation experience for a gobsmackingly low price.

Closeup of the suction mouth

The ROMP Switch X comes with batteries since it’s not rechargeable, so you’ll need to keep some on hand. And the Pleasure Air Technology it uses means that touchless air pulses stimulate you to orgasm. It’s a smooth experience, and there’s no thuddy air to be found here. It’s not a seamless design, but I was pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of this clit sucker.

The good thing about budget toys is that they’re typically easy to use. Fewer features mean nothing to figure out, and that holds true for the ROMP Switch X. Put in some batteries, turn it on, and try each of the six intensity levels. That’s all you need to know, making it a very straightforward experience, which boosts this as an excellent first-time clit suction purchase. It’s foolproof!

Closeup of the control buttons

If you don’t like the ROMP, you’re only out a little bit of cash, but at least you’ll know if you enjoy clitoral suction. And if you do like it, you’ll likely be willing to splurge more on the next toy. I wish I had this exact device as my first sex toy. As far as introductory clit suckers go, it doesn’t get any better than the ROMP Switch X.

Minor issues I found during testing:

The ROMP Switch X is not waterproof, has very few features, isn’t rechargeable, and the stimulation is light. The ROMP Switch X is only ideal for first-time clitoral suction triers.

If you want to see what ROMP Switch X looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our complete ROMP Switch X review here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone
  • Length: 5.07″
  • Circumference: 6.4″

Pros:

  • The most affordable clit suction toy.
  • Impressive lightweight design.
  • Striking build quality.
  • Gentle suction.
  • The removable silicone nozzle is easy to clean.
  • Impressive two-year warranty.

Cons:

  • It is not rechargeable.
  • The product is not waterproof.

4. Womanizer Peach Toy: Most Beginner-Friendly!

The charging stand

Why I Love the Womanizer Peach Toy:

If you’ve never bought a clit sucker (or a sex toy in general), the Womanizer Peach Toy is the very best place to start. It’s not intimidating, uber realistic, nor difficult to use. On the contrary, it’s cute, straightforward, and addictive. It eliminates the barriers to enjoying sex toys on every front. If I had my little way, I’d use this peach toy every day.

The aesthetics are insane at this price point. I keep this on the mantle above my bed because it is cute and I want everyone to try it. It’s a conversation piece, meant for display. The Womanizer Peach Toy comes with a charging stand, too, because it is far too adorable to hide away. Hyper-realistic, genital-mimicking toys can be off-putting to first-timers, but an adorable little peach looks friendly and approachable.

Womanizer Peach Toy

It’s rechargeable, so you won’t need to fumble around for batteries after a long pleasure sesh. Better yet, the intensity spectrum is impressive. It starts off light and flirty and grows into something with enough oomph for power-hungry clits. Chances are that your clit will find its ideal level of suction on the Peach Toy.

The Womanizer Peach Toy costs more than the ROMP Switch X, our budget pick, about twice as much. But in return for the extra investment, you get rechargeability, waterproof materials, a five-year warranty, twice as many intensity levels, and an aesthetic that you’ll fall in love with. If you can afford it, this is the very best clit sucker for beginners.

The packaging

A Good Alternative: Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3

Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3 is a good option if you want an affordable product with a more ergonomic handle. It’s an upgrade of the original Satisfyer Pro 2, with notable improvements like app-compatibility, versatility, and a luxurious exterior.

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3

I especially appreciated the easy-to-use control pad with a power button and another to toggle the intensity. Everyone agreed that the design was beginner-friendly, with an ergonomic body to simplify handling.

Minor issues I found during testing:

  • The hole you put your clit in is small, so this isn’t for my large-clitted friends. It will be uncomfortable and may not work at all.
  • The rim around the nozzle is also not the silkiest, and it has a blunt corner that you may butt up against, which may lead to discomfort for the extra-sensitive folks.

If you want to see what the Womanizer Peach Toy looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full Womanizer Peach Toy review here.

