How We Picked the Products

I picked over 35 products for this article, prioritizing in-house testing with more than one reviewer to separate the best from the rest. Before engaging my fellow sex experts at My Sex Toy Guide, I developed a list of test criteria we could measure on a scale from 0 to 100, including:

How about the motor? Can such a small form factor pack enough punch? Well, I wasn’t sure at first, but Tango X debunked the myth that you can’t pack power in small packages. The motor packs incredible passion for the size, and even with the plastic tip, the rumbles pass through seamlessly without fading away. “I could feel the tremor coming even at the lowest settings, and the power kept improving as I cranked the volume. And with seven vibration patterns, the vibe is easy to customize”, Rachel Sommer clarified.

Our budget-conscious readers will be happy to know that We-Vibe kept the price affordable even with the powerful motor and high-quality silicone and ABS materials. Although the indented buttons and different materials mean you have to deal with the seams that complicate cleaning a little, the designers worked hard to balance several factors and make it the perfect bullet vibrator.

The versatility also stood out during the review. As you can see in the image above, the small size and pointed plastic tip let you use Tango X on other erogenous zones like the inner thighs, nipples, or your partner’s balls and frenulum. In addition, couples can use tango X during sex thanks to its small size –choose positions like doggy style and spooning, which give the arm more breathing room. Minor issues we found during testing:

While the We-Vibe Tango X remains one of the most powerful bullet vibrators I’ve used, if you need a super-powered wand to climax, you’ll need something more robust like LELO Soraya Wave.

In addition, the combination of indented buttons and two different materials (silicone and ABS plastic) creates seams that make cleaning slightly tricky.

Compared to other bullets it has an interesting shape. Almost like a hammer. But this is all by design since this shape makes it possible to use it for both internal and external stimulation. Don’t we all love a practical design!?

The simple and easy-to-grip design was highlighted in the test reports. “The compact size fits comfortably in the palm, and the ergonomic build significantly enhances handling”, Sandra Larson noted. “With subtle curves and angles hugging all the right places, Ambi is incredibly satisfying.

The build quality was another highlight of the review which Sandra summarized in these words: “Ambi felt solid with no cheap or flimsy parts. Unlike the We-Vibe Tango X, the all-silicone body eliminates the annoying seams, making cleaning and overall maintenance quick and straightforward. Everyone agreed that the smooth silicone felt great on the skin; even folks with ultra-sensitive parts will love the sensations. Something else that stood out during the review was Ambi’s ease of use. The control interface is strategically positioned at the base so you can regulate the rumbles easily. With a single button, it’s foolproof.

Lovense Ambi is compatible with our favorite sex toy application (IMHO), the Lovense Remote app (screenshots below). The dedicated mobile application has an intuitive interface that lets you enjoy more than a set of vibration patterns and speeds. We especially appreciated how easy it was to cycle through the settings and the extra bells and whistles like the sound-activated mode and music sync that enhanced hands-free pleasure.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, the bullet vibrator doesn’t stay in place during sex, making it not entirely hands-free. And unlike the We-Vibe Tango X, it’s a little bigger, making handling during partnered sex more complicated.

Another frustration was the finicky charging port. The magnetic charger is too sensitive and requires precision to start charging. I’ve been disappointed a few times after leaving it to recharge, only to come back and find that it slipped out of place.

We were surprised at how much functionality the mobile application added to the experience. The magnetic clip adds to the stability, ensuring the bullet remains in position. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many vibration patterns to choose from. The four preset patterns might be limiting for some people, but you can always create your own and customize the experience with the mobile app.

Besides the limited settings, we loved the strength of the vibrations. Rachel Sommer described them like this: “I thought the intensity was twice as much as other wearable bullet vibrators I reviewed. I’m not as sensitive, and clitoral stimulation was intense for the size. The vibrations weren’t as startlingly loud as anticipated. Of course, the sex toy is not whisper-quiet, but the motor is relatively quiet; you might have to contend with lower settings if you’re using it in a super-quiet environment.”

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, Ferri is designed to stimulate the clitoris only. Unlike most products in the article, it doesn’t have dual stimulation capabilities. If you must have dual sensations, I recommend Lelo Soraya Wave.

Note: The Lovense mobile app is excellent for camming models because it gives them total control over the experience. You can quickly share links to the live show and regulate the available power, so even the big spenders don’t overstimulate your vagina with the controls. Lush 4’s quality of sensations was another highlight we couldn’t overlook. Although we’d expected a dual motor design as an improvement from its predecessor, we loved how powerful the solo motor felt. We have used numerous Lovense toys over the years, and the quality of the build has always been a winning point for the brand. Luckily, the Lush 4 was no exception, and the well-thought-out dimensions and carefully selected materials were evidence of the brand’s commitment to customer satisfaction. The rugged neck felt more durable than the flimsy one of its predecessor, and the model’s IPX7 waterproof classification makes it aquatic fun-ready.

