How We Picked the Products

Led by Sandra Larson, the product test team reviewed close to 40 strap-ons for straight couples to incorporate into their sex life and enjoy the pleasures of power shift. Among the pegging dildos we reviewed, Johnny stood out. We especially loved the dual-density design because it gave it a super realistic feel (image above). Even the squishiest of silicone dildos didn’t come close – it felt like an erect dick with a firm inner core and draggy layer that moves during sex. The closest dildo I’ve used is the RealCock 2 Dirk, but it’s too expensive for the average consumer.

Unlike most strap-on dildos we reviewed, Vixen Johnny went a step ahead in realism (image below). The flared base was replaced with a set of realistic balls. While I was skeptical of whether the balls would get in the way, we found that they didn’t. There was a gliding line between the shaft and the balls for the O-ring. In addition, the balls help the dildo stay in the harness without wiggling, making anal penetration easier.

Vixen Johnny is compatible with most kits – as long as the O-ring has a 1.75″ diameter. I found models with reinforced openings held the dildo better, and it didn’t slump like with the slim silicone rings.

Surprisingly, Tim said he couldn’t quite feel the veins and ridges on the shaft during pegging. I teased him that his anal cavity didn’t have a palate, but it turns out my vagina doesn’t have one either because when I tried the dildo solo, I couldn’t feel the texture. However, we both felt the defined coronal ridge and experienced the wrath of the meaty cock.

Vixen Johnny’s flexibility was off the roof. I quickly manipulated the dildo when pegging my husband to reach all the right places. And with a soft head, I knew Tim could handle the prostate stimulation (he doesn’t like stiff dildos near his P-spot).

The built-in O-ring felt firm. In addition, it accommodates dildos with a diameter of 1.25″ -2″ as long as they have a flared base. I found using wide dildos made for a better connection and easy penetration because the dildo wasn’t wiggling.

Away from the comfy fit, I loved that the designers included two pockets in the crotch’s internal lining to house bullet vibrators. Of course, the degree of stimulation will depend on the vibrator you go for, but I loved the resulting sensations.