Features:

  • Fourteen intensity levels with Pleasure Air Technology
  • Waterproof and body-safe silicone
  • USB rechargeable, 2.2-inch diameter
  • Quiet operation tested between 50 and 68 decibels

Pros:

  • Clear winner for beginners in our tests
  • Simple two-button control
  • Compact and comfortable to hold
  • Strong battery life that exceeded two hours
  • Five-year warranty for long-term coverage

Cons:

  • The small suction opening may not suit everyone
  • The rim can feel tight during extended use
  • Charging stand is unstable, and no storage pouch is included

5. LELO ENIGMA Wave: Best for Dual Stimulation!

LELO ENIGMA Wave

Why I love the LELO ENIGMA Wave:

The LELO Wave devices are some of my favorites out of everything I’ve tried, not just the clit suckers. LELO uses its patented WaveMotion technology, which, rather than vibrating against your G-spot, has a wave-like stroking pattern that feels a bit like getting fingered. The come-hither motion is unbelievable; it never gets old. And it’s the best for someone who hasn’t found their G-spot yet. The internal arm will do the hard work for you.

The LELO ENIGMA Wave is the best clit sucker for dual stimulation by a landslide, and the experience is memorable from start to finish. The unboxing is exceptional, and it comes with everything you need to begin playing.

The packaging

The waterproof materials are sleek, easy to clean, and feel marvelous against sensitive skin. This is a high-end experience that is worth every penny. It’s not pretentious in any way, but you will wonder how you lived without it after you’ve tried it. This is the equivalent of flying first class for your clitoris.

The LELO ENIGMA Wave has a lot of power, thanks to the three motors that keep the sensations flowing. You can’t control them separately, but you can choose between vibration, suction, and the wave motion. The vibrations are buzzy, the waves are strong, and the suction spans a wide range so that you can tailor the experience to your liking.

Closeup of the control buttons

This is a clit sucker that can help you learn to have a blended orgasm (combining both G-spot and clit climaxes) or squirt. If that’s your goal, it’s easily worth the considerable expense. If you can get the stimulation just right and are quite turned on, blended orgasms are almost inescapable. You can’t put a price on having a brand-new kind of orgasm.

Minor issues I found during testing:

  • The LELO ENIGMA Wave retails for $270, which will price many people out.
  • Beyond that, not being able to control the motors separately bummed me out. If you like strong vibration or WaveMotion technology, your clit will experience strong suction, as every sensation moves up in intensity simultaneously. That component limits versatility significantly, but it won’t be an issue for someone whose G-spot and clitoral agree on the stimulation settings.
  • The buttons aren’t super intuitive, but if you use the same toy each night, you’ll have them memorized in no time.

If you want to see what the LELO ENIGMA Wave looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read my full LELO ENIGMA Wave review here.

Features:

  • Material: Body-safe silicone and ABS plastic
  • Size: 4.2” X 1.9” X 7.1”
  • Color: Black or cyber purple
  • Mechanism: Clitoral sonic wave stimulation, G-spot WaveMotion, and vibration
  • Weight: 0.44 lbs

Pros:

  • WaveMotion is the MVP of internal stimulation
  • Gorgeous, flexible design and long battery life
  • Makes achieving a blended orgasm possible for those who haven’t done so before
  • Waterproof
  • Three pleasurable sensations: sonic pulses, wave motion, and vibration
  • Can be used hands-free

Cons:

  • Costs $259, which is quite expensive
  • Vibration, suction, and WaveMotion intensities are not separately controllable

6. Lovehoney Rose Toy: Best Rose-Shaped Sucker!

Lovehoney Rose toy

Why I love the Lovehoney Rose Toy:

The Lovehoney Rose Toy is flower power at its best. It is cute as can be and so much fun to use. Sex toy companies have inspired a trend of blooming, aesthetic clit suckers, so there is a bouquet of choices to wade through. The Lovehoney Rose Toy is my favorite, not just for looks but also for the long haul. It’s durable and effective at a shockingly affordable price.

The waterproof design gives this Rose Toy the edge over the competition. Many other similarly designed suckers are splash-proof but not waterproof. And using clit suckers in the bathtub is my favorite way to play. The way the Lovehoney Rose Toy keeps on trucking year after year needs to be studied. Rarely is a relatively affordable toy so durable.

Closeup of the two control buttons

The Lovehoney Rose Toy is available for $70, making it a wise choice for the budget-conscious. Plus, it is waterproof, offers ten settings to choose from, and lasts over an hour on a single charge. It has a travel lock, so the battery won’t drain in your suitcase, and it boasts a simple two-button interface on its pretty pink exterior. It’s giftable, and you can use it in certain positions during partnered sex, too, like spooning.

You can expect a good amount of suction from this clit sucker. It uses Pleasure Air Technology, which will nip your curiosity about clitoral suction in the bud. It’s comfortable and has a soft, wide mouth for your clit to fit in.