Lastly, the device was relatively versatile compared to other models in the price range. Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, the 4^th generation vibrator only has a single motor, which can be a bummer for users looking for dual G-spot and clit stimulation.

Something else that was exciting was the compact size. It felt comfortable on the hands and quickly slipped between bodies during sex.

The vibrations were stronger than anticipated. I loved teasing my partner’s nipples and inner thighs with the lower settings before cranking them on the clitoris. Five patterns and two intensity levels made up an excellent range. I also loved how quiet the motor sounded. I expected more noise because of the powerful vibrations, but Amo’s rumbles proved discreet.

Pro Tip: Unlike Jimmy Jane Chroma, whose vibrations are on the buzzy side of the spectrum, Hot Octopuss Amo is more on the rumbly side – my favorite.

The curved backside (image above) on the Amo added to the versatility, making it perfect for broad stimulation. I love that I could easily switch between pinpoint and broad stimulations by turning the bullet vibe on the side.

Unfortunately, the battery life could be better in the highest settings. You can go for hours on slower patterns, but the longest you can get when cranked up to max is around 40 minutes. However, the powerful rumbles make up for the limited time.

Minor issues we found during testing:

If you enjoy longer masturbation or partnered sex sessions – 40+ minutes, you might have to look elsewhere. We-Vibe Tango X is my top recommendation.

Using the stylish bullet vibrator is extremely easy. The experience was straightforward from start to finish. I had to read the brief manual for the review, but the control interface is responsive and easy to understand, so I wouldn’t say reading the manual was necessary.

The motor is punchy and has a selection of three settings. I was disappointed initially with the limited vibration speeds, but I loved how widely dispersed the vibrations were. I think most sex toy users will enjoy the variety.

The squishy head feels comfortable on the clitoris but doesn’t deaden the vibrations. In fact, I thought the extra softness added to the royalty and luxurious feel. Hot Octopuss DiGiT’s compact design stands out from the competition. We loved how small yet sophisticated it looked to the eye and how easy-to-use it felt in the hands. Besides the small size, DiGiT’s design included a finger loop (image above) to make it more ergonomic (Bravo!). We noted that the open-ended loop is more flexible for people with large fingers. Unlike a closed-ended loop, it’s more comfortable even when worn for extended periods.

The small bullet vibrator is made from velvety smooth silicone material, balancing a posh look and cozy feel. On the other hand, the polycarbonate finger loop feels sturdy, and the open end makes it even more pliable. I’ve used the toy multiple times and never worried that the loop would snap.

It has a squishy silicone rounded tip, significantly increasing the surface area for more accurate clitoral stimulation. I think the designers rounded the tip to make the petite toy more effective. The small size makes it perfect for frequent travelers and vacationers, while the intelligent design significantly improves the output.

Another standout feature was the powerful motor. Of course, I’ve used more powerful vibes, but DiGiT’s felt like it was punching above its weight, an impressive quality for a sex toy. It also has multiple vibration patterns (five modes and adjustable speeds), creating a pleasant experience regardless of your experience.

Lastly, we appreciated that the designers used a three-button control interface. Most bullet vibrators of this size have a single button, making it tedious to cycle through all the settings repeatedly to get back to a favorite one.

Minor issues we found during testing:

The charging port felt flimsy, and I was worried I would break it when I first charged the vibrator. In addition, the charge time vs output time is one of the worst – two hours vs 40 minutes.

Unfortunately, tweaking the settings means messing with the momentum. You have to halt the experience periodically to increase or reduce the vibration speed, which can be a bummer.

Unlike other models in the price and size range, We-Vibe Touch X is made with velvety silicone material from end to end. The grippy surface enhances the user experience, avoiding the annoying slips when you have lubed-up hands.

The ergonomic shape extends to the tapering, enhancing precision. Plus, with the small size, the sex toy slips between bodies cozily, enhancing the experience during partnered sex. I loved the pointed head because it made it easier to hit the sweet spots with minimal hand movements.

Another standout feature was the vast collection of vibration settings. Unlike most bullet vibes we tested for the article, the toy has seven vibration modes and eight pleasure settings. Besides making it easy to customize the experience, the vast selection of vibration patterns renders the toy perfect for different users. I don’t have the most sensitive clitoris, but my colleagues who do point out how the first few settings made the experience gentle.
