Vixskin’s slogan is “worth every inch,” an excellent slogan when you put out seriously sizable dicks like the Johnny. The details are incredible, down to the tiny wrinkles on the balls. I got to try out Johnny, which is so lifelike that it looks like it fell off an aroused mannequin. These phalluses are legendary in the sex toy community, so I was excited to test my Vixskin Johnny to see what all the fuss was about.
Johnny’s texture is something you must feel to believe and has made me a newfound fan of dual-density dildos. It’s large enough to reach all the right places without feeling so big that it is overwhelming. It’s also more flexible than I thought it would be, even at its core, which gives this silicone model a realistic feeling that others can’t compete with. Overall, it’s an excellent investment for ultra-lifelike dildo fans or anyone who can’t get enough G-spot and P-spot stimulations – highly recommended!
Who Should Try It? If you want a sex toy that’s as real as they come and can afford to buy it, Johnny is perfect for you.
Who Can Skip It? Some people won’t like a hyper-realistic dildo like this one. For those, it may be better to buy a non-phallic product like Lovehoney Curved instead. In addition, budget-seekers or beginners should probably buy a cheaper model, like Lifelike Lover Classic, to try the waters.

What Is Vixen Creations Johnny Vixskin?
Vixskin Johnny is a realistic dildo made by Vixen Creations. It has a realistic veiny shaft, two testicles, and a double-density design, so it feels incredibly close to a real penis. The big deal about dual density is that the silicone core is quite firm, while the outside silicone is as soft as skin. This feat of science makes them even more lifelike, texture-wise.
Design and Features
Vixskin Johnny features at a glance:
- Vixskin Material: 100% platinum silicone
- Size: Insertable length: 7 inches; insertable circumference: 1.75 inches; overall length: 8 inches; circumference around the base: 5.75 inches
- Color: Vanilla, caramel, chocolate, tie bright, or midnight pearl
- Mechanism: Dildo for g-spot or p-spot fun
- Weight: 13.5 ounces
Packaging
Vixskin Johnny is mailed discreetly in a cardboard box. Inside the Vixskin box is a plastic container with the Vixskin logo on the front. After you open the box, you can see that it’s a dildo immediately, so be careful when you open your mail.
The packaging is a little bare-bones, but this dildo does not require a charger or instructions. It comes with everything you need except for a storage container.
Material
The whole thing is made of 100% platinum silicone, which is non-porous and simple to clean. The outer layer is pliable, and it has a squishy tip. It’s soft enough for semi-easy insertion and ultra-touchable since it’s made of a dual-density material.
The bottom is a non-slip base, meaning you can use this dick hands-free.
Dimensions
This silicone dildo has seven insertable inches and is quite girthy as well. It makes a perfect gift for the size queen in your life!
Though the Vixen Creations website mentions it has a 1.75″ width, I got my measuring tape out, and it came in at 1 7/8″ rather than 1 3/4″. Mine was ever so slightly larger than listed.
Design
Johnny’s body is large and full of lifelike details. It’s a circumcised dildo with veins on the shaft and fine lines in the skin, and it even has an upward curve and a prominent coronal ridge.
You’ll want to keep this one tucked away in your nightstand when company comes over or your kids wander into the bedroom. Otherwise, people may have questions.
Warranty and Support
Vixen doesn’t accept returns, and that’s a good thing. It means that you never have to worry about getting a repackaged, “gently used” toy, which is beyond gross.
However, Vixen still offers an excellent warranty. The website mentions that if you take proper care of them, Vixskin dildos can last a lifetime. If you buy a toy from an authorized retailer and there’s a manufacturer defect, they will replace it.
The Johnny is the first toy I’ve seen with a lifetime warranty.
How To Use Vixskin Johnny?
After you wash Vixskin Johnny, grab a lot of water-based lubricants and then insert him. Use quite a bit of lube, more than you think you’ll need. This toy is also harness-compatible. So alternatively, you could grab a harness with an O-ring that has a 1.75-inch diameter, lube Johnny up, and use him with a partner.
Pro Tip: If you’re going to use this toy to peg someone who isn’t super experienced, plan to take your time with the lube and warm up with something smaller, as this toy means business. It’s a bigger toy.
Then, after you finish, make sure it’s stored upright on its flat base so it doesn’t bend any further. The slight curve it comes with makes it realistic, and you’ll want to keep that precise angle for as long as you have it.