Closeup of the suction mouth

The stimulation is on the lighter side, making this another excellent choice for newbies. Yet it’s so potent that it will have you orgasming one time after another, even if you weren’t particularly turned on to start. The orgasms are intense, even if the stimulation is not.

Minor issues I found during testing:

  • The Lovehoney Rose Toy won’t work for someone who needs dual stimulation or intense suction to climax.
  • Even more minor quibbles are that it doesn’t come with a storage bag, and it is one of the noisier clit suckers.
  • If you don’t like the rose-shaped look, I recommend checking out the Lovehoney Venus Glow, which is shaped like a cute seashell.

If you want to see what the Lovehoney Rose Toy looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can find our review of the rose clitoral sucker here.

Features:

  • Material: Silicone
  • Length: 3″
  • Circumference: 7″

Pros:

  • Good-looking rose clit sucking toy.
  • Remarkable 10 suction settings.
  • It’s made from medical-grade material.
  • Intuitive 2-button control pad.
  • Relatively affordable – $49.99.

Cons:

  • The nooks and crannies are hard to clean.

7. LELO SONA 3: Most Rumbly Clit Sucker!

LELO SONA 3

Why I Love LELO SONA 3:

Last but not least, LELO SONA 3 will get you ready to rumble because this suction is rumbly AF. If you have never tried clitoral suction before, this may not make sense to you, but this clit sucker has some kind of magic that makes the suction reach deep inside your body and soul.

When you place this thing on your clit, you suddenly feel the interconnectedness of all your pleasure spots because of the deep, intense, rumbly suction. It’s something you must try to fully appreciate.

Close-up of the control buttons

The unboxing is (you guessed it) amazing. The LELO SONA 3 arrives gorgeous, giftable, and exactly what you want from a sexy purchase. It also features SmoothRise technology, which allows you to ramp up the intensity rather than jump from one setting to the next. It’s a small touch, but it makes a difference in the experience.

It’s app-compatible, too, so you can access hands-free settings that will add nuance and surprise to your masturbation time. You can also connect with long-distance partners, making this the best choice for anyone who doesn’t regularly get to see their partner.

The packaging

The LELO SONA 3 is prettier than many on this list, even some of the aesthetic-focused suckers. The website refers to it as a work of art, and it fits the bill. It’s easy to clean, store, and use. Plus, it’s versatile and customizable.

The suction is powerful and potent. The SONA 3 is one of the more powerful suction devices I’ve tested, in fact. What’s more shocking is that it is quiet, even at higher settings.

Me testing the LELO app

The LELO SONA comes in a few versions, including the Cruise, which has Cruise control. If you long for additional features, you may want to check that out. The Cruise ensures that there’s no drop in intensity when you grind against the clit sucker, but I’ve never encountered that with the original version, which is why it’s the best of the best. Anyone who wants intensity won’t be disappointed by this luxury purchase.

Minor issues I found during testing:

  • This clit sucker is priced at $160, which is certainly at the higher end of the price spectrum for a one-function device.
  • Another drawback is that the nozzle is small and won’t fit all clits.
  • Lastly, the automatic shutoff function (which can’t be turned off) may make users feel unnecessarily rushed and is not my favorite.

If you want to see what LELO SONA 3 looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:

You can read our full LELO SONA 3 review here.

Features:

  • Material: Body-safe silicone and ABS plastic
  • Size: 4.4 × 2 × 2.2 inches
  • Weight: 4.5 oz
  • Battery life: Up to 15 hours on low settings

Pros:

  • Deep, rumbly suction that stimulates beyond the surface
  • SmoothRise control system for gradual intensity changes
  • Long-lasting battery and waterproof design
  • Stable app connectivity with extra patterns

Cons:

  • Pricey
  • Small nozzle opening limits fit for some users
  • The automatic shutoff timer cannot be turned off

Other Good Alternatives

LELO SILA CruiseThe LELO SILA Cruise is another solid clit sucker worth your consideration. This clit sucker has a wide, comfortable nozzle, perfect for anyone with a larger clit. It’s also better for that all-over sensation, which many folks prefer over the pinpoint sensation most clit suckers offer. Plus, it offers the Cruise function, ensuring the motor doesn’t short when you press hard against it as you near orgasm.

