How to Use We-Vibe Rave 2?
After opening the box, you should clean the toy and charge it. While it charges, flip through the manual if you want, but at the very least, decide whether you’d like to use the toy with the buttons or through the app.
If you want to use the buttons, turn it on by holding down the + button. To control the different motors independently, press the We-Vibe button which looks like a sideways S. The first push of the We-Vibe button activates the motor at the tip which sends vibes to your vaginal opening that you can now control with the plus and minus buttons. Pressing the button twice turns on the G-spot vibe. If you want to use both motors, press it three times.
If you want to use the We-Vibe app, download it and follow the prompts. When you are ready to pair the Rave 2, press and hold the We-Vibe button for five seconds. You will know it is ready when it vibrates twice. Then, follow the instructions in the app. The side arrow buttons will take you through the vibration patterns, while the plus and minus buttons will increase or decrease the intensity. To turn the toy off, press and hold the minus button.
Grab some water-based lube and lube up the internal end of the toy. Lube up your vulva, too. Insert it using the ergonomic handle. My Personal Experience
An internal vibe that’s meant to be twisted rather than thrust piqued my interest immediately. Have we relied on thrusting vibes for so long because that is the heteronormative way? The vaginal opening is an underrated erogenous zone, and I was excited to find out if We-Vibe was onto something here. I tried it at the angle it arrived in first, which is straight with a slight forward bend. Insertion was easy enough, but I could not feel any difference that the ridge made until I started twisting the vibe. When I twisted it, it definitely seemed to pinpoint spots all over inside, which was different than keeping constant contact on my G spot. Even so, it was pleasurable and a fun change from what I’m used to. I was shocked at how precisely I could target different internal spots with the vibrations. Great job, We-Vibe!
The vibrations didn’t travel to my clitoris—at least, the external component didn’t. So, I tried bending the vibe to see if that helped. I still mostly felt internal sensations, but they were rumbly and pleasurable. When the end is bent, twisting the vibe looks like you’re stirring up some vulva recipe, which made me laugh. However, the motion of twisting made my arms tired sooner than using a thrusting dildo, but that could just be because I’m new to the motion. It was especially tricky with my lubed-up fingers, so I recommend keeping a rag around to wipe the lube off your fingers so you can establish a firm grip.
It was much easier for my partner to do since the angle was better, so this one may be more beneficial to use during partnered play.
Overall, I thought this was an exciting change, and I think the experts at We-Vibe are onto something here. Thrusting (even with the addition of vibration) is not the be-all and end-all of internal pleasure for people with vulvas. Not only can other ways of masturbating be pleasurable and novel, but it can also be helpful for those who are not turned on by or have trauma from penetration.

The packaging was gorgeous but not ostentatious; plus, it came with everything I needed to get started (minus a small packet of lube). I always love We-Vibe’s thoughtful packaging!
Design
The asymmetrical design is what differentiates this toy from the competition. Not only does the shape look twisted so that some part of the tip is in constant contact with your G spot, but there’s also an internal hinge so that you can adjust the shape to your preference.
I love this idea. I think that all sex toys should be adjustable. Many people have vaginismus, retroverted uteri, and other conditions that mean that a one-size-fits-all sex toy won’t work for them. To address this, the We-Vibe Rave 2 bends forward into a C-shape (as I demonstrate in the above image), or you can use it in the original flat, straightish shape.
Material
All of We-Vibe’s toys are made from high-quality, body-safe materials. This one is made from soft-touch silicone, a soft-but-not-squishy silicone. I love this type of material because it doesn’t give way like some of the too-soft kinds. The pressure stays full force for the pinpoint people (like me) who love to dig it in as they approach orgasm.
Stimulations
With G-spot vibrators, the biggest question is whether the stimulations are buzzy or rumbly. When I tested it, I found that they were reasonably rumbly. Further, the website advertises that the design offers uninterrupted G-spot contact. However, when I tested it, I found that it didn’t quite stay in contact with my G-spot at all times.
Ostensibly, this shape should remove the requirement of thrusting for stimulation. Rather than thrusting, We-Vibe recommends that you twist the vibe to get the most out of the asymmetrical shape. I wanted to find out if it was so pleasurable that I would twist this to reach orgasm. I’m not going to lie, I’m a pretty lazy masturbator, so usually the most comfortable, easiest to use while lying down vibe is my pick. But I thought that the twisting sensation was fun.
I also loved that the two motors offered not just G-spot vibes but an additional boost at the vaginal opening. I was hoping this would be enough to reach my clit externally, but what I found was it doesn’t bend quite that much. Further, like a few other We-Vibe products I own, this toy has surface-level vibrations, and then a deeper, mechanical thump as well. Some people will find this very pleasurable.
Sound Level
When I tested the sound level, the decibels ranged from 34-54. It’s not whisper quiet, but it’s about what you would expect from a toy this powerful.

We-Vibe Rave versus Rave 2
The We-Vibe Rave original (image below) was a G-spot vibe as well with the same twisted design that aims to stay in contact with your G spot at all times.