My Personal Experience
I don’t have many lifelike dicks in my house, but I can understand the appeal. It can enhance the fantasy element of your solo pleasure sessions, and of course, it is always fun for pegging. Since Johnny is supposed to be the best of the best, I was excited to have him teach me what I was missing and invade my nightstand with his daunting size.
By the way, I have a few nicknames I’d like to offer up for Johnny that I think are appropriate:
- Johnny Cash (because it’s expensive),
- Johnny B. Goode (because this dildo is good at mimicking the real deal),
- And Johnny Feelgood (well, this one’s obvious).
Ease Of Use
You’ll need to use your arm strength to thrust Johnny once he’s in a good spot, and the trouble is that Johnny’s balls make this somewhat difficult. You must get the proper grip, or your hand will tire almost immediately.
Riding the dildo is much easier, except it doesn’t have a suction cup. The grip is a bit tricky to master, and you might have to play around with it to find a way to maneuver it comfortably.
Stimulations
The first thing I realized about lifelike toys: I can’t quite feel all the veins and ridges on the shaft. My vagina doesn’t have a palate, I suppose. But I could feel the coronal ridge. I think the rest of the details exist for aesthetic reasons rather than because you can feel each contour. My vaginal walls are sensitive, but they’re not that sensitive. Yet, overall, the realistic head combined with the firm inner core means that this bad boy did a good job mimicking the real thing on my G-spot.
Further, it’s large enough to reach all the right places without feeling so big that it is overwhelming. It’s more flexible than I thought it would be, even at its core, which gives this silicone dildo a realistic feeling that others can’t compete with.
The head is squishy but not so soft that it will have trouble stimulating most G-spots and the texture of the outer layer is something you must feel to believe. It has made me a newfound fan of dual-density toys, especially dual-density dildos since the texture combination is unique.
Versatility
Another cool thing about the Vixskin Johnny: it warms up. So, if you boil it to sterilize it, you can let it cool down for a little while and then use it while it’s still barely warm for temperature play. Always start with it a little cooler than you think it needs to be since your skin down there is extra sensitive to temperature.
Pro Tip: If you don’t want to go to the trouble of boiling it and waiting, the Johnny will warm up from the friction against your skin, so it will still feel warmer than most other dildos, which is another factor that makes it extra realistic.
Pegging Play
Using Johnny with a harness was fun as well. The balls help it stay in the harness without wiggling quite as much, so it’s easier to use for penetration. (If interested, read our reviews of other strap-ons here.)
Minor issues I found during testing
While the dual-density Vixskin material makes it feel real, it also makes the dick stick a little, as real skin would. Put extra lube on the head and shaft so that it glides easily and you don’t end up chafed. You may also want to switch hands halfway through so that it stays comfortable to grip, although this means you’ll have to learn to be an ambidextrous masturbator. But that’s a skill you’ll use for the rest of your life, so it’s a worthy endeavor.

Who Should Try It
If you want a dildo that’s as real as they come and can afford to buy the best, the silicone toy is the perfect selection for you.
Who Can Skip This Sex Toy
If you need clitoral stimulation to get off, you might prefer something that at least offers dual stimulation. People on a budget can find cheaper options for realistic dildos as well.
How It Stacks Up Against Other Vixen Creations Toys
Vixen Creations Maverick Vixskin
The Maverick is Johnny’s slightly girthier cousin, measuring two inches thick. The Maverick’s head is noticeably softer than the Johnny, which may appeal to you or not. Some people need firmer material to get enough G-spot stimulation, so you’ll enjoy the Johnny more than the Maverick.
The Maverick Vixskin costs $130, slightly less than Johnny. It comes in an array of colors and doesn’t have testicles, so it will be easier to grip.
Mustang Vixskin
The Mustang is Johnny’s slightly more svelte cousin. The Mustang is 6.5” long and 1 5/8” inches wide. It’s ideal for people who don’t like huge dildos but still want the quality of the dual-density silicone.
It costs $130, slightly less than the Johnny, making it a good dildo for newbies.

Tantus Sam
The Tantus Sam Dildo Vibrator is realistic but quite a bit veinier than the Johnny. The Tantus has a suction cup, perfect for hands-free usage, and is somewhat bigger at 7.4”. It costs $90, cheaper than the Johnny.
It also comes with a vibrator for those who want additional stimulation, but the vibrator is relatively small and doesn’t pack much power. The Sam is also a dual-density toy so you’ll get that super-soft feeling no matter which one you purchase.
RealCock 2 Dirk
The RealCock 2 Dirk is made by the same folks who created RealDoll, the popular sex doll. And just as you might expect, it looks like a real cock. The folks at RealDoll are experts at making things look real, and the RealCock 2 Dirk is an exceptional example of this. The coloring makes these toys exceptionally realistic.
RealCock 2 Dirk has individual floating balls and is compatible with the Vac-U-Lock system, meaning you could use it with the Motorbunny Buck (read the full review here).
Dirk also has three tones to choose from, or if you have an extra $1,000 handy, they can make you one that will perfectly match your skin. It’s 8 ½ inches long and has 2 inches of girth, but RealCock 2 is expensive. Shockingly expensive. It costs $500, making it an heirloom dildo.

Cleaning and Maintenance
This toy doesn’t have a motor and is 100% silicone, so it’s super easy to clean. Wash with warm water and soap, or sterilize it by boiling it in water for three minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How flexible is Johnny?
Johnny’s head and outer layer feel squishy in the best possible way. On the other hand, the firm inner core is relatively rigid, but you can still bend it somewhat. The soft outer layer and firm inner core make the dildo very realistic.
What lube should I use?
Since this product is made of silicone, you should only use water-based lubricant. Never use silicone lube with Vixskin silicone sex toys since it can degrade the material.