LELO ENIGMA Double SonicThe LELO ENIGMA Double Sonic’s claim to fame is that it’s the only vibe on this list that offers A-spot stimulation. It’s one of the only toys I’ve ever tested that reaches that erogenous zone, giving it a worthwhile novelty factor. You can operate the motors separately to create a unique, custom experience.

Lovense FizzLovense Fizz is the best app-controlled clit sucker. On one side, you have clitoral suction, and on the other, clitoral tapping. You can switch stimulations in the middle of self-pleasure and alternate ways to climax. Further, there are two ways to play: via the excellent Lovense app or through the device’s buttons.

Womanizer Marilyn Monroe Special EditionWomanizer Marilyn Monroe Edition had the highest-rated design of the products we reviewed. Whether you’re a fan of the American icon or not, you’ll enjoy the sheer elegance and efficiency of this beauty. It even has the Afterglow function that lets you enjoy your climax without risking a sore clit.

Womanizer Liberty 2Womanizer Liberty 2 is our preferred option for travel. The petite clit sucker has outstanding practicality and size balance. Notably, the small motor has a potent reputation, and very few people will walk away wanting more sensations for the size. The included cover shields the button when traveling to avoid accidental buzzing. It also keeps Liberty clean during transit.

Womanizer Premium EcoWomanizer Premium Eco is the most environmentally-friendly clit sucking toy we found (sadly, there are not many). It’s made from Biolene, a more sustainable material. In addition, this sucker promises a lot of bang for your buck and will last forever when maintained correctly.

Tracy's Dog OG Pro 2Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 is perfect if you want textures on the internal arm. The versatile rabbit vibrator’s inner arm features subtle lines to amplify internal stimulation. I enjoyed the extra fine-tuning, which was more elaborate during the slow settings.

And One To Avoid

Strawberry EmojibatorThe design of Strawberry Emojibator is absolutely adorable, with the leaves on top acting as the suction component (and a very powerful one), and the more pointed bottom is a more traditional vibrator. That said, I didn’t love the way the suction mouth was designed. The opening is flat against the rest of the body, while I prefer suction toys where the rim sticks out (like on the Womanizer devices) so it’s easier to position over the clitoris.

What Is a Clit Sucker?

The “rose toy” is probably the most (in)famous clit sucker but it wasn’t the first and isn’t the only one out there.

Most sex toys for people with vulvas are designed around penetration (G-spot stimulation) or vibration (clitoral stimulation). Clit sucker toys work a little differently: they do focus on the clitoris, but they use suction technology and/or pulses of air to provide the stimulation.

Some clit sucker toys don’t even make direct contact with the clitoris or clitoral hood.

Lelo Sila and Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

But Why Should I Buy One?

You should buy one because you like having orgasms!

A clit sucker toy is a worthwhile addition to any vulva-haver’s adult toy box. As explained above, it’s a different kind of stimulation, and switching things up sometimes can be lots of fun.

Some people have compared the sensations that a clit sucker produces to cunnilingus. We’re not entirely convinced of that, to be honest, but if you are a person who climaxes most reliably from oral sex (and you are not alone!), this is a good product for you.

Enigma with the storage bag

Not all vulva-havers are able to orgasm from penetration, and some find vibrations too overwhelming. If either or both of these describe you, you may very well enjoy trying a clit sucker. It has a less mechanical feel than traditional vibrators.

Clit suckers can also be used in partnered sex. While they are designed for use on the clitoris, they can also be used on a partner’s nipples, testicles, or glans.

They are also good for traveling, since they are usually quieter than a traditional vibrator (and they don’t look like a dildo or other sex toy if/when TSA opens your carry-on in front of your family or your boss).

How To Use a Clit Sucker?

We say this in nearly every article, but lube is going to make this experience significantly better. Not only does it enhance sensation, but it helps the silicone head create a seal around your clitoris, which is essential for the suction to do its thing.

Even if you are planning on using it during partnered sex, we recommend a solo voyage the first time.

With a traditional vibrator, close enough is good enough because the vibrations spread. But a clit sucker needs to be precisely positioned to make a seal and to direct the pulses where they need to go, and it’s a lot easier to figure that out when you don’t have an audience (or even a willing helper). Be aware that it may take a few tries to get it right, but you’ll know when you do!

If this is new tech for you, start off on the lowest/slowest setting. Clit suckers can be very intense, which is not a bad thing at all, unless you’re not ready for it. Let your body adjust and then start playing with the settings.

Happy vibing!
