First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
Dame recently upgraded their packaging, and the new box blew me away. It was the first thing I noticed. This device came in a sturdy and gorgeous bright blue box; plus, it had everything I needed to get started: a USB charging cable, a recently updated storage bag, and a user manual (image below). It also comes with a cute little o-face sticker, part of their branding that I love. The only thing missing was a small sample of lube.
Thanks to the fact that the Com is waterproof, the user manual was much less interesting to read, with no warnings of premature death or anything, as is common in many wands’ manuals.

My Personal Experience
I have been a huge fan of the Dame brand since the beginning. I love the female-founded company that doesn’t treat self-pleasure like a dirty little secret or something that “naughty” people do. The sex-positive products are no-nonsense and thoughtful, often cleverer than their competitors. So I’m thrilled whenever I get the chance to review one of their products. (In the image below, you can see all the Dame sex toys I have tested.)
I love wands, but some of their old-fashioned attributes have meant they’re not my go-to toy. I had one that had to be plugged into the wall, which is fine if proximity to a wall happens to be your kink, but it’s less fun for those of us who don’t always masturbate in the same spot. It also wasn’t waterproof or easy to clean.
Before beginning research for this review, I was hopeful that Dame would correct some of these issues. And it did. Most wand vibrators are not waterproof, but Dame made one that still has the power to spare, is easy to use, has plenty of versatility, and can join you for a hot bath.
However, I wasn’t exactly sure why the body was crooked. At least, I wasn’t sure before I used it. After trying it, the shape is much more intuitive than other wands. The neck angles the head into your body, so you don’t have to twist it or contort the head into the most pleasurable position. It targets not just your clitoris but your entire vulva that way. It naturally lies against your pubic bone so you aren’t fighting nature and genetics to get the rumbles into the exact right spot. (You can see a closeup of the head in the image below.)
Though it felt lightweight compared to the other wands I’ve tried, it didn’t lack power. The lowest setting was more than enough for me (even over clothes), and the highest setting was incredible. To be completely honest, the highest intensity was overwhelming for me, but that’s because my clitoris is quite sensitive.
It’s not the most intense I’ve tried, but the power was still plentiful. Plus, the lighter feel means you can masturbate for longer without your arms feeling tired—if the Com doesn’t rip orgasm after orgasm out of you straight from the get-go.

Design
The design is unlike any other wand I’ve ever used. It’s shaped kind of like a banana or a human that needs to go to the chiropractor. The flexible neck is pliant enough to make it comfortable but not so moldable that you can’t get enough deep stimulation when you press the head closer.
Material
The Com is made from the kind of material that I like best: super-soft, waterproof silicone. It’s silky, and the whole thing feels luxurious from the handle to the head.
Stimulations
Though this isn’t the most powerful motor I’ve used, it will satisfy most people who prefer broad stimulation rather than pinpoint and love that rumble. It’s decently strong and provides plenty of deep vibrations.
Sound Level
I was kind of surprised by how quiet the Com is. When I was testing the battery, I momentarily lost track of where it was because I couldn’t find it based on sound alone. That was a first, especially for a wand.
When I tested how loud the Com was, it ranged from 46 to 56 decibels.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality is excellent, as is the case with any Dame toy you find. The silicone is seamless except for a very small area around the charger. The Com feels sturdy even though the neck is flexible and allows the head adjustability.
The dimensions are large, as wands tend to be. It’s not made to be travel-sized, but you could throw this in your carry-on. If you need something travel-sized, you could try the Magic Wand Mini, but that only saves you one inch in length. Ease of Use
The Com is exceptionally easy to use. The controls are intuitive, and it only has one function, so there’s no room for confusion. Plus, you don’t have to worry if this falls in the sink or bathtub since it’s waterproof.
There are only three buttons (image above). The very bottom button turns the toy on or off when held down for a couple of seconds. If you press it briefly, it will cycle you through the five different patterns.
Just above that button is the intensity button. Holding the top part that has an indented circle on it will increase the intensity; the lower part will decrease the intensity. If you hold the increase or decrease down, it will increase or decrease steadily. If you press either quickly, it will change in a stair-step manner.
Lastly, it’s light even though it is decently strong. That means you can hold it for longer without the bottom half of your arm getting tired.
Versatility
Wands are only built for one thing—jaw-dropping, eye-rolling, back-arching, toe-curling clitoral stimulation. So, they are typically not very versatile.
However, the Com is more versatile than most vibrators. It’s waterproof, making it perfect for shower sex or pool-time pleasure. It comes with a travel mode, so this is made for your vacays.
Next, the ergonomic shape made it a cinch to use during partnered sex, something most wands can’t boast about. You do have to be in the right position (spooning works well), but it’s fun to add that next-level sensation. It’s waterproof, so you could lube it up and insert it straight into your vulva, too.
Lastly, it can be used as a muscle massager. Or, you can use the idea that it could be a muscle massager if one of your roommates or family members finds this in your bedroom so you don’t have to be candid about your masturbation habits.

The Com comes with a three-year warranty, which is excellent. It gives you plenty of time to determine if this device is right for you and worth the price.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
When I compared how strong this wand’s vibrations were, it came up short next to the Magic Wands.
Next, the vibrations do transfer to your hand somewhat, so if you’re prone to numbness, keep that in mind.
Lastly, though the materials advertise the Com having a travel setting, there’s no information about how to use it. I emailed support to ask about it and I haven’t heard back yet.
Update: I received the following response from their customer support on how to use the travel lock: “To activate travel mode press and hold VIBES’ On/Off button for 10 seconds— the LED will blink for those 10 seconds and flash red at the end. Once in travel mode, VIBE cannot be turned on accidentally. To exit travel mode simply connect VIBE to charge for a few minutes.”

How To Charge Dame Com?
Charging the Dame Com is simple. Simply plug in the USB charging cable and then attach it to the metal pins on the bottom of the sex toy. While the toy charges, it will flash green, and it will stay continuously lit green once it has been fully charged (image below). When it has a low battery, it will flash red.
When I tested the wand’s battery, it lasted for three hours and thirty-three minutes on the lowest power on a single charge. The user manual estimated that it would last one hour on the highest setting, which seems likely. Then, to fully charge, it took one hour and fifty-eight minutes. The user manual said that it would take two and a half hours to charge, so it was a bit under that.
How To Clean Dame Com Wand?
Dame Com is the easiest-to-clean wand vibrator that I’ve tried. To clean, use antibacterial soap and warm water or a water-based toy cleaner. Skip the 100% alcohol-based cleaning solutions or anything containing petroleum or acetone. Then, allow to air-dry or wipe dry with a lint-free towel. Don’t forget to clean before and after each use.
